Starting pitchers with winning records usually do not have a strong disadvantage at home versus on the road. Yet that’s been an ongoing issue with Rockies pitcher German Marquez. He has not won a home start since May 31st and has given up tweet-six runs his last four home starts. Off of two prime underdog wins including a +175 game against the Yankees has shifted Marquez’s issue. Grab the Dodgers as they’re motivated to return home for a three-series home stand. 

One of the hottest teams in baseball at the plate has been the Toronto Blue Jays. Over their last four games they’ve scored a whopping thirty-five runs. Wednesday a turn around of thirteen hours against the Royals is in play for a potential road sweep for the Blue Jays. An underlying carry over factor from Tuesday’s matchup was that the Royals outhit the Blue Jays 11-10. Look for the Royals to transfer that over to runs and for the Blue Jays to finally cool off. The Atlanta Braves offensive surge came back Tuesday to the tune of eleven runs. They’ll aim to win their road series against the Nationals in an early Wednesday matchup. In order to get the job done the Braves will need pitcher Mike Soroka to regain form. He did not make it through five innings his last start. He’s been hit hard in the month of July but look for Soroka to get the run support he needs. Anibal Sanchez does not escape this start and gets his first loss since May 10th. 

An unheralded diamond matchup Tuesday will happen in the AL between the Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers. This is the back end of a home-away series that was played last week in Seattle. Texas now gets a chance to avenge a loss against Mike Leake in what was a 5-3 Mariners victory. Leake was not flawless as he was in a complete game victory over the Angels but kept the Rangers to three runs. This time look for the Mariners to get even more run support for Leake as the Rangers strong home record falters Tuesday. 

Saturday the Arizona Diamondbacks offense showcased the potency it did on extended road trips against the Phillies, Nationals, and Blue Jays. An early time slot for Sunday’s matchup presents value on the over for consecutive games against the Marlins. A rise in hits from Sunday’s Diamondbacks starter Robbie Ray has occurred his last two starts. In fact he has given up five total home runs in that span.  Expect Ray’s woes to continue as well as the Diamondbacks hot bats to give value on the over. 

The Phillies have been blown out in consecutive games by their division foes in the Atlanta Braves. The disparity in the losses has featured twenty-four Atlanta runs to the Phillies nine. Yesterday’s loss also sealed the fact that Atlanta has won three straight series over the Phillies. Yet look for the Phillies Aaron Nola to replicate his dazzling July 2nd outing against the Braves. Grab Philadelphia.

The Astros could not stop the Cardinals momentum Friday as their win streak extended to six games. Overall the Cardinals have now won fifteen of their last twenty games to take over the lead in the NL Central. Look for that to be short-lived Saturday as the Astros will be led by dominant ace Gerrit Cole. Cole has not lost a start since May 22nd and has thrown double-digit strikeouts in three straight games. Grab the Astros.

The Royals and Indians meet for the second time this week for a new series Thursday. Suddenly the Royals have won seven of their last nine games, including consecutive victories over the Atlanta Braves. Attempting to redeem himself from a horrible debut as a Royal against the Indians will be pitcher Mike Montgomery. Montgomery lasted just two innings in last week’s start giving up six runs. As hot as the Indians have been look for the confidence of the home underdog to deliver. Grab Kansas City. 

The highest combined run total of Wednesday’s games came between the St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates. A 14-8 outburst featured five home runs from the St. Louis Cardinals. Thirteen of those runs came in the first four innings for the Cardinals. With an early start Thursday one would expect Joe Musgrove and Miles Mikolas to have issues as well. Instead grab the value on the under here as both teams cool off just enough at the plate. 

Tuesday the Marlins ended a four-game losing streak as they defeated the Chicago White Sox 5-1. Wednesday they find themselves in a favorable position by oddsmakers as slight underdogs. This is likely due to Chicago’s Wednesday starter Reynaldo Lopez’s home woes.  His last three home starts Lopez has given up five runs or more. Grab the Marlins.

Wednesday Seattle Mariners pitcher Mike Leake will aim to build upon a one-hit gem his last outing. In the third game of their series he’ll face a Texas Rangers team coming off a rare Tuesday road win. The win ended an eight game losing streak and pushed them back above .500. Mike Minor’s post All Star break struggles featured a season-high four home runs allowed his last start. Expect a better outing but for the Mariners to come out on top.   

