Maryland at Ohio State 12:00 ET

Buckeyes (-) over Terrapins- Maryland is 5-0 and all of the Buckeyes opponents this season were undefeated until they played The Ohio State University. The buckeyes scored an emotional victory over Notre Dame last time out and have had two weeks to prepare for (Tau II) Taulia Tagovalioa who already has thrown for 9,343 yards. OSU is 4-0 at home against The Terps winning by an average score of 62.5-18.3 and have scored at least 62 points in the last three home meetings. Take OHIO STATE!

Rutgers at Wisconsin 12:00 ET

Badgers (-) over Scarlet Knights- Rutgers has come a lone way since entering the Big Ten under coach Greg Schiano and they are 4-1 this season. The Scarlet Knights had their way against Wagner last week pounding the poor undermanned club 52-3. The Knights know what it is like to be on the other end of a rout as Wisconsin is 4-0 versus Rutgers and won the last meetings 52-3. Corn fed badgers too big and powerful for the upstarts form New Jersey. Take WISCONSIN! 

Oklahoma vs Texas 12:00 ET

Sooners (+) over Longhorns- There was a time this Red River Rivalry was the biggest experience in college football but educators have mad a mess of that. Both clubs are undefeated and 5-0 and this should have national implications as Texas has already beaten Alabama and Oklahoma is looking to atone for last year’s 49-0 thrashing. Sooners QB Dillon Gabriel was down with an injury last season and he is something the Longhorns will have trouble with. Take OKLAHOMA! 1

Kansas State at Oklahoma State 7:30 ET

Cowboys (+) over Wildcats- From what I have seen to date the best thing I can think of to say about Oklahoma State is that teams get better with good coaching and the Cowboys have well respected Mike Gundy at the helm and he is an amazing 14-3 SU when the Cowboys are exactly .500 including 9-0 ATS against teams with winning records. OSU has won seven of eight home meetings since 2003. Take OKLAHOMA STATE!

Alabama at Mississippi State 9:00 ET

Bulldogs (+) over Crimson Tide- Alabama (3-1, 1-0) isn't among the top contenders for a national championship due to its 34-24 home loss to then-No. 11 Texas on Sept. 9. The No. 12 Crimson Tide will take another swing at finding their past standard when they visit Mississippi State in a Southeastern Conference battle on Saturday night at Starkville, Miss. Mississippi State (2-2, 0-2)  have lost back-to-back games but have quarterback Will Rogers at the helm and he passed for a career-high 487 yards in last week's 37-30 road loss to South Carolina. It was his ninth career 400-yard outing. Rogers has completed 70 percent of his passes over four seasons for 11,668 yards and 88 touchdowns. The yardage is the third-highest total in SEC history. The Bulldogs have enough to stay with the Tide. Take MISSISSIPPI STATE!  

Notre Dame at Duke 7:30 ET

Blue Devils over Fighting Irish- ESPN's College GameDay comes to town with No. 17 Duke hosting No. 11 Notre Dame. Duke (4-0) has never been part of the longtime pregame college football show as a host or opponent. The task at hand for the Blue Devils is beating Notre Dame (4-1), a team motivated to get back in the win column after suffering its first loss of the season. Notre Dame had only 10 men on the field for the final two plays from scrimmage, the second of which saw the Buckeyes score the go-ahead touchdown on a run up the gut. Notre Dame boasts the nation's 18th-best scoring offense, putting up 39.6 points per game and a defense, allowing just 12.8 points per game, which ranks 15th in FBS. Duke is 28th in offense and fourth in defense, allowing just 8.8 points per game. Take DUKE!

LSU at Mississippi 6:00 ET

Rebels (+) over Tigers- LSU has bounced back from a season-opening loss to Florida State with three straight victories, including back-to-back conference wins in the last two weekends. The Tigers (3-1, 2-0) and the Rebels (3-1, 0-1) have both shown short-coming as the Ole Miss offense has had issues and LSU on defense. The Rebels were 7-0 and ranked No. 7 in the country last season when LSU beat them 45-20 in Baton Rouge, La. and look to atone for that performance. Take MISSISSIPPI!

Kansas at Texas 3:30 ET

Longhorns (-) over Jayhawks- Saturday's match-up will be the first time these two programs have ever played each other while both are ranked. No. 3 Texas and No. 24 Kansas will look to continue torrid starts to the season when they square off in Austin, Texas. Both teams are 4-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play. The Jayhawks used a 22-yard fumble return from Cobee Bryant to race to an early lead and then added a 30-yard pick-six by Kenny Logan Jr. they won’t be so fortunate this week. The Longhorns are 17-4 against Kansas all-time and 9-1 when the teams play in Austin. Texas defeated Kansas in Lawrence last season, 55-14 and the Jayhawks' 2021 win in Austin is their only victory as a visitor. Take TEXAS!

Georgia at Auburn 3:30 ET

Tigers (+) over Bulldogs-  No. 1 Georgia will set out to extend its winning streak to 22 games Saturday and the Bulldogs have won five straight regular-season games over the Tigers.  Georgia (4-0, 1-0 SEC) went 6-for-6 inside the 20 in a convincing 49-21 win over UAB on Saturday. The Bulldogs had 582 yards of total offense despite three turnovers. Auburn (3-1, 1-0 SEC) enters its match-up with the Bulldogs with serious question marks on offense after failing to find the end zone against Texas A&M. Auburn is banged up in the secondary but somehow will pull it together against the Bulldogs. Take AUBURN!

Utah at Oregon State 9:00 ET

Beavers (-) over Utes- Utah's defense has been terrific this season, they are tied for ninth nationally in total defense (263.8 yards per game), ranks sixth in scoring defense (9.5 points per game) and is third in rushing defense (51 yards per game. But if the Utes (4-0, 1-0 Pac-12) want remain unbeaten they must increase its offensive production against No. 19 Oregon State (3-1, 0-1) in a Friday night Pac-12 clash at Corvallis, Ore. The Beavers have won six straight home games and 13 of their past 14 in Corvallis. Take OREGON STATE!

Louisville at N.C. State 7:00 ET

Wolfpack (+) over Cardinals- Louisville (4-0, 2-0 ACC) is off to its best start in conference play in seven years. Their offense has been humming along at a pretty good clip so far this season, while North Carolina State is still attempting to hit its stride. NC State (3-1, 1-0) might need to get its offense cranked up if it intends to keep up with the Cardinals. The arrival of quarterback Brennan Armstrong to the Wolfpack was supposed to be accompanied by a dynamic offense that failed against hos former Virginia mates last week. The Wolfpack will be playing on a Friday night for the second week in a row after and this will be NC State's first night home game of the season. This will be a Wolfpack night! Take NC STATE!

Ohio State at Notre Dame 8:00 ET

Buckeyes (-) over Fighting Irish- Notre Dame signal-caller Sam Hartman will make his 50th career start on Saturday when the No. 9 Fighting Irish host No. 6 Ohio State. Hartman has thrown for 13 touchdowns with no interceptions and has Notre Dame (4-0) rolling, opening the season with four straight 40-point games for the first time since 1900. The Irish have never scored 40-plus in each of their first five games and will up against a real defense this week. Ohio State (3-0) struggled to find consistency on offense but their defense is prepped for Hartman. Ohio State leads the series 5-2 with five consecutive wins since 1995. Take OHIO STATE!

Colorado at Oregon 3:30 ET

Ducks (-) over Buffaloes- The atmosphere will be tense when No. 19 Colorado faces No. 10 Oregon in Eugene on Saturday. The Buffaloes went 1-11 last season as the dregs of the Pac-12.  Colorado is averaging 41.3 points, it allows 30.3 and the defensive unit could have issues corralling the Ducks. Oregon ranks second in scoring offense at 58 points per game and is coming off a 55-10 trouncing of visiting Hawaii. The Ducks are also stout defensively, allowing 15.7 points and 158.7 passing yards per game. The latter ranks 15th nationally. The Ducks have won nine of the past 10 meetings. Bo Nix and his experience give the Ducks the edge. Take OREGON!

