Virginia Tech at Virginia 8:00 ET

Hokies (-) over Cavaliers- In a rivalry like this taking the home team with pints looks very inviting. Virginia is a much improved squad that is already bowl eligible for the first time since 2011. The Hokies have won 13 straight and 17 of 18 in this series including last season's 52-10 blowout. The Cavaliers have improved but after last weeks physical beating at Miami they just won't have enough. Take VIRGINIA TECH! 

Iowa at Nebraska 4:00 ET

Cornhuskers (+)**** over Hawkeyes- Is this the same Iowa team that put up 55 points and 487 yards against Ohio State...of course it's not! The Hawkeyes had scored under 20 points in four of their five Big Ten games before the Buckeyes and have scored just 14 and 15 in their last two. That's good news for the Cornhuskers defense which gave up 609 yards to Penn State last week. Both these clubs are 3-5 in conference play and Iowa has had their moment. Finally, Mike Riley Nebraska head coach is 21-7-1 ATS after consecutive losses and 13-1 ATS as a dog. (Take ML). Take NEBRASKA! 

Missouri at Arkansas 2:30 ET

Razorbacks (+)*** over Tigers- I have had some problems with this Missouri team winnings and losing ATS but I have don't very well with the Razorbacks both on and against them including last weeks winner (+14) over Mississippi State. Bret Bielema longs for the days when Wisconsin was a shoe in for bowl action year after year and may be seeking employment soon as the boosters can only complain about their 1-5-1 ATS record at home and 4-7 overall. But, the home team is 5-0 ATS in this series and the 'Backs give Bret a fond farewell. Take ARKANSAS!

Navy at Houston 9:00 ET

Cougars (-)*** over Midshipmen- I can't help this one and I always hate playing against the Navy (it's a WWII Dad thing). The Midshipmen who are undergoing trials at Annapolis daily are off a huge effort at Notre Dame (cover) and have the Army up next. Even for these guys who are trained to remained focused they have to be thinking about the Cadets as they have revenge on their mind after last season's loss to West Point. Take HOUSTON!

Mississippi at Mississippi State 7:30 ET

Bulldogs (-) over Rebels- This is the final game for Mississippi (5-6) even if they win the Egg Bowl here they are not eligible for a bowl game due to an NCAA investigation that led to the firing of former coach Hugh Freeze. The Bulldogs are led by Nick Fitzgerald who accounted for 367 yards running and passing in last season 55-20 win over the Rebels. Mississippi doesn't have anyone that can meet those numbers. Take MISSISSIPPI STATE!

Missouri at Vanderbilt 7:30 ET

Commodores (+) over Tigers- The Commodores opened the season with three straight wins including a 14-7 win over Kansas State but have dropped their last six of their last seven and are winless (0-6) in the SEC. Missouri started poorly losing five straight after a Division-II win over Missouri State 72-43, but have rebounded four four straight wins and six straight 'covers' averaging 53.8 points in their four wins. Vanderbilt has held opponents passing yardage under 200 per contest and that will keep this one close enough to get the money. Take VANDERBILT! 

U.C.L.A. at Southern California 8:00 ET

Bruins (+) over Trojans- What is going on with this UCLA team? They open the season with a huge comeback win over Texas A&M but have been one of the worst 'takes' this season going 1-6 ATS in seven straight before last weeks win over Arizona State. I don't know about anybody else but I believe Southern California is vastly over-rated and their 3-7 record ATS backs that up. If San Darnold is the first quarterback picked in the NFL Draft it will be because no other QB's are in the draft. UCLA is averaging 6.5 yards per play but are a horrid 0-5 both straight-up and ATS on the road this season. This time they get the money. Take UCLA! 

Texas A&M at Mississippi 7:00 ET

Rebels over Aggies- Texas A&M quarterback Nick Starkel broke his ankle in the season opener against UCLA and has returned in record setting fashion throwing for 416 yards and four touchdowns last week against New Mexico. But, Mississippi has some quarterback number of their own as Jordan Ta'amu totaled five touchdowns and 431 yards and has scored on 95% of his Red Zone possessions. The Rebels are 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings. Take MISSISSIPPI!

Georgia Tech at Duke 3:30 ET

Blue Devils (+) over Yellow Jackets- I feel very comfortable coming against the Engineers here as 'we' used them in as one of our 'Early-Bird' winners over Virginia Tech and I expect a small letdown here on the road. Georgia Tech needs to win one of their last two final games to become bowl eligible and they have Georgia on deck and will be under pressure on the road where they are 0-3 straight-up. Duke needs to win their final two after bowing to Army 21-17 their sixth straight loss. The Blue Devils will do it on defense allowing just 333 yards per game and will be able to slow down the Yellow Jackets enough to at least 'cover.' Take DUKE! 

Mississippi State at Arkansas 12:00 ET

Razorbacks (+) over Bulldogs- Mississippi State (+14) was in their battle of the season last week winning for 'us' as a Power Play Best Bet winner against Alabama 24-31, and they left their heart and game on the field. It is difficult for me to comprehend just how bad the Razorbacks (4-6) are and how far they have fallen under head coach Bret Bielema going just 11-27 in SEC games. Arkansas will start Austin Allen at quarterback following Cole Kelley's suspension. The Bulldogs have arch-rival Mississippi on deck and that is now their priority as they get caught looking ahead. Take ARKANSAS! 

Texas Christian at Texas Tech 12:00 ET

Red Raiders (+) over Horned Frogs- We all know that on any given day TCU will just shut down and run over Texas Tech as the Red Raiders don't play any kind of defense and the Horned Frogs should dominate play. The Horned Frogs understand that their playoff dream has ended off their 38-20 Oklahoma beating. So shook up is TCU head coach Gary Patterson that he is making a change at quarterback. Frogs will be 'down' this week and Red Raiders averaging 38 points at home will possibly pull off the outright upset. Take TEXAS TECH!

Texas at West Virginia 12:00 ET

Longhorns (+) over Mountaineers- The 'numbers' just don't add up. I mean here is West Virginia 7-3 on the season 4-1 at home both straight-up and ATS hosting a 5-5 Texas team. Now, if you consider the 'home' field advantage to be at least 4-points in college football the Vegas oddsmakers would have this game a pick-em at a neutral site. The Mountaineers average 44 points per game at home while the Longhorns average just 21.5 on the road, and yet W. VA is only favored by little more then a field goal. This doesn't seem right...take TEXAS! 

U.N.L.V at New Mexico 9:30 ET

Rebels (+) over Lobos- Hard to believe that the last win New Mexico posted was in September when we had them over Air Force a 56-38 win. Since that victory it has been 0-5 both straight-up and ATS and now they are a small home favorite over inconsistent UNLV. The Rebels have lost outright as a 45-point favorite and defeated Fresno State as a 22-point underdog. I do know that UNLV has three players that will be playing on Sunday's before their careers are done while New Mexico can muster just 135 per game passing while averaging only 20.3 points per contest while surrendering 31 a game. Take UNLV!

Notre Dame at Miami 8:00 ET

Hurricanes (+) over Fighting Irish- Undefeated Miami-FL is once again an underdog at home and they are just going to have to go out and repeat what happened last week when Virginia Tech came to town and got beat down. This match-up along with the SEC Georgia/Auburn matchup are the 'prime' games among a slue of great games Saturday. Most of us are aware of the storyline history of these two schools where Notre Dame has an 18-7-1 series advantage, but the Hurricanes have won the last five in Miami. Contrast in styles here as the Irish will run the ball every chance they get and Miami will have to throw the ball in order ti win. At home...it's the HURRICANES!  

