Utah at Arizona 10:30 ET

Wildcats (+) over Utes- Arizona has run up the score in two routs over powder-puff opposition beating Northern Arizona 62-24 and UTEP 63-16 and falling to Houston 19-16 in between. The Utes 3-0 have had their way against North Dakota 37-16, San Jose 54-16 and a weak BYU club 19-13. Utah is led by dual threat quarterback Tyler Huntley who is 80-of-111 and is the team's leading rusher. The Wildcats will look to run the ball sitting 6th Nationally averaging 328 rushing yards a game. With Utah breaking a 4-game losing streak in the series at home last season well tonight the Wildcats 'right-the-ship.' Take ARIZONA!

Clemson at Louisville 8:00 ET

Cardinals (+) over Tigers- Wow, what a great match-up with the Heisman winner up against the defending National Champs. Clemson enters Pope John's Cardinal Stadium with 10 consecutive games on opponents fields and are 3-0 lifetime over Louisville including a 42-36 win at home last season. In that game Cardinals quarterback Lamar Jackson accounted four 457 yards and four touchdowns. In two games against Purdue and North Carolina the Heisman winner is averaging 505 yards per game 385 of which is passing. Look for the home team to gain some revenge for last season's loss at Clemson. Take LOUISVILLE!

Kansas State at Vanderbilt 7:30 ET

Commodores (+) over Wildcats- Kansas State has scored 55 points in each of their first two contests as they destroyed power-puffs Central Arkansas 55-19 and Charlotte 55-7. Vanderbilt who has also posted two wins over weaker competition defeated Mid-Tenn State 28-6 and Alabama A&M 42-0 showing vast improvement on defense. This in only the 2nd meetings between these two with Vandy posting a 26-14 win in 1984. We will all recognized the improvement the Commodores have made when this game goes final. Take VANDERBILT! 

L.S.U. At Mississippi State 7:00 ET

Bulldogs (+) over Tigers- Difficult to gauge these two clubs after their performances against weak non-conference competition where they both crushed their opponents. But, there are some signals that can give us insight into tonight's match-up. There are a few things to note about LSU as the Tigers committed 21 penalties in their first two games and have struggled with their kicking game (field goals) once again. The Bulldogs fell to the Tigers 23-20 in Baton Rouge and believe it was some home-town cooking that caused their defeat. This time out they get the win. Take MISSISSIPPI STATE!

Oregon at Wyoming 7:00 ET

Cowboys (+) over Ducks- After losing eight of their final 10 games last season Oregon has opened 2-0 under new coach Willie Taggart as they did last season and are averaging 59.5 points in wins over Southern Utah 77-21 and Nebraska 42-35 (led 42-14 at half). Wyoming opened the season with big hype as quarterback Josh Allen was being talked about as a Heisman candidate but a 24-3 loss at Iowa silenced that gibberish. So the Cowboys bounced back with a 27-0 win over Gardner Webb which is not too impressive while the Ducks took the 2nd half off against the Cornhuskers and should be well rested. But, Wyoming is 8-1 in last nine at home and is 2-4 at home against Power 5 since 2000. Take WYOMING!

Tennessee at Florida 3:30 ET

Gators (+) over Volunteers- Okay, I understand that Florida did not score an offensive touchdown against Michigan in their opener but they were without their top two offensive players in wide receiver Antonio Callaway and running back Jordan Scarlett who will return Saturday. The Gators had their second game against Northern Colorado cancelled and have been waiting for a chance to atone for their weak performance against the Wolverines. The Vols are 2-0 and off a 42-7 win over Indiana State and that doesn't necessarily help as coach Butch Jones is 4-13-1 ATS after a win of 14 points or more. Take FLORIDA! 

U.C.L.A at Memphis 12:00 ET

Tigers (+) over Bruins- We have seen the Bruins move the ball through the air coming from behind against Texas A&M and routing Hawaii 57-23 while passing for 820 yards in two games. The problem for UCLA is that they have surrendered 332 yards rushing per game. That is not good for Jim Mora's squad as Memphis had two 100-yard rushers in the first-half of their opener ran for over 300 yards. With this game starting at noon Eastern time it is essentially a 9AM start for the West Coasters. Take MEMPHIS! 

Utah at B.Y.U. 10:15 ET

Cougars (+) over Utes- BYU maybe 1-1 and on the season but they haven't played well in either contest a 20-6 win over Portland State or their beating 27-0 against LSU. Utah who has won six straight and 11 of the last 15 games in the series won last year 20-19 by stopping a two-point conversion attempt. The Cougars have offensive issues as quarterback Tanner Mangum (28-51-296) can't do it alone. Utah started slow against South Dakota State winning 37-16 dominating the 2nd half. This game is for states 'Bragging Rights' and both sides with be ready but the urgency will be behind the Cougars. Take BRIGHAM YOUNG!   

Stanford at Southern Cal 8:30 ET

Trojans (-) over Cardinals- Man, after all the hype I had to endure for weeks about how good Southern Cal was all I have heard this week is how they are not the team many thought they were, this after one game. Stanford has had the best of it in this series the past decade winning the last three and seven of the past nine as they return from Australia off a 62-7 win over Rice. USC was tie in the 4th quarter against upstart Western Michigan before pulling away late winning 49-31. Although the Cardinal are 11-3 ATS in the last 14 meetings the Trojans have won 10 straight against FBS competition. Underrated USC gets it done here...Take the TROJANS! 

Georgia at Notre Dame 7:30 ET

Fighting Irish (-) over Bulldogs- Georgia's true freshman quarterback Jake Fromm became the storyline when he enter the game in mid-first quarter to lead the Bulldogs to a 31-10 victory over Appalachian State. The Irish meanwhile were running over Temple 49-16 behind three 100-yard rushers. Quarterback Fromm will find that playing on the road and against the Notre Dame defense will be much different than beating the Mountaineers at home. Tough spot for any QB much less a first road game for a freshman. Take NOTRE DAME!   

South Carolina at Missouri 7:00 ET

Tigers (+) over Gamecocks- South Carolina took the opening kick-off 97 yards for a touchdown and were never headed last week taking down N.C. State 35-28 while Missouri ran past Missouri State 72-43 setting offensive school records. Granted the Tigers opposition was from another 'division' in college football and they even surrendered 43 points as a 36-point favorite. I look for Missouri's offense to continue scoring and their defense to sure up against the run where the Gamecocks are weak. South Carolina gained just 245 offensive yards in last weeks win over the Wolfpack and only 31 yards rushing. Take MISSOURI! 

Auburn at Clemson 7:00 ET

Tigers (+) over Tigers- Okay let get this out of the way...Tigers win! There are so many things that I like about this game where I first saw the match-up. We will see some contrast here as Clemson enters the contest racking up 665 offensive yards in their 56-3 win against Kent while Auburn pounded Georgia Southern 41-7 holding the Eagles to 78 total yards. AU will be going with former Baylor QB Jarrett Stidham behind center and his experience and talent will overcome Death Valley. Take AUBURN!

