Alabama at Florida 3:30 ET

Gators (+) over Crimson Tide- Can anyone play with Alabama? I'm serious about this, they look to be the most physical team (Maybe Georgia) that I've seen this season. Florida always has talent at the skilled positions and speed to boot. The Tide lost two linebackers last week and that might give the Gators an opening they hadn't thought of prior to their injuries. Florida coach Dan Mullen is 0-10 lifetime against Nick Saban coached teams but got the money last season in a 52-46 loss to the Tide. This is Alabama's first trip to Gainesville since 2011 and they are 1-4 ATS on the road against teams with winning records and the gators are 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 games after an ATS loss. Take FLORIDA!

Nevada at Kansas State 2:05 ET

Wolf Pack over Wildcats- A pair of the nation's better defenses face off at Bill Snyder Stadium as 2-0 Kansas State hosts 2-0 Nevada. The Wildcats allow just 254.5 yards per game ranking them in the Top-20 while the Wolf Pack allows just 165 yards per game ranking No. 7 in the nation. On offense Kansas State has a decided advantage averaging 363 yards while Nevada can barely eek out 186.5 YPG. So why is the 2-0 home team who comes from a superior program and underdog here. Cats will be without QB Skylar Thompson and that means trouble. Also KSU opens conference play next week against OK. St. and might not be truly focused. Take NEVADA!

Cincinnati at Indiana 12:00 ET

Hoosiers (+) over Bearcats- Come-on you've got to be kidding me. Cincinnati is a power house that is built around defense Indiana is an imposter built around an overrated quarterback that can't throw the ball with any accuracy. The Hoosiers quarterback Michael Penix, Jr. opened the season with three interceptions against Iowa but bounced back going 11-of-16 and two mTD's passing and one rushing. Cincinnati ranked in the top-10 is considered a dark horse for the FBS playoffs and crushed Murray State 42-7 last time out after pounding Miami-Ohio 49-14. With this line being so cheap as it is I expect the Hoosiers the surprise here. The Bearcats are 2-5 ATS in their last seven as road favorites and Indy is 5-1 ATAS in their last six games as underdogs and 9-2 ATS in their last 11 overall. Take INDIANA!

Maryland at Illinois 9:00 ET

Fighting Illini (+) over Terrapins- Maryland has already posted a pair of wins and are averaging 535 ypg with both victories coming at home. They defeated West Virginia (a horrid road team) in their opener 30-24 as a 2.5-point underdog and then crush Howard 62-0 as a 47-point favorite. Illinois meanwhile opened the Bret Bielema era with an upset win over Nebraska and have dropped a pair of games since losing to UTSA and getting blown out by Virginia 42-14 last week. Illinois starting QB Brandon Peters will return from injury in this contest and can be the difference as Maryland takes to the road for the first time. Take ILLINOIS!

Washington at Michigan 7:30

Huskies (+) mover Wolverines- Many are calling it the 'worst loss in school history' as the Huskies dropped their opener 13-7 to FCS Montana. Could the then ranked No. 20 Washington have been looking ahead to this Big Ten matchup...we shall see. Michigan posted a 47-14 win over Western Michigan but lost their start wide receiver and kick returner to season ending injuries. Jim Harbaugh is under the gun to produce this season but has struggled against the Pac-12 going 1-10 ATS in the last 11 meetings. Huskies 4-1 ATS after SU bounce back here. Take WASHINGTON!

Money Game

N.C State at Mississippi State 7:00 ET

Bulldogs (+) over Wolfpack- When NC State was installed as an 18-point favorite in their opener against South Florida I noted that either the Wolfpack are really good or the Bulls are bad. Well, the Bulls are worse than bad as the Pack shuts out USF 45-0. Mississippi State meanwhile was slipping by Louisiana Tech 35-34 with a 20-point fourth quarter come-from-behind win (largest comeback win in school history). NC State is taking to the SEC road where them and the ACC haven't fared so well as the Wolfpack are 1-8 on SEC road not have won since 1991 at South Carolina. Take the BULLDOGS!

Texas at Arkansas 7:00 ET

Razorbacks (+) over Longhorns- There was a time when there was a Southwest Conference this contest would draw a lot of attention. But, both these schools have had a rough time of late although they both are on the upswing right now. This will be the 79 meetings but the first time since 2014 and just the sixth time in the last 30 years and they had met 60 straight years. Texas will be going once again with redshirt freshman QB Hudson Card who passed for 224 against Louisiana while the Razorback rushed for 245 yards against Rice winning 38-17 after trailing 17-7. Hogs run while here. Take ARKANSAS!

Power Play

Iowa at Iowa State 4:30 ET

Cyclones (-) over Hawkeyes- What has drawn my attention to this matchup is the way Iowa dominated Indiana last week (I totally misread that game) and that the Cyclones after a weak showing against BCS Northern Iowa are such a strong favorite. The Hawkeyes have won the last five meetings and now after am impressive 34-6 Big Ten they go on the road where they are 1-7 ATS in their last eight games as road underdogs. They has been heavy action and the Book maker will need the Cyclones and so will I. Take IOWA STATE!

Rutgers at Syracuse 2:00 ET

Orange (+) over Scarlet Knights- Greg Schiano is back and so is Rutgers (1-0) as they opened the season with a 61-14 rout if Temple. The Scarlet Knights were 13-47 between coaching stints for Schiano while Syracuse had their worst season in school history going 1-10 losing their last five home games. But, the Orange opened with a win 29-9 at Ohio averaging 7-yards a rushing attempt while not committing a turnover. Going on past performances this line is way low and makes me believe that Syracuse is better than most think and are greatly improved. Take SYRACUSE!

Louisville at Mississippi 8:00 ET

Cardinals (+) over Rebels- There are plenty of storylines to follow from head coaches to player accomplishments on both sides of the ball. Mississippi's head coach Lane Kiffin enters his second season at Mississippi and he had the top offense in the SEC last season. Meanwhile Louisville's defense was ranked fourth in the ACC last year and have seven defensive starters returning. The Cardinals don't have no longer has the likes of Lamar Jackson as they have turned into a defensive club that was stingy giving up points but they do have the return of quarterback Malik Cunningham. Mississippi had the SEC's worst defense with a low of 16 sacks but, the Rebels led the SEC in rushing with and that's why the total is at 75.5. Take LOUISVILLE!

Notre Dame at Florida State 7:30

Seminoles (+) over Fighting Irish- Notre Dame is once again ranked in the Top-10 although many doubt their ability to truly contend with the 'elites' in college football. The Fighting Irish have an experienced quarterback in Jack Coan who was beat out at Wisconsin by Graham Mertz after an early season injury. If any of you saw Mertz for the Badgers Saturday I have to wonder if this guy Mertz can win the job from Coan that Jack has a long way to go. Florida State was 3-6 last season with just two wins over FBS schools and are looking for a fresh start in coach Mike Norvell's second season. Take FLORIDA STATE!

SEC/ACC Power Play

Georgia at Clemson 7:30 ET

Tigers (-) over Bulldogs- Can anyone ever live up the billing and the headliner here is not perennial national contender Clemson it's the national perennial short-comers...Georgia. When I first saw this match-up I thought that the SEC Bulldogs plus the points would be a good take but I wasn't alone and it seems both 'pros' and public are in lock step. That has me moving toward Clemson who may have lost Trevor Lawrence but will just reload this season. JT Daniels the transfer from USC starts for Georgia and maybe we will see why he left. Take CLEMSON!

Indiana at Iowa 3:30 ET

Hoosiers (+) over Hawkeyes- When the headlines for your football team is that you have a leading candidate is a center no matter how good he is I think what else you got. Indiana not know to be a football powerhouse won six games last season the most Big Ten wins they have had since 1987. The Hoosiers are led by quarterback Michael Penix Jr., and they are 10-2 when he starts as he returns from a torn ACL. Indiana returns eight starters both on offense and defense and should win this one outright. Take INDIANA!

Alabama vs. Miami-FL 3:30 ET

Hurricanes (+) over Crimson Tide- Okay here's the gig...Alabama will be starting a Million-dollar quarterback that has yet to throw a pass at the NCAA level. The formidable Crimson Tide lost six offensive players in the first round and now matter what kind of system you have that is a lot of talent to replace. Miami who is 'Up and Coming' will have D'Eriq King back leading the attack and the 6th year senior has recovered from a torn ACL. Alabama is Big and Bad but that doesn't mean they would face some competition that stands up to them.Take MIAMI!