BYU at Kansas 3:30 ET

Jayhawks (-) over Cougars- Kansas went 12 straight seasons without winning more than three games until it finished last season at 6-7.  As a four-touchdown favorite last week, the Jayhawks went to Reno and nearly lost to Nevada outright. Kansas put up 441 total yards to Nevada's 258 but barely led in time of possession and fumbled. BYU, a nine-point underdog, ventured into SEC country last week to face Arkansas. It was Will Ferrin's 43-yard field goal and two touchdown passes from Kedon Slovis gave BYU a 38-31 win. This time they won’t be so lucky. Take KANSAS!  

Maryland at Michigan State 3:30 ET

Spartans(+) over Terripens- The ugliness going on behind the scenes at Michigan State spilled onto the football field last weekend. The Spartans will try to bounce back from that woeful on-field performance when they open their Big Ten season against undefeated Maryland at East Lansing, Mich. Michigan State served notice on Monday to suspended head coach Mel Tucker that it intends to fire him for cause. Accusations of sexual harassment by Tucker surfaced the previous week. The Spartans (2-1) were pummeled at home 41-7 by No. 8 Washington last Saturday. Their defense was shredded for 713 total yards, including 536 passing. The Terrapins (3-0) have outscored their three non-conference opponents 118-40 this season. Maryland quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa has been picked off twice this season but also has completed 66.7 percent of his throws, including five touchdowns. He threw for 342 yards and a touchdown in a 42-14 victory over Virginia last week. Tagovailoa passed for 314 yards and a touchdown in Maryland's 27-13 victory over the Spartans last season. But, after last weeks loss to Washington the Spartans come to play. Take MICHIGAN STATE!

Mississippi at Alabama 3:30 ET

Crimson Tide (-) over Rebels- The No. 13 Crimson Tide (2-1) benched Jalen Milroe for last week's game at South Florida, but his replacement Notre Dame transfer Tyler Buchner didn't last a half and was replaced by second-year player Ty Simpson. That tandem combined for 107 passing yards in a 17-3 victory over the Bulls. On Monday, the dial spun back to Milroe. He accounted for five touchdowns in the season-opening win against Middle Tennessee. But he threw two interceptions in a home loss against Texas a week later and was benched. The Rebels (3-0) didn't rush the ball up to head coach Lane Kiffin's standard the first two games, totaling just 232 yards. But in a 48-23 home victory against Georgia Tech last week, they finished 299 rushing yards. Alabama has won the last seven meetings, including a 30-24 road victory last season. The do it again. Take ALABAMA!

Florida State at Clemson 12:00 ET

Tigers (+) over Seminoles- After all the offseason headlines about being one of the top upcoming teams in the country, the Seminoles (3-0, 1-0 ACC) can validate the hype when they visit the Clemson Tigers (2-1, 0-1). The Tigers have won four straight home match-ups with FSU at Memorial Stadium and own seven consecutive victories in the series although Florida State leads the all-time series against Clemson 20-15. Tigers Quarterback Cade Klubnik accounted for four touchdowns, and the defense scored in Saturday's 48-14 home win over Florida Atlantic. Across three outings, Klubnik has completed 71 of 107 passes for 693 yards and eight TDs, with two interceptions. Take CLEMSON!

Power Play

TCU at Houston 8:00 ET

Cougars (+) over Horned Frogs- The Horned Frogs and Cougars haven't played each other since 2007, so it will be the renewal of what was a regular rivalry in the 1980s, ‘90s and a majority of the 2000s. It will also be the first conference game for Houston as a member of the Big 12, so the game will be the start of what should be an annual rivalry between in-state conference foes. Following a loss to Colorado in the season opener, TCU responded with a lopsided 41-6 win over Nicholls last week. As is the case with a lot of teams, the Cougars are still trying to find cohesion after welcoming in a healthy amount of transfers during the off season, most notably starting quarterback Donovan Smith. A transfer from Texas Tech, Smith is second on the team in rushing at 88 yards through the first two games, and is 46 of 76 passing for 493 yards and four touchdowns. Houston enters with a foul taste in its mouth after losing at city rival Rice, 43-41 in two overtimes. Take HOUSTON!

Syracuse at Purdue 7:00 ET

Boilermakers (+) over Orange- Syracuse has been impressive through the first two weeks of the season, but things get dicey with the challenge that they will see when they travel to take on Purdue in West Lafayette, Ind. The Orange (2-0) trounced Colgate 65-0 on Sept. 2 and whipped Western Michigan 48-7 last Saturday. They are third nationally in scoring offense, trailing only Oregon and USC, and their defense has been stout, as well. No team has yielded fewer points per game than Syracuse (3.5), which has recorded a defensive touchdown in each of its first two games. Syracuse won last season's meeting with Purdue, 32-29, as the teams combined for 42 fourth-quarter points. The Boilermakers outlasted Virginia Tech and there was a weather related delay of nearly 5 1/2 hours in last weekend's 24-17 road triumph. What is particularly noteworthy is that Purdue (1-1) is one of only nine FBS teams that has yet to commit a turnover this season. Take PURDUE

Vanderbilt at UNLV 7:00 ET

Rebels (+) over Commodores- Vanderbilt will aim to bounce back from a disappointing loss when it visits UNLV on Saturday. The Commodores (2-1) fell 36-20 to host Wake Forest last week, due in part to three turnovers they also allowed Wake Forest to rush for 288 yards on 48 carries. The Rebels will host a Southeastern Conference team in the regular season for the first time. They fell 35-7 at No. 2 Michigan on Saturday as UNLV quarterback Doug Brumfield was 10 of 19 for 100 yards passing, while backup Jayden Maiava went 5 of 7 for 68 yards. UNLV, which was playing without injured starting left guard Alani Makihele, had no turnovers vs. the Wolverines. Rebels have enough to win his one on the field. Take UNLV!

 Navy at Memphis 7:30

Midshipman (+) over Tigers- Navy’s opening defeat to Notre Dame in Dublin saw them get torn to shreds both on the ground and through the air. Running back Audric Estime gained 95 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries for the Irish, but he also caught two passes for 26 yards. The Navy defensive coordinator last season Brian Newberry is now their head coach. The Tigers are off a win against the softest team on their schedule and will find the Middies a tougher competitor. Take NAVY!

Auburn at California 10:30 ET

Golden Bears (+) over Tigers- Auburn an SEC power for years opened the season with a 59-14 win over a non-competitive UMass team that was out of their league. With a load of transfers the Tigers ran for 289 yards and six touchdowns. Like Auburn, Cal had a lot of success running the ball in its season-opening win over North Texas. The Bears' ground attack finished with 357 yards and six touchdowns. Dynamic runner Jaydn Ott averaged 9.4 yards per carry and finished with 188 yards and two scores. Isaiah Ifanse tallied 54 yards and three TDs. Ben Finley replaced an injured Sam Jackson and completed 24 of 34 passes for 289 yards and a touchdown. Cal has enough...take CALIFORNIA

Oregon at Texas Tech 7:00 ET

Red Raiders (+) over Ducks- Two years ago I was spewing about the incompetence of Auburn quarterback Bo Nix who transferred to Oregon last season. Well, the move has done him good and he has matured into a Heisman front runner leading the Ducks to an 81-7 romp over Portland State going 23-of-27 for 287 yards. Texas Tech was a beaten favorite (-14) as Vegas Hotline winner Wyoming won outright 35-33. The Red Raiders opened a 17-0 first quarter lead and then tried to rest on their laurels. Returning home the will be ready for the Ducks who are flying high but will be shocked by the Raiders intensity. Take TEXAS TECH!

SMU at Oklahoma 6:30 ET

Mustangs (+) over Sooners-  We have seen this before! Oklahoma starts the season by annihilating an undermanned opponent and this year is no different as the routed Arkansas State 73-0. SMU started fast building a 31-0 halftime lead defeating Louisiana Tech 38-14. The Mustangs put up 465 yards on offense and held Tech to 38rds rushing. They can keep it close with their balanced offense. Take SMU!