Alabama at Mississippi State 7:00 ET

Bulldogs (+) over Crimson Tide- Okay. So, Alabama is No. 2 allowing just 9.8 points per game but last weeks opponent had more yards on offense then the Tide and it looks as though they have the same issues on offense although they do average 41 points per. Last season 'Bama won their ninth straight in this series 51-3 gaining 615 yards. But, that was last season and this season Mississippi State is ranked 11th nationally in rushing offense (259) but have almost as many interceptions (10) and TD passes (13) and they rank 7th nationally in total defense. Being at home will help as the Bulldogs look to control the ball as they hosts are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings. Take MISSISSIPPI STATE! 

Southern California at Colorado 4:00 ET

Buffaloes (+) over Trojans- USC is one of the most under-achieving teams in the country along with their quarterback Sam Darnold who is so disappointed in his own play that he most likely will return to the Trojans next season when they have a chance at the championship ring. Right now even the most dedicated USC fans would be happy with the Rose Bowl. Colorado is another middle of the roader that needs to win either this week or next week at Utah to become bowl-eligible. The Trojans are 11-0 all-time against Colorado but the Buffs are 3-1 ATS in the last four and the home team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings. Take COLORADO!  

Georgia at Auburn 3:30 ET

Tigers (+) over Bulldogs- “Oh Lordy” would I love to be in Jordan-Hare Stadium for this smash mouth SEC affair. No. 1 Georgia has it on both sides of the ball and has dominated the Tigers at Auburn winning seven of the last 10 outright. Yet, the nation's top-ranked team is favored by less then a field goal. Now, with the understanding that the Tigers are ranked No. 10 and have scored over 40 points in each of their last five games (tying a school record). The Bulldogs won 13-7 last season in Athens without scoring a touchdown. This time it won't matter. Take AUBURN!  

Iowa at Wisconsin 3:30 ET

Badgers (-) over Hawkeyes- Okay let me look at this from a distance...alright far enough. Wisconsin is aware must 'win out' in order to be considered for the Final-4 and even then there are those that say they won't get in. So, here comes Iowa here comes winners of their last two including a 55-14 trouncing of Ohio State last week and that's the rub. They just killed Ohio State and now they travel to Camp Randell in Madison where the Badgers are 5-0. Iowa is 5-0 ATS in their last five visits but this is a different scenario. Take WISCONSIN! 

Virginia Tech at Georgia Tech 9:20 ET

Yellow Jackets (+) over Hokies- Very happy after playing against imposter Virginia Tech with my 'Major Shocker' winner 28-10 Miami-Fl last week. I say imposter even though the Hokies have only lost to Clemson and Miami-FL. who are 16-1 between them while three of Georgia Tech's losses have come by a combined six points. With their 'bubble-burst' after last weeks loss, Virginia Tech will have difficulty getting it together to try and defense Paul Johnson's offense. Take YELLOW JACKETS! 

Michigan State at Ohio State 12:00 ET

Buckeyes (-) over Spartans- Let me start by saying if this game was being played in Prime-time it could be on the top of my list. There is so much that doesn't seem right. Okay, both teams are 7-1 (5-1) and can make it to the Big Ten Championship game if the win out. We all understand that Ohio State has been under achieving this season while I would say the Spartans after winning just three games last season are over-achievers. If you are numbers guy these are so one-sided that when I see the line on this contest I have to smile. In the last six meetings the road team is 6-0 ATS and the Buckeyes are 6-15 ATS in their last 21 home games. But, to counter OSU is averaging 45 points per games while Michigan State produces just 25 points per contest and finally the Spartans are just 1-6 ATS in their last seven road games. In a BLOWOUT...OHIO STATE!

Florida at South Carolina 12:00 ET

Gators (+) over Gamecocks- What is more embarrassing the UCLA basketball team or the Florida Gators (3-5) football team. The Bruins haven't lost a game yet, a few players, yes, while Florida has lost five straight and had to dismiss their coach for 'fake newsing' death threats. South Carolina is getting back into bowl action with a 6-3 (4-3) record but realize they have no shot at the SEC East. Florida interim coach Randy Shannon (formerly of Miami-FL) will start quarterback Malik Zaire for the second straight week and he will have his game face on. Gators will regroup and suck it up here against a beatable foe. Take FLORIDA! 

Washington at Stanford 10:30 ET

Cardinal (+) over Huskies- Washington has won their last two after their shocking 13-7 loss to Arizona State coming off last weeks 38-3 win over Oregon. Stanford at 6-3 and having a disappointing season after last week loss to Washington State can actually make it to the PAC-12 title game with a win here and with the Huskies upsetting the Cougars two weeks from now. It is plausible and the Cardinal need just to win here first. A few notes: Washington is 1-9 ATS off a double-digit ATS win and Stanford is 7-0 ATS a conference home dogs of 4 or more points and they are 11-2 ATS after a conference loss. Getting points is a bonus. Take STANFORD!

BYU at UNLV 10:30 ET

Cougars (+) over Rebels- BYU has had their problems this season and have just lost their quarterback Tanner Mangum is out for the remainder of the season but that might not be such a bad thing. BYU is 16-3 in this series including 8-0 straight-up in Las Vegas. UNLV has won their last two and have had some exciting moments on offense but have yet to make tackle as their defense can be had by the worst offenses. The Rebels who are not used to winning are just 2-9 ATS after a two straight victories. Take BRIGHAM YOUNG! 

Temple at Cincinnati 7:00 ET

Bearcats (+) over Owls- Oh how I hate this side. Let me be truthful in all my years in the business there is one school above all other that has disappointed me at time when they were needed and no one has done it more to me then U. Cincinnati. I don't know what it is going back to the Oscar Robertson and Jack Twyman days, to Kenyon Martin and their recent football shortfalls. Temple who need to win two of their final three games to become bowl eligible after their upset win over Navy won last years' meeting 34-13 out-gaining Cincinnati 474-186. The Bearcats (3-6) had lost five straight before getting by Tulane 17-16 last week on a missed field goal attempt from the 26-yard line as time ran out and yet the Owls are favored by less then a field goal here. Line smells...I'll take my chances with CINCINNATI!

North Carolina at Pittsburgh 7:30 ET

Tar Heels (+) over Panthers- What a terrible season has it been for North Carolina. The Tar Heels opened the season as a 13-point favorite against California and lost outright at home 35-30 and it has all been down hill ever since. Carolina who has lost 17 players for the season to injury has won one game against powerful Old Dominion and is just 2-7 ATS covering two weeks ago getting 21-points against Miami FL in their 24-19 loss. Pittsburgh has won and 'covered' their last two contests but is still just 4-5 on the year and 3-4-2 ATS. North Carolina leads the series 8-3 all-time and can stay with the Panthers here. Take TAR HEELS!

Clemson at N.C. State 3:30 ET

Wolfpack (+) over Tigers- The Tigers realize that they must win-out to have a chance at reaching the Championship series and with their series record against N.C. State they should enter this fray with plenty of confidence as they have won the last five meetings and 9-of-10. But, NC State is 6-1-1 ATS as home dogs of 6 or more and will be ready here. Clemson is 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings but are 6-2 in their last eight meetings in Raleigh. A balanced offense and the return of Nyheim Hines at running back will be key for the Pack. Take NORTH CAROLINA STATE! 