North Carolina at Virginia Tech 6:00 ET

Hokies (+) over Tar Heels- North Carolina has received plenty of 'hype' this year and for good reason as they return a prolific offense that put up 56 points against Virginia Tech last season. The Tar Heels with have three year starting quarterback Sam Howell leading the charge but they have to replace a pair of stellar running backs. The Hokies at 5-6 last season ending a 27-year bowl streak but the home team have won the past four meetings and VT is 6-3 at home in the series. Take VIRGINIA TECH!

Ohio State at Minnesota 8:00 ET

Golden Gophers (+) over Buckeyes- I'm willing to take my possible lumps if I have to, but I can in no-way pass on the Golden Gophers here. To start with even after suffering a 52-24 beating by Alabama 'The Ohio State' will always be overrated especially starting the season and are always a popular public choice. Minnesota is in a great spot with many returning starters including a fourth year senior at quarterback and the Big Ten Running Back of the Year last season. Take the GOLDEN GOPHERS!

Nebraska at Illinois 1:00 ET

Fighting Illini (+) over Cornhuskers- So here comes Nebraska favored by a touchdown or less after four straight losing seasons under Scott Frost. The Cornhuskers were 3-5 in 2020 while Illinois was 2-6 but there have been changes in Champaign as former Big Ten coach at Wisconsin Brett Bielema and more recently at Arkansas has 17 returning seniors for the Illini. I believe the 'fresh' blood and attitude will aid Illinois but the Cornhuskers have a 4-year starter at quarterback as Scott Frost panics over his job. Take NEBRASKA!

Ohio State vs Alabama 5:00 ET

Buckeyes (+) over Crimson Tide- Ohio State had their best game of the year using Dabo's 'Bulletin-board' material to dismantle Clemson and established that they belong here. Alabama's 31-14 win over Notre Dame was never in doubt as they scored the first time they had the ball and led 14-0 after having had two possessions and controlled the outcome from that point. The Tide may welcome wide receiver Jaylen Waddle back to saddle up with Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith as if QB Mac Jones didn't have enough ammo with Najee Harris (27 TD's) running the ball. OSU QB Justin Fields is supposed to be banged-up but I'm sure he will be out there. Take ALABAMA!

North Carolina vs Texas A&M 8:00 ET

Tar Heels (+) over Aggies- All season long I've saying that Aggies just don't pass the eye test and are not as impressive as the media makes them out to be. But, I may be wrong as as they are 7-0 ATS in their last seven games as the only game the failed to cover was against Alabama 52-24 and I believe that's when I soured on them. North Carolina has one of the top offense in college football scoring 43 points per game while averaging 557 yards per game including 250 rushing and 300 passing. After scoring 62 points in their final game against Miami where they ran for 554 yards the Heels will find the going a little tougher here. Take TEXAS A&M!

Oregon vs Iowa State 4:00 ET

Ducks (+) over Cyclones- Wally Pipp felt ill took himself out of the lineup and never played again as Lou Gehrig did the next 2,130 games. Well, the Washington Huskies felt ill and the Oregon Ducks filled in quite nicely in the Pac-12 Championship game defeating USC 31-24 and they are still playing. Iowa State recovered after an opening week loss to Louisiana-Lafayette winning 8-of-9 before falling in the Big-12 Championship game to Oklahoma 27-21. Like most Pac-12 teams the Ducks struggle out of conference 5-11-1 ATS last 17 but are 25-9 ATS playing on grass. Although Iowa State is 16-7 ATS after a SU loss they are 2-7 ATS in non-conference games and 0-6 ATS at neutral sites. Take OREGON!

N.C. State vs Kentucky 12:00 ET

Wildcats over Wolfpack- This has got to be the 'Don't Make Sense' Game of the Year! Let's me set the table here if you will. N.C. State closed their season with four straight wins, they are ranked No. 23 and are 8-3 on the season. Saturday the face a 4-6 Kentucky team that has no offense as they average just 311 ypg and just 124 yards passing. The Wolfpack went 2-3 against nationally ranked teams while the Wildcats were 0-4. I do see an issue with State as they are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games against the SEC and Kentucky is 7-0 ATS in their last seven non-conference games. Take the WILDCATS!

Ohio State vs Clemson 8:00 ET

Buckeyes (+) over Tigers- No. 11, yup, that where Dabo Swinney ranks the Buckeyes and if you don't think that statement wasn't billboard material think again. The Tigers' head coach wasn't actually saying he thinks they are the 11th beat team in the country he was stating that you shouldn't be playing for the NCAA Championship with a five-game regular season resume. I understand that Trevor Lawrence is who we think he is but the Buckeyes will have him in their sights. Ohio State looked lack luster and even sluggish in the Big Ten Championship game against Northwestern and we find out for good reason. The last time these two met OSU had a 16-0 lead 25 minutes into the game and Clemson closed strong winning 29-23. This time the Buckeyes get it done a full 60 minutes. Take OHIO STATE!

Notre Dame vs Alabama 4:00 ET

Fighting Irish (+) over Crimson Tide- The Fighting Irish did exactly as we thought would do against Clemson as we laid -10 and were never threatened and in the meantime Alabama was cruising along scoring 49.7-points a game and going 11-0. Georgia was the only team to have a half time lead against the Tide and the Crimson blew out the Bulldogs halfway through the 3rd quarter winning and 'covering' 41-24 as a 6-point favorite. We acknowledge how powerful Alabama but still believe this year's Notre Dame team has reached a higher tier and I expect a great effort here. Take NOTRE DAME!

Auburn vs Northwestern 1:00 ET

Tigers (+) over Wildcats- Auburn was one of the other teams that I looked to 'fade' most of the season as the media had made a big deal of QB Bo Nix who was a poor man's Tim Tebow. Northwestern is off the Big Ten championship game loss to Ohio State 22-10 after leading 10-6 at the half. I wonder if losing like that and blowing a chance at the title if their heart is in this matchup. In a news update Auburn fired head coach Gus Malzahn and defensive coordinator Kevin Steel as interim until former Boise Head coach Bryan Harsin takes over. Auburn is 6-1 ATS in their last seven non-conference games while although the Wildcats are 7-1-1 ATS in their last nine games overall they are 1-6-1 ATS out of conference. Take AUBURN!

Georgia vs Cincinnati 12:00 ET

Bulldogs (-) over Bearcats- All season long I have been riding the Bearcats and singing their praises to anyone would listen and at the same time all I did was bad mouth the Bulldogs. Well, Georgia made an adjustment and changed quarterbacks and started JT Daniels the USC transfer and they have been a different team ever since winning all three starts three scoring 31, 45 and 49 points in consecutive weeks. When I first heard of this bowl matchup I was silly with glee, it was the meeting I wanted and I said that Cincinnati would probably win the game outright. But, as it sets up No. 8 undefeated (9-0) Cincinnati is a touchdown underdog to No. 9 (7-2) Georgia. This is a Bearcats team that has beaten three ranked teams and yet the the oddsmaker likes the Bulldogs. Most season's I would have stuck with the non-Big-5 team but the nation's media to pumping Cincinnati to help aid the expansion of the playoffs. Too much attention on the upstarts...take GEORGIA!

West Virginia vs Army 4:00 ET

Mountaineers (-) over Cadets- Having been a former platoon Sergeant in the US Army it pains me to even write this up. Fort Campbell, KY and Fort Sill, OK stand proud as are both coming under fire for it's past policies and practices. After defeating Navy and Air Force on consecutive Saturdays to end the season the Cadets got this opportunity when Tennessee developed issues. So, the Army who had packed up their gear and ended their season had to unpack and start the 'show' up for one more game when this invite came along. Meanwhile, West Virginia hasn't missed a beat continuing to practice through all the crap. I could go on about schedules trends and such but it still comes down the the Cadets having ended a satisfying season (9-2 SU) and then end up getting drafted to play. Take the MOUNTAINEERS!

Ball State vs San Jose State 2:00 ET

Cardinals (+) over Spartans- No. 22 ranked San Jose State is in un familiar terrible just being in a bowl game to start with and favored at that. Why so you ask. Well the Spartans were just 3-22 in Brent Brennan first two years as coach and improved to 5-7 last season and this year the perfect storm and they are 7-0 SU and 6-0-1 ATS. Ball State pulled off one the conference title games biggest upsets when the shut down Buffalo in the MAC and they are 7-0 in their n;last seven games as underdogs and 11-5 ATS in non-conference games. SJS has been playing well the last two seasons going 12-3-2 ATS in their last 17 games overall and are 15-5-1 ATS against teams with winning records but...they are 3-8 ATS out of conference. Take BALL STATE!