Utah at Baylor 12:000 ET

Bears (+) over Utes- Utah had their way in their opener hosting Florida dominating the Gators in a 24-11 win while holding them to 13 yards rushing in 21 attempts. Baylor (-26) was ambushed by Texas State 42-31 outright while out-gaining the Bobcats by over 100 yards. The Bears passed for 416 yards but three turnover did them in. Quarterback question for the Bears but they will claw their way to an ATS of not outright win here. Take BAYLOR!  

Notre Dame at N.C. State 12:00 ET

Wolfpack (+) over Fighting Irish- Okay, after playing two of the weakest team in college football Notre Dame appears to be ready to challenge the field for a finals berth. Hey, not so fast, this will be the first real football that they will play and the adjustment might be more difficult than they conceive. NC State slept walked through 416their opening 24-14 win at Connecticut in a non-cover victory. The Wolfpack have been laying-in-wait for the Irish to show up in Raleigh and have had 10 days and two game films to study. Take NORTH CAROLINA STATE!

Nebraska at Colorado 12:00 ET

Cornhuskers (+) over Buffaloes- If you have not seen the highlights of Colorado’s upset victory over TCU them you have missed an awesome display of raw speed, quickness, great instinct and football awareness. The Buffaloes’ behind QB Shedeur Sanders set a school record of 510 yards passing and four touchdowns completely 37-of-48 attempts. The Buffs did surrender 262 yards rushing and this week they will face a club that in know for running the ball and they gained 181 yards on the ground against Minnesota in their 13-10 loss. Colorado will spend the week a ‘Mile High’ off their 21-point upset win. Take NEBRASKA!

Illinois at Kansas 7:30 ET

Fighting Illini (+) over Jayhawks- Kansas is 1-0 and off to a winning start by routing undermanned Missouri State 48-17 Friday night while the Illinois needed late heroics to defeat Toledo 30-28. Jayhawks QB Jalon Daniels was replace because of injury by Jason Bean who went 22-of-28 for two TD’s and 276 yards. These two meet for the first time since 1968 and the first time in Lawrence since 1892. Jayhawks still just 3-8 in their last 11 overall and being favored here is a bit of a stretch. Take ILLINOIS!

Clemson at Duke 8:00 ET

Blue Devils (+) over Tigers- I’m not so sure this isn’t a hate bet against the Tigers as they have been so disappointing ATS in the past (at least when it seems I had them). Clemson went 11-3 last season and once again dominated the ACC having one of the easiest schedules in the nation. Duke under first year coach Mike Elco won nine of 13 decisions their highest win total since 2014. The Blue Devils return 98% of their offensive production while Clemson lost four player to the NFL draft. Devils deep enough and talented enough to bring this one sown to the final gun (do they still do that...Nah). Take DUKE!

Louisiana State vs Florida State 7:30 ET
Seminoles (+) over Tigers- These two met in last season’s opener and we had the Best Bet winner with Florida State (+3.5) who won outright 24-23. Both clubs had successful season which ended with Bowl victories as LSU crushed an under-manned Purdue team while the Seminoles outlasted Oklahoma 35-32 as a double-digit favorite. Each club has a defensive All-Americans and both offenses feature dynamic quarterbacks that can both can throw and run. FSU has the most returning starters of any D-1 school and it will be the difference. Take FLORIDA STATE!  

Texas Tech at Wyoming 7:30 ET

Cowboys (+) over Red Raiders- Texas tech finished strong last season defeating Mississippi 42-25 in the Texas Bowl winning their last four games. Wyoming coach Craig Bohl is well-versed in Red Raiders history. He was defensive coordinator at both Rice and Nebraska before carving out success at North Dakota State and Wyoming. The Red Raiders led FBS by going on fourth down 52 times last season with a 63.5 percent success rate. Wyoming will counter with a running attack designed to play keep-away from the Red Raiders. Opening game on the road the Red Raiders may not be perfectly in sync. Take WYOMING!

South Alabama at Tulane 8:00 ET

Jaguars (+) over Green Wave- Tulane is coming off their best season in over 100 years capped by a huge win over USC in the Cotton Bowl finishing the year 12-2. The Green Wave have been hit hard by players moving on and must replace their top running back who rushed for 1,581 yards and 19 TDs. The Jaguars finished 10-3 in 2022 and have 20 returning starters and tied at 7-1 for the USA West title. They were manhandled in the New Orleans Bowl 44-23 by Western Kentucky and return to the Super Dome with better results this time. Take SOUTH ALABAMA!

Nebraska at Minnesota 8:00 ET

Golden Gophers (-) over Cornhuskers- Ole Matt is back! Matt Rhule that is, back coaching college football after a failed tenure with Carolina in the NFL. Rhule is taking over a 4-9 Nebraska team that lost five games by one score last season. Minnesota went 9-4 last season and won five of their final six games including a huge 44-27 win in the Pinstripe Bowl over Syracuse. The Cornhuskers will take time to improve as they have a total of 63 first time players and the Gophers just added important pieces to complete a balanced roster. Take MINNESOTA!

North Carolina State at Connecticut 7:30 ET

Huskies (+) over Wolfpack- NC State went to the NIL transfer portal and recruited Virginia QB Brandon Armstrong who spent five years playing for the Cavaliers. The Wolfpack finished 8-5 last season while UConn was 6-7 their most wins since 2015. NC State pounded the Huskies 41-10 last September and these dogs want revenge. The barking dogs will start former Maine QB Joseph Fagnano who threw for 46 TD’ with just 12 interceptions. Take CONNECTICUT!

TCU vs Georgia 7:30 ET

Bulldogs (-) over Horned Frogs- It has been a beautiful ride for 200-to-1 Horned Frogs but they will seem like toads after the way Georgia tough tenacious bulldog defense closes them down. Yeah, that defense that has allowed 71 points their last two games and yet they still rank fifth nationally in scoring defense at 14.6 PPG. TCU is tied for fourth nationally scoring 41.1 PPG but may be without their leading rusher Kendre Miller (1,399 yard rushing and 17 TDS. He will be missed and the Bulldogs defense will hone in on QB Max Duggan who wasn’t even the opening day starter. Yeah, this Sonny Dykes is a genie. Duggan had 41 touchdown passes before this his senior season and Dykes had him benched before the season started. TCU is 5-11 ATS in last 16 games at neutral sites while Dogs are 8-3 ATS in last 11 bowl games and 15-7 on neutral sites. Okay, enough of all that. The line is ridiculously high and there is a reason for that...take GEORGIA!

Penn State vs Utah 5:00 ET

Nittany Lions (+) over Utes- So far, when I hear people speak of this game they feel Utah will destroy Penn State and the first thing I think of is, that gee the line is under a field goal how much better can they be. The Utes were the favorites to be the Pac-12 team to break into the CFP and did what we here expected be over-rated and win out in the end but still be short of their season goal. The Utes won six of their final seven games capping with a crushing pounding of USC. Unheralded Penn State finished 10-2 and their losses came at the hands of two CFP participants Michigan and Ohio State and I don’t think the Utes are of that stature. The Lions have not had a large number of transfers leaving (probably because these guys actually go to school and graduate). here we go with the Pac12 non-conference where Utah is 4-10 ATS while the Nittany Lions are 13-6-1 ATS in non-conference games. Take PENN STATE!

Purdue vs Louisiana State 1:00 ET

Tigers (-) over Boilermakers- In a times where ridiculous lines have become commonplace this one turns my head as the odds makers are giving the Boilermakers no respect. The feelings must be so hurt that maybe the lack of respect will lessen their self confidence...man, this is way out of whack. Or is it! Under further review we find Purdue in shambles. Not only has their head coach left with members of his staff and they are left with just 38 scholarship players after the transfer portal was busy including their All-American QB Adian O’Connell and his record setting receivers along with All Big Ten linebackers. Tigers 20-8 ATS after a loss and 52 ATS in their last seven bowls. Lay it...take LSU!