Stanford at Washington State 13:30 ET

Cardinal (+) over Cougars- We have had a good handle on their two clubs going a combined 7-2 with and against either side. Washington State (7-2, 4-2) has been really, really good or a complete question mark. They have defeated USC 30-27 who Stanford lost to 42-24, they also have crushing wins at Oregon 33-10 and Colorado 28-0, but they have lost to Arizona 58-37 and Cal 37-3. Stanford meanwhile, after an 0-2 start losing to USC and San Diego State has won five straight. The Cardinal are 6-2 ATS in their last eight meetings in Pullman and the Visitor is 6-2 ATS the last eight. Take STANFORD! 

Wake Forest at Notre Dame 3:30 ET

Demon Deacons (+) over Fighting Irish- Notre Dame has reeled off six straight since their 20-19 home loss to No. 2 Georgia and have moved into the third spot in the College Football Playoff rankings. Notre Dame blasted No. 10 USC 49-14 and handled NC State easily last week 35-14 and have cover six in-a-row. After three straight losses the Deacons come alive and defeating Louisville 42-32 last week. Wake Forest exploded on offense against Louisville posting 625 yards in total offense led by quarterback John Wolford throwing for five TD's last week. Wake Forest has enough to keep this close especially with the Irish looking at Miami-FL next week. Take DEMON DEACONS! 

Penn State at Michigan State 12:00 ET

Spartans (+) over Nittany Lions- I refer to this contest as the 'bubble-burst' game for Penn State. The Nittany Lions look like they were headed to the CFP Final-4 as they led Ohio State from the opening kickoff to well, almost the finish. Not only were the Lions outscored 19-3 in the final quarter but they were out-gained by the Buckeyes by nearly 300 yards for the game as they were handed their first defeat of the season surrendering 529 yards on defense. Teams that are unbeaten after six or more wins and then lose are just 3-15 ATS the next time out since 1980. After last season's 45-12 loss the Spartans seek revenge. Take MICHIGAN STATE!

Wisconsin at Indiana 12:00 ET

Hoosiers (+) over Badgers- No. 9 Wisconsin is 8-0 and have not played any ranked competition and can run the table as they do not have a ranked team the rest of the way. Indiana is 0-5 both straight-up and ATS in Big Ten action and have lost the last nine meetings with the Badgers by an average of 36.8 points. Indiana will be without freshman quarterback Peyton Ramsey who will be replaced by former starter senior Richard Lagow who many feel has NFL potential. In a mild surprise ATS take INDIANA! 

Florida at Missouri 12:00 ET

Gators (+) over Tigers- Both these schools have had their fair share of turmoil this season as Missouri started 1-5 while Florida has lost three quarterbacks and one head coach. Former Miami Hurricanes head coach Randy Shannon will take over as head coach for the Gators on an interim basis. The Tigers who are 0-4 in SEC play are off wins over powerhouses Idaho and Connecticut with their only other win against Missouri State. Graduate transfer Malik Zaire will get the start at quarterback for the Gators and lead them to victory. Take FLORIDA!

Georgia Tech at Clemson 8:00 ET

Tigers (-) over Yellow Jackets- I can't help it! I know 'we' played against Georgia Tech last week and paid the price but this is more about Clemson then the Yellow Jackets. This will be a clash of strengths as the Engineers average almost six yards a rush and the Tigers only allow 2.90 per attempt. I like the idea that Clemson has had time to heal after its loss to Syracuse after losing quarterback Kelly Bryant to injury early in the first half. Trend wise the home team is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings. Coach Dabo Swinney says that Kelly Bryant is getting better everyday but, it won't matter. The Tigers will win this one on defense. Take CLEMSON!

Texas Christian at Iowa State 3:30 ET

Cyclones (+) over Horned Frogs- To start with I find it hard to believe TCU is ranked No. 4 in the nation as I 'know' they will not be around for consideration for the Final Four. Granted the Horned frogs are ranked ninth both offensively (41.6 pts) and defensively (14.9) but have been playing relatively weak opponents while Iowa State has defeated Oklahoma along with Texas Tech. The Frogs have crushed the Cyclones the last four meetings by an average of 32.3 points and now the line is less then a touchdown. I expect a close contest with Iowa State proving they can play. Take IOWA STATE! 

Georgia vs Florida 3:30 ET

Gators (+) over Bulldogs- Man, even I don't trust myself with this one. I mean we all know the score Georgia are 7-0 and headed for a showdown with Alabama for the Final-Four berth but have to deal with what has been a major thorn in their side for years no matter how strong or weak Florida may be or appear to be. The Gators have won 21 of the last 27 meetings and have been talking trash all week. Florida is just so one dimensional it is difficult to play them with much confidence, except that they have run for 200 yards in each of their past two games and they are able to stop their opponents on third down allowing just 29.9% conversions. Take FLORIDA!  

Michigan State at Northwestern 3:30 ET

Wildcats (+) over Spartans- No. 16 Michigan State (6-1, 4-0) has won four straight, is 4-0 in Big Ten action, 5-2 ATS and are in a three-way tie with Ohio State and Penn State at the top of the East. After the season they had last year (3-9) this is a big surprise for Big Ten 'experts' who again picked the Spartans to finish near the bottom. After an 0-2 start in conference play Northwestern has posted a pair of wins winning at Maryland and at home over Iowa. State has struggled on offense and were more then lucky to pull off their win at Indiana last week. The Wildcats will move the ball with all-time leading school rusher Justin Jackson and QB Clayton Thorson. Take NORTHWESTERN!

Penn State at Ohio State 3:30 ET

Buckeyes (-) over Nittany Lions- Okay, to me this is the game of the day and I find the nation's No. 2 ranked team almost a full underdog. Does that not seem a bit strange to you...it does to me! Last season the rolls were reversed as Ohio State entered their fray against the Lions undefeated and were upended. But, this time it is Penn State that is unbeaten and a heavy underdog Buckeyes. This 'line' seems extremely high as the Nittany Lions are No. 1 in scoring defense allowing just 9.6 points per game and yet The Buckeyes are almost a touchdown favorite. Then you realize Urban Meyer teams are 20-1 after a bye week and 5-0 against Top-25 opponents. Take OHIO STATE! 

Louisville at Wake Forest 12:20 ET

Demon Deacons (+) Cardinals- Louisville has had the best of this relatively new series winning all four meetings including last season when Wake jumped out to a 12-0 lead before the Cardinals took over winning the fourth quarter 34-0. On their only trip to Winston-Salem Louisville squeaked out a 20-19 victory. The Deacons have dropped their last three but are 4-3 on the season and have shown that they can play with the 'big boys' improving enough to keep Louisville in check who is a step or two behind last season's level. Take WAKE FOREST!

Oklahoma State at West Virginia 12:00 ET

Cowboys (-) over Mountaineers- The thing I think of first about this game is that 'my' lone winning Best Bet (1-2) last Saturday was Baylor (+9) against the Mountaineers as they surrendered 23 unanswered in the final quarter for my 36-38 back-door cover. Now, any team that can give up 23 points to Baylor will get 'pruned' by the Nation's #1 offense averaging 584.6 yards per contest. There are a number of positive thing I can say about the Mountaineers but the one thing that stands in my way is that they rarely win a 'Big' game. Add that the oddsmakers feel the same way as the point spread in more than a TD against a team that ranks 5th (W.VA) in total offense. Lay it! Take OKLAHOMA STATE!

Miami-FL at North Carolina 12:00 ET

Tar Heels (+) over Hurricanes- Okay I know this is silly with the Tar Heels missing 16 players that are out for the year and have lost seven straight to the points. But, here is Miami with double revenge lost last season 20-17 knowing they will have little trouble with North Carolina. But, maybe they are concerned with what is up next as the play Virginia Tech and Notre Dame. This one is just a matter of one dominate team sleep walking to a win. Take NORTH CAROLINA! 