Ohio at Purdue 8:00 ET

Bobcats (+) over Boilermakers- Purdue is definitely on the upswing as they gave #10 Louisville a battle to the end in their 35-28 loss as a 25-point underdog. But they have had such a long way to go having won just nine of their last 50 contests. Ohio beat up on hapless Hampton 59-0 and usually after a cupcake like that a club falters when the play gets tougher. These two haven't met since 1988 a 33-10 Purdue win but this Bobcats team is 6-1 ATS in road openers and 6-1 ATS against Big Ten. Boilermakers are just 1-3 ATS at hone against the MAC. It just adds up...Take OHIO!

Tennessee vs Georgia Tech 8:00 ET

Yellow Jackets (+) over Volunteers- Tennessee who has their best season (9-4) since 2006 will be hard pressed to replace their offensive firepower, especially in quarterback Joshua Dobbs who has moved on the play in the NFL. Georgia Tech like the Volunteers will have a new quarterback and there are four possibilities that coach Paul Johnson says that will play. Johnson is famous for running the best 'Triple-option' offense in the country and dismissed last years leading rusher for the team in August. Still, he is 13-2 straight-up in season openers and will christen the brand-new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Georgia Tech closed last season with four wins and is 5-1 in their last six games against the SEC. Take GEORGIA TECH! 

Texas A&M at UCLA 7:30 ET

Aggies (+) over Bruins- These two schools opened the season against each other last season as the Aggies took UCLA down in overtime. Both clubs closed the season weakly as Texas A&M lost four of their final five games and the Bruins dropped six of their final seven. The Aggies lost quarterback Trevor Knight to the NFL while UCLA as we are all aware is returning outspoken Josh Rosen who was limited to six games last season because of injuries. The running game will be the difference here as A&M returns two powerful running backs in Trayveon Williams and Christian Kirk. Take TEXAS A&M!

Vanderbilt at Mid Tennessee State 8:00 ET

Blue Raiders (+) over Commodores- There is no question Vanderbilt has improved under coach Derek Mason but they still couldn't post a winning record last season despite beating Tennessee, Georgia and Mississippi. The Commodores have beeb slow starters for a number of seasons last winning their opener against Elon in 2011 and last time defeating a FBC team in 2008 against Miami-Ohio. Vandy pasted Mid Tennessee State last season at home 47-24 and come up a meager 3-point favorite on the road here. Look for the Blue Raiders to gain a measure of revenge at home. Take MID TENNESSEE STATE!

Appalachian State at Georgia 6:15 ET

Mountaineers (+) over Bulldogs- Georgia is expected to pound the ball with running backs Nick Chubb and Sony Michel both returning and skipping the NFL draft. Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart is in his second year at the helm and looks to improve on their 8-5 (4-4) record from his first season. Appalachian State has won 21 games the past two seasons and almost took down Tennessee in their opener last season losing 20-13 in overtime. The Mountaineers finished 17th in total defense last season and will be ready for the Bulldogs ground game. They won their bowl game the past two seasons and have the return of veteran quarterback Taylor Lamb and runnings back Jalin Moore who ran for 1,402 yards last season with 10 touchdowns. Take the MOUNTAINEERS!

Michigan vs. Florida 3:30 ET

Gators over Wolverines- A great match-up to start the season between two storied programs in Arlington Stadium. Michigan who lost 11 players to the NFL draft is ranked 9th while Florida who has back-to back SEC East Division titles will be without 10 players suspended for selling books. Hey we all understand most of the Platers at Florida may not be able to read anyway but the sure know how to play football. The Wolverines who are 16-3-1 in 20 regular season games against the SEC are 3-0 lifetime against the Gators including a 41-7 win in the Citrus Bowl the year before last. Something will have to give here as Michigan has won 28 straight openers and Florida hasn't lost a season opener since 1989 winning 27 in-a-row. This time the gators keep it close and possibly upset the Wolves outright. Take FLORIDA!

Boston College at Northern Illinois 9:30 ET

Huskies (+) over Eagles- Boston College head coach Steve Addazio is starting his fifth season at the helm of the Eagles and has built a defense that has held opponents to 18 points or less in 16 of their last 22 contests. The problem for the Eagles is that they just don't more the ball all that well as his offense has thrown for just 144, 111 and 129 yards per game in the past three seasons. The last time these two met BC owned the ball 37:51 minutes to 22:09 for the Huskies and managed just a 17-14 win. This time they don't make it. Take NORTHERN ILLINOIS!

Clemson vs Alabama 8:00 ET

Crimson Tide (-) over Tigers- In a re-match of last season's National Championship game Alabama remains undefeated (14-0) and has won a school record 26 straight wins. Clemson who has only one blemish (13-1) a 43-42 loss to Pittsburgh. This is a tough call as the 'number' is close to what it was last year when the Tide eeked out a 45-40 win as the Tigers scored late for the 'back-door' cover. Clemson who is 8-1 ATS in their last nine neutral site games are also 6-0 ATS in their last six bowl games. Alabama on the other hand had a better ATS record going 10-4 for the money which is pretty damn good when you consider what heavy favorites they were all season long. The Tigers played their best and near perfect game against Ohio State in their 31-0 route of the Buckeyes and will go against an Alabama team that will have a 'new' offensive cooordinator Steve Sarkisian who will replace Lane Kiffin who left under strange circumstances. In last season's matchup the Tigers put up 550 yards on offense including 405 yards passing, I'm sure that won't happen again. Take ALABAMA! 

Auburn vs Oklahoma 8:30 ET

Tigers (+) over Sooners- Oklahoma enters this contest winners of their last nine after starting the season 1-2 with brutal losses to Houston and Ohio State. The Sooners were undefeated (9-0) in the Big-12 while Auburn struggled through a tough SEC schedules going 5-3. Oklahoma averages almost 45 points per game but they will be shocked at the way the Tigers will come at them defensively. Auburn surrendered just 15.6 points per game and they will come up with an answer to Heisman finalist Baker Mayfield and dominate the play. Take AUBURN!

Southern California vs Penn State 5:00 ET

Nittany Lions (+) over Trojans- I love this game and wish that I could be in attendance as these two Big Ten Penn State and Pac-12 USC make a perfect Rose Bowl contest. After shaky starts for both clubs USC starts 1-3 with a 52-6 loss to Alabama and have reeled off nine straight wins going 6-0 ATS the last six. Penn State was at 2-2 with losses to Pittsburgh and Michigan and then won out the last nine going 8-0 ATS last eight. The Lions had just 77 and 51 rushing yards in their last two wins against Michigan State and Wisconsin, but what they do have is a winner at quarterback Trace McSorley who can match USC's San Darnold. It what I expect to be a great game take the points with the Lions. It's PENN STATE!   

Western Michigan vs Wisconsin 1:00 ET

Broncos (+) over Badgers- Let me start by saying that if I didn't have my Bowl Game of the Year winner in the Auburn/Oklahoma game this would be a Best Bet release, so play it accordingly. This match-up reminds me of the famous Oklahoma and Boise State game where the Sooners like the Badgers were 8-point favorites to a team that few respected, therefore they had more to play for and that wins games. Wisconsin is a bit disappointed after their blowing a huge advantage in the Big Ten Championship game against Penn State. Broncos gallop! Take WESTERN MICHIGAN! 