Tulane vs USC 1:00 ET

Green Wave (+) over Trojans- Usually when teams like this meet in a major bowl like the Cotton Bowl and once is a conference champion and one is not I would most likely side against the conference winner. But, this battle sets up differently. Granted both teams are 11-2 and deserve to be here but the disappointment USC feels after beating by Utah had many players despondent and have opted out of this to them meaningless exhibition. Not only will Heisman winner Celeb Williams sit out (finger injury) but so are a pair of offensive line starters and their Biletnikoff Trophy winning receiver is getting ready for the draft I always thought the best way to get read is to play and show your wares). The Green Wave have talent and will be excited to play in the school’s first Cotton Bowl appearance and they are 15-3 ATS in their last 18 games being under-valued while USC is 0-5 ATS in their last five bowl games and 1-11 ATS in their last 12 games at neutral sites. Take TULANE!

Mississippi State vs Illinois 12:00 ET

Illini over Bulldogs- Looks like a pretty even match to me with both teams 8-4 on the season ranked at No. 22 for Mississippi State and No. 21 Illinois. The situation with the passing of State’s coach Mike Leech puts it all in a different prospective. Most feel that the Gipper is showing up and that the Bulldogs with heavy hearts pull off a miracle victory...Nah, not here, Illinois coach Bret Bielema has the nation’s No. 1 scoring defense allowing just 12.3 PPG. Three members of his staff have left for greener pastures as Bret signed a $6 million a year through 2028. So, they lost coaches but Mississippi has lost 10 players to the transfer portal and I think they will come up short here. The Illini haven’t won a Bowl game since 2011 in the Hungry Bowl and they are hungry now! Take ILLINOIS!

Ohio State vs Georgia 8:00 ET

Buckeyes (+) over Bulldogs- I so love this side so much it scares me because I have never considered the other side and usually you look for pros and cons to support your position but don’t care here. Ohio State last played against Michigan and they had a second half that was an anomaly and outscored the Buckeyes 28-3 although the Buckeyes had more total yards and seven more first downs. There is no doubt in my mind that Georgia is the best ream I have seen this season but they don’t win ever game by 50 points. Both clubs have stellar defenses as with the Bulldogs who are ranked No. 2 nationally in scoring defense allowing just 12.8 ppg while Ohio State is No. 13 allowing 19.2 ppg. Bulldogs are 3-8 ATS following an ATS win. Take OHIO STATE!

TCU vs Michigan 4;00 ET

Wolverines (-) over Horned Frogs- My first thoughts were that Michigan who dominated Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship game and opened such strong favorites would just run rough shod over the Horned Frogs. The number has come down and so have I on the Wolverines. Remembering that any team rarely looks as good one game to another and things just don’t always fall into place. so, here TCU losers of the Big 12 Championship game to Kansas State is in the CFP and not many expect much of them here. Frogs looking to prove they belong and have a chip-on-their-should after backing into the CFP. Take TEXAS CHRISTIAN!

Iowa vs Kentucky 12:00 ET

Hawkeyes over Wildcats- Last Bowl season these two met in the Citrus bowl a game that Iowa dominated and Kentucky won 21-17. Both clubs have been challenged offensively this season and both with be down to their third string backup quarterbacks as injuries and transfer abound. The Wildcats will also be without their top running back and although the Hawkeyes will be without their starting QB he was so ineffective any replacement even a 3rd stringer could be much worse looking for revenge the Hawkeyes defense could rule the day but their offense is that bad. Take KENTUCKY!

Alabama vs Kansas State 12:00 ET

Wildcats (+) over Crimson Tide- The question here is just how motivated are the Crimson Tide going to be after all their goal is the CFP and they are even playing on New Year’s Day. Nick Saban is aware as he keeps insisting this game is important to them. Alabama’s QB Bryce Young the 2021 Heisman winner will play but the Tide have lost 15 players to the transfer portal including five offensive lineman. While Alabama was the preseason No. 1 Kansas State was even ranked in the Top-25 but managed to hand undefeated TCU their lone loss in the Big-12 title game. Bama just 1-5 ATS against teams with winning records while the Wildcats are 4-1 ATS against winning teams and are 5-1 ATS at neutral sites. Take KANSAS STATE!

Tennessee vs Clemson 8:00 ET

Tigers (-) over Volunteers- Both of these clubs will be without their starting quarterbacks and for one side the impact will be too much to overcome and for the other it is a blessing. Clemson’s Dabo Swinney insisted that DJ Uiagaleli be the tigers quarterback and it took almost two full season’s before he benched because of overall poor play and now he’s in the transfer portal. Tennessee is not as pleased that QB Hendon Hooker tore his ACL and will be replaced by Joe Milton III (yes that Joe Milton III) who’s talents are still unknown. The Tigers QB Cade Klubnik entered the ACC Championship game in the second quarter and went 20-24 for 279 yards. The Volunteers are 0-4 ATS at neutral sites while the Tigers are 20-6 ATS at neutral site and 11-3 ATS in their last 14 bowl games. Take CLEMSON!

Ohio vs Wyoming 4:30 ET

Bobcats over Cowboys- Ohio was 3-9 last season and had the biggest college football single season turn around this year going 9-4 this year. The turn around is due to QB Kurtis Rourke a fourth year starter but he will not be playing due to a torn meniscus. Wyoming who ended their season with a 30-0 loss at Fresno State and will be without their top rusher but have able runners to back up the run game. The Bobcats without their QB have a bigger gap to make up and the just don’t perform well out of conference where they are 1-9 ATS in their lat 10. Cowboys 6-1 ATS after a SU loss and are 4-0 ATS in their last four bowl games. Take WYOMING!  

Notre Dame vs South Carolina 3:30 ET

Gamecocks (+) over Fighting Irish- Man, this is a tough call with all the defections and transfers and such but there has got to be a winner and I believe we have one. We’ve heard in a million times in our life and that is what goes around comes around and nothing could be better for Notre Dame quarterback Tyler Buchner who started the season as the Fighting Irish starting QB but an injury sidelined him until Drew Payne was force to enter the transfer portal. Both of the Fighting Irish defensive and offensive captains have opted out including impact player and All-American tight end Michael Mayer which is a huge loss. Spencer Rattler the transfer form Oklahoma got hot the second half of the season and lead the Gamecocks who have no run game to speak of to a 7-2 close of the season with upset wins over Tennessee and Clemson. look for more of the same. Take SOUTH CAROLINA!

Pittsburgh vs UCLA 2:00 ET

Panthers (+) over Bruins- The quarterback position is up for grabs for both schools in this year’s Sun Bowl as UCLA’S Dorian Thompson-Robinson hasn’t decided if he’s going to play or not while former USC QB Kedon Slovis Pittsburgh’s starter for the season has once again entered the transfer portal and won’t be around. Nick Patti filled in for Kenny Pickett in last year’s Peach Bowl but broke his collarbone in the first quarter and will get the start here. The Panthers really don’t mind who is under center because of their three-headed running trio that average nearly 200 yard son the ground. As part of the Pac-12 it isn’t surprising that the Bruins are 2-7 ATS against winning teams and 7-19-1 ATS in their last 27 non-conference games. Take PITTSBURGH!

Texas vs Washington 9:00 ET

Longhorns (-) over Huskies- Okay here we go with that ‘don’t make sense’ shit. Washington is 10-2 SU and ranked No. 12  and has the No. 2 ranked offense averaging 521 yards behind Michael Penix Jr. who leads the nation in passing yards averaging 377 yards through the air and had 4, 354 yards on the season. Texas will be without their tow top running backs All-American Bijan Robinson and Roschon Johnson have both opted out. So, No. 20 Texas who lost four games by a total of 18 points and have their top backs out be favored. Once again I believe the odds maker is trying to tell us something and that is Texas is much better with or without their star players. Take TEXAS! 