The Baltimore Orioles suddenly have won four of their last six games. Wednesday they’ll attempt to win consecutive road games for the second time this month. A feat they hadn’t accomplished prior since April 1st. Facing a highly vulnerable pitcher on the Diamondbacks in Taylor Clarke should deliver the Orioles another win. Grab Baltimore as the slight underdog Wednesday.

Consecutive losses for the Yankees have featured pitching downfalls. Eight runs have been scored by the opposition in both losses. Tuesday expect a turn around as the Yankees should have the upper-hand against Twins starter Kyle Gibson. Gibson has never won in eight career starts against the Yankees, including a rough outing on May 3rd. Grab the Yankees. 

Monday value lies on a total between the Toronto Blue Jays and Cleveland Indians. Mike Clevinger of the Indians has been fantastic since returning from the ten day DL allowing just two runs over three games. Opposed the Indians today are the Toronto Blue Jays who will have Ryan Borucki making his 2019 debut. Look for both teams to have hot-hitting bats as Clevinger does not have a fourth straight sharp start. Grab the over.

A close priced matchup exists Sunday between the Cardinals and Reds. For the Cardinals Jack Flaherty will look to build upon consecutive phenomenal starts. Against the Pirates and Giants he allowed just one earned run on less than three hits in each. Yet the Cardinals did not win either game as Flaherty has lacked run support. The Reds have faltered drastically post All-Star break in the NL Central. This is a good home underdog value spot as Flaherty gets run support but not enough to get the win. Grab Cincinnati.

Sunday the Colorado Rockies will attempt to end their six-game losing streak. In their current series against the Yankees they’ve been outscored 19-7. In four straight games the Rockies pitching staff has allowed eight runs or more. This is a value price attraction to side with the Rockies whom are now six games below .500. Lean on the Rockies German Marquez and their bats to push them through in Sunday’s series finale.

Thursday the Oakland As looked like they were en route to their seventh straight victory with a win over the Twins. Minnesota’s league leading home run ability struck again as Eddie Rosario hit a three-run pinch hit home run to lead a late rally. Friday, expect carry over momentum from that game-changing sequence to boost the Twins. Grab the Twins as Jake Odorizzi captures his twelfth win of the season.

Repeat pitching matchups tend to give some of the highest value in betting for MLB. Just a month ago on June 4th the Giants faced the Mets with both Syndergaard and Bumgarner on the mound. Off a poor road performance against the Marlins money shifted quickly to a high price of -145 on the Mets. The Giants delivered in that game and currently are one of the hottest teams in MLB with sixty-two runs post All-Star break. Yet grab the cheaper price on a Mets team that’s devalued as they are starting their third straight road series. 

Losers of three straight the Texas Rangers will aim to get back on track Wednesday. A big part of the problem for the Rangers has been pitching. Over their last four games they’ve surrendered a minimum six runs. That task should continue to be difficult agains the hot-hitting Diamondbacks and with veteran Jesse Chavez on the mound. Chavez has not started this many games before since July 2017, and is coming off allowing three home runs against the Astros. Grab the Diamondbacks to give the Rangers their fourth loss in a row.

Rangers pitcher Lance Lynn will attempt to continue moving upward as the AL’s leader in wins. Lynn holds twelve on the season after a dazzling performance post All-Star break against Houston. Today they’ll face a Diamondbacks team led by Alex Young a young ace coming off a stellar outing himself against the Rockies. While Lynn may continue to perform at a pinnacle level look for the Diamondbacks to pull off the steep underdog win.

For Monday we’ll take a look at the total between the Rays and Yankees. Both James Paxton and Blake Snell are well rested as they haven’t pitched since July 6th (Snell) and the 7th (Paxton). That series was also between the Rays and Yankees. Paxton will attempt to build off an 11 strikeout performance from July 7th. His highest strikeout amount of strikeouts in over two months. Familiarity and rest should lead to the components of the under hitting in today’s Bronx showdown.

Saturday marked the first time in seven games that the Detroit Tigers were involved in a game with less than nine runs combined. Sunday as the Tigers attempt to end a five-game losing streak they’ll do so with veteran Jordan Zimmerman. Zimmerman is winless on the year with a woeful 6.29 ERA. Temptation for another poor Zimmerman outing is there but lean on Homer Bailey to replicate his June 13th dazzling performance against the Tigers. Take the under here. 

The Twins have created an eight game lead over the Indians thanks to consecutive victories. They’ll aim for a sweep Sunday as they look to continue to win via the long-ball. Saturday they hit three home runs as they lead the MLB in that category. While momentum has shifted in this series expect the Indians to ride their young ace in Shane Bieber to victory. 