Ohio State vs Clemson 7:00 ET

Buckeyes (-) over Tigers- This is the second trip for both schools to the College Football Playoff with the Buckeyes winning it all two years ago and the Tigers losing to Alabama in the championship game last year. J.T. Barrett missed his chance to play in this game two years ago but a leg injury ended his season and this year his stats having been what people had hoped but the Ohio State ground game pounds out 285 yards a game. Clemson's Deshaun Watson hasn't had the sparkle of last season either throwing 19 interceptions as the Tiger run game was just so-so. Better defense and coaching give the Buckeyes the edge. Take OHIO STATE!

Washington vs Alabama 3:00 ET

One of these over the other- Is this the team that can give the Crimson Tide a challenge? Lets look at common opponents as they have both played USC with Alabama crushing the Trojans hopes and then it was USC that dampened Washington out-look which they managed to survive by defeating over-rated Colorado. I'm not concerned that this game is virtually in Bama's back yard as Atlanta will be filled with Crimson. The Huskies have a quarterback Jake Browning who know how to protect the ball throwing for 42 touchdowns and 3,280 yards. He will be tested by a Tide defense that has 14-non-offensive touchdowns. Take WASHINGTON!

Louisiana State vs Louisville 11:00 ET

Tigers (-) over Cardinals- Well, here we go again playing against the Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson who had over 50 touchdowns combined passing and rushing. The thing that gets me about this contest and no not the early start, (although I think that stinks) is that here is Louisville ranked No. 13 with a 9-3 record an underdog to a 7-4 LSU team that is ranked No. 20. Something seems amiss. It is call defense, and LSU plays it as well as anybody (except the obvious) allowing just 16.4 points per game. The Tigers will not have Leonard Fornette but he's been missing most of the season anyway, but they have found Darrius Guice who ran for 1,249 yards including 285 against Texas A&M. Take LSU!

Michigan vs Florida State 8:00 ET

Seminoles (+) over Wolverines- Everybody was expecting Michigan to work their way into the College Football Playoffs but losing two of their final three down the stretch at Iowa (14-13) and at Ohio State (30-27 OT). Florida State who was one of the big favorites to reach the CFP lost a disappointing three games to Louisville (63-20), N.Carolina (37-35) and Clemson (37-34). The Seminoles do enter on a four game win streak and have one of the nation's top NFL prospects in Dalvin Cook who rushed for over 100 yards in eight of nine games. Still, Take the WOLVERINES! 

South Alabama vs Air Force 5:30 ET

Jaguars (+) over Falcons- There were great expectations for South Alabama after opening their season with a win over Mississippi State but they never won another road game again. Air Force comes flying into Tucson winning their last five including a win 27-20 over No. 19 Boise State to close out the season. The Jaguars did have a win over Mountain West Champion San Diego State 42-24 so they can play at this level. Take SOUTH ALABAMA! 

Nebraska at Tennessee 3:30 ET

Cornhuskers (+) over Volunteers- Both these teams come to Nashville limping into the Music City Bowl. This could have been a match-up of senior quarterbacks with Joshua Dobbs of the Tennessee and Nebraska's Tommy Armstrong but the Huskers QB is out along with leading receiver Jordan Westerkamp. They both will be replaced by seniors that are looking to make a mark in their final collegiate game. Nebraska has set it's mark on an improved defense that now ranks 21st and will cause the Volunteers problems. Take the CORNHUSKERS!

North Carolina vs Stanford 2:00 ET

Tar Heels (+) over Cardinal- Much of the luster has been removed from this Sun Bowl when Christian McCaffrey decided to play 'chicken' and left his mates in the lurch. Stanford took some early hits but did manage to rebound and win six of their final seven including their last five, losing only to Colorado 10-5 after having defeated USC. North Carolina closed their regular season with a home loss to rival N.C. State and is looking to get that bitter taste out of their mouths. Take the TAR HEELS!

Texas Christian vs Georgia 12:00 ET

Horned Frogs (-) over Bulldogs- Both these clubs find themselves in the Liberty Bowl before New Year's Day after disappointing seasons. TCU who was in the Top-10 in each of the past three years could manage just six wins while Georgia after firing Mark Richt won 10 in 2015 and just seven this campaign. The Bulldogs who have had to deal with an exceptional number of injuries at running back will have Nick Chubb and Sony Michel back next season but not so much now. TCU quarterback Sonny Hill came over from Texas A&M leads and offense that scores 31.7 points per game. With the 'number' moving the way it is there is only one side for me. Take TCU!

Oklahoma State at Colorado 9:00 ET

Buffaloes (-) over Cowboys- This is Oklahoma State's 11th straight bowl trip behind Mike Gundy a former Cowboys quarterback. He received good new that quarterback Mason Rudolph and Justin Hill will be returning for a team that ranked 17th nationally in points scored. Colorado returns to bowl action for the first time since 2004. The Buffaloes have won every game that senior quarterback Sefo Liufau has started and completed. They rank 20th nationally in total defense, scorings (20.5 pts),passing defense and have 26 takeaways. Buffs can beat you too many ways. Take COLORADO!

Arkansas vs Virginia Tech 5:30 ET

Hokies (-) over Razorbacks- Do they have the right team favored? That is the question that is repeating in my mind over and over as I have had two people both ask that question to me. This is due to the fact that Arkansas for some reason I am not aware of has made a positive impression on people. Maybe it's the SEC thing over the ACC I'm not sure but the Gobblers are supposed to be favored with a better record and overall defense. The Razorbacks are surrendering over 30 points per game but are also scoring the exact same amount. Gut feeling give me the Hokies. Take VIRGINIA TECH!

South Florida vs South Carolina 11:00 ET

Bulls (-) over Gamecocks- This years version of South Florida football is the best in school history with 10 wins and a bowl game against an SEC opponent. South Carolina under first year head coach Will Muschamp whose defense was 10th nationally with 25 takeaways. The Bulls have not only set school records with 10 wins as well as total offense (6,181 yards), scoring (523 points), touchdowns (71) and rushing yards (3,501). South Florida enters with four straight wins while the Gamecocks were pounded by Clemson 56-7 in their final game. Lay it! Take SOUTH FLORIDA!  

Indiana vs Utah 8:00 ET

Hoosiers (+) over Utes- This one stings a bit as I am 12-5 71% with my 'Highest-Rated' A-Plays (7-1 with GOY) this season and one of the losses was Indiana (+3.5) a 22-27 loser to Nebraska as the Huskers kicked a back-door field goal to cover in the final moments. So, I always have in the back of my mind am I going after this one just to get even...Nah, their's nothing in the back of my mind! There are a few things that I am concerned about, well, to start Utah has dropped their last two (Oregon and Colorado) and the Hoosiers are just so one-dimensional. The Utes are amazing 15-4 in bowl games going 11-1 straight-up and 10-2 ATS in last 12, but most of that was as heavy underdogs. The rolls have been switched. Take INDIANA!

West Virginia vs Miami 5:30 ET

Hurricanes (-) over West Virginia- I know a few 'people' who think this is the best bowl play of the season...I think that I have some better but this one still stands out to 'us.' Miami has had a streaky season both straight-up and against the points. To start with the win their first four games under new coach Frank Rich (from Georgia) then process to lose four-in-a-row and then closed the season with four straight wins again. The thing here is that even though the game is in Orlando (250 mile drive from Miami) why should the Hurricanes be favored over a #16 ranked team when they are un-ranked. Vegas knows more then the coaches and I bet on it! Take MIAMI!