Oklahoma vs Florida State 5:30 ET

Seminoles (-) over Sooners- They are B-A-C-K! Florida State after a two year bowl absence and will be playing in their back yard for the most part with this game in Orlando. The last time these two met in was in Miami at the Orange Bowl in 2000 as the Sooners closed out a National Championship. This time around as a huge underdog Oklahoma can finish below .500 as they ended up just 3-6 in Big-12 play. The spread on this contest is a bit on the strong side and that is a reflection on the Oklahoma having three of their starting offensive lineman opted out and are preparing for the NFL draft along with running back Eric Gray. The Seminoles are 10-3-1 ATS in their last 14 Bowl games and the Sooners are 1-6 ATS against teams with winning records.  Take FLORIDA STATE!  

Texas Tech vs Mississippi 9:00 ET

Red Raiders (+) over Rebels- These contest bring conflict to the table as Mississippi enters have lost their last three while Texas Tech has won their last three including our Big-12 Game of the Year 51-48 win over Oklahoma. The Red Raiders had a five game lull winning just once as QB Tyler Shough returned for their final three games. Ole Miss and Lane Kiffin attract plenty of attention as their no. 8 ranked offense averages 262 yards rushing ranking No. 3 on the ground. rebels closed the season with three straight losses to Alabama, Arkansas and Mississippi State. look for the trends to continue. Take TEXAS TECH!

Oregon at North Carolina 8:00 ET

Ducks (-) over North Carolina- As Al Pacino once said, ‘There is something really really wrong here’... I mean look at the Tar Heels averaging 474 YPG on offense and were averaging over 525 yards a game until their final three outings when they led the nation in offense at season’s mid-point. Carolina closed the season with three straight losses to Georgia Tech, NC State and Clemson gaining 150 yards in each game below their average. Oregon led by Bo Nix did sustain an offense that averaged 508 YPG ranked 4th nationally and scoring 39.7 PPG ranking ninth. Heels surrender 440 YPG and that is their down. Look for the Ducks who opened the season with a 49-3 loss to Georgia and closed their year with a loss at Oregon State to come out strong and will show no mercy. Take OREGON!

Kansas vs Arkansas 5:50 ET

Jayhawks (+) over Razorbacks- Opening the season with three straight wins and a 23-21 loss to Texas A&M so much more was expected from this Arkansas team that ranks 6th nationally in rushing yards per game at 225 and balanced passing attack that averages  230 YPG. defense has been a sore spot for both these clubs as the Razorbacks allow 453 YPG and the Jayhawks aren’t much better allowing 451 YPG. Kansas lost six of their final seven and is playing their first bowl game since 2008. The Jayhawks were 5-0 before TCU and managed just one win against Oklahoma State the rest of the year after QB Jalon Daniels was injured and returned for the final two games losses to Texas and Kansas State. Take KANSAS!

Central Florida vs Duke 2:00 ET

Knights (+) over Blue Devils- Under first year coach Mike Elko Duke has returned to Bowl action for the first time in four years. The Blue Devils improved from No.102 to 34th in scoring offense and from No. 127 to No. 36 in scoring defense. They No. 11 in take-aways and also rank 6th only turning the ball over 0.6 times a game. central Florida is on the move and this will be their last game playing for the American Athletic Conference a they enter the Big-12. This is their seventh straight bowl game and they have dominated the ACC offensively for years and average 236 yards on the ground this season and are seventh nationally. Take CENTRAL FLORIDA!

Wisconsin and Oklahoma State 10:15 ET

badgers (-) over Cowboys- These schools are veterans when it comes to Bowl appearances as the Badgers are making their 22 straight showing and for Oklahoma State it will be their 18th straight bowl game. After a 5-0 start the Cowboys lost five of their last seven games as QB Spencer Sanders when down with an injury and has opted out of this encounter. Wisconsin who fired their coach mid-season will also have inexperience at quarterback as three year starter Graham Mertz who entered the transfer portal and he will be replace with either a senior or freshman who combined have thrown 11 career passes. OK State will also be without their leading rusher and tackler while Badgers 1,000 yard running back Braelon Allen is looking forward to showcasing his talents. Take WISCONSIN!

Coastal Carolina vs East Carolina 6:45 ET

Pirates (-) over Chanticleers- Coastal Carolina has one of the more outstanding quarterbacks in the country in Grayson McCall who has entered the transfer portal but will still play in this game. McCall has thrown for 8,019 yards and 78 TD passes and only eight interceptions as a four-year starter. The Chanticleers can reach 10 wins for the third straight year while the Pirates have won a bowl game in nine years and have had back-to-back winning seasons for the first rime since 2013-14. East Carolina at 7-5 is favored over a 9-3 Coastal team and that seems a bit odd but, the Pirates have QB Holton Ahlers a five year starter who has thrown for 3,408 yards and 23 touchdowns with five  interceptions this season. Chanticleers are 2-8 ATS against winning team and are 13-5-1 ATS against winning team. Take EAST CAROLINA!

Wake Forest vs Missouri 6:30 ET

Tigers (+) over Demon Deacons- Wake Forest quarterback Sam Hartman is on the brink of setting numerous ACC records starting with his next touchdown pass. His task should be that much easier as three of Missouri’s standout defenders are deferring to the NFL draft and will not be in play. That being known the odds makers never blink and the price hasn’t changed even with other entering the transfer portal.  Missouri played a much tougher schedule and played some pretty good defense ranking No. 28 allowing only 337 ypg. Deacons just 4-10 ATS last-14 on grass and the Tigers are 5-1 ATS on grass. Take MISSOURI!

Air Force vs Baylor 7:30 ET

Bears (-) over Falcons- The moment I saw this match-up I knew I would have Air Force...not so fast my friend. Of course that was my keen jerk reaction and I stayed with it for a while. But, Baylor has dropped their final three games and after playing seven straight bowl opponents they will have played a much tougher schedule. Air Force leads the nation in rushing and total defense as well as time of possession but this isn’t New Mexico or UNLV it is a Big-12 power and they will wear down the Falcons. Take BAYLOR!

Western Kentucky vs South Alabama 9:00 ET

Jaguars (-) over Hilltoppers- Last season I saw the Hilltoppers in the Boca Bowl blow out Appalachian State 59-38 as Bailey Zappe threw six touchdown passes, zero interceptions and for and for 422 yards. Austin Reed has replaced Bailey and has thrown for 4,249 yards and 36 TD passes for 8-5 Western Kentucky and was named USA New Comer of the Year. This is year’s squad overall is not as good as last year’s version and they will be up against the No. 11 defense in yards allowed surrendering just 303.4 per game. Toppers are 1-4 ATS against the Sun Belt Conference and the Jaguars are 4-0 ATS in non-conference games as well as  8-3 ATS on field turf. Take SOUTH ALABAMA!

Liberty vs Toledo 7:30 ET

Flames (+) over Rockets- In recent season’s the Liberty Flames have come to national prominence and have won three straight Bowl games. But, the enter this fray having lost not only three straight but lost their head coach as well as Hugh Freeze who departed for Auburn. Toledo is led by quarterback Dequan Finn and have never lost (3-0) to the Flames. The problems for the Rockets is that a one-man gang doesn’t fare well against tough defenses. Liberty was wasted by New Mexico State 49-14 last time out allowing over 200 yards rushing and they are 13-3-1 ATS after allowing 200 or more rushing yards. Add that the Rockets are 1-5 ATS both against winning teams and on neutral sites. Take LIBERTY

Marshall vs Connecticut 2:30 ET

Thundering Herd (-) over Huskies- Who-ray for the Huskies who in the previous seven seasons have had five coaches and nothing close to a winning season. After Connecticut upset Liberty 36-33 to become bowl eligible under first year coach Jim Mora Jr. for the first time since 2015. In that game the Flames out-gained UConn by 165 yards as the Huskies were out-gained in 9-of-11 games. But they were so over-come with glee and emotion with the win that the team (in uniform) remained on the field for an hour after the game to celebrate with the fans. The next week they were pounded by Army and they will have trouble moving the ball against the Herd who are No. 9 on defense in yards allowed while the Huskies barely average 300 YPG. Take MARSHALL!