Friday’s return to a full slate of diamond action saw the Dodgers and Red Sox fall short of on a popular total. The lopsided affair featured eight runs from the Red Sox and just one from the Dodgers. Expect the Dodgers to reverse fortune Saturday against Chris Sale. Combined with the Red Sox hot bats this will be a total that clears. In eight of Boston’s last eleven games the total has cleared double digit runs.

The Brewers and Chase Anderson find themselves as a steep price favorite for the second time in less than a month against the Giants. In the prior road matchup Anderson delivered as a -135 favorite to limit the Giants to five hits. Look for run support on Anderson’s side yet again as the Brewers come out of All-Star break with a cruising win. 

Two teams that have continued to go backwards are the Miami Marlins and New York Mets. The Mets pre-All Star break slide was well documented as they are just 17-31 on the road. Mustering an effective outing will be a tough task but look for the Mets to get the upper hand as the Marlins drop their seventh in eight games.

The Colorado Rockies are sliding the wrong way before All-Star break. After another loss last night against the Diamondbacks, they’ve lost nine of their last thirteen games. Tonight in Arizona should be a solid bounce back spot with Jon Gray on the mound. Arizona has been a poor home team and Gray has been their reliable ace with three straight wins. Grab the Rockies here. 

After being a .500 team the majority of the season the Oakland As have finally gained some separation. They’ve went 12-4 over the last two weeks and will hope to keep their success going tonight in Seattle. This will already be the fifth series matchup on the year between the Mariners and As. Look for Oakland to continue to have success against Mariners pitcher Yusei Kikuchi. Kikuchi gave up three home runs in a May 13th start, and lasted just three innings in a poor performance on May 25th against the As. 

Friday, Masahiro Tanaka will aim to continue his hot-streak against the Tampa Bay Rays. Thus far in three starts on the season against the Rays Tanaka has allowed just one earned run through twenty-two innings. In fact his only two complete-games the past two years have come against Tampa Bay. Yet look for issues in Tanaka’s last outing against Boston to end his 2019 dominance against the Rays. Grab Tampa Bay as the slight home underdog. 

Against the worst team in MLB last week the Indians were defeated in consecutive games by the Baltimore Orioles 13-0. Indians pitcher Zach Plesac will be looking to redeem himself from that ugly outing Thursday as the Indians attempt to sweep the Royals. In Homer Bailey’s last three home starts the Royals have come out victorious. That’ll change Thursday as the Indians ride the momentum for a series sweep and Plesac settles back in.

The Atlanta Braves dominate June featured twenty wins to eight losses. Before All-Star break they’ll get a chance to push forward with two NL East matchups. Tuesday’s initial series will be against the Philadelphia Phillies as Dallas Keuchel makes his third start for the Braves. Look for Aaron Nola’s five-game winless stretch of June to come to an end as value against the Braves lurks Tuesday. 

The focus on Sunday night baseball likely will be figuring out if the Mets can snap their seven-game losing streak and if Atlanta stays hot. I’ll avoid that angle but instead focus on the total. I do not expect Noah Syndergaard and Max Fried to hold up against both teams hot bats. Yet the value of keeping this game under will lie with both bullpens. Grab the under on the subpar pens holding tonight. 

The Mets have continued to get in their own way with late-inning blunders to produce losses. A positive for the Mets is they now return home after a lengthy three-series eleven game road trip. Their opponent will be the red-hot Braves whom they faced to begin their last road trip. On June 18th against the Braves Mets starter Jacob Degrom pitched a near shutout in victory. Grab the Mets to begin their home stand with a win.

A quick series between NL West rivals in the Arizona Diamondbacks and LA Dodgers concludes Wednesday. Monday, Zach Greinke and Clayton Kershaw had their issues early before the Dodgers bullpen caved. With the aces of both staffs having issues one would assume that would be a trend in the series. That’s a value angle on the under for Wednesday as the Diamondbacks Taylor Clarke has been woeful and the Dodgers utilize a first-time starter in Tony Gonsolin. Grab the under to hit on consecutive days between the Dodgers and Diamondbacks.

Both the Reds and Angels head into Tuesday after having a day off on Monday. A high-total exists based on the Reds recent runs galore series against the Brewers, and Tuesday’s starters. The Reds Tyler Mahle is coming off his deepest outing of the season of seven innings. Prior he had pitched four straight games of five innings or less. Opposite Andrew Heaney of the Angels has struggled returning from the DL. Grab the value on the contrarian selection here of the under. 