Northwestern vs Pittsburgh 2:00 ET

Wildcats (+) over Panthers- A contrast in styles will be on display when the Pittsburgh Panthers bring their 10th ranked scoring offense (42.3 points per game) faces The Northwestern Wildcats No. 23 ranked scoring defense. The Panthers scored 76 in their season finale against Syracuse and they of course are led by James Conner who scored 20 touchdowns while the Wildcats bring junior Justin Jackson who had a Big Ten leading 1,300 yards and 12 Td's rushing. At Yankee Stadium I'll side with the defense. Take NORTHWESTERN!

Baylor vs Boise State 10:15 ET

Bears (+) over Broncos- 'How about them Bears'...the started the season 6-0 and were ranked in the Top-10 and then the roof fell in. They closed the season with six straight losses and not a 'cover' among them. Baylor still have the fifth ranked offense nationally averaging 523 yards including 250 yards rushing. Interim coach Jim Grobe will gladly go back in retirement after this season one fill with out the field and on the field issues. Broncos a bit of a downer but at 10-2 have had trouble with turnovers. Both clubs were 3-8 ATS this season so I'll stick with the points. Take BAYLOR!

Minnesota vs Washington State 7:00 ET

Gophers (+) over Cougars- A lot of weird things happen during the bowl season as coaches leave for other jobs, players 'rest' to prepare for the draft, players get suspended and other boycott their own games. The later of it all has affected this match-up as Minnesota has had 10 player suspended and another 'Group-of-10' were not going to play in protest. (No, not the Trump election) Washington State seems to start and close their seasons on the same note and it is a sour one. After a poor start and a great run the Cougars were netted and dropped their final two. It would appear that Washington State's strength (passing) is Minnesota's weakness (pass defense). We've seen it time and again that the team that enters a bowl game short-handed pulls off the win. Take the GOPHERS! 

Wake Forest vs Temple 3:30 ET

Owls (-) over Demon Deacons- I don't think the Owls will need a look at the Demon Deacons game plan to win this contest. I am aware Temple has 'covered' 12 straight since their opening 29-13 loss to Army. They finished with the ACC Championship pounding Navy 38-10 and have won their last six straight-up. Wake Forest comes to Annapolis losers of three straight while Temple and I would feel more comfortable taking the points in this situation, the Owls believe that they have already won a championship on this field three weeks ago. Take WAKE FOREST!

Maryland vs. Boston College 2:30 ET

Eagles (+) over Terrapins- Both clubs are more then happy to be playing in a bowl games after posting three wins each last season. Former ACC foes both evened out at 6-6 with Maryland defeating Rutgers in their final game to become bowl eligible. Maryland will struggle to move the ball on the ground against the Eagles No. 7 ranked rush defense in the country. Boston College is 8-3 all-time against Maryland and the beat will go on here. Take the EAGLES!

Hawaii vs Middle Tennessee State 8:00 ET

Rainbows Warriors (+) over Blue Raiders- This will be Hawaii's 14 game of the year and they didn't even playing a conference championship game and they will be looking to get to an even .500. Mid Tennessee State lost their starting quarterback in November but responded with two huge wins since the injury to Brent Stockstill scoring 115 points in their final two game. Hawaii has managed to win their final two games as well and will have the added advantage of actually playing this game at home as an underdog. Honolulu is a long way from Tennessee and I;m sure many of the Blue Raiders will be distracted. Take HAWAII!  

Louisiana Tech vs. Navy 1:30 ET

Midshipman (+) over Bulldogs- This game has had a dramatic change since the match-up was agreed upon. This contest opened with the Navy a small favorite and now Louisiana Tech have moved to a full touchdown due to injuries to the Midshipman's key personnel as quarterback Will North and their top running back are out for the finale. Both clubs enter this fray off two losses and Navy's of course hurt most in the AAC Championship and the loss for the first time in 14 years to Army. Usually, if I saw an unranked team favored (like this game) over a ranked team (#24 Navy) I would think something was up and I might lay the points...but, not here. Take NAVY! 

Brigham Young vs Wyoming 9:00 ET

Cougars (-) over Cowboys- Now, explain this to me...please! How does the odds makers figure to be a double-digit favorite when they will be starting a 'new' quarterback as 5th year senior Taysom Hill had a season ending knee injury in their final game. I saw Wyoming up close and personal as they scored 66 points against UNLV with Brian Hill running wild and quarterback Josh Allen was amazing, they problem is that the Rebels scored 69 points and won the game in overtimes. This is a step-up in class for the Cowboys as BYU is playing in their 12th straight Bowl game last winning here in 2012. Lay it! Take the COUGARS!

Memphis vs Western Kentucky 7:00 ET

Tigers (+) over Hilltoppers- When I first saw this match-up I was drawn toward Western Kentucky game time drew closer the price continued tor rise to the points that I believe that there is too great an attraction for the Hilltoppers. Of course W. KY averages over 45 points per contest and have won seven straight including the C-USA Championship defeating Louisiana Tech 58-44. Memphis who won three of their final four including a win over Houston 48-44 in their last game average almost 40 points themselves. With their head coach gone and their defensive co-ordinator now running the show the 'Toppers' drop a notch. Take MEMPHIS!  

Las Vegas Bowl 3:30 ET

Houston vs. San Diego State

Aztecs (+) over Cougars- The popular side here will without a doubt be the Houston Cougars coming out of the AAC they had impressive wins over Oklahoma 33-23 and Louisville who they routed 36-10 and the 'public' will long remember wins like that. San Diego State cooled-off after a 9-1 start dropping 2-of-3 going 0-3 ATS. Everyone is aware of the coaching change at Houston as Tom Herman left for Texas and Major Applewhite got the nod with interim coach Todd Orlando still on the staff. The Aztecs have Donnel Pumphrey (6,290) on the cusp of passing Ron Dayne the All-time rushing leader and with side kick Rashaad Penny (995 rushing yards) and will surprise the Cougars with their speed. Take SAN DIEGO STATE! 

Texas-San Antonio at New Mexico 2:00 ET

Roadrunners (+) over Lobos- The Lobo's will be making their second straight and fourth overall appearance is the New Mexico Bowl but they are just 1-2 in Albuquerque and 3-8-1 in bowl games overall. San Antonio is making their first ever bowl appearance and are guided by first-year coach Frank Wilson who was an assistant in the SEC for 11 seasons and his 'big game' experience will be a settling factor. Take TEXAS-SAN ANTONIO! 

Navy vs. Army 3:00

Black Knights (+) over Midshipmen- This most revered rivalry among them all was dead even 15 years ago but the Navy has won 14 straight in this series and once again are favored, but not by the huge 'price' we are accustomed to seeing. That is because for the first time in over a decade the Army actually has a legitimate chance of winning the game. Navy sophomore quarterback Zach Abey will make his first career start replacing Will Worth and senior running back Toneo Gullu as they both suffered season ending injuries against Temple in the AAC Championship game last week. Both teams are headed to bowls and with the Air Force already holding the Commander-in-Chief Trophy so this game isn't for military bragging rightS beyond this! Take ARMY!