Rice vs Southern Mississippi 5:45 ET

Owls (+) over Golden Eagles- Rice enters this bowl contest with three straight losses and the worst record of any teams in bowl games with just five wins in 12 contests and they got here because of the schools academic record. But, these Owls can play averaging 25.3 PPG a full 2-points better than Southern Mississippi who last won a bowl game in 2016 and they are 11-15 in bowl games while Rice is 7-5. These two were conference foes for 17 years in the CUSA from 2005-2021 and were 6-6 head-to-head. The Eagles 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven bowl games.

Fresno State vs Washington 3:30 ET

Cougars (+) over Bulldogs- Fresno State started the season 1-4 and now they are favored to win their 10th game of the year over a Pac-12 club. The Cougars are playing in their seventh straight bowl game some started by Mike Leech and had won three in-a-row before nationally ranked rival Washington ended their regular season but they are 7-1 ATS after a SU loss. The Bulldogs are 0-2 against the Pac-12 this season losing Oregon State and USC and 2-7 ATS in their last nine bowl games. Take WASHINGTON STATE!

Florida vs Oregon State 2:15 ET

Beavers (-) over Gators- If this were a game of environmental significance I would of course take a gator to best a beaver. But, this Gator maybe toothless. Florida (6-6) has had roller coaster ride on the season with the end coming crashing down with losses at Vanderbilt and at rival Florida State and they were never in either contest. Oregon State enters the Vegas Bowl with six straight covers and that sort of has my attention but, the key here is what we are getting out of the Swamp. The Gators will be without starting quarterback Anthony Richardson who threw for 17 TD’s and ran for nine more had over 3,500 yards from scrimmage as well as three other stalwarts and that’s not the last of it. At QB with be John Miller a third-year transfer from Ohio State who gets the nod because back-up Jalen Kitna is in the clink on child pornography charges (Gee, that must make dad John shutter). The Beavers will chomping on the toothless Gators. Take OREGON STATE!

Army vs Navy 3:00 ET

Cadets (+) over Midshipmen- It has not been the best of seasons for these two service academies who both enter this fray below .500. Navy has been idol since Nov. 19 when the dominated and upset Central Florida 17-14. The Army is second in the nation averaging 306 YPG rushing while the Middles are No. 4 in rushing defense allowing just 85.8 YPG. The outright wins are so very important in this rivalry but the Knights are 5-0-1 ATS in the last six meetings. Take ARMY!

Clemson vs North Carolina 8:00 ET

Tar Heels over Tigers- How could they, how could they make this Clemson team more than a TD favorite here. Come-on, their quarterback is atrocious and is getting worse every week. Once thought to be a potential super star this guy should be sitting the bench. Now, how bad is their back-up at QB that Dabo doesn’t make a change. Letting this kid play is a firer-able offense (never Happen). North Carolina has been a major disappointment for the second straight year and they are so tempting because of and offense that averages close to 500 YPG. I guess the issue is that they allow about 450 YPG. But, this is the ACC Championship game and it is December when the Tigers are 15-2 ATS in their last 17 games and they are 20-7 ATS at neutral sites. Add that the favorite is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings. Tar Heels are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games at neutral sites. Take CLEMSON! 

Purdue vs Michigan 8:00 ET

Wolverines (-) over Boilermakers- Michigan was the most impressive of all contenders last Saturday just waylaying out the Buckeyes. The question here is can they keep their intensity for the Big Ten Championship game. Purdue has a future pro at quarterback with Adian O’Connell who has thrown for over 3,000 yards and has 22 TD’s but has been hampered by injuries this season. The Wolves have the second best defense in the country allowing just 262.3 YPG and just 83 yards rushing. Purdue did good the get here and it was mostly the schedule and defense ranking No. 34 allowing just 347 YPG. Wolves 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings. Take PURDUE!  

Central Florida at Tulane 4:00 ET

Knights (+) over Green Wave- Win or lose I’m pretty sure of one thing and that this will be an exciting game with a pair of clubs that score just a hair under 35-point per game. This is a rematch of a the regular season game at Tulane which Central Florida won 38-31 in a game where they had a 17-point lead late in the third quarter and the game wasn’t as close as the final might make you believe. The Knights ran for 336 yards and dominated time of possession 35-23. Tulane is 43-21-2 ATS at home but the dog in this series has won the last four. Take CENTRAL FLORIDA!  

Kansas State vs Texas Christian 12:00 ET

Wildcats (+) over Horned Frogs- This is sad for me because I believe that TCU is good enough to win the National title, I love their backs and defense. But, the odds-makers who I trust more than any wife (nah kidding) tells ‘us’ that the Horned Frogs will not make it. Now, I like Kansas State and other than last week I’ve been riding Martinez and the Wildcats and for good reason as they are 8-3 ATS this season. Number is too inviting for an undefeated team. Take KANSAS STATE!

Utah vs Southern California 8:00 ET Utes (+) over Trojans- Oh man the guys aren't giving Southern California too much room here to win and not cover. Utah has already defeated the Trojans at home in a non-cover 34-33 victory at home. Have you seen these two teams of late, USC is electric and QB Caleb Williams is now the Heisman favorite while Utah like the rest of the state is very vanilla. When comparing team stats the USC offense has a 50-yard per game advantage but Utah wins on the defensive side of the ball by almost a 100 yards. Quick note USC is 1-10 ATS in their last 11 at neutral sites and the underdog is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings. Take UTAH!

Washington at Washington State 10:30 ET

Cougars (+) over Huskies- What great season it has been for transfer QB Michael Penix Jr. for the Huskies leading the nation with 3,869 yards passing with a 5-game winning streak entering this fray. Washington State has won their last three and ended a 7-game skid to Washington last year. The Huskies are just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 road games and the Cougars are 5-0 ATS at home. I just have one reservation and that came when the State QB said that it’s just another game. It is not just another game and when I hear that I remember I have seen those types come up short. I hope not this time. Take WASHINGTON STATE!  

Kansas at Kansas State 8:00 ET

Jayhawks (+) over Wildcats-There in no question who the better team is, the question is have the down trodden Jayhawks improved enough and are healthy enough to sty with the Wildcats offense. But Adrian Martinez the Cats QB will be missing here. Kansas leads the series but has dropped the last 13 meetings not winning since 2008. Jayhawks are 10-3-1 ATS in their last 14 road games and should be able to move the ball enough to threaten the Wildcats. Take KANSAS!

Notre Dame at USC 7:30 ET

Fighting Irish (+) over Trojans- USC is electric and if got to see them last week against UCLA you have to be impressed with their speed, power and quarterbacking. Caleb Williams has the Heisman committee retooling their votes and for good reason. I never expected for Notre Dame to be where they are now after the start they had to the season but they have been a steady big game winner for us when we had them. USC has a defense that leads the nation in turnover differential with a plus-21 when the nearest competitor has +14. The Fighting Irish depend on their defense and allow just 316.8 YPG while the Trojans surrender 405 YPG. The difference keeps this one close. take NOTRE DAME!

Oklahoma at Texas Tech 7:30 ET

Red Raiders (+) over Sooners- We have had both these teams racked especially Oklahoma who was our Power Play winner Saturday over Oklahoma State. after jumping out to an early 28-0 lead the Sooners cruised to victory against the Cowboys how were playing with an injured quarterback. The Red Raiders have dropped 10 straight in this series and yet they are merely a 2-point underdog. looks inviting doesn’t it. But, the home team is 13-3 ATS in their last 16 meetings and Oklahoma is just 1-5 ATS against teams with winning records. Take TEXAS TECH!

LSU at Texas A&M 7:30 ET

Aggies (+) over Tigers- Talk about reversal of fortunes these two clubs have each done the exact opposite of what was expected of them this season. To start with with Brain Kelly coming into ‘cajun’ territory where there were defections before he arrived and he is battling for the SEC championship while Texas A&M...well. It started with Saban accusing the No. 6  Aggies of buying players and they were supposed to threaten Alabama and they have been a huge flop. Whoever the got they have over-paid for what we’ve seen on the field.  Last year we posted LSU (+6) as a Game of the Year and the WON Outright 27-24 and it’s only right we reverse the field and call the Aggies here. take TEXAS A&M!   