Tulsa vs Mississippi State 12:00 ET

Bulldogs (+) over Golden Hurricane- Here we go with another losing team involved in a bowl game as 3-7 (Yup) Mississippi State makes their 11th straight bowl appearances in the Armed Forces Bowl. Tulsa (6-2) last played postseason in the Miami Bowl in 2015 and had won just nine games total in the previous three seasons. The Golden Hurricanes were 'game' in the AAC title game against undefeated Cincinnati 27-24. The Bulldogs opened the Mike Leach era with a win over LSU 44-34 and then lost seven of eight before closing with av 51-32 win over Missouri. With this line where it is the 'books' think that Tulsa is more just a 'Golden Shower.' Somehow...it's MISSISSIPPI STATE!

Florida vs Oklahoma 8:00 ET

Gators (+) over Sooners- In this the most unusual of seasons in all sports the Cotton Bowl which set up as one of the best games of the entire bowl venue has been tainted by defections. Florida and Oklahoma ranked 7 and 6 were to have a battle matching epic offenses that were running on all 16 cylinders. Both quarterbacks Florida's Kyle Trask and the Sooners Spencer Rattler are exceptional as the Gator senior has 43 TD passes (10 more than any other QB) and the red-shirt Sooners freshman one of the nations top recruits and he has completed 68% of his passes with 25 TD passes averaging 280 ypg. But, as you must have noticed by now the line which had the Gators favored and climbing to minus-3 has turned and jumped to Oklahoma -3 and then -4, 4.5, 5.5 and 6 and it will keep climbing until kickoff. The reason for this is that a number of Florida receivers will not be playing. If it's true that can be a big blow to the Gators, but that's how stars are born. So, we will have Florida and wait as long as, we can before making a play. Take FLORIDA!

Texas vs Colorado 9:00 ET

Longhorns (-) over Buffaloes- No. 20 Texas closed their season with a rush winning four of their last five heading into their fourth straight bowl under Tom Herman and they are 3-0 the past three bowls. Under first year coach Karl Dorrell Colorado was the surprise of the Pac-12 opening the season with an impressive win over UCLA but finished on a down note losing at home to Utah.The price is high to me as Texas is just 1-3-1 ATS in last five as favorites although they are 7-1 ATS in their last eight non-conference games and 7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings. Buffs are only 3-8 ATS after a SU loss (before Dorrell) but also 5-2 ATS out of conference. Take TEXAS!

Western Kentucky and Georgia State 3:30 ET

Hilltoppers (+) mover Panthers- It's Conference USA rep Western Kentucky (5-6) against the Sun Belt's Georgia State who is making their fourth bowl appearance since entering the conference 11 years ago. The Hilltoppers dropped four of their first five against bowl teams losing the UAB, liberty Louisville and Marshall while Georgia State's schedule was not as rigorous. WKU is 39-19 ATS in their last 58 as underdogs while the Panthers are 3-8 ATS L-11 against teams with losing records. Take WESTERN KENTUCKY!

Marshall vs. Buffalo 2:30 ET

Thundering Herd (+) over Bulls- Both these non-Big 5 clubs started the season with prolonged winning streaks as Marshall was 7-0 before getting pasted 20-0 by Rice (they also lost to UAB 22-13 in their next game) while Buffalo was 5-0 entering their MAC Championship game where they were bested by Ball State 38-28 last Friday. The Bulls have the flash with Jaret Patterson who ran for 301 and 409-yard in back-to-back games but was removed in the final quarter as he injured his right knee. The Thundering Herd are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 as underdogs and 7-1 ATS in their last eight bowl games while Buffalo is 1-7 ATS at neutral sites. Take MARSHALL!

Hawaii vs Houston 3:30 ET

Cougars (-) over Rainbow Warriors- How 'bout diss, the New Mexico Bowl is being played in Frisco, Texas somewhere in that huge state near Dallas. Houston (3-4) has dropped their three after having eight games postponed or cancelled is 19-7 against Mountain West teams and they want to finish the season at .500. Hawaii who is used to playing and hosting their own bowl game will be playing a bowl game on the mainland for just the third time. The Rainbows defeated the Cougars 54-48 in 3OT's in the 2003 Hawaii Bowl and the cats have been waiting for revenge ever since (Ya think?)! Aside the Islanders are 17-41 ATS against teams with losing records and 19-46 ATS after an ATS loss. Houston who plays on field turf is 20-8 on natural grass. Take HOUSTON!

Central Florida vs. B.Y.U. 7:00 ET

Knights (+) over Cougars- The most commendable thing that took place during this weirdest of all college football when undefeated BYU accepted a opportunity to travel to play undefeated Coastal Carolina with just 48 hours notice after COVID cancellations. So, the Cougars on a bye week with no plans to play took on the challenge and were handed the defeat that squashed their hopes. BYU's QB Zach Wilson brings the No. 8 offense into south Florida and he's looking forward to playing in warm weather. But, he will be up against Gabriel Dillon who leads the No. 2 overall offense with 586 yards a game including 373 yards passing. Cougars have a much stronger defense No. 9 allowing joust 309 YPG while the Knights surrender 474ypg and 31.4 ppg while BYU allows just 14.6ppg. But, this is a bowl game in the South. Take CENTRAL FLORIDA!

Tulane vs Nevada 3:30 ET

Wolf Pack (+) over Green Wave- After starting 5-0 Nevada stumbled to the finish line losing two of their last three including a loss to San Jose State in the MWC Championship game. Tulane came from 2-4 to win 4-of-5 and finish 6-5 but just 3-5 in the AAC. Their will be no fans in attendance but the reception in Idaho will be cold enough for the Louisiana based Green Wave. Nevada is 0-3 in this 'Spud' Bowl having lost last season to Ohio and before that to Miami and Maryland. This time behind Carson Strong the MWC Player of the Year the Wolf Pack get the gravy in the Potato Bowl. Take NEVADA!

Alabama vs Florida 8:00 ET

Gators (+) over Crimson Tide- Alabama opened the season by allowing 24, 48, and 24 points and it was said that they had defensive weaknesses. Well, in their last six games they have allowed 17, 0, 3, 13, 17and 3 a grand total of 53 points averaging allowing 9.1 points and now they are up against a powerhouse offense. Florida who has 609 yards in offense last week in their 37-34 loss to LSU leads the nation in passing yards with 386 and the Tide are ranked No. 5 overall with 538 yards per game. The Crimson Tide are 7-0 ATS in their last seven and are 5-1 TAS in the last six meetings while Gators are 5-1 ATS in last six games as underdogs. Ebb tide as Gators chomp! Take FLORIDA!

Clemson vs Notre Dame 4:00 ET

Tigers (-) over Fighting Irish- All season long I've been saying that Notre Dame has finally reached that upper tier of teams like Alabama, Ohio State and yes even Clemson and they proved that they can play with anybody by defeating the Tigers 47-40. I believed that the public would gravitate to Clemson in the rematch because Trevor Lawrence would be back but the oddsmaker must have thought so as well making them double-digit favorites. So, my original thought that Notre Dame would sweet the series has been dashed as the public is backing the Irish. It wasn't the fact that Clemson was without Lawrence as his substitute passed for 439 yards in was a defense that allowed 208 yards rushing. Three defensive starters were out for the Tigers in that one and they are back and that might make the difference. It just seems too easy to take ND so I won't...take CLEMSON!

Oregon at U.S.C 8:00 ET

Ducks (+3) over Trojans- Before the season started this was the match-up the experts all predicted would happen in the Pac-12 Championship Game but, it didn't happen the way that was expected. USC was unimpressive early struggling as double-digits favorites lucky just to beat ASU and a terrible Arizona team and last week they put together a miracle finish to beat and 'cover' against UCLA after trailing by 18-points late in the 3rd quarter. The Trojans were expecting to play Washington but 'you know what happened' as they aren't able to field a team. Oregon was 3-0 before dropping their last two on the road at Oregon State and California. These Ducks flew south for this game and they will crap on the Trojans! Take OREGON!