Penn State vs Wisconsin 8:00 ET

Nittany Lions (+) over Badgers- The story lines surrounding this game has more to do with other teams then the two that are battling for the Big-Ten Championship. Will it be Michigan, Ohio State, Washington, Clemson, Colorado or even one of these two is still up in the air. Penn State who was blown-out by Michigan turned it around since going 8-0 and 7-1 ATS. The Lions have a balanced offense that wears down defense as the average 23 second half points. State has won four of the last five and will do it again here. Take PENN STATE! 

Clemson vs Virginia Tech 8:00 ET

Hokies (+) over Tigers- For Clemson this is probably a 'play-in' game for the college Football Playoff and a win over Virginia Tech in the ACC Championship game would get them in. (Even if it is a 1-point victory). The Hokie had had a great season if you consider the pre-season predictions and are used to playing in big games. Kind of difficult to believe that a team that lost to Syracuse and Georgia Tech is in their conference championship but the Hokies with make the most of this opportunity. Take VIRGINIA TECH!

San Diego State at Wyoming 7:45 ET

Aztecs (-) over Cowboys- I am labeling this my 'bing-bang-boom-bash game.' It's simple and it figures. Three weeks ago 'we' posted UNLV over Wyoming and they WON 69-66, they next week 'we' took Wyoming (+9) and the WON 34-33 over these same Aztecs and then last week 'we' took New Mexico (+3) and they beat Wyoming 56-35. So. Now we have a rematch with San Diego State at Wyoming and the 'public and sharps' are take the home club (Cowboys) with points. NAH...Take SAN DIEGO STATE!

Oklahoma State at Oklahoma 12:30 ET

Sooners (-) over Cowboys- I mean I think this 'number' looks a tad high. Don't you? The Big-12 Championship is at stake so this is actually a conference Championship game. Oklahoma took two bad losses early to Houston and Ohio State but came back to go undefeated in Big-12 action. Last season the Cowboys were in position to get to the Final-4 and laid an egg at home and lost 58-23. History repeats itself here and the Sooners' wagon rolls. Take OKLAHOMA! 

Temple at Navy 12:00 ET

Owls (+) over Midshipman- As they say...'something has got to give.' The Navy averages 342 yards on the ground and score 41.7 points per contest while Temple has a stop unit allowing only 128 yards rushing and led the AAC in scoring defense 17.8 points and total defense 273.4 yards. So, this contest will be about 'strength versus strength.' although the Owls have lost three times they have 10-straight spread covers. With the Middies playing at home and with an overall better record I am surprised that they are only favored by a field goal. Defense WINS championships...take TEMPLE!  

Colorado vs. Washington 9:00 ET

Buffaloes (+) over Huskies- There is a lot of noise about teams winning or not winning their conference championship to qualify for the CFP Final-4 and in this battle if Washington wins they are in and if Colorado wins they will probably make it to the Rose Bowl. The Huskies have been led by a defense that leads the Pac-12 in takeaways with a plus-18 and quarterback Jake Browning who has 40 touchdown passes and an efficiency rating of 181.6. Their defense also led the conference in scoring defense allowing just 17.8 points per game. Colorado lost twice and in both contests when quarterback their senior quarterback Sefo Liufau was out or removed in the third quarter because of injury. The Buffaloes led the conference in total yards surrendered (323.8) and pass defense (187.8 yards). In a tough tight battle...take COLORADO! 

Wyoming at New Mexico 10:15 ET

Lobos (+) over Cowboys- We have had great success both on and against the Cowboys in recent weeks winning against with UNLV and with them last week an outright win over San Diego State. This week they travel to Albuquerque to face New Mexico who are 4-1 at home this season while Wyoming is 2-3 on the road. The Lobos are averaging 42.2 points at home while the Cowboys surrender 39.8 points away from home. Brian Hill is all conference for the Cowboys but he will be countered by Tyrone Owens who averages 8.1 yards per attempt and has over a 1,000 on the season. Bing-bang-boom! Take NEW MEXICO!  

Utah at Colorado 7:30 ET

Buffaloes (-) over Utes- After playing against the Utes last week and winning with Oregon I expected to come-back with them this week as an underdog at Colorado. There is one problem I did not expect...I did not expect the Buffaloes to be double-digit favorites considering each of the five Pac-12 meetings between these two have been decided by one possession. Colorado can lock up their first division title since 2005 when they were part of the Big-12. After their heartbreaking last second loss to the Ducks Utah just can't muster enough to play with the Buffs who have won five straight. Colorado has the Pac-12 Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week and they continue today. Take the BUFFALOES!  

Oregon at Oregon State 4:00 ET

Beavers (+) over Ducks- it has been a long time since the 'Civil War' has been played by two sub-.500 clubs. Both Oregon and State are 2-6 in the Pac-12 and coming off victories. The Ducks took down Utah 34-33 last week and knocked the Utes out of conference title contention while the Beavers ended a five-game losing streak against lowly Arizona 42-17. It has been a disappointing season to say the least for Oregon and even a win here won't help. Take OREGON STATE BEAVERS!

Navy at Southern Methodist 3:30 ET

Mustangs (+) over Midshipman- Navy enters this contest already having clinched a spot in the ACC Championship game but the sire has yet to be determined. A win for the 'Middies' would help secure the game being played at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. SMU with a win would become bowl eligible fort he first time in five years. The Midshipman have won the last six meetings but the Mustangs have enough offense to keep the Navy at bay. (see how I did that). Take the MUSTANGS!

West Virginia at Iowa State 3:30 ET

Cyclones (+) over Mountaineers- West Virginia had their dreams dashed last week when they receive a dose of reality as Oklahoma handed them a 56-28 pounding. The Mountaineers have to be letdown as their New Year's Day bowl hope were handed this dreadful loss. Iowa State came to life against Texas Tech last week (1 of our 3 winners) as they set school records for conference points (56), points in a quarter (31) as they posted their first 600 yard game in eight years. Take IOWA STATE! 

Texas Christian at Texas 3:30 ET

Horned Frogs (+) over Longhorns- Going 16-20 over a three year period will not cut it at Texas for Charlie Strong as this is surely his last game as coach of the Longhorns. A number of player say they may stand down in support of their coach but if they only played better on the field. TCU is off their worst home loss in Gary Patterson's 17 year career. Too distraction in Austin for the 'Horns to succeed and the true of the matter is that the coaching advantage here goes to TCU and it isn't even close. Take the HORNED FROGS!

Washington at Washington State 3:30 ET

Cougars (+) over Huskies- This is the first time in 15 years that these two are meeting with both clubs ranked as No. 5 Washington is still fighting for the Pac-12 and possible national title. Chris Peterson has the Huskies in position in his third season at the helm. The Cougars started slowly (as usual) losing their first two and then reeled off eight straight win until last week losing a Colorado 38-24. Coming home with the dreams of upsetting the intra-state rival would cap what has been a successful season. Take WASHINGTON STATE! 