Oregon at Oregon State 3:30 ET

Beavers (+) over Ducks- Bo Nix has been everything to Oregon this season not only because of his contributions in winning nine games but he was a big part of their two losses as well. The Ducks need only to win here for a chance at the Pac-12 Championship with a win here and they are favored by a meager field goal.Nix did get banged up last week and hasn’t practiced because of a injured right foot received last week. Road team is 11-4-1 ATS in the last 16 meetings but the Beavers are 14-3 ATS in their last 17 games as hosts while the Ducks are just 2-5 ATS on the road against teams with winning records in last seven. Take OREGON STATE!

South Carolina at Clemson 12:00 ET

Tigers (-) over Gamecocks- Believe me when I say this is the rivalry for South Carolina and is the most important game on both their schedules. For the Gamecocks coming off their Vegas Hotline 63-38 win over Tennessee it will be a struggle to get mentally ready and maintain focus to face a legitimate contender for the title. Clemson has not passed the eye-test every often as they have not been impressive in their wins. This is a series that has been total domination of the Cocks by the Tigers. Clemson has won seven straight and is 72-42-4 in 118 meeting and 4-1 ATS in the last five meets. Don’t over-react to last week win by USC they won’t be close here. Lay-it! Take CLEMSON!  

Florida at Florida State 7:30 ET

Gators (+) over Seminoles- I have an affinity for both these clubs and follow them intently as I usually attend a number of their games yearly. What I saw this season was two clubs change forms and personality from previous versions. It has been a while since the Seminoles were a factor. and Florida since Meyer left is not of same level. In rivalry game like this I usually look toward the underdog for obvious reasons. FSU has eight wins their most since 2016 and after a 3-10 start third year coach Mike Norvill’s squad is 13-6. In their last four contests State has outscored Georgia Tech, Syracuse, Miami and Louisiana 173-39. But it is the defense between these two that will be the difference as State is ranked No 11 allowing just 293 YPG while the gators rank 100 allowing 413 YPG. add that the favorite is 16-5 ATS in the last 21 meetings. Take FLORIDA STATE!  

North Carolina State at North Carolina 3:30 ET

Wolfpack (+) over Tar Heels- Both of these clubs are off losses with The Tar Heels losing for just the second time and it probably eliminated one of the nation’s top offenses from reaching the College Football Playoff. NC State dropped their second straight to Louisville after falling to weakling Boston College the previous week. This is like east meets west as NC brings a potent offense 493 YPG and the Wolfpack provide a stout defense allowing just 323 YPG. The problem for NC State is the current condition of their starting QB how was injure last week and has left the duties possibly to a red shirt freshman. A start is born...Take N.C STATE!  

Arkansas at Missouri 3:30 ET

Tigers (+) over Razorbacks- Thank you Razorbacks for coming through as our Megabucks (13-4 76%) 42-27 OUTRIGHT winner over Mississippi last Saturday. Arkansas has six wins and that means that they are bowl bound no matter the outcome here. Missouri on the other hand need to win here to become bowl eligible and they will be ready here. The Tigers should have already qualified for the post season spot but blew a few chances where they should have won (see Auburn) and will get it done today. Arkansas has an exciting offense and won last year 34-17 breaking a 5-game losing streak in the series, but the home team is 9-1 ATS in the last 10 meetings. Take MISSOURI!

Baylor at Texas 12:00 ET

Longhorns (-) over Bears- It is hard to believe that the Longhorns have lost four games as the lines-man gives them so much respect. Once again they are heavy favorites over a Baylor team that just played TCU to a standstill. Texas managed just 38 yards rushing against the Horned Frogs the week before. Last week the Hook-em Horns attack destroyed Kansas 55-14 in Lawrence. Texas is 79-28-4 in this series and although the Bears have shown a more consistent offense gain over 500 yards against TCU they will have problems getting up for this one. Take TEXAS!  

Mississippi State at Mississippi 7:00 ET

Bulldogs (+) over Rebels- Both of these clubs from this impoverished state have fallen off the charts after promising starts. Mississippi started 7-0 and were ranked in the Top-10 but since have lost 3-of-4 while Mississippi State started 5-1 and were ranked No. 16 but have dropped 3-of-5. Both clubs look to salvage their season with a win over their arch rivals and Ole Miss fans wonder how much it means to carpetbagger Lane Kiffin who is rumored to be on his way to Auburn. Rebels are 2-6 ATS in their last eight home games and the underdog is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings and the road team is 6-1 ATS in  the last seven meets. Take the MISSISSIPPI STATE BULLDOGS!

U.A.B. at L.S.U. 9:00 ET

Blazers (+) over Tigers- Of all clubs in the SEC I am quite surprise that it could be LSU coming out of the SEC. They have clinched the championship meeting with Georgia on two weeks after going to A&M next week. I don’t know how focused teh Tigers will be knowing the title game awaits no matter how they preform the next two weeks. UAB allows just 338 YPG ranking No. 29 and needs to win out to become bowl eligible so I expect maximum effort here. Blazers are 8-3 ATS versus teams with winning records. Take UAB!

Oklahoma State at Oklahoma 8:00 ET

Sooners (-) over Cowboys- Oklahoma State had lost three straight before QB Spencer Sanders returned in the second half to lead the Cowboys to a 20-14 win over Iowa State despite gaining just 244 total yards on offense. Granted OK State is a much better team when he is available and he will be playing Saturday and so will the Sooners.That weak offensive performance came two weeks after they accumulated just 214 yards against Kansas State. Oklahoma has dropped back-to-back games to Baylor and West Virginia and at 5-5 needs this win to become bowl eligible. Sooners 5-1-1 ATS in the last seven meetings but are 0-5 ATS in their last five home games. This time they romp. OSU is ranked and OU is not and they last time that happened when they played the Sooners won 27-0. Sate won last year’s meeting 37-33 but they haven’t won back-to-back games in this series since 2001. Take OKLAHOMA! 3

Mississippi at Arkansas 7:30 ET

Razorbacks (+) over Rebels- The Razorbacks were our Early-Bird Game of the Month winner (+3.5) 10-13 over LSU this week as the Rebels were blowing a 10-point lead at home to Alabama. Ole Miss has to be heartbroken after out-gaining the Tide by over 100 yards. This has been a one-sided affair as the Hogs are 16-5 ATS in the last 21 meetings and the underdog is 10-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings. Backs are 8-0 ATS after scoring 20 points or less. Take ARKANSAS!  

Tennessee at South Carolina 7:00 ET

Gamecocks (+) over Volunteers- This is sick sort of like Maryland last week against Penn State you know in your heart that this doesn’t look good (meaning you stink). Tennessee is so good and is out to prove it every week with the nation’s No. 1 offense averaging 543 YPG and have scored over 50 points five times this season. South Carolina will try and counter this attack with Oklahoma transfer Spencer Rattler at QB with 8 TDS, 9 INTS and 1,982 yards passing. Gamecocks got crushed by Florida last week and look to atone as the underdog is 8-1-1 ATS in the last 10 meetings. Gamecocks the side...take SOUTH CAROLINA!

Texas at Kansas 3:30 ET

Longhorns (-) over Jayhawks- Here we go again with Texas getting huge respect from the odds makers as they are once again favored on the road against a team with a better or similar record as both of these guys are 6-4. The reason for the difference here is defense the Longhorns are in the middle of the pack but Kansas is allowing 443 YPG and 30.4 PPG while Texas allows just 21.3 PPG. Although defeated last week by TCU they allowed just 285 yards of which 75 yards came on one running play. Jayhawks having their best season in ages falls here. Horn’s are 4-0 ATS after SU loss and Kansas is 4-13 ATS in last 17 games after a SU loss. Take TEXAS!  2

Connecticut at Army 12:00 ET

Cadets (-) over Huskies- You would have thought that Connecticut had won the National Championship of the Super Bowl the way they celebrated their upset win over Liberty. Players and fans alike joined together on the field for an extended period of time. It wasn’t so much the win over Liberty but the fact that the Huskies had become bowl eligible for just the second time in 50 years. Despite being 6-5 Connecticut has been out-gained by all but one of their opponents (Fresno State) as they average only 295 YPG while Army averages 300 yards on the ground. As it is UConn allows 153 rushing yards and only gains 106 yards rushing. Look for Cadets to man handle the Huskies on their way to a dominating win as the Huskies go through the motions here. Take ARMY! 