West Virginia at Baylor 8:00 ET

Bears (+) over Mountaineers- The Baylor Bears have gone 12 straight regular season games dating back to their last six games in 2016 without a 'cover.' They did somehow manage to win and 'cover' the Idaho Bowl defeating Boise State 31-12 as a 6-6 representative. The Bears enter this game 0-6 and are the only winless Power Five conference team and are off a beating by Oklahoma State 59-16 and has even lost to UT San Antonio and Liberty. West Virginia rally for a huge comeback win over Texas Tech and find the lowly Bears between them and their next meeting against Ok. St. The Mountaineers are 3-2 in the series but just 1-4 ATS. This is a huge night in Waco. Take BAYLOR! 

U.S.C. at Notre Dame 8:00 ET

Trojans (+) over Fighting Irish- I must start by saying I watched all of USC vs. Utah last week and I must admit that I was not impressed with the Trojans. The Utes just shoved and ran the ball right down USC's throat and their was nothing the Trojans could do to stop it. I'm afraid with Notre Dame power game that USC will have trouble containing the Irish offense. But, still the Trojans will have the best running back in Ronald Jones in the game along with the best quarterback Sam Darnold who out classes Irish QB Brandon Wimbush by a wide margin. Beware of Trojans...Take SOUTHERN CAL!

Wake Forest at Georgia Tech 7:30 ET

Demon Deacons (+) over Yellow Jackets- after opening the season with four straight wins including an ACC victory over Boston College the Demon Deacons have dropped their last two against Florida State and Clemson falling to 1-2 in conference play. Georgia Tech lost for the second time last week to Miami-Fl 25-24 their 2nd 1-point loss the other is when the blew a 14-point 4th quarter lead to Tennessee. The Yellow Jackets are a perfect 5-0 ATS but have Clemson on deck. Now, as a favorite they don't make it. Take WAKE FOREST! 

L.S.U. at Mississippi 7:15 ET

Rebels (+) over Tigers- Having used LSU as my SEC Game of the Month winner last week (+7) 27-23 OUTRIGHT over Auburn the pressure is off the Tigers and they will get caught basking in their glory this week. Mississippi had lost three straight before pounding Vanderbilt 57-35 last week. The Rebels lead the SEC in passing by a wide margin but have surrendered 27 points per game and are 3-3 and 1-2 in SEC play. Most of the 'experts' had the Tigers dead after their losses to Mississippi State 37-7 and Troy 24-21 but the have responded with wins at Florida and over Auburn. With Alabama up next this game is a 'Tiger Trap.' Take MISSISSIPPI! 

Indiana at Michigan State 3:30 ET

Hoosiers (+) over Spartans- The Spartans are a 'sneaky' 5-1 and are undefeated 3-0 in Big-Ten action while their opponent this week Indiana is winless (0-3) in conference play. Michigan State whose only loss came against Notre Dame returns home after two road wins against Michigan and Minnesota to play Indiana who they have defeated four straight time as hosts. The Hoosiers two-headed quarterback system has experienced senior Richard Lagow who led Indiana to a win over State last season (their first win vs MSU in seven years) and freshman Peyton Ramsey who is set to start. Take INDIANA! 

Syracuse at Miami-FL 3:30 ET

Hurricanes (-) over Orange- Now, wait a second, what's going on here? After Syracuse (4-3) posted their upset win over No. 2 Clemson 27-24 and the Hurricanes (5-0) defeated Georgia Tech 25-24 for their second straight last-play-of-the-game victory I was expecting a competitive match-up. But, Las Vegas doesn't think so...this game opened Miami a 13.5-point favorite and I have seen it get to 17 and higher. The seems a bit unusual to me. This is strictly an 'Insiders' play, as people behind the scenes have 'moved' this number. Go with those in the KNOW! Take MIAMI-FL! 

Colorado State at New Mexico 10:15 ET

Lobos (+) over Rams- Colorado State has certainly has the best of it of late as far as this series is concerned winning the last seven going 5-1-1 ATS and now lead the overall series 39-25. The Rams amassed over 600 yards on offense in their 44-42 win over Nevada while New Mexico was getting pummeled at Fresno State 38-0. State on a 9-1 ATS last-10 MWC games but the Lobos are 4-0 ATS after a straight-up loss and the home team is 6-2-1 ATS in the last nine meetings. Fourth road contest in five games for the Rams and Lobos will take advantage. Take NEW MEXICO!

Memphis at Houston 8:00 ET

Cougars (-) over Tigers- Memphis (5-1) blew the 'cover' but sunk the Navy 30-27 last week and now travel to Houston (4-2) for this pivotal AAC showdown as the No. 25 ranked team in the nation. The Tigers have defeated two ranked team this season and now are an underdog the a Cougars club that has lost much of its bite after losing head coach Herman to Texas. Major Applewhite returns to Houston with his club blowing a 10-point lead and losing to Tulsa 45-17 and says his club was 'humbled' after their loss. When we have here...is a ranked team an underdog against a team that lost big on the road. I'll take the Cougars to claw away a victory. Take HOUSTON! 

Michigan State at Minnesota 8:00 ET

Gophers (+) over Spartans- 'We' have had our way with the Spartans going against them two weeks ago with Notre Dame and with them last week against Iowa and now 'we' will complete the cycle with a Win here 'against' Michigan State. It is hard to believe that MSU won only three games last season and now they are off upset wins over Iowa and Michigan and are 4-1. Minnesota who opened the season 3-0 have dropped their last two both Big-Ten games to Maryland and Purdue. The Gophers have had issues at quarterback but will stay with Conor Rhoda who has thrown for almost 800 yards with five touchdown passes. In a tough one...take MINNESOTA!   

Texas A&M at Florida 7:00 ET

Gators (-) over Aggies- Texas A&M had their four-game winning streak stopped by Alabama 27-19 last week and they played their 'hearts' out as coach Kevin Sumlin stated. Florida was also disappointed Saturday as they dropped a home game to wobbling LSU 17-16 as the struggled using their 3rd string quarterback Feleipe Franks who has thrown only one interception this season. The Gators 'hang their hat' on their defense and they have only allowed three rushing touchdowns this year. I like the home team to take advantage of a letdown from the Aggies after a tough Alabama battle. Take FLORIDA!

Auburn at L.S.U. 3:30 ET

Tigers (+) over Tigers- HA! The Auburn Tigers (5-1) are 3-0 in SEC play with their lone loss coming as a visitor at the hands of defending National Champion Clemson 14-6. Louisiana State (4-2) has had two horrible losses to Mississippi State 37-7 and Troy 42-21 and rebounded with a 17-16 win at Florida last week. I know that Auburn looks too strong for LSU as their dominate running game has control the ball and opponents. State was off to a 2-2 last year when Coach Ed Orgeron was hired and went 6-2 the rest of the way. I expect LSU to improve as the season moves on and beating Auburn for the 7th straight time at home will silence the boo-birds. Take LOUISIANA STATE!  

Texas Christian at Kansas State 12:00 ET

Wildcats (+) over Horned Frogs- Texas Christian is 5-0 after slugging their way past West Virginia last week and is the only undefeated team left in the Big-12 with wins over a pair of ranked teams including Oklahoma State. Kansas State is off a 2-OT loss at Texas 40-34, but is 3-0 at home and took out TCU 30-6 last season. Bill Synder always has his teams ready when playing as an underdog against ranked teams. Horned Frogs were out-gained by 100 yards last week and this week they will pay. Take KANSAS STATE!