Arkansas at Missouri 2:30 ET

Tigers (+) over Razorbacks- I know 'we' got sucker-punched with Missouri last week as they just were not able to stop Tennessee's offense. Since head coach Barry Odom has gone to calling his own plays the Tigers offense has become balanced and formidable. Last week they amassed over 300 yards both rushing and passing and 740 total yards. Arkansas had their way against Mississippi State last week but has failed many times because they don't make many stops on defense. Arkansas has not won at Missouri since 1944 and they won't win here. Take MISSOURI!

Louisiana State at Texas A&M 7:30 ET

Aggies (+) over Tigers- Their is one thing Texas A&M hasn't had since jointing the SEC in 2012 and that is a win ore a'cover' for that matter against LSU. The Tigers have had a roller coaster season losing Les Miles as coach and having Leonard Fourette hobbled a good portion of the time. LSU's offense is lacking but their defense is the only one in the FBS to hold each of their opponents to 21 or fewer points in every game this season. and A&M's defense isn't the best but they can score (35 pts per) and the 12th Man will help. Take the AGGIES!

Southern California at UCLA 10:30 ET

Bruins (+) over Trojans- Now that the pressure is off USC as they crushed Washington as my Pac-12 game of the Year 26-13 (as a 8-point dog) they think that I will give them a pass this week against their cross-town rivals...nope can't do it! Even though UCLA is among the worst in rushing (127 out of 128) this is one of those games (yes, one of those games) where you do throw out their records. But, there are plenty of trends on the Bruins sideline, they are 10-2 ATS at the Rose Bowl when the Trojans enter after a win and any team that defeats a 9-0 or better team is 8-24 ATS the following week. Because if you did you could never play the Bruins. But, I will hold me nose and take UCLA!   

Stanford at California 2:30 ET

Golden Bears (+) over Cardinal- Okay, 'The Game' just doesn't have the same luster on it this season as it has had in the past but don't tell that to anyone playing for either of these two schools or any of their alumni for that matter. Stanford has been very disappointing their Heisman candidate Christian McCaffery was injured and their defense just couldn't pick up the slack. I've seen California play and although they can move the ball I am still waiting to see someone on defense to make a tackle. Stanford has won and covered the last four but is just 3-11 ATS after playing Oregon including 1-7 ATS after a win. This is a game everyone will be ready to play. Take CALIFORNIA! 

San Diego State at Wyoming 3:30 ET

Cowboys (+) over Aztecs- At 9-1 on the season ans 6-0 in their division of the Mountain West they need only defeat Colorado State at home next week, while the Cowboys at 5-1 have a shot in their side. Wyoming got ambushed by UNLV in Las Vegas last week as they week gazing ahead to this encounter. Their will be two great running backs on display in San Diego State's Donnel Pumphrey 1,779 yards and needs just 347 to get to No.1 all-time, while the Cowboys have Brian Hill who is third in the nation with 1,417 yards. Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen might be the difference. Take COWBOYS!  

Texas Tech at Iowa State 3:30 ET

Cyclones (+) over Red Raiders- Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury in beginning to remind me of that NBA coach Mike D'Antoni that sees only one-side of the court or field. The Red Raiders lead the nation in passing offense with 473.1 yards per game but their defense allows 42.1 points per game and the result is four wins in 10 tries. Iowa State has fallen back this season as they had to rally from an 11-point deficit to win their first Big-12 game of the season and their only other win was against San Jose State. It just is a bad spot for the Red Raiders. Take IOWA STATE!    

Oregon at Utah 2:00 ET

Ducks (+) over Utes- “Ya know, when a team is saying that they are not looking ahead”, it means that they are looking ahead and the Utes will be thinking about next weeks match-up against Pac-12 leader Colorado. Oregon has fallen big time surrendering over 43 points a game and have only three wins in 10 contests. Utah won last seasons meetings 62-20 but the Ducks are 20-9 in the all-time series and 7-1 as dogs of 3 or more points in conference. They know that they aren't going to a bowl but Oregon does average 37.1 points and can use their speed to cause the Utes fits! Take OREGON!  

Memphis at Cincinnati 8:00 ET

Bearcats (+) over Tigers- Over the years of sports handicapping there has always been that one school, it didn't matter if it was football or basketball that just didn't win when they were supposed to. I don't mean as heavy favorites I just mean they were in a great spot and they always seem to fail and that institution is Cincinnati. Now, they are struggling big time with head coach Tommy Tuberville so stressed he's screaming back at spectators. Memphis is off a first-an-goal disappointment last week against South Florida and are out of any ACC (3-3) awards. The Tigers have lost three-of-four while Bearcats haven't scored a touchdown in 10 quarters. Tonight they will! Take CINCINNATI!

Louisville at Houston 8:00 ET

Cougars (+) over Cardinals- Since their loss to Clemson the first weekend in October Louisville knew they had to be perfect the rest of the way and so far they have been, reeling off five straight wins. Houston had such promise as they opened the season with a win over Oklahoma and stayed unbeaten (5-0) until they were sunk at Navy 46-40 and then two weeks later by SMU and are 0-6 ATS since October 1. The Cardinals are explosive but Houston has the offensive fire-power to counter Louisville and are confident enough after pulling of last season's upset 34-31. This time with the points at home! Take HOUSTON!

Southern California at Washington 7:30 ET

Trojans (+) over Huskies- Everyone is so enamored with the Huskies as Washington has moved into the big picture at No. 4 and will be playing their most formidable foe to date in the young Trojans. Washington has had the better off most of their opponents but their schedule has been questioned and for good reason. There in no doubt the Huskies have talent and 3rd year head coach Chris Peterson who has so much success at Boise State. USC started against Alabama lost badly and now after five straight wins that loss with the Tide's dominate season it doesn't look as bad. This game is huge for Washington but the Trojans who lead the series 51-29-4 can play here. Take SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA!  

LSU at Arkansas 7:00 ET

Tigers (-) over Razorbacks- What a disappointment the Tigers were last week failing to score against Alabama in their 10-0 defeat while Arkansas was routing ranked Florida. LSU averaged 41.7 points their last three games under interim coach Ed Orgeron in wins over Missouri, Southern Miss and Mississippi but were shut down by the fierce Alabama defense. LSU is 7-2 ATS after a shutout loss and the Razorbacks are 1-6 ATS after Florida. Now, here we have Arkansas with a better record at home getting a generous points and I believe the odd-maker knows what he is doing. The Razorbacks can be beaten badly as the Auburn final 56-3 will indicate. Take LSU! 

Stanford at Oregon 4:00 ET

Ducks (+) over Cardinal- Oh, 'how the mighty have fallen.' Both Stanford and Oregon have had disappointing season's as Oregon is guaranteed their first losing Pac-12 season since 2006 and Stanford is 4-3 in conference play but is bowl eligible with six wins. Cardinal Christian McCaffery's Heisman run came to a halt early as injuries slowed the all-purpose back who still ranks 4th nationally with 190 yards per game. An oddity surrounding this contest is that both clubs are an identical 60-17 in their last 77 games. Stanford has dropped 11 of their last 14 against Oregon and six of seven in Eugene. Take the DUCKS!  