Nebraska at Rutgers 7:00 ET

Cornhuskers (-) over Scarlet Knights- This is the final game for both clubs in 2020 and neither team no matter who wins will still fall short of a .500 season. If you compare these two's stats they are a wash without any advantage except that Rutgers offense has scored five more points a game while allowing two more. The fact that Nebraska is favored shows the bookmaker doesn't have much faith in the Knights especially after an outright win. Cornhuskers are 4-0 lifetime against Rutgers and get one of the thumb...take NEBRASKA!

U.A.B. at Marshall 7:00 ET

Blazers (+) over Thundering Herd- Marshall had their undefeated season come to an end last time out bas Rice not only won but shutout the Herd 20-0 but, that wasn't the crazy part which is that they were a 24-point beaten favorite. This is the third straight trip tp the USA Championship game for the Blazers defeating Mid Tenn 27-25 two years ago and they were swamped by Florida Atlantic 49-6 last season. The home team is 11-3 SU and 10-4 ATS in the last 14 CUSA Championship games so I am surprised the line is as low as it is. Think about it Marshall's defense is No.1 in points allowed (11.4) and No. 2 in total yards (254) and rushing yards (73). It doesn't make sense for the line to be as low considering UAB runs for an average of 198 ypg. Take the BLAZERS!

USC at UCLA 7:30 ET

Bruins (+) over Trojans- If this game was at a different time or day it might be my best of the day. USC was a winner for us last Sunday as the bolted out to a 28-0 1st quarter lead over Washington State and just stopped playing putting it on cruise control the rest of the way. The Trojans are once again the media darlings of the Pac-12 and are always overrated and on the other side of the coin the Bruins feel slighted. USC has had COVID issues and with this game at the empty Rose Bowl UCLA will let their offense do it's thing averaging 36 points and 431 yyg. Take U.C.L.A.!

Utah at Colorado 12:00 Noon ET

Utes (+) over Buffaloes- I 'saw' Colorado beat Arizona last week and I also saw them defeat UCLA in their opener and I am impressed with what their first year coach Ken Dorrell has done. Colorado is an unexpected 4-0 and has moved to No. 21 in the AP and yet are a meager favorite against a 1-2 Utah team. The Utes are 0-3 ATS as they surrendered two TD's in the final minutes at reduce a 20-point lead down to a non-covering six (30-24). This 'price' is way too cheap when comparing season records. Something's just not right...Take UTAH!

Minnesota at Nebraska 12:00 ET

Cornhuskers (-) over Golden Gophers- Nebraska has been good to 'us' winning all three times 'we' had them including last week's 37-27 win at Purdue their second straight road cover. The Cornhuskers are a young them that is getting better and gaining momentum but this number having them favored by double-digits peaks my interest. They have been favored just one other time this season against Illinois (-17) and the4y failed miserably losing 41-23 outright. Minnesota is coming off a win of their own over Purdue 34-31 at home but that was three weeks ago as the virus has affected their schedule. The Golden Gophers won last year's meeting in Minneapolis 34-7 and now it's payback...take NEBRASKA!

Heavy Hitter

Michigan State at Penn State 12:00 Noon ET

Nittany Lions (-) over Spartans- If things aren't confusing enough with teams looking to reschedule games or just bring in available opponents now when the have a match-up they change the venue and even starting times after scheduled announcements. So beware, this game is at Noon ET. That's not going to help Michigan State who may be 2-4 but are dreadful and while Penn State is 2-5 they have gained their sea-legs so to speak with wins over Michigan and Rutgers and believe it or not out-gained six of their seven opponents and are a Plus-90 ypg. The Spartans on the other hand are minus-85 ypg. The Penn State defense should shut down any offense MSU might try to muster as the Lions roar and atone for their m0-5 start. Take the NITTANY LIONS!

Nevada at San Jose State 10:00 ET

Wolf Pack (+) over Spartans- I know a lot about this matchup as the Mountain West Conference has little to brad about but this about be a good one all round. Nevada is 6-1 with their only loss coming at Hawaii 24-21 while San Jose State is 5-0 SU and 4-0-1 ATS and have been unbelievable in MWC play going 16-5-2 ATS. Wolf Pack won last year's meeting 41-38 and are 5-0 ATS in their last five as underdogs. Take NEVADA!

Arizona State at Arizona 7:00 ET

Sun Devils (-) over Wildcats- The best thing about the outcome of this game is that at least one major college football team in the state has a victory. Arizona State (0-2) has played both LA schools losing to USC 28-27 (Trojans scored twice in last minute after on-side kick) and to UCLA 25-18 at home last week. Last week Arizona jumped out to a 13-0 lead against Colorado and with six minutes to go in the second quarter the game was over for the Wildcats as the Buffaloes went 24-0 the rest of the way and were never threatened. This 'price' is way out of whack for a 'rivalry game' considering the Sun Devils haven't won a game yet...until tonight. Take ARIZONA STATE!

Pittsburgh at Georgia Tech 7:00 ET

Yellow Jackets (+) over Panthers- Pitt has had the best of this series of late as they have won four of the last five including last year's 20-10 win in Atlanta but are off a drubbing by No. 4 Clemson two weeks ago 52-17 and they are 4-0 ATS after a bye week. Georgia Tech meanwhile, was beaten by NC State 23-13 and fell to 3-6 on the season. Yellow Jackets are 5-2 ATS after a loss and the underdog is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings. Final chance for the Panthers to finish win a winning record and they only have to do it by less than a touchdown. Take GEORGIA TECH!

Washington State at USC 7:30 ET

Trojans (-) over Cougars- The way things are playing out Southern Cal looks like the best thing the Pac-12 has to offer as they enter with two wins as heavy favorites who were lucky to survive. Washington State is 1-1 having defeated Oregon State and Losing to Oregon and have allowed 320 yards a game passing. Trojans to exploit that defense (or lack of). Take USC!

Oregon State at Utah 10:30 ET

Utes (-) over Beavers- Here it is, an 0-2 team (Utah) is a double-digit favorite against a team that just defeated their arch rivals in the closing seconds. Oregon State just defeated Oregon for just the second time in 13 years 41-38 scoring with :33 left and have been celebrating every since. Utah meanwhile was blowing a 21-0 lead over Washington after having dropped their opener to USC 33-17. South Carolina graduate transfer Jake Bentley leads the Utes offense and they should be in command against this No. 94th ranked defense allowing 443 ypg. Beavers should get trapped but the Utes here...Take UTAH!

Oregon at California 7:00 ET

Golden Bears (+) over Beavers- Both clubs off losses to rivals and yet it probably hurts Oregon more than it does California. True that the Golden Bears (0-3) have yet to win but the Ducks loss surely knocks them and the Pac-12 out of any shot for the FBS. Ducks have won the last three and 10 of the last 11 meetings with the bears lone win at home in 2016. Hey, Herbert is gone and the Ducks spend more time on the ground where Bears have a chance to growl. Cal out-gained Stanford by a 150 yards on the ground while Oregon's putrid defense gives up 457 YPG, 30-points per and have only two forced turnovers while surrendering five. Take CALIFORNIA!

Indiana at Wisconsin 3:30 ET

Badgers (-) over Hoosiers- They have had their run but the engine main cog has a bad wheel and the Hoosiers feel good season will close on a sad note starting here. Indiana lost their QB Michael Penix Jr. for the year and was the glue on offense. But it's the Hoosiers defense leads the nation in take-a-ways with 18 including 16 int's. Wisconsin is looking to rebound after their loss to Northwestern two weeks ago after a bye last week due to COVID, whenever they get to play they are going to punish their opponent and Indiana is the perfect sacrificial lamb. With the No. 1 defense allowing just 233 ypg they Badgers will dominate the Hoosiers w/o their QB will have difficulty moving the ball. Take BADGERS!

Nebraska at Purdue 12:00 Noon ET

Cornhuskers (+) over Boilermakers- Despite their 1-4 record the Cornhuskers have been good to 'us' as we have collected on both their ATS wins and we will again here. Purdue opened the season with a upset win over Iowa although the Hawkeyes out-gained the Boilermakers by a 100 yards and they have been out-gained by every opponent every at Minnesota where they lost anyway. The underdog is 4-1-1 ATS in the last six meetings. Take NEBRASKA! 

Oklahoma State at T.C.U. 12:00 Noon ET

Horned Frogs (+) over Cowboys- Okay State is off a 50-44 OT win over Texas Tech where substitute Dezmond Jackson ran for 235 yards replacing All-American Chuba Hubbard who was out. The funny thing about is was they the Cowboys were out-gained by the Red Raiders by 100 yards and are now 0-4 ATS in their last four. TCU has turned things around after a slow start having won 3-of-4 and have a few trends working in their favor. The home team is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings and the underdogs is 5-0 ATS. But, they are also just 9-24 ATS in their last 33 home games overall. Take HORNED FROGS!