Texas Tech at West Virginia 12:00 ET

Red Raiders (+) over Mountaineers- Every year it is the sam old story with West Virginia, they beat up on the little guy early in the season and them fall on their face the first time legitimate competition show its face as they were handed losses by TCU and Virginia Tech by identical 31-24 scores. Texas Tech will enter Morgantown with a offense that will not only complete but surpass the Mountaineers. The Red Raiders are 5-0 ATS has a plus-14 turnover ratio. WV has been favored by 25, 62, 24 and were a 13-point dog last week. Playing tough opponents doesn't help their record. Take TEXAS TECH! 

Michigan at Indiana 12:00 ET

Hoosiers (+) over Wolverines- Well, it took a few weeks but the attrition finally caught up with Michigan as they fell to Michigan State 14-10 last Saturday. John Harbaugh's club still leads the nation in total defense allowing just 213 yards per game. Indiana is 3-2 on the season but has failed in both conference games and hasn't beaten Michigan in Bloomington in 30 years and has lost 21 straight to the Wolves. The Hoosiers under new leadership have improved defensively and have made a move surprising at quarterback replacing Richard Lagow with Peyton Ramsey who was 32-41 for 321 yards last week. Take INDIANA! 

Washington State at California 8:00 ET

Golden Bears (+) over Cougars- Two weeks ago in this spot 'we' had the Cougars as a Best Bet and they came through with a 21-17 outright win over USC and last week 'we' got 'smart' and played against them in Oregon where they dominated the Ducks 33-10. Washington State opened the season with five straight home wins and then delivered a huge win in their first road encounter holding the Ducks to 40 points below their season average while Luke Falk has 10 TD passes and only two INT's. But the Cougars defense has taken a hit this week losing a pair of linebackers in Issac Dotson and Nate DeRider. Take the points...CALIFORNIA!

San Diego State at U.N.L.V. 10:45 ET

Rebels (+) over Aztecs- One thing is for sure their will some talent on the field when the last of Saturday's college games kick-off as two of the nation's top running backs go head-to-head in Las Vegas. Rasheed Penny will lead the undefeated Aztecs (5-0) who have wins over Arizona State and Stanford to with Penny's 165 yards rushing per game while UNLV will counter with Lexington Thomas who is 4th in the country at 143 yards per. But, the big surprise for those that remember the Rebels lost at home to Howard as a 44-point favorite is that they will have the 'best player' on the field in quarterback Armani Rogers who will be the quickest runner they have faced this season. Good spot for Las Vegas. Take U.N.L.V.!

Stanford at Utah 10:15 ET

Cardinal (-) over Utes- When I first took a look at this matchup and saw the 'number' with Stanford being such a strong favorite I instinctively looked at Utah and though I was getting a bonus. Well, upon further review I took a closer look at Utah and saw this undefeated (4-0) club is also 4-0 ATS but truly does not have a quality win defeating the like of North Dakota State, San Jose State, Arizona and and extremely weak BYU. Stanford has dropped a pair of games already (USC & SD ST) and they have found their focus behind the Nation's leading rusher Bryce Love who ran for 301 last week against ASU and has 1,088 yards on the season. The Utes have won both meetings since joining the PAC-12 but will be shocked at home Saturday night. Take STANFORD!

Arizona at Colorado 8:00 ET

Wildcats (+) over Buffaloes- Both these squads come off losses with the Colorado having dropped their last two. Each one of these clubs are looking for their first PAC-12 win with the defending South Champs 0-2. The Buffs crushed Arizona 49-24 in Tucson last year and hold a 14-5 series edge but had lost four straight to the Wildcats before that victory. Arizona is averaging 41.2 points per game and rank 8th nationally rushing with 296 yards a game. That should be enough...Take ARIZONA!

Washington State at Oregon 8:00 ET

Ducks over Cougars- Washington State has opened the season with five straight wins including their upset win over USC 30-27 which closed out a 5-game homestand. The Cougars Senior quarterback Luke Falk will lead a one-dimensional offense (1,718 passing yards) that has scored 41 points per game and has yet to see the road. Oregon has a habit of putting up points as well having scored 248 points in five games but will be without starting quarterback Justin Herbert who broke his collarbone. Playing their first road game of the season at game six is not good for the visitor. Washington State has one the last two meetings but it's time for the Ducks to fly here. Take OREGON! 

L.S.U. At Florida 3:30 ET

Tigers (+) over Gators- In days past I might have used the Tigers in a Game of the Year spot but some of the numbers are so over-whelming against them it is difficult to make them my top play. The idea that Louisiana State is now acceptable when you see who the defeated and their performance against quality teams the last twp weeks losing to Mississippi State 37-7 as a touchdown favorite and then falling to unheralded Troy 27-24 as a three touchdown favorite. Tigers coach Ed Orgeron has committed to quarterback Danny Etling and has stated he would play the entire game which he hasn't done yet this season. Luke Del Rio is out for the season and the Gators Feleipe Franks gets the nod. LSU is starting a fifth-year senior and Florida a red-shirt freshman. I'll side with experience. The distraction of Homecoming will not help the Gators! Take LOUISIANA STATE! 

Miami-FL at Florida State 3:30 ET

Seminoles (+) over Hurricanes- I love when these two teams meet but this season the match-up was pushed back because of Irma but the rivalry is as intense as ever. Florida State (1-2) who has won seven straight in this series but has major issues coming into this pivotal battle as they have lost their quarterback for the year and haven't been able as of yet to pick-up the pieces. The Hurricanes blow into Tallahassee a perfect 3-0 having won eight straight games dating back to last season and their average margin of victory has been 21 points. The Seminoles must rely on their defense to rise as that have yet to show any consistency on offense scoring just three touchdowns on 12 trips inside the Red Zone. Still, State's entire season is on the line here. Take FLORIDA STATE!

Boise State at B.Y.U. 10:15 ET

Cougars (+) over Broncos- Neither of these clubs are meetings their normal standard as Boise State has lost two games in September for the just the third time in 16 years. BYU is off to a horrid 1-4 start and have not looked good at all with their only win against Portland State. But, there are plenty of problems for the Broncos who are just 3-12-1 ATS in their last 16 encounters and just 1-5 ATS in their last six meetings with BYU. The Cougars are no prize of late going 1-5 ATS in their last six but come up big here. Take BRIGHAM YOUNG! 

Colorado at UCLA 10:30 ET

Bruins (-) over Buffaloes- Okay, it's time to let the Bruins off the hook. 'We' have played against UCLA three times with season and we are 3-0 ATS and this week I've decided to give them a break and make the call 'on' them. Both clubs were crushed in their PAC-12 openers last week but the Bruins have a much brighter future then do the Buffaloes mainly because the have the most productive passing offense in the nation averaging 452 yards per game (just a note Army has 36 passing yards in 4 games with zero in two of them). Colorado will present a defense for a while but eventually break down Take UCLA!

Oklahoma State at Texas Tech 8:00 ET

Red Raiders (+) over Cowboys- There will be football filling the air Saturday when these two high scoring offense take the field. Talk of being one of the Final-4 was stopped in Stillwater after Oklahoma State beating at the hands of TCU as Heisman candidate Mason Rudolph turned the ball over three times although passing for 398 yards. Texas Tech (3-0) is undefeated and is 6-0-1 ATS the past seven years in their Big-12 opener and is averaging 45-points per game. The winning team has scored 45 points or more in eight of the last 10 meetings and with QB Nic Shimonek passing for 416 yards per game give the Red Raiders a fighting chance. Take TEXAS TECH! 