Vanderbilt at Missouri 3:30 ET

Tigers (-) over Commodores- I have seen Missouri and they are as bad as their (2-7, 0-5) record indicates and many doubt they will win a SEC game this season. First year coach Barry Odom. If that is the case why are they favored against a much improved Vandy squad that is off a physical contest against Auburn. The Commodores offense doesn't do much as the Tigers have a 487 yards per game to 312 offensive per game advantage. It's time for Missouri to post a conference win here! Take MISSOURI! 

Wyoming at Las Vegas NV 3:30 ET

Rebels (+) over Cowboys- The Mountain West doesn't have much so it hasn't been that difficult for Wyoming to rise to the top of the Mountain Division ahead of Boise State who they upset two weeks ago 30-28. The Cowboys enter Las Vegas on a five game winning streak while the Rebels have dropped their last two and looked horrible in both losses to Colorado State and San Jose State two weeks ago. With an extra week to prepare and I'm sure the Vegas distraction will be something the Cowboys with enjoy or be thinking about. Take UNLV!  

Penn State at Indiana 12:00 ET

Hoosiers (+) over Nittany Lions- Penn State is making a move nationally and it all started with their shocking upset win over Ohio State scoring 100 points in their two games since. Indiana on the other hand has headed in the opposite direction against the points failing to 'cover' in three of their last four. The Lions who have won and covered their last five lead the series winning 18 of the 19 meetings. Behind Richard Lagow who is second in the Big-10 in passing yards the Hoosiers can surprise here. Take INDIANA!  

South Carolina at Florida 12:00 ET

Gators (-) over Gamecocks- The storyline here for the most part will be the return of South Carolina coach Will Muschamp for led Florida from 2011-14 as his club has won their lsat three. The Gators are off a beating at Arkansas 31-10 but a still in the driver's seat in the SEC East needing a win here and a Tennessee loss to Kentucky. The Gamecocks finally showed some offense with 400 yards of offense against lowly Missouri but will be facing one of the tougher SEC defenses. Florida leads the series 25-8-3 including a win last year. Take the GATORS!

Tulsa at Navy 12:00 ET

Golden Hurricane (+) over Midshipman- Tulsa opened this contest a same favorite but the 'public' has moved Navy to the favorite as they both are fighting for the AAC West Division as they are both 4-1 in conference play. The Midshipman are in a bad spot as they are off an emotional a 28-27 outright win over Notre Dame as a touchdown or better underdog. Last season the one sided Tulsa offense managed only 78 yards rushing while the Navy ran for 469 on the ground. But, this season the Hurricane are better balanced as D'Angelo Brewer has 983 yards rushing and quarterback Dane Evanshas 10, 575 career passing yards. I difference in styles but the advanatge goes to Tulsa. Take the GOLDEN HURRICANE!

Utah at Arizona State 9:30 ET

Sun Devils (+) over Utes- Two clubs moving in opposite direction clash in Tempe as Utah fights for a possible spot in the Pac-12 championship game while Arizona has dropped three straight and four of their last five. The Utes have done it for the most part on defense as they are tied nationally with 23 takeaways. The Sun Devils have dominated this series holding a 20-7 advantage but Utah did win last years encounter 34-18 to break an 11-game losing streak to the Sun Devils. Take ARIZONA STATE!

Toledo at Northern Illinois 8:00 ET

Huskies (+) over Rockets- The Huskies started the season 0-4 before the return of a number of key personnel and have gone 3-2 against conference opponents. Toledo has a high powered offense that averages 553 yards per game ranking 4 on offense but they have allowed over 26 points per road contest. Northern Illinois has won the last six meetings and still remain bowl eligible with a win here. Expect a great effort until the final gun from the home team. Take NORTHERN ILLINOIS!

Utah State at Wyoming 10:15 ET

Aggies (+) over Cowboys- Wyoming who has won their last four are coming off one of the biggest upsets in recent memory as they upended Boise State on a late safety 30-28 as a 15-point home dog. There is no doubt Utah State is not the same caliber of teams in recent past and although they are 0-3 on the road they catch the Cowboys sleeping in the saddle. After that huge win they may have troubles getting ready for the lowly 3-5 Aggies. Take UTAH STATE!

Nebraska at Ohio State 8:00 ET

Buckeyes (-) over Cornhuskers- Tell me this doesn't look out of whack. A No. 6 ranked 6-1 team is this huge a favorite over the No. 10 ranked 6-1 team Nebraska and it is a conference game to boot. After a quick start Ohio State has hit a lull their past three game having to go overtime to defeat Wisconsin, losing at Penn State and then barely beating Northwestern at home last week. Nebraska also went overtime against Wisconsin but lost last week to the Badgers after overcoming a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter. The difference here with be with the quarterbacks as the Cornhuskers Tommy Armstrong has 11 TD passes and 7 Int's while the Buckeyes J.T. Barrett who has 17 TD passes and only 4 Int's. Add the fact that Ohio State has a major advantage in coaching with Urban Meyer opposed to Nebraska Mike Riley who is in over his head with this one. Take OHIO STATE!

Alabama at L.S.U. 8:00 ET

Tigers (+) over Crimson Tide- Without a doubt Alabama has been the most dominating team in college football this season winning by and average of 29-points per game. It isn't the Tide offense that has set everyone on their heels it's their defense which has scored an amazing 12 non-offensive touchdowns (nine on defense and three on punt returns). Les Miles is gone and interim coach Ed Orgeron is 3-0 for LSU who has lost their last five meetings against Alabama who holds a 50-25-2 series advantage. The Tigers have look better and have had an extra week to prepare for this SEC showdown. LSU is 15-4 when Fournette rushes for 100 yards and they are 5-0 when he hits 200. The last time they met he had 31 yards on 19 carries. I expect more for him on Saturday. Take LOUISIANA STATE! 

Florida State at N. C. State 7:00 ET

Wolfpack (+) over Seminoles- Much of the Florida football nation is in shock that their Seminoles has already lost three games this season as they were projected to be one of the Final 4. Last Saturday Florida State left it all on the field as they fell to Clemson 37-34 and this week as they face a N.C. State club that has lost three straight and hasn't won since defeating Notre Dame 10-3 in a hurricane. The Seminoles are disappointed off their third loss and are just 1-4 ATS after Clemson and just 2-10 ATS in the last 12 in their series. The Wolfpack are 4-1 ATS in the second of back-to-back home games and get the nod here. Take NORTH CAROLINA STATE!   

Oklahoma State at Kansas State 3:30 ET

Wildcats (-) over Cowboys- Since losing to Baylor in September Oklahoma State has put together four straight win including a victory over previously undefeated West Virginia 37-20 as a 3-point underdog last Saturday. Kansas State won but did not cover last week and coach Bill Snyder is 24-10-1 ATS at home after an ATS loss. Note that Kansas State is 9-1 ATS in the last 10 at home in this series. The Wildcats have won six straight at home while Oklahoma State is winless (0-2) on the road. Take KANSA STATE!