Penn State at Rutgers 12:00 Noon ET

Nittany Lions (-) over Scarlet Knights- Wow, what a difference a coach can make. When Greg Schiano left the Scarlet Knights after a 10-year run going 68-67 winning bowl games in five of six seasons. Rutgers is was 7-45 in Big Ten play since 2014 and had lost 21 straight conference games entering the season. Under Schiano they have two and blew double-digit leads in two others. Starting with school worst 0-5 Penn State posted their first win last week at Michigan 27-17 their season high in points since their OT opener at Indiana. Despite their record the Lions are in a much higher class. Take PENN STATE!

Nevada at Hawaii 11:00 ET

Rainbow Warriors (+) over Wolf Pack- Nevada stands at 5-0 after their win over San Diego State where they gave up 252 yards in the first half and shut down the Aztecs in the 2nd half allowing them to just 41 yards and holding State to a season low in offense. Hawaii at 2-3 has the talent to qualify for a bowl bid and are coming off a pair of losses to San Diego State and Boise State who had to scramble to get bye the Warriors. Hawaii coach Todd Graham loves to ambush visitors from the mainland as he has his Rainbows 22-4 ATS against teams off a SU and ATS win as well as 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings on the island. Take HAWAII!

Auburn at Alabama 3:30 ET

Crimson Tide (-) over Tigers- Imagine laying 24-points in an Auburn-Alabama rivalry game and doing it with confidence. Every year we see the same Alabama team with minor differences but they have the speed, the size and the talent with a quarterback destined to be a first-round pick. On the other side this season Auburn has not passed the eye test and they are nothing like the teams of past seasons. Between you and me because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings but this Bo Nix for the Tigers is a poor man's Tim Tebow with even less throwing accuracy and not much else. I am the guy that us usually looking for an opportunity to play against the Tide and get the points...not today. Take ALABAMA!

Northwestern at Michigan State 3:30 ET

Spartans (+) over Wildcats- After defeating Wisconsin 17-7 last week Northwestern is now 5-0 SU and ATS and face one of the Big Ten's bottom dwellers as Michigan State is just 1-3 and have been badly out-played in three of their four games squeaking out a 27-24 victory as a 21-point underdog against rival Michigan. The Spartans opened the season losing to Rutgers who had lost 24 straight-Big Ten games beat the Wolverines and them were pummeled by both Iowa 49-7 and Indiana 24-0. They have had two weeks to get ready because their game against Maryland was cancelled last week while the Wildcats are off a huge win over the Badgers and oddly enough have been out-gained yardage wise by three of their five opponents. The underdog is 11-5 ATS in the last 16 meetings but sadly for the Spartans they are 0-8 ATS in the last eight meetings as hosts. But, I expect Northwestern to be a bit flat after defeating Wisconsin who out-gained the Cats by 103 yards. In a surprise with the points. take MICHIGAN STATE!

Penn State at Michigan 12:00 ET

Nittany Lions (+) over Wolverines- I 'jumped the gun' last week with Penn State as they dropped to 0-5 straight-up (0-5 ATS) breaking a 135 year school trend of posting a win before their fifth game. Things are a little better for Michigan at 2-3 but their 1-4 ATS record has their 'backers' calling for Harbaugh's head. The fact that he has yet to beat Ohio State and has losses to weakling instate rival Michigan State, had to go overtime to defeat Rutgers who has ONE Big Ten win in 27 games and they had their 33-year win streak (1987) against Indiana end. For Penn State the 'numbers' are brutal and they are 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings and they are 5-20-2 ATS after a straight-up loss. Still, the Nittany Lions believe it or not have out-gained their five opponents by an average of 75 yards per game. Despite the records of these two the Lions are a better team and will get their much needed win. Take PENN STATE!

Stanford at California 3:30 ET

Cardinal (+) over Golden Bears- So here we are with 'The Game' between 0-2 Stanford and 0-2 California and with so much riding on this one I can't wait for basketball season but hey as a good friend once said 'there's got to be a winner.' Stanford coach David Shaw choose to take an extra week to heal the Cardinal defensive wounds and realizing the significance of playing Cal. The Golden Bears who have lost the last nine meetings were in position to defeat Oregon State last week and a blocked punt in the final moments doomed their efforts and Friday the Cardinal gives 'The Axe' to the Golden Bears. Take STANFORD!

Notre Dame at North Carolina 3:30 ET

Tar Heels (+) over Fighting Irish- I finally came over and I'm convinced that Notre Dame is one of the best teams in the country and that they have finally reached the 'upper tier' of college football powers and here I go 'playing' against them. Not, to worry Irish fans it looks like the odds-makers are giving you room to win and 'not cover, otherwise I believe the Tar Heels have a great shot of winning this game outright. Under Mack Brown, North Carolina is 6-2 going 4-0 SU and ATS at home, they are No. 4 in Total Offense averaging 563 YPG and are ranked No. 10 at 43.1 PPG. It's a perfect storm for the Tar Heels...take NORTH CAROLINA!

Nebraska at Iowa 1:00 ET

Cornhuskers (+) over Hawkeyes- Having grown up watch Nebraska power football something they have done for a half century and it's difficult to digest how much they are being abused by bottom rung teams like Illinois who ran for 285 yards in last weeks' 41-23 home loss. The Cornhuskers defense ranks 98 allowing 450 yards a game while the home Hawkeyes are ranked 17 allowing just 320 ypg. Iowa has been more impressive than their 3-2 record would indicate as they started 0-2 but have out-gained all five opponents. Looking at the trends will make you sick if you are looking to back Nebraska and 'we' are so I won't even go there. I expect a HUGE effort from a college football team that will do whatever it can to not be humiliated like they were last week. Take the CORNHUSKERS!

Oklahoma State at Oklahoma 7:30 ET

Cowboys (+) over Sooners- For a rivalry game and a game between two evenly ranked teams this line seems a bit generous to me. No. 17 Oklahoma is a 7-point favorite against a team ranked higher at No. 14 in Oklahoma State. Not only a pair of Oklahoma's face-off but a pair of Spencer's quarterbacking for each side. But, it's not offenses that will determine this games winner it will be their defenses and State's is much superior. The Cowboys allow just 315 yards a game while the Sooners surrender 515 yards per game...a HUGE difference. Note that the road team is 7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings and State is 12-4 ATS against teams with winning records and 18-6 ATS in their last 24 games as underdogs. Take OKLAHOMA STATE!

Wisconsin at Northwestern 3:30 ET

Wildcats (+) over Badgers- Oh man, if you like to gamble you will be taking one here playing against the red-hot and dominating Badgers. Granted Northwestern is 4-0 but not hardly as impressive as Wisconsin has been destroying teams like Michigan 49-11 and Illinois to open the season 45-7. Their No.1 ranked defense has been leading the way and freshman QB Graham Mertz has been great and errorless in his two game. The Wildcats will counter with graduate transfer Peyton Ramsey who had three TD passes against Purdue and the nCats defense isn't so bad itself ranked No. 10 at 302 yards surrendered per game. The Wildcats are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings and get it done again here today. Take NORTHWESTERN!

Cincinnati at Central Florida 3:30 ET

Knights (+) over Bearcats- What a great ACC matchup with Central Florida having that prolific offense against the Bearcats stellar defense. Cincinnati has been impressive all season and their defensive task this week is to slow down the Knights No. 1 ranked offense which averages 619 yards per game while Cincy's defense is ranked 9th allowing just 301 yards per outing. UCF is 1-5 ATS in their last six as they have been prohibited favorites and now their role is changed. Now, the Knights are home underdogs and they are 5-2 ATS as dogs and 4-1 ATS against teams with winning records and the Bearcats are 0-4 ATS in their last four on natural grass. Take CENTRAL FLORIDA!

Iowa at Penn State 3:30 ET

Nittany Lions (+) over Hawkeyes- It has been 19 years since Penn State started a season 0-4 and they finished 5-6 that season winning five of their last seven. Not only are the Nittany Lions 0-4 SU they are also 0-4 ATS and the odd fact is that they out-gained all opponents except for Ohio State as penalties, missed field goals and turnovers a key moments have doomed their season. Penn State has won the last SIX meetings and are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games as underdogs and are 8-3 ATS after a straight-up loss. Iowa is 2-5 ATS after an ATS win and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games on grass and only 1-3-1 ATS in the last five conference games. Take PENN STATE!