South Carolina at Texas A&M 7:30 ET

Aggies (-) over Gamecocks- South Carolina opened the season on the road with two impressive wins as underdogs over N.C. State 35-28 and Missouri 31-13. Then they returned home as favorites and lost outright to Kentucky 23-13 and won a non-cover over Louisiana Teach 17-16. The Aggies have bounced back after blowing a 35-point lead against UCLS have won three straight scoring 95 points in their last two games games and scored 44 in their loss to the Bruins. Too much offense for the Gamecocks...Take TEXAS A&M  

Iowa at Michigan State 4:00 ET

Spartans (-) over over Hawkeyes- This was the first game 'I spied' upon getting the opening lines for this week and it is really a great spot for a number of reason. Starting with the fact that 'we' were 2-0 with Iowa (+) over Penn State and the Irish 'against' Michigan State last week and that the Hawks were out-gained by 300 yards and the Spartans out-gained the Irish by 150 yards. I am expecting the Hawkeyes to be flat this time out after losing on the final pay of the game against the Lions while the Spartans were making mistakes and now I expect a huge rebound here out of them. Take MICHIGAN STATE!

Florida State at Wake Forest 3:30 ET

Demon Deacons (+) over Seminoles- Okay, I did everything I could to avoid this game but there is just no way around it. Granted most of us upon hearing the records of these two opponents 4-0 and 0-2 would naturally think that Florida State was 4-0 and Wake Forest was 0-2 but...nope. The Seminoles have no fire-power without their quarterback Francois and are playing freshman at QB and a first year player at running back while the Demon Deacons are going with a senior that has learned how to win. Take WAKE FOREST! 

Georgia at Tennessee 3:30 ET

Volunteers (+) over Bulldogs- Georgia (Heavy Hitter) was part of our 'Big Game' Sweep Saturday and now with the pressure off they remain a favorite in tough SEC territory. The Volunteers slept-walked through their contest against Massachusetts (17-14) last week with the thought of today's encounter in their heads. Rocky-Top will be 'rockin' Saturday and Tennessee will be ready for the Bulldogs running game will be balance it out with John Kelly who leads the SEC in rushing. Take TENNESSEE! 

USC at Washington State 10:35 ET

Cougars (+) over Trojans- This will be State's fifth straight home game to open the season scoring at least 31 points in every game as they are 1-0 in PAC-12 action with a win over Oregon State. The Trojans are 2-0 in conference play with wins over Stanford and California and are 5-1 ATS in their last six visits to Pullman and 19-3-1 overall. But, coach Mike Leach is 9-1 ATS with Washington State as an underdog against undefeated foes. The Cougars average over 44 points per game led by 4th year quarterback Luke Falk who is completing 77% of his passes with 14 touchdowns and only one interception. Take WASHINGTON STATE!

Texas at Iowa State 8:00 ET

Longhorns (-) over Cyclones- Texas has garnered plenty of attention this season starting with a 'new' head coach in Tom Herman, their opening game loss as an 18-point favorite to Maryland where they surrendered 51 points to their double-overtime 27-24 loss to USC. Iowa State could be 3-0 if not for a 4th quarter and overtime collapse against Iowa as they blew two 14-point leads. The Cyclones wins have come against Northern Iowa and Akron but are just 5-16 in Big-12 openers. The Longhorns lead the all-time series 12-2, are 5-1 in Ames and 16-5 all-time in Big-12 openers. Take TEXAS!

U.C.L.A. at Stanford 10:30 ET

Cardinal (-) over Bruins- I saw it happen! Look, Saturday I posted Memphis over UCLA as my NCAA Game of the Month, the Bruins had a lead and then heard that they were on the 'wrong' end of my release and were just so crushed emotionally they rolled over and have not been able to recover psychologically as of yet. Stanford who at 1-2 has not a chance of getting down to the Final Four took their medicine when 'we' posted USC as a Megabucks winner against them two weeks ago and now they get rewarded as my 'Late Bail-Out' Best Bet winner. Take STANFORD!

Notre Dame at Michigan State 8:00 ET

Fighting Irish (-) over Spartans- So, here is Michigan State playing their third straight home game to open the season off wins and 'covers' against Bowling Green and Western Michigan not two 'Big Ten' conference quality opponents. Notre Dame enters this fray 2-1 playing three FCS opponents losing to Georgia 20-19 but defeating Temple and Boston College. With the Irish having played only one quality opponent and losing I was surprised to see them the favorites in East Lansing. State's defense has been noteworthy but their offense and competition come to question. Take NOTRE DAME! 

Penn State at Iowa 7:30 ET

Hawkeyes (+) over Nittany Lions- There are number of factors that play into this selection as they big, bad Lions (3-0) come roaring into Kinnick Stadium after throttling their first three opponents by a combined score of 141-14. Last season at home Penn State won easily 41-14 as a 7-point favorite and now they are bumped to almost twice that number and that is a tough price to beat. Iowa is a club that plays well at home as a conference home dog (9-2 ATS) as well as a when looking for revenge (7-1 ATS). Sure, the Lions have the flash in McSorley and Barkley but the Hawkeyes counter with Nathan Stanley (10-TDs, 1-Int) who manages the game without mistakes. Take IOWA! 

Mississippi State at Georgia 7:00 ET

Bulldogs (-) over Bulldogs- Happy to say 'we' used Mississippi St (+7) 37-7 as a 'Heavy Hitter' OUTRIGHT winner over LSU but, do I expect another high level energy and flawless performance...No I do not. Although State has outscored it's opponents 143-28 teams that 'upset' LSU are a poor 18-30 ATS (Thanks ML) next time out. Georgia 'hurt' 'us' a couple weeks back by taking Notre Dame down as a outright dog winner and here they stand as a shrinking favorite. This is the home teams' SEC opener and they are bring a ground game that Miss. St. has not seen the likes of. Take GEORGIA!

San Diego State at Air Force 7:00 ET

Flacons (+) over Aztecs- San Diego State has surprise a few this season by not this guy where was on them twice against Arizona State and Stanford both outright wins. The Aztecs have the nation's leading rusher in Rashaad Penny who already has three Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Week awards. Penny averages 196 yards rushing per game as he enter the conference opener in Colorado Springs where Air Force is 18-2 straight-up in their last 20 contests which including 5-0 ATS as underdogs. Bad spot for Aztecs who upset Stanford on a TD pass with less then a minute to play. Time runs out on them Saturday. Take AIR FORCE! 

Central Florida at Maryland 3:00 ET

Knights (+) over Terrapins- Maryland has opened the season 2-0 scoring over 50-points in both wins while averaging 315 yards rushing with wins over Texas and Towson. Central Florida has had a three week break due to weather and scored 61 points points themselves in their opener against Florida International who had 17. The Knights will be looking to atone for their sloppy 30-24 loss last season in Orlando will extra time between contests gives us a trend favoring the Knights 12-4-1 ATS in Game 2 off a win and rest. Add that Maryland is just 5-10 ATS as a non-conference home favorite. Take CENTRAL FLORIDA!  

Utah at Arizona 10:30 ET

Wildcats (+) over Utes- Arizona has run up the score in two routs over powder-puff opposition beating Northern Arizona 62-24 and UTEP 63-16 and falling to Houston 19-16 in between. The Utes 3-0 have had their way against North Dakota 37-16, San Jose 54-16 and a weak BYU club 19-13. Utah is led by dual threat quarterback Tyler Huntley who is 80-of-111 and is the team's leading rusher. The Wildcats will look to run the ball sitting 6th Nationally averaging 328 rushing yards a game. With Utah breaking a 4-game losing streak in the series at home last season well tonight the Wildcats 'right-the-ship.' Take ARIZONA!