T.C.U. at Baylor 3:30 ET

Horned Frogs (+) over Bears- Baylor was very disappointed last week when the learned that Texas was my Big-12 Game of the Year and they realized early their attempts were fruitless losing OUTRIGHT 35-34. Texas Christian on the other hand has dropped their last two to West Virginia and Texas Tech and has failed to 'cover' anything is the last five weeks losing 3-of-4. The Bears control their own destiny in the Big-12 if they can win out but teams in that position usually struggle. Many believe Baylor will bounce back after having their first defeat inflicted upon them but the realization that any chance of making the final four is gone their spirits may not be what is should be as teams with their first loss after six games are just 2-15 ATS if favored in conference play. Clemson at Florida State 8:00 ET

Seminoles (+) over Tigers- For all 'intense and purposes' this game will decide the ACC Atlantic Division as it has for the last seven years. Florida State enters this contest flawed as they have already been beaten twice by Louisville and North Carolina while No.2 Clemson is 7-0 and is lead by DeShaun Watson who had 404 totals yards against the Seminoles in last year's 23-13 home win. The home team has won 12 of the last 14 games in the series. Take FLORIDA STATE! 

Auburn at Mississippi 7:15 ET

Rebels (+) over Tigers- Boy, I hope 'we' are not being set-up here as it look too good to be true for me. Last week 'we' posted Auburn 56-3 as my 'Major Shocker' running for 697 yards and setting the SEC rushing yardage record for a single game. Mississippi meanwhile, lost their second straight and are now looking for their second SEC win. The Tigers have had the edge series wise going 10-3 at Ole Miss and 29-11 overall. Don't let that scare you as the will have trouble defensing Kelly's air strikes. Take MISSISSIPPI!

Arizona State at Oregon 5:00 ET

Ducks (-) over Sun Devils- Oregon is in the mist of a five-game losing steak their longest in 20 years. The best thing they have going for themselves (aside from the embarrassment) is that they have defeated the Sun Devils nine straight times. In years past no one really complained about the porous Oregon defense but now that the are surrendering 50 points a game (in the last five losses) people are still saying 'we need to score more points' and score more points they will this after noon. Take OREGON!  

Texas Tech at Texas Christian 3:30 ET

Horned Frogs (-) over Red Raiders- I must admit I was surprised at the ease West Virginia dispatched (34-10) TCU Saturday but more then pleased when Texas Tech covered against Oklahoma helping us to our huge winning Saturday. This is a bad spot for the Red Raiders coming off a national TV effort and with Texas on deck at home. The Horned Frogs have dropped three straight against the number with only a one-point win over Kansas to show for it. The last time Tech was in Fort Worth TCU hung 82 on them. I don't expect that but I do expect a maximum effort and an easy victory. Take TEXAS CHRISTIAN!  

Baylor at Texas 3:30 ET

Longhorns (+) over Bears- No. 6 Baylor bring their 6-0, 3-0 unbeaten record into Austin to play the struggling Longhorns who are off a loss at Kansas State. The Bears are well rested having had a week off and having played Kansas and Iowa State in their previous two games. Texas has already had some battles defeating Notre Dame 50-47 in the opener and took Oklahoma down to the final gun 45-40. I really do question Baylor's toughness as their easy schedule hasn't proved much. Take TEXAS!   

Duke at Georgia Tech 12 Noon ET

Yellow Jackets (-) over Blue Devils- Upon further review I learned how well the Blue Devils have played against the triple-option. Duke has already defeated Georgia Tech and their option the last two seasons and dispatched the Army earlier this month. The Yellow Jackets have rushed for 241 or more yards in five of their last six games and are looking to keep the Blue Devils winless (0-3) in the ACC. Two excellent coaches will try and out-wit each other but the brute force of the Jackets powerful running game will be the difference. Take GEORGIA TECH!

Navy at South Florida 7:00 ET

Bulls (-) over Midshipmen- This I believe is one of those 'come-get-me' games as the Navy sailing into Tampa 5-1 overall and 4-0 in the American Athletic Conference and the South Florida Bulls I will speak about now. The Bulls are 103rd in the nation in total defense while Navy has one of the best offensives in the country including 100th in rushing defense and the Midshipmen have Will North who has rushed for 316 against Houston and Memphis. Now, you say 'hey, I'll take the Middies with the points...DONT! This one is too easy and as I said a 'Come-get-me.' Take SOUTH FLORIDA!

California at Southern California 10:30 ET

Trojans (-) over Golden Bears- A little difficult to understand why the line on this game is so high when you consider that they both have the same 4-3 record and this is a Pac-12 conference game. California has played two straight overtime games and now they must prepare on a short week. Quarterbacking will be the key and Cal's Davis Webb leading the nation in pass attempts while USC's Sam Darnold has 11 touchdown passes and only one INT since taking over completing 100 of 150 passing attempts. The line tells me that the USC defense which has allowed less then 20 points in their last three games will be the difference. Take USC!

Ohio State at Penn State 8:00 ET

Nittany Lions (+) over Buckeyes- Boy, I hate playing against Urban Meyer who remains undefeated with the Buckeyes in the Big Ten road winning their last 20. Penn State can counter with 10 wins in their last 11 home games but that won't mean much if they don't play better against the run where they have allowed 800 rushing by three 'Big Five' schools Michigan, Pittsburgh and Minnesota. Playbook tells me undefeated double-digit favorites from game six on out are 10-27 ATS. Play the offs and take the points. Take PENN STATE!   

Oklahoma at Texas Tech 8:00 ET

Red Raiders (+) over Sooners- Interesting storyline here as Oklahoma start quarterback Baker Mayfield will return to Lubbock to play for the first time since transferring for Texas Tech to Oklahoma. The Sooners opened the season with the toughest schedule in the nation losing to both Houston and Ohio State. The Red Raiders were held to 17 points at home last week by West Virginia as they were looking ahead to this encounter and it snapped a NCAA record nine straight home game scoring at least 50 points. Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury said after Saturday's defeat 'that is the worst I've ever seen at Texas Tech.' They atone here. Take the RED RAIDERS!

Arkansas at Auburn 6:00 ET

Tigers (-) over Razorbacks- Man, oh man! If this game doesn't stink to high heaven I don't know what does. I mean Arkansas just came over a through beating of Mississippi 34-30 as a 9-point underdog. The Razorbacks running back Rawleigh Williams III leads the SEC in rushing while quarterback Austin Allen leads the conference in passing yards and scoring passes. Yet, they are a HUGE underdog. Off a bye week Auburn has won three straight while not allowing a rushing touchdown. The Tigers are laying in-wait and will claw the pigs. Take AUBURN!  

Utah at U.C.L.A. 4:00 ET

Bruins (+) over Utes- Wow, has the odds-makers opinion dropped that much on UCLA or is the 'public' that is driving this number. Well, I guess a 3-4 record will do that! Utah has had some internal difficulties as senior running back Joe Williams quit two games into the season but has returned and is running better then ever. The Bruins will have the services of quarterback Josh Rosen who missed last week's 27-21 loss at 400 yards. Take the BRUINS!

West Virginia was ambushed by TCU last season 40-10 and looks to even the score at home this time around as they have won 10 of 11 since. Horned Frog coach has had two weeks to get his defense ready as had last week off an he is 18-8 straight-up and 19-6-1 ATS with rest and they also hold a 3-2 series edge. Take TEXAS CHRISTIAN!