Purdue at Minnesota 7:30 ET

Golden Gophers (+) over Boilermakers- No doubt Minnesota has been a major disappointment from their opening week loss to Michigan (Yeah, that Michigan!) and they were annihilated 35-7 by Iowa last week. Purdue (2-1) started with an upset win over Iowa and then beat Illinois before losing 27-20 to Northwestern last Saturday. Boilermakers had +2 yards rushing last week and have just 191 yards rushing total in three games this season. Being one-dimensional is rarely a successful formula on the field. Look for the Gophers to emerge from the hole that they have created and use their ground game to dig out a home victory. Take MINNESOTA! Collect here and roll it over to Chip's Big Ten Game of the Year on Saturday.

Oregon State at Washington 11:00 ET

Beavers (+) over Huskies- I always feel that a team with a game under their belt is in better position than a team playing it's opening game, although this give a chance to view opponents game film. There an interesting storyline concerning the coaches as the Beavers head coach Jonathan Smith was Washington's OC who raised their scoring over 5-points per game over a four year span and the Huskies offense slipped back to 26 points after his departure. Oregon State on the rise is 7-0 ATS in last seven as road dogs and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 overall. Washington is just 2-7 ATS as hosts in the last nine meetings. Take OREGON STATE!

Wisconsin at Michigan 7:30 ET

Wolverines (+) over Badgers- Wisconsin opened the year with one of the most dominating performances of this cockeyed season destroying hapless Illinois 45-7. The Badgers held the Illini to just 218 total yards which is best in the nation with just one game played. Michigan of course has garnered plenty of attention having lost two straight after an opening win over Minnesota as they fell to rival Michigan State and last week to Indiana who they had defeated 22 straight times. The media is starting to pressure Wolves coach Jim Harbaugh as Michigan licks their wounds while Wisconsin has had to deal with COVID issues having games cancelled and being idle for three weeks. After playing an defeating an inferior opponent the Badgers get to pat themselves on the back and lose their competitive edge. The Wolverines are desperate for a win and I expect a huge effort here as the home team is 7-2-1 ATS in the past 10 meetings. Take MICHIGAN!

Oregon at Washington State 7:00 ET

Cougars (+) over Ducks- Oregon who is favored to win the Pac-12 conference and go off to a quick start out-classing Stanford for a convincing 35-14 win while the Cougars opened their season with a 38-28 at Oregon State as Freshman Jayden de Laura accounted for three TD in his college debut. The Ducks won last year's meetings 37-35 ending a four game losing streak in the series. Wazzu is 10-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings including 5-0 ATS as hosts and are 14-6 ATS in their last 20 at home overall. Take WASHINGTON STATE!

Texas Christian at West Virginia 12:00 ET

Horned Frogs (+) over Mountaineers- We are 4-0 ATS with and against West Virginia this season winning with them twice when at home and twice against them when they were on the road and as a matter of fact they are 6-0-1 ATS as home favorites while struggling on the road. TCU at 3-3 SU is 4-2 ATS with a win over Texas and are looking for revenge for last season's home 20-17 loss to the Mountaineers. TCU is 15-7 ATS in their last 22 games as road underdogs and will be ready here. Take TEXAS CHRISTIAN!

Penn State at Nebraska 12:00 ET

Cornhuskers (+) over Nittany Lions- Do you believe it? Here it is November 14 and two of the nation's most revered and storied football programs are winless at this date. Penn State got off to a rocky start losing to Indiana in OT as they committed 10 penalties, missed three field goal attempts and had three turnovers while holding the Hoosiers to 31 yards rushing. The next week they were beaten soundly by Ohio State 38-25 and were out-gained by 201 yards and last week they pushed around Maryland but lost but committed three more turnovers and missed again at their field goal attempt. The Lions have not been a good team on a rebound as they are 6-18-2 ATS after a SU loss and 1-5 ATS in their last six games as favorites. There is not many positives about Nebraska that can be said as they are 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games overall and 6-18-2 ATS in their last 26 home games and 1-7 ATS as home underdogs. Penn State has been headed 'south' ever since James Franklin took the coaching job and they fail here. Take NEBRASKA!

Colorado State at Boise State 8:00 ET

Rams (+) over Broncos- Boise has quarterback issues and is down to the 3rd string with freshman Cade Fennegan running the offense against BYU as starter Hank Bachmeier and USC transfer Jack Sears (21-of-24) were sidelined. Colorado State returned to their 2019 starter at QB as Patrick O'Brien led the Rams to a win over Wyoming. Rams coach Mike Bobo is 3-1 ATS in the last four meetings against the Broncos and they are 13-5 ATS on the road against teams with winning records. Take COLORADO STATE!

Vanderbilt at Mississippi State 3:30 ET

Bulldogs (-) over Commodores- I've telling anyone who would listen that the SEC is lucky so many conferences haven't played because it is a terribly weak conference. After all Alabama is favored by an average 33 points and they keep 'covering. And these are toe of the worst. Okay so Vandy 0-4 SU, 1-3 ATS hasn't played the Tide yet but Mississippi State has, last week and they didn't score a point 41-0. Their last four games they scored the Bulldogs have scored 0, 14, 2, 14 and after getting shut out last week they are a 19-point favorite and they haven't scored anything close to that much less covering a number that huge. The Commodores are lost at sea as far as I'm thinking and they really can't last at all as they are 4-14 ATS in their last 18 overall and 7-19 ATS as underdogs. Bulldogs are 6-2 ATS in L-8 as home favorites and 4-1 ATS in last five against Vanderbilt. Take MISSISSIPPI STATE!

Minnesota at Illinois 3:30 ET

Illini (+) over Golden Gophers- When the Big Ten season opened Minnesota was considered a strong contender after last season's performance but are 0-2 after getting pushed around by Michigan and then blew a 21-point fourth quarter lead to Maryland and lost 45-44 after a missed extra-point. Illinois is also 0-2 as they were destroyed by Wisconsin in their opener 45-7 and then were defeated by Purdue 31-24 allowing 49 of 56 passing attempts to be completed this season. The Illini have yet to force a turnover allowing 443 yards per games still better by almost 150 yards better than the Golden Gopher defense which allows 576 yards a game. Take ILLINOIS!

Houston at Cincinnati 3:30 ET

Cougars (+) over Bearcats- Cincinnati will hang their hats on their defense as they allowing 12 points per games ranked No. 7 in points allowed and 15th in total overall defense. There last two win came over SMU and Memphis last week dominating both clubs. The Bearcats have out-gained every opponent including the powder-puffs they played like Austin Peay, Army and South Florida. Houston meanwhile has had five games postponed or cancelled and opened the season trailing Tulane 24-0 at the half and came back to win. Since then, they have lost to BYU and Central Florida a pair of pretty good clubs and defeated Navy. There is just too much attention being paid to the Bearcats and with the ESPN and national attention coming an opponent always wants to make an impression. Note that the Cougars are 19-6-1 ATS in their last 26 games as road underdogs. Take HOUSTON!

Liberty at Virginia Tech 12:00 ET

Hokies (-) over Flames- We have seen this before this season where an unranked team Virginia Tech is favored against an undefeated ranked team. Liberty enter this fray No. 25 while the Hokies who have had COVID issues are at full strength and glad to be on the field. As I said last week W.Virginia unranked was favored over ranked Kansas State and the Mountaineers won for us and that was the third time this season that we took advantage of that situation. These two met in 2016 and VT as a 31-point favorite won 36-13 holding the Flames to 160 total yards. Now, I expect Liberty to do better than that this time but Tech knows who they are playing. Liberty has out-gained every opponent playing a bunch of dregs and coach Hugh Freeze has stated 'No one has stopped us yet'...till now. Take VIRGINIA TECH!

BYU at Boise State 9:45 ET

Broncos (+) over Cougars- No. 7 BYU might have the best quarterback in the country in Zack Wilson and with all the attention going to Lawrence and others and this week he's up against at thorn in the Cougars side. You see, Boise is 6-0 SU lifetime when hosting this 'Border War' including a start by Wilson in 2018 a 21-16 SU loss but a winner ATS getting +11. This time the Cougars are the favorite but the result will be the same although they are 12-5 ATS in their last 17 road games. As far as the Broncos are concerned they play well at home 6-1 ATS last-7 and as underdogs going 7-1 last eight in that roll. I kinda thing that they might have the wrong team favored here. Take BOISE STATE!