The Chicago Cubs took advantage of the Braves on Monday, but will be in for a hard test Tuesday. Making his first start as a Cub will be pitcher Albert Alzolay. Difficulty taming a lineup of the Braves that has won thirteen of seventeen games will be a hard challenge. This is the series where the bullpen woes catch up to them. Look for the Cubs bats to repeat Monday’s strong performance. 

The Arizona Diamondbacks broke out of a long six-game losing streak with Sunday’s 3-2 win over the Giants. Now the Diamondbacks will hope to take advantage of their third straight home series as they face the LA Dodgers. As dominant as Zach Greinke has been at home the Dodgers have too many ways to outduel the Diamondbacks. Grab the Dodgers. 

Sunday the Rangers will attempt to conclude their home-series against the White Sox on a positive note. They'll aim to build off Saturday's come from behind win that featured fourteen hits. A reduced price is offered Sunday on the Rangers based on pitcher Adrian Sampson's past two woeful starts. He lasted just three innings in his last start and five the prior. Yet look for the Rangers strong home record of 27-15 and hot bats to aide them to victory.

The Arizona Diamondbacks showed the colors of a team playing catch up against the Rockies. Tuesday they were blown out, Wednesday they couldn’t hold on with Greinke on the hill, and Thursday lost in extra innings. Lingering affects of a ten-game road trip prior certainly hurt their play. Friday things could get worse with Taylor Clarke’s short outings and struggles his last four starts. Yet this is an opportunity for the Diamondbacks bats to win this one and stop the bleeding. Ariel Jurado had delivered four straight quality outings before unraveling in his last start against Cincinnati. That has not deterred oddsmakers from keeping the Rangers a high-price Friday against the White Sox. Friday’s starting pitcher for the White Sox in Reynaldo Lopez has struggled with command, earned runs, and hits in four of his last five starts. Boasting a 6.31 ERA on the road against the Rangers is tough to support. Yet this is a bargain price on the White Sox who should rally in the latter innings. Grab Chicago. 

Friday the Braves will embark on their first road trip in over eleven days as they take on the Washington Nationals. While everyone has been riding the Braves momentum it seems the Washington Nationals have quietly been brewing. May 23rd they were twelve games back of .500 and now are just two games back. The price here is essentially justified on Dallas Keuchel’s return and likely durability issues. With the Braves bullpen woes this is a tricky spot to devalue Stephen Strasburg and the streaking Nationals. Yet I expect the Braves to continue to deliver their winning ways and play well for their new pitcher Dallas Keuchel. Grab Atlanta. 

Lack of runs has become a familiar issue when the Cubs are losing. They’ve lost four of their past five games as they’ve averaged a mere two runs.  Wednesday’s White Sox ace in Lucas Giolito has won eight starts in a row, and is 10-1 overall. Yet look for a reversal of Cubs fortune at the plate to snap Giolito’s streak. Grab the Cubs.

Tuesday the winning ways of the Braves came to a screeching halt as the Jacob Degrom cooled off the bats of the Braves. Wednesday is an opportunity to seek value on another Braves trend via the total. In ten consecutive games for the Braves the total amount of runs has cleared over eleven. Grab the under here as the total finally falls short of double-digits. 

Monday, the Boston Red Sox took game one against the Twins 2-0. The victory came from sound pitching in which five hits were produced from the Twins. Tuesday a win will be much more difficult as David Price tries to bounce back from his worst start all season. Factor in that the Twins have not lost three straight games all season and intriguing lies with the Red Sox. 

Saturday, the Cubs pulled out a rare road victory to defeat the LA Dodgers. Sunday night they’ll play their seventh straight road game as they conclude their series against the Dodgers.  In order for the Cubs to get the win they’ll need reverse fortune for Sunday’s starter in Jose Quintana. After starting off the season at 4-1, Quintana has  went winless in his last eight starts. Yet there is value with the Cubs ending their road trip and Hyun-Jin Ryu coming off a no-decision against the Angels. Grab the Cubs as steep underdogs Sunday night.  

Sunday, the San Francisco Giants are looking for a rare series sweep as they take on the Milwaukee Brewers. Two concerns are at the forefront for the Giants. Can they continue to score runs, and will the bullpen be able to hold for a fifth straight game. It’ll be just as tight as Saturday’s victory over the Brewers but look for the bats to continue to stay hot. Brewers pitcher Chase Anderson has allowed five home runs over his last three starts, and the Brewers bullpen is over extended. Grab the Giants. 