Texas Christian at Baylor 12:00 ET

Bears (+) over Horned Frogs- No. 4 TCU put away Texas 17-10 in Austin while gaining only 280 yards of offense including a one play 75-yard run. The positive is that they only allowed the Longhorns 28 yards rushing and a lone score that came on a fumble return for a touchdown with about four minutes left in the game. Baylor is the 3-time defending league champions and had their 3-game winning streak end last week against Kansas State. The Horned Frogs have won the last three meetings and six of the last seven meets. Baylor is not out of the Big-12 race yet, if the win out they can get to the title game plus the underdog is 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings. Take BAYLOR!

SMU at Tulane 7:30 ET

Mustangs (+) over Green Wave- I just can’t see Tulane winning the AAC and getting to play on New Years Day it just doesn’t seem to fit. I don’t mean to say that it would be any better if the Mustangs win out and rep the lower tiers. since these schools have been hooking up in the AAC the Mustangs are 7-0 (ATS 5-2) and are also 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings at Tulane. If it means anything o'r not the Wave are not used to the spotlight and are 0-4 ATS on Thursday nights. Stangs 4-0 ATS in last four all AAC games and still have a shot at the conference title. SMU has the better offense but Tulane’s defense has made more stops. In a tight one (I think it should be)...take SOUTHERN METHODIST!

TCU at Texas 7:30 ET

Longhorns (+) over Horned Frogs- Well, this is the one that has attracted everyone’s attention as undefeated No. 4 TCU (9-0) is a touchdown underdog to No.18 three-loss Texas (6-3) in Austin. There has got to be good reason why the Longhorns are favored by a touchdown. I may not know what it is but, they won for us in this position last week as a 3-point favorite at higher ranked Kansas State, and three weeks ago they were once again favored over an undefeated Oklahoma State in Stillwater and lost after having a 17-point second quarter lead scoring 31 first half points. But they managed just a field goal in the second half still gaining 530 yards but a pair of fumbles and three interceptions did them in. This price is so intimating that even the ‘wise guys’ want no part of it. The Horned Frogs are No. 4 on offense in the nation averaging 509 YPG and  yet...not this night. Take TEXAS!

North Carolina at Wake Forest 7:30 ET

Demon Deacons (-) over Tar Heels- To start with when I saw this match-up my first impressions is that they have the wrong team favored. Then it takes a while to sink in that their is reason for this number and it is it to get action on both side of the game. How could anyone lay points with Wake Forest as they’ve lost two straight outright as 3-point favorites road favorites and now stay in that role at home against the Tar Heels. Demon Deacons are 5-1 ATS after a loss and the home team is 7-1 in the last eight meetings. Take WAKE FOREST!

Washington at Oregon 7:30 ET

Huskies (+) over Ducks- I just love this, the biggest quarterback flops from their respective conferences the SEC and Big Ten are now throwing their chests out because of the great success they have had in the Pac-12. No. 6 Oregon who thought that they were getting more of the same old of former Auburn QB Bo Nix as they lost their opener the Georgia 49-3 but since then he has been ‘Big Game Bo’ and the ducks have reeled off eight straight wins. Washington raided mid-west and plucked Michael Penix Jr. from Indiana and he leads the nation in passing yards with 3,432 and 23 TD passes. The Ducks have had their way in this series but Penix Jr is

the wild card difference. Take WASHINGTON!

Maryland at Penn State 3:30 ET

Terrapins (+) over Nittany Lions- This is tough to take as Penn State has so fundamentally sound and tough to play against in this series as they are (now get this) 41-3-1 SU overall but two of the Terrapins wins came at State College in 2014 and 2020. But, after the way the Lions won so convincingly while Maryland was falling apart against Wisconsin allowing Tua get get sacked five time with a season low of completions (10). They are already Bowl eligible and and the road team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings. Take MARYLAND!

Central Florida at Tulane 3:30 ET

Knight’s (+) over Green Wave- Tulane has been a pure joy this season having won five straight games and are 8-1 ATS this season. The Green Wave at No. 16 have their highest ranking since 1998, UCF has won 5-of-6 and will start either Mikey Keene or John Rhys Plumlee and I don’t think it really matters. as this line has given Tulane little chance. The Knights have the No. 7 offense in the land it will be too much for the upstart wave. Take CENTRAL FLORIDA!

Alabama at Mississippi 3:30 ET

Crimson Tide (-) over Rebels- This is another one that looks a little out of whack as the twice beaten Crimson Tide are such a strong favorite on the road. Alabama’s losses a 3-point loss at Tennessee and a 1-point overtime loss at LSU and they are still a quality clue that has committed too many penalties and lead the nation in dropped passes. The Tide have won six straight in the series and Rebels are 1-6 ATS in their last seven home games. Take ALABAMA!

LSU at Arkansas 12:00 ET
Razorbacks (+) over Tigers- It is scary how much I am attracted to this match-up. LAU has moved up to No. 7 in the ranking after their 32-31 win over a flawed Alabama squad and like Tennessee last week they are being a bit over-rated. The Tigers actually control their own path but it would take an incredible coaching job by Brian Kelly who calls this a ‘trap game’ to win out or even here. I expect a huge letdown after such an emotional win and I’m looking for an embarrassed Razorback squad that lost to Liberty 21-19 at home. Hogs 5-2 ARS in last seven meetings as hosts and 4-10-1 ATS in the last 15 meetings overall. These Pigs are 7-0 ATS after scoring less than 20 points. Take ARKANSAS!

East Carolina at Cincinnati

Pirates (+) over Bearcats- Streaking is a great part of the game and East Carolina is ready to stop a 4-game losing streak to Cincinnati and look to continue their own 3-game winning streak. The Bearcats are two-time defending AAC champion and have won 31 straight home games and the Pirates haven’t won in the Queen City since 2001 (my goodness). Bit ECU is led by QB Holton Ahlers who is in his fifth year as a starter and is completing 70.1% of his passes good for a 155.2 rating. Stat wise these two even out with the Cats having a better defense and the Buc’s having a better offense. It’s just time as the conference champs are not of the same statue as previous seasons and may be a tad over-rated. Take EAST CAROLINA!

Wake Forest at N.C. State 8:00 ET

Wolfpack (+) over Demon Deacons- Playing against the Demon Deacons has been a joy as our Megabucks winner Louisville routed Wake Forest last week. NC State is in perfect position to pull off a second consecutive upset of the Deacons as their defense is geared to stop Wake allowing barley 300 yards per game. The home team is 18-4 ATS in the last 22 meetings and the Wolfpack are 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings as hosts versus Wake. Take NC STATE!

Clemson at Notre Dame 7:30 ET

Fighting Irish (+) over Tigers- The Irish came through as ‘our’ Early-Bird Game of the Year winner a 41-24 win over Syracuse. after dropping their opener o Ohio State and then getting routed by Marshall after two games the season looked bleak for Notre Dame. But, wins over North Carolina and Syracuse have them believing in themselves once again. Clemson is the clubs that prides itself with a stout defense but is actually Notre Dame that is ranked one spot above the Tigers on D. Clemson is 2-8 ATS in their last 10 non-conference games and the Irish are 6-0 ATS against the ACC. Take NOTRE DAME!

Alabama at LSU 7:00 ET

Crimson Tide (-) over Tigers- Oh boy...this is our chance to see Alabama actually rout a decent team in their backyard. LSU has defeated the tide once in the past 11 years and that was the season led by Joe Burrow the Tigers won the National Championship. The difference between these two will be witnessed on both sides of the ball as Alabama’s defense allows just 295 YPG and that includes the 567 yards put up by No. 1 Tennessee. Note that the road team is 6-0 ATS in the last six meetings and that trend continues here. Take ALABAMA!