San Jose State at San Diego State 9:00 ET

Spartans (+) over Aztecs- Oh yes, SD State has been very impressive in their two victories defeating UNLV 34-6 and Utah State 38-7. The Aztecs have the nation's No. 1 ranked defense allowing just 200 yards per games as they out-gained those two opponents by 597 yards, but they have faced a pair of the Mountain West dregs. San Jose State has surprised Air Force and New Mexico and is averaging 354 yards a game passing and will be the first decent offense that SDS will be facing. The Spartans have struggled against the Aztecs going 1-6 ATS in the last seven meetings but are a stellar 14-5-1 ATS in their last 20 conference games. Keeping it close...take SAN JOSE STATE!

Miami-Fl at N.C. State 7:30 ET

Wolfpack (+) over Hurricanes- Miami-Fl has had two weeks to bask in the South Florida sun and gloat about their 5-1 record and two-game winning steak. NC State has also had two weeks to get ready and they are hurting off a beating at the hands of North Carolina and now have to deal with the cocky and overconfident Hurricanes. The Wolfpack at 4-2 have faced four ranked teams and believe that their 3-3-5 defense can stifle Miami quarterback D'Eric King. The Canes who are improving from recent editions are just 1-4 ATS last-5 as road favorites while the Pack is a miserable 3-10 ATS last-13 as underdogs but a fabulous 19-7 after a bye week. Take NORTH CAROLINA STATE!

Wyoming at Colorado State 9:00 ET

Rams (+) over Cowboys- Last Thursday and Friday 'we' posted against Colorado State and won with Fresno State (+) outright 38-17 and on Friday 'we' had Wyoming (+) outright over Hawaii 31-7. So entering this matchup I believe that I have a bead on both these clubs. I love the way this game sets up and believe the Rams at home have a decided advantage over the Cowboys although the visitor in is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings. They are also 14-6 ATS in their last 20 as favorites while the Rams are 7-3 ATS after a SU loss and are 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games. Take COLORADO STATE!

North Carolina at Virginia 8:00 ET

Cavaliers (+) over Tar Heels- I know they are good, real good and although the Tar Heels are 4-1 SU 'we' are 5-0 ATS having had a side in each of their contests. (I have a bead on this club). On paper this looks like a route with North Carolina who is second to Clemson in the ACC and is No. 8 in the nation with 531 yards offense and have committed just one turnover. Struggling Virginia has lost four straight since an opening win over Duke and had to scrap and claw to get the 'cover' last week against Miami-Fl (Megabucks winner) and that's what they will do again here. The CavalIers defeated Sam Howell and the tar Heels last season 38-31 so they know what to expect. Take VIRGINIA!

Ohio State at Penn State 7:30 ET

Nittany Lions (+) over Buckeyes- Oh, how I should love this game and may still use it as a Best Bet but I have a concern about the Nittany Lions running game as Noah Cain sustained a season ending injury and he was replacing last season's leading rusher Journey brown who has been ruled out for the year. Penn State lost to Indiana in overtime last week but you wouldn't know it if you only saw the box score as they out-rushed the Hoosiers 250 yards to 41. But, the turned the ball over three times and missed three field goals. Ohio State was invincible last week crushing Nebraska 52-17 as Justin Field went 20-21 for 276 yards and two TD's passing and one running. The Buckeyes will find it a little tougher going this week on offense. Take PENN STATE!

Boise State at Air Force 6:00 ET

Falcons (+) over Broncos- Boise State did their thing at home on dizzying blue carpet that makes me nuts easily taking apart Utah State who looks to have returned to prior level of play which is very low. Air Force opened the season by sinking the Navy 40-7 on Oct. 3 and then lost their edge waiting three weeks before getting bet by San Jose 17-6. The blue turf helps as as Broncos are 1-4-1 ATS in their last six road games and 1-3-1 ATS as road favorites and are 2-5-1 ATS in the last eight meetings. Add the home team is 3-0-1 ATS last four meets and the Falcons are 9-2-1 ATS as home underdogs. Take AIR FORCE!

Virginia Tech at Louisville 4:00 ET

Hokies (-) over Cardinals- I like this side I really do but Virginia Tech has yet to play a game at full strength and here they come up a favorite on the road against a hungry Louisville team that broke a four-game losing streak by pummeling Florida State 48-16. The Hokies fell at wake Forest 23-16 last week out-gaining the Deacons by over 120 yards and have out-gained opponents in four of five games. I question why Tech is a favorite on the road as they are 7-24 ATS in their last 31 games as road favorites and Louisville is 5-1 ATS in their last six home games but 6-16 ATS in their last 22 as home underdogs and a miserable 6-20-1 ATS against teams with a winning record. Take VIRGINIA TECH!

Texas at Oklahoma State 4:00 ET

Longhorns (+) over Cowboys- So, Oklahoma State is ranked No. 6 and now they host their nemesis from the north a Texas team that was dropped from the rankings which once had them at No. 8. Mike Gungy has his Cowboys defense ranked No. 4 allowing just 12 points a game. While despite their two losses the Longhorns have averaged 45 points per game. Texas dominated the series early winning 22 of the first 24 but O.K. State has won seven of the last 10 and four straight before the Longhorns 36-30 win in Austin last year. Cowboys on up tick the last two seasons going 15-5-1 ATS in their last 21 games overall. I don't know if they have enough as the visitor is 10-3 ATS in the last 13 meetings. Take TEXAS!

Notre Dame at Georgia Tech 3:30 ET

Yellow Jackets (+) over Fighting Irish- Want to talk about ugly just take a glance (just a glance) at what Georgia Tech's defense has done since their opening win win over Florida State. They have surrendered 49, 37, 27, 73 and 48 points in their last five games and average of 46.8 points per game. Notre Dame of course just keeps rolling along and at 5-0 they have the No. 9 ranked defense allowing just 273 yards a game but have not faced a team with a winning record and their opponents are a combined 8-22. Tech gave the ball away their first three possessions last week at Boston College and were never in it after getting crushed the previous week 73-7 by Clemson. They come ready against the over-rated Irish. Take GEORGIA TECH!

Kansas State at West Virginia 12:00 ET

Mountaineers (-) over Wildcats- Since getting beat as a 15-point favorite at home against Arkansas State 35-31 Kansas State has reeled off four straight wins and covers including victories over Oklahoma, TCU, Texas Tech and last week Kansas. West Virginia meanwhile does their thing losing on the road (0-2) and winning at home (3-0) and this one's at home, but that isn't the key factor as to why you should take the Mountaineers and 'forget about it.' The 'Hillbillies' have out-gained each of their five opponents while the Wildcats can only claim one such advantage. K. State has as usual had the best of special teams play with 15 turnovers so far and five returns for TD's. West Virginia will counter with No. 6 defense allowing just 261 yards a game while KSU offense is ranked 70 they also grade out better on offense at 461 yards per. Take WEST VIRGINIA!

Colorado State at Fresno State 10:00 ET

Bulldogs (+) over Rams- There has been a switch in sites of this game which has been moved out of Fort Collins to Fresno and moved to Friday from Saturday. Whew, got that settled. Colorado State returns to where they upended the Bulldogs 41-31 as 13-point underdogs and the Bulldogs are looking for huge revenge. Fresno State is 19-6-1 ATS in their last 26 games as underdogs including 9-1-1 ATS in their last 11 games as home dogs. CSU is 5-0 ATS in their last five games as a favorite but are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 road games against a team with a losing record. Take FRESNO STATE!

Virginia at Miami-Fl 8:00 ET

Cavaliers (+) over Hurricanes- It's difficult to keep in mind that Virginia played in the ACC championship game last season as they enter this contest having lost three straight games by 17+ points while having to use four different quarterbacks. The difference for Miami (4-1) this year is the QB maturity of D'Eriq King has helped settle their offense but their defense allows 396 yards. Virginia has actually out-gained their opponents but have been hampered by 12 turnovers and costly errors at key moments. Cavaliers are 13-5 ATS against teams with winning records while the Hurricanes are 4-1 ATS at home, but Cavs also 4-1 ATS last five at Miami and the underdog is 13-3 ATS in the last 16 meetings. Take VIRGINIA!