Saturday the Giants and Brewers will play the second game of their series as an early afternoon game in the bay. Jimmy Nelson will look to offset his first start that didn’t go well against the Marlins, while Madison Bumgarner will hope to get run support that’s been missing his past few starts.  While the Brewers bats should give Madison Bumgarner difficulties expect the Giants to offset at the plate. Grab the Giants 

Wednesday featured a pitching change in the Blue Jays-Orioles only to see Edwin Jackson still get a bulk of work. Both teams ended up using their bullpens heavily which is factored into Thursday’s matchup. Marcus Stroman is clearly the better pitcher as the Orioles will utilize former reliever Gabriel Ynoa for a fourth straight start. Yet seek the value on the Orioles as the Blue Jays are still getting money line attention off of their bats explosion Wednesday and last weeks surprise wins over the Yankees. 

For the fourth time in five games the Kansas City Royals find themselves as favorites.  Prior to this current stretch they had been underdogs in eighteen straight games. Expect the price to be right Wednesday as Royals veteran Danny Duffy shakes off two consecutive poor starts. 

The Houston Astros overall record at 45-22 and their dominant home record are influenced into Tuesday’s line. Pitcher Brad Peacock will look to recover from suffering his first loss in over a month. Aiming to bounce back Tuesday is Astros starter Brad Peacock whom suffered a loss in his last start against the Mariners.  The loss was his first in over a month. Yet look for the Brewers to override the Astros home advantage an tack on their fifth straight win.

The Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds had Monday as an off-day to prep for game one of their series Tuesday. Both Tuesday’s starters in Luis Castillo (2.38) and Trevor Bauer (3.93) have solid ERA’s. In an inter-league matchup one would believe that should continue. Yet look for the Reds streak of being in matchups of seven runs or less to end at seven straight games. 

The Arizona Diamondbacks defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 13-8 last night to capture their fifth straight win. During the five wins the Diamondbacks have averaged a whopping 7.6 runs. Tuesday they’ll face struggling veteran pitcher Jake Arrieta whom has won just once in his last seven starts. As hot as the Diamondbacks bats have been look for the Phillies to regroup off of Monday’s embarrassment. Grab Philadelphia.

A new series begins Monday as the Texas Rangers travel to take on the Boston Red Sox. Both Chris Sale and Mike Minor have established strong ERA’s on the season. In fact Minor has allowed three runs or less in eight straight starts. Yet both teams have been hitting the ball well. Expect one big inning of runs to catapult this low total over the number. 

The New York Yankees have lost three of their last four games. All have been as road favorites. Injuries and road fatigue could be in play but have not deterred oddsmakers from a price stand point. Saturday’s matchup presents an opportunity for the Yankees to get plenty of run suppport for CC Sabathia. Grab the Yankees on a solid road price 

Friday the Kansas City Royals and Chicago White meet to begin a three-game weekend series. The White Sox should be well-rested as they played in an early game Wednesday and had an off-day Thursday. Facing a Royals team that ranks the worst in MLB with just nineteen wins is appealing.  Seek the value in a rare favored spot on the Royals as Ivan Nova exits early. 

Several factors are in-play Thursday night on the total between the Padres-Nationals. The Nationals had to travel in from DC after an early-game Wednesday against the Chicago White-Sox. Travel mixed in with the Padres extending their home stand to a third series are all prime factors to take the under. Add in the fact that Patrick Corbin is formerly of the NL West (ex-Dbacks pitcher) and there are variable to side with the under. Instead look for the Nationals to keep their hot bats going and runs to occur in the latter innings. Take the over. 

Two pitchers that are performing below their standard square off Thursday as the Braves conclude their series against the Pirates. Pirates starter Chris Archer will hope to build off a win in his last start that ended a five-game losing streak. Off the Pirates dominating win Wednesday pressure is certainly on Braves struggling starter Mike Foltynewicz. Yet look for the Braves bats to get after Archer early and deliver as a road favorite.

Wednesday the Tampa Bay Rays will be aiming to avenge a Tuesday 9-6 series opening loss to the Detroit Tigers. To get back on track from a four-game losing streak the Rays will need to muster run support against Tigers pitcher Spencer Turnbull. Expect the pitchers in Turnbull and Charlie Morton to live up to their season ERA’s, and for the bullpens to fare better than yesterday’s six allowed runs. Grab the under. 