Clemson at Louisville 8:00 ET

Cardinals (+) over Tigers- Wow, what a great match-up with the Heisman winner up against the defending National Champs. Clemson enters Pope John's Cardinal Stadium with 10 consecutive games on opponents fields and are 3-0 lifetime over Louisville including a 42-36 win at home last season. In that game Cardinals quarterback Lamar Jackson accounted four 457 yards and four touchdowns. In two games against Purdue and North Carolina the Heisman winner is averaging 505 yards per game 385 of which is passing. Look for the home team to gain some revenge for last season's loss at Clemson. Take LOUISVILLE!

Kansas State at Vanderbilt 7:30 ET

Commodores (+) over Wildcats- Kansas State has scored 55 points in each of their first two contests as they destroyed power-puffs Central Arkansas 55-19 and Charlotte 55-7. Vanderbilt who has also posted two wins over weaker competition defeated Mid-Tenn State 28-6 and Alabama A&M 42-0 showing vast improvement on defense. This in only the 2nd meetings between these two with Vandy posting a 26-14 win in 1984. We will all recognized the improvement the Commodores have made when this game goes final. Take VANDERBILT! 

L.S.U. At Mississippi State 7:00 ET

Bulldogs (+) over Tigers- Difficult to gauge these two clubs after their performances against weak non-conference competition where they both crushed their opponents. But, there are some signals that can give us insight into tonight's match-up. There are a few things to note about LSU as the Tigers committed 21 penalties in their first two games and have struggled with their kicking game (field goals) once again. The Bulldogs fell to the Tigers 23-20 in Baton Rouge and believe it was some home-town cooking that caused their defeat. This time out they get the win. Take MISSISSIPPI STATE!

Oregon at Wyoming 7:00 ET

Cowboys (+) over Ducks- After losing eight of their final 10 games last season Oregon has opened 2-0 under new coach Willie Taggart as they did last season and are averaging 59.5 points in wins over Southern Utah 77-21 and Nebraska 42-35 (led 42-14 at half). Wyoming opened the season with big hype as quarterback Josh Allen was being talked about as a Heisman candidate but a 24-3 loss at Iowa silenced that gibberish. So the Cowboys bounced back with a 27-0 win over Gardner Webb which is not too impressive while the Ducks took the 2nd half off against the Cornhuskers and should be well rested. But, Wyoming is 8-1 in last nine at home and is 2-4 at home against Power 5 since 2000. Take WYOMING!

Tennessee at Florida 3:30 ET

Gators (+) over Volunteers- Okay, I understand that Florida did not score an offensive touchdown against Michigan in their opener but they were without their top two offensive players in wide receiver Antonio Callaway and running back Jordan Scarlett who will return Saturday. The Gators had their second game against Northern Colorado cancelled and have been waiting for a chance to atone for their weak performance against the Wolverines. The Vols are 2-0 and off a 42-7 win over Indiana State and that doesn't necessarily help as coach Butch Jones is 4-13-1 ATS after a win of 14 points or more. Take FLORIDA! 

U.C.L.A at Memphis 12:00 ET

Tigers (+) over Bruins- We have seen the Bruins move the ball through the air coming from behind against Texas A&M and routing Hawaii 57-23 while passing for 820 yards in two games. The problem for UCLA is that they have surrendered 332 yards rushing per game. That is not good for Jim Mora's squad as Memphis had two 100-yard rushers in the first-half of their opener ran for over 300 yards. With this game starting at noon Eastern time it is essentially a 9AM start for the West Coasters. Take MEMPHIS! 

Utah at B.Y.U. 10:15 ET

Cougars (+) over Utes- BYU maybe 1-1 and on the season but they haven't played well in either contest a 20-6 win over Portland State or their beating 27-0 against LSU. Utah who has won six straight and 11 of the last 15 games in the series won last year 20-19 by stopping a two-point conversion attempt. The Cougars have offensive issues as quarterback Tanner Mangum (28-51-296) can't do it alone. Utah started slow against South Dakota State winning 37-16 dominating the 2nd half. This game is for states 'Bragging Rights' and both sides with be ready but the urgency will be behind the Cougars. Take BRIGHAM YOUNG!   

Stanford at Southern Cal 8:30 ET

Trojans (-) over Cardinals- Man, after all the hype I had to endure for weeks about how good Southern Cal was all I have heard this week is how they are not the team many thought they were, this after one game. Stanford has had the best of it in this series the past decade winning the last three and seven of the past nine as they return from Australia off a 62-7 win over Rice. USC was tie in the 4th quarter against upstart Western Michigan before pulling away late winning 49-31. Although the Cardinal are 11-3 ATS in the last 14 meetings the Trojans have won 10 straight against FBS competition. Underrated USC gets it done here...Take the TROJANS! 

Georgia at Notre Dame 7:30 ET

Fighting Irish (-) over Bulldogs- Georgia's true freshman quarterback Jake Fromm became the storyline when he enter the game in mid-first quarter to lead the Bulldogs to a 31-10 victory over Appalachian State. The Irish meanwhile were running over Temple 49-16 behind three 100-yard rushers. Quarterback Fromm will find that playing on the road and against the Notre Dame defense will be much different than beating the Mountaineers at home. Tough spot for any QB much less a first road game for a freshman. Take NOTRE DAME!   

South Carolina at Missouri 7:00 ET

Tigers (+) over Gamecocks- South Carolina took the opening kick-off 97 yards for a touchdown and were never headed last week taking down N.C. State 35-28 while Missouri ran past Missouri State 72-43 setting offensive school records. Granted the Tigers opposition was from another 'division' in college football and they even surrendered 43 points as a 36-point favorite. I look for Missouri's offense to continue scoring and their defense to sure up against the run where the Gamecocks are weak. South Carolina gained just 245 offensive yards in last weeks win over the Wolfpack and only 31 yards rushing. Take MISSOURI! 

Auburn at Clemson 7:00 ET

Tigers (+) over Tigers- Okay let get this out of the way...Tigers win! There are so many things that I like about this game where I first saw the match-up. We will see some contrast here as Clemson enters the contest racking up 665 offensive yards in their 56-3 win against Kent while Auburn pounded Georgia Southern 41-7 holding the Eagles to 78 total yards. AU will be going with former Baylor QB Jarrett Stidham behind center and his experience and talent will overcome Death Valley. Take AUBURN!

Ohio at Purdue 8:00 ET

Bobcats (+) over Boilermakers- Purdue is definitely on the upswing as they gave #10 Louisville a battle to the end in their 35-28 loss as a 25-point underdog. But they have had such a long way to go having won just nine of their last 50 contests. Ohio beat up on hapless Hampton 59-0 and usually after a cupcake like that a club falters when the play gets tougher. These two haven't met since 1988 a 33-10 Purdue win but this Bobcats team is 6-1 ATS in road openers and 6-1 ATS against Big Ten. Boilermakers are just 1-3 ATS at hone against the MAC. It just adds up...Take OHIO!