West Virginia at Texas Tech 5:30 ET

Red Raiders (+) over Mountaineers- Sometimes it's just a way it falls and I have to believe the Red Raiders are in position to pick up a win and the Mountaineers are likely to fall. West Virginia leads the nation in total defense allowing 240.3 yards and just 2.7 per rushing attempt. Changes for Texas Tech as they were pushed around by 'our' Power Play winner Iowa State and they will be starting junior Henry Colombi who hasn't started a game since high school. But, was recruited at Utah State with this current Red Raiders coaching staff and should be able to run the offense without difficulty. Take TEXAS TECH!

Georgia Tech at Boston College 4:00 ET

Yellow Jackets (+) over Eagles- This one is so ugly I was trying to find a way of not writing it up. Both clubs coming off terrible beatings where Georgia Tech as destroyed by No.1 Clemson 73-7 the worst school in school history. The Eagles were downed by Virginia Tech 40-14 turning the ball over five times and surrendering 350 yards on the ground. The Yellow Jackets average 196 yards on the ground even after a game against Clemson's 'D' and if you can't stop the run you can't stop the 'Engineers' offense. Trends are no so good for GT but Boston College is 1-6 ATS as favorites including 0-5 ATS as favs at home. Take GEORGIA TECH!

Alabama at Tennessee 3:30 ET

Volunteers (+) over Crimson Tide- Do you think I get a kick out of playing against the Tide...I don't honest, I just want to win and there are a plethora of reasons to back the Volunteers here and there is one good reason not to...Nick Saban. Alabama is 13-0 against Tennessee since 2007 when Saban took charge. The Crimson just blew out Georgia in the final 20 minutes forcing three int's on three straight possessions scoring behind Mac jones who is at 78% and 380 yards per game passing. 'Bama has had a pair of blowout wins at home a pair of ATS losses on the road against Mississippi and Missouri as they are 2-5 ATS in last seven as road favorites are 1-8 ATS following an ATS win. Volunteers have been outscored 61-7 in their last six quarters since their 21-17 half-time lead against Georgia and after being embarrassed by Kentucky 34-7. Take TENNESSEE!

Baylor at Texas 3:30 ET

Longhorns (-) over Bears- What is going on Texas and Oklahoma both have a pair of losses in by week six of college football. Texas coach Tom Harmon is under the gun as they say in Texas as the results of his hire have yet to measure up to expectations while first-year Baylor coach Dave Aranda is just hoping to have 11 starters on each side of the ball ready to go. The Bears have had three games postponed because of COVID contacts including 28 players and 14 coaches testing positive on Oct 3 and then 17 other players teated positive on Oct 12. Sunday, they got to practice for the first time since October 7th. I just don't see them as being ready for the Longhorns who have won the last five in the series, Take TEXAS!

N.C. State at North Carolina 12:00 ET

Tar Heels (-) over Wolfpack- I don't know what it is but North Carolina has played four games and I have posted a 'side' in each of their contests and I'm 4-0 ATS having had Florida State in last week's outright 31-28 win over the Tar Heels. N.C. State who is playing their fourth road game is 4-1 SU and 4-1 ATS and I haven't had much interest in any of their games until I saw this 'number' here. My first thoughts were, are the Wolfpack really this long an underdog (+15) against their 'biggest' rival' in a series where the underdog is 12-5 ATS in the last 17 meetings. Add that the road team is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings. Maybe the broken leg of starting QB against Duke influenced the line but, Bailey Hockman returns to the job he lost after opening the season with two starts. Mack Brown has NC on the rise and the Heels coming off last week's beating and should return to form in kind take over on defense against an NC State team that has been out-gained in total yards in three of last four. Carolina won last year 41-10 after three straight losses to the Pack and they romp again! Take NORTH CAROLINA!

Georgia at Alabama 8:00 ET

Bulldogs (+) over Crimson Tide- I loved this matchup the moment I saw it but it has been tinted with Nick Saban missing from the sidelines but that isn't necessarily a bad thing as the Tide have failed in four of their last six head-to-heads for No.1 and he was out-coached badly twice. Both teams are 3-0 with No. 2 Alabama led by NCAA passing leader Matt Jones with a rating of 220.3 (66-of-83) with 8 TD's and only 1 Int. No. 3 Georgia is working their 4th QB choice in a 5'10” junior Steton Bennett who has the No.1 rushing defense (38-yards pg) behind him to establish field position. Bulldogs are 5-1 ATS as underdogs and 17-5 ATS L-22 on the road against teams with a winning record and are 6-2 ATS the last-8. Tide 6-0 ATS after ATS loss. Defense RULES! Take GEORGIA!

Boston College at Virginia Tech 8:00 ET

Hokies (-) over Eagles- Oh boy, boy oh boy...TAKE VIRGINIA TECH. I couldn't keep it 'in' any longer. 'We' played 'against' the Hokies last week as they were dominated by North Carolina and everyone 'loved' them and now this week they are 'poison.' Look at this 'price', silly isn't after all Boston College (3-1) gave the North Carolina all they could handle before falling 26-22 (VHL winner) and the Hokies were blown out by the Tar Heels 56-45 last week. It sets up for me...how about you! VT had players affected by the virus (23 total) but still managed a 45-24 win over NC State with 15 players absent. Kansas transfer running back Khalil Herbert averages 10.4 yards per carry and 150 yards a game for the Gobblers. Take VIRGINIA TECH!

North Carolina at Florida State 7:30 ET

Seminoles (+) over Tar Heels- Lordy, how the Tar Heels (3-0) have been good to 'us' as 'we' are 3-0 ATS in their three games. Florida State is in chaos (1-3) as they have yet to defeat an FBS school this season but 'covered' their first game last week (+21) 26-42 against Notre Dame. They did show some offensive progress as they totaled 405 yards their season high other than beating Jacksonville State. North Carolina No. 5 had 656 total yards against Virginia Tech last week and are brimming with confidence as a double-digit broad favorite. As good as the Heels are and have looked they will come back to the pack this week and the Seminoles who will start Louisville transfer Jordan Travis are improving will get the cash here. Carolina coach Mack Brown a FSU alumnus is 0-9 lifetime against the Seminoles. Take FLORIDA STATE!

Texas A&M at Mississippi State 4:00 ET

Bulldogs (+) over Aggies- I LOVE this match-up after last weeks results and I can say I rate this one HIGHER than last weeks SEC Game of Month winner Texas A&M OUTRIGHT 41-38 over Florida. Now, we have the Aggies fresh off that upset win and must travel to Starkville to face an angry Bulldog team that has dropped their last two. Mississippi State started the season with a huge 44-34 win over LSU with K.J. Costello (transfer from Stanford) passing for an SEC record 623 yards and dropped their last two to Arkansas and Kentucky. The 24-2 loss to the Wildcats was a joke as the Bulldogs defense allowed just 158 total yards but SIX interceptions did them in. The Aggies are off their upset win over the Gators and battled Alabama the week before, there may not be much fuel let in the tank. Take MISSISSIPPI STATE!

Central Florida at Memphis 3:30 ET

Tigers (+) over Panthers- Memphis (1-1) won the first meeting between these two and haven't won since losing 12 straight meetings. Central Florida (2-1) is favored on the road at Memphis (1-1) and I guess I shouldn't be surprised as they have been favored in their last 13 games going 4-9 ATS and are 0-4 ATS their last four in Memphis.The Tigers had last week off and are 20-8 ATS after bye weeks ands are 13-6-1 ATS in their last 20 home games. Panthers QB Dillon Gabriel has NFL written all over him has nine TD's and only two Int's but experienced Memphis QB Brady White is third on Tigers career passing list with 7,970 yards. Take MEMPHIS!

BYU at Houston 9:30 ET

Cougars (+) over Cougars- HA! Not only is it confusing enough with both teams nicknames the Cougars but the site has been changed from Provo, Utah to Houston. Undefeated BYU (5-0) has had a soft schedule to this point while Houston had five games cancelled before their opener last week a come-back 49-31 win over Tulane after trailing 24-7 at the half. Houston committed five TO's (4 in 1st half) and with explosive talent made a number of 'big plays.' BYU's offense centers around QB Zach Wilson who has accounted for 14 TD's with one TO and 81.2% completions leading the offense to 557 yards a game. Although they were scheduled to play at home BYU is none-the-less 11-5 ATS on 'planned' road games...this one's different. Houston not to be taken lightly is 21-7-1 ATS as home underdogs. Take HOUSTON!