Tennessee vs Georgia Tech 8:00 ET

Yellow Jackets (+) over Volunteers- Tennessee who has their best season (9-4) since 2006 will be hard pressed to replace their offensive firepower, especially in quarterback Joshua Dobbs who has moved on the play in the NFL. Georgia Tech like the Volunteers will have a new quarterback and there are four possibilities that coach Paul Johnson says that will play. Johnson is famous for running the best 'Triple-option' offense in the country and dismissed last years leading rusher for the team in August. Still, he is 13-2 straight-up in season openers and will christen the brand-new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Georgia Tech closed last season with four wins and is 5-1 in their last six games against the SEC. Take GEORGIA TECH! 

Texas A&M at UCLA 7:30 ET

Aggies (+) over Bruins- These two schools opened the season against each other last season as the Aggies took UCLA down in overtime. Both clubs closed the season weakly as Texas A&M lost four of their final five games and the Bruins dropped six of their final seven. The Aggies lost quarterback Trevor Knight to the NFL while UCLA as we are all aware is returning outspoken Josh Rosen who was limited to six games last season because of injuries. The running game will be the difference here as A&M returns two powerful running backs in Trayveon Williams and Christian Kirk. Take TEXAS A&M!

Vanderbilt at Mid Tennessee State 8:00 ET

Blue Raiders (+) over Commodores- There is no question Vanderbilt has improved under coach Derek Mason but they still couldn't post a winning record last season despite beating Tennessee, Georgia and Mississippi. The Commodores have beeb slow starters for a number of seasons last winning their opener against Elon in 2011 and last time defeating a FBC team in 2008 against Miami-Ohio. Vandy pasted Mid Tennessee State last season at home 47-24 and come up a meager 3-point favorite on the road here. Look for the Blue Raiders to gain a measure of revenge at home. Take MID TENNESSEE STATE!

Appalachian State at Georgia 6:15 ET

Mountaineers (+) over Bulldogs- Georgia is expected to pound the ball with running backs Nick Chubb and Sony Michel both returning and skipping the NFL draft. Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart is in his second year at the helm and looks to improve on their 8-5 (4-4) record from his first season. Appalachian State has won 21 games the past two seasons and almost took down Tennessee in their opener last season losing 20-13 in overtime. The Mountaineers finished 17th in total defense last season and will be ready for the Bulldogs ground game. They won their bowl game the past two seasons and have the return of veteran quarterback Taylor Lamb and runnings back Jalin Moore who ran for 1,402 yards last season with 10 touchdowns. Take the MOUNTAINEERS!

Michigan vs. Florida 3:30 ET

Gators over Wolverines- A great match-up to start the season between two storied programs in Arlington Stadium. Michigan who lost 11 players to the NFL draft is ranked 9th while Florida who has back-to back SEC East Division titles will be without 10 players suspended for selling books. Hey we all understand most of the Platers at Florida may not be able to read anyway but the sure know how to play football. The Wolverines who are 16-3-1 in 20 regular season games against the SEC are 3-0 lifetime against the Gators including a 41-7 win in the Citrus Bowl the year before last. Something will have to give here as Michigan has won 28 straight openers and Florida hasn't lost a season opener since 1989 winning 27 in-a-row. This time the gators keep it close and possibly upset the Wolves outright. Take FLORIDA!

Boston College at Northern Illinois 9:30 ET

Huskies (+) over Eagles- Boston College head coach Steve Addazio is starting his fifth season at the helm of the Eagles and has built a defense that has held opponents to 18 points or less in 16 of their last 22 contests. The problem for the Eagles is that they just don't more the ball all that well as his offense has thrown for just 144, 111 and 129 yards per game in the past three seasons. The last time these two met BC owned the ball 37:51 minutes to 22:09 for the Huskies and managed just a 17-14 win. This time they don't make it. Take NORTHERN ILLINOIS!

Clemson vs Alabama 8:00 ET

Crimson Tide (-) over Tigers- In a re-match of last season's National Championship game Alabama remains undefeated (14-0) and has won a school record 26 straight wins. Clemson who has only one blemish (13-1) a 43-42 loss to Pittsburgh. This is a tough call as the 'number' is close to what it was last year when the Tide eeked out a 45-40 win as the Tigers scored late for the 'back-door' cover. Clemson who is 8-1 ATS in their last nine neutral site games are also 6-0 ATS in their last six bowl games. Alabama on the other hand had a better ATS record going 10-4 for the money which is pretty damn good when you consider what heavy favorites they were all season long. The Tigers played their best and near perfect game against Ohio State in their 31-0 route of the Buckeyes and will go against an Alabama team that will have a 'new' offensive cooordinator Steve Sarkisian who will replace Lane Kiffin who left under strange circumstances. In last season's matchup the Tigers put up 550 yards on offense including 405 yards passing, I'm sure that won't happen again. Take ALABAMA! 

Auburn vs Oklahoma 8:30 ET

Tigers (+) over Sooners- Oklahoma enters this contest winners of their last nine after starting the season 1-2 with brutal losses to Houston and Ohio State. The Sooners were undefeated (9-0) in the Big-12 while Auburn struggled through a tough SEC schedules going 5-3. Oklahoma averages almost 45 points per game but they will be shocked at the way the Tigers will come at them defensively. Auburn surrendered just 15.6 points per game and they will come up with an answer to Heisman finalist Baker Mayfield and dominate the play. Take AUBURN!

Southern California vs Penn State 5:00 ET

Nittany Lions (+) over Trojans- I love this game and wish that I could be in attendance as these two Big Ten Penn State and Pac-12 USC make a perfect Rose Bowl contest. After shaky starts for both clubs USC starts 1-3 with a 52-6 loss to Alabama and have reeled off nine straight wins going 6-0 ATS the last six. Penn State was at 2-2 with losses to Pittsburgh and Michigan and then won out the last nine going 8-0 ATS last eight. The Lions had just 77 and 51 rushing yards in their last two wins against Michigan State and Wisconsin, but what they do have is a winner at quarterback Trace McSorley who can match USC's San Darnold. It what I expect to be a great game take the points with the Lions. It's PENN STATE!   

Western Michigan vs Wisconsin 1:00 ET

Broncos (+) over Badgers- Let me start by saying that if I didn't have my Bowl Game of the Year winner in the Auburn/Oklahoma game this would be a Best Bet release, so play it accordingly. This match-up reminds me of the famous Oklahoma and Boise State game where the Sooners like the Badgers were 8-point favorites to a team that few respected, therefore they had more to play for and that wins games. Wisconsin is a bit disappointed after their blowing a huge advantage in the Big Ten Championship game against Penn State. Broncos gallop! Take WESTERN MICHIGAN! 

Ohio State vs Clemson 7:00 ET

Buckeyes (-) over Tigers- This is the second trip for both schools to the College Football Playoff with the Buckeyes winning it all two years ago and the Tigers losing to Alabama in the championship game last year. J.T. Barrett missed his chance to play in this game two years ago but a leg injury ended his season and this year his stats having been what people had hoped but the Ohio State ground game pounds out 285 yards a game. Clemson's Deshaun Watson hasn't had the sparkle of last season either throwing 19 interceptions as the Tiger run game was just so-so. Better defense and coaching give the Buckeyes the edge. Take OHIO STATE!

Washington vs Alabama 3:00 ET

One of these over the other- Is this the team that can give the Crimson Tide a challenge? Lets look at common opponents as they have both played USC with Alabama crushing the Trojans hopes and then it was USC that dampened Washington out-look which they managed to survive by defeating over-rated Colorado. I'm not concerned that this game is virtually in Bama's back yard as Atlanta will be filled with Crimson. The Huskies have a quarterback Jake Browning who know how to protect the ball throwing for 42 touchdowns and 3,280 yards. He will be tested by a Tide defense that has 14-non-offensive touchdowns. Take WASHINGTON!