After a short outing in his MLB debut, Genesis Cabrera will get another opportunity to showcase himself against the Cincinnati Reds. Attraction for the Cardinals lies with their impressive last series against the Cubs and also Luis Castillo’s recent struggles. In his last three starts he has not managed to pitch beyond six innings, including a short outing against the Brewers. Walks have also been an issue. Yet look for the value to remain against top pitching prospect Cabrera. Grab the Reds.

Last week David Price and the Red Sox suffered a shocking loss as the bullpen eroded a probable win against the Cleveland Indians. Through a rain delay Price showed to be effective in his last outing. Expect that to carry over on the road in a great environment against the Yankees. Boston’s four-game losing streak ends as they get back over the .500 mark. 

The Detroit Tigers pitching has tailed off in rhythm of their road trip. This week they’ve traveled to Baltimore and of course now conclude in the NL against the Atlanta Braves. Although Sunday’s starter in Matt Boyd has been stellar in two straight starts (zero runs allowed), he’s facing a Braves team that seems to be back in stride at the plate. Grab Atlanta.

An undermanned Houston Astros lineup wasn’t deterred in Friday’s game one against the As. They used late-inning heroics in the seventh inning to surge back and defeat Oakland. That’s always a great sign for momentum especially in a road series. Look for veteran Justin Verlander to keep the As at bay for a Saturday win on the diamond. 

Momentum for a ball club just takes one solid game. The Cubs got that Wednesday with a close narrow 2-1 victory over the Astros.  Heading into Friday’s away series against the Cardinals the Cubs must find a way to ignite their bats. Starter Yu Darvish is coming off his worst outing of the season and may have a short leash. Yet look for the Cubs to balance out any pitching woes with a strong effort at the plate. Grab Chicago.

An off day Thursday for the Baltimore Orioles has not deterred oddsmakers for Friday. They’ll host a San Francisco Giants team traveling from a series concluded in South Florida Thursday. They should be the latest team to capitalize on poor pitching from the Orioles bullpen and give veteran Drew Pomeranz some ease with his 1-6 record. Grab San Francisco 

Suddenly the Cleveland Indians quiet bats have been revitalized. Two nights ago they surged back with five runs in the ninth inning to defeat the Red Sox. Wednesday they kept the momentum going with fourteen more runs. Thursday look for a return to normalcy for the Indians and the under to cash. 

Lately neither the Brewers or Pirates are playing sharp baseball. Thursday’s matchup surely will be decided by the bullpens effectiveness. Brewers starter Chase Anderson has not pitched beyond five innings all season. For Pittsburgh Joe Musgrove has struggled significantly in his last two home starts. Grab the value on the Brewers as road favorites. 

Thursday Diamondbacks pitcher Taylor Clark will get his fourth appearance and third start of the season. Oddly all have came in road environments. Yet the Dbacks should be able to provide run support for Clark against Rockies pitcher Kyle Freeland. A rough month of May for Freeland began with allowing eight runs to the Dbacks on May 4th. Grab the Diamondbacks as a value Thursday underdog. 

The Marlins and Giants played in one of the more high-scoring games on Tuesday. Wednesday’s starter in Marlins pitcher Pablo Lopez has shown a repetitive pattern of strong outings followed up by a poor outing. In fact this has been ongoing for his last eight starts. After lasting just beyond three innings his last outing look for Lopez to settle in. Grab the under. 

Tuesday the Orioles were home underdogs against one of the worst teams in MLB in the Detroit Tigers. Oddsmakers had the right call and they’ve swiftly adjusted for Wednesday with Orioles starting pitcher Justin Means. Means holds five of the Orioles seventeen wins on the year which should be a confident booster for the team. Grab Baltimore.

Both the Nationals and Braves are hitting the ball well. Atlanta’s averaged five runs over their last five games, and Washington six over the same duration. Bats should be fresh for Tuesday as both teams had off days on Monday. Yet grab the value as both bullpens maintain in the latter innings.

The Detroit Tigers and Baltimore Orioles head into Tuesday’s action as two of the worst teams in MLB. Rattled confidence is both at the plate and pitching for the Tigers as they’ve dropped twelve of their last thirteen games. For Tuesday expect a return to the win column as they get a bit of run support to help starter Matthew Boyd and the Tigers pen. 

Sunday the New York Mets will host a Detroit Tigers team that has lost ten of its last eleven games. Off of yesterday’s thirteen inning affair oddsmakers have given a strong edge to the Mets. After all Zack Wheeler has been a strong home pitcher and the Tigers confidence is rattled. Yet look for the Tigers to be a big underdog casher Sunday as they shake some of their poor month of May away. 

Certainly Rangers pitcher Mike Minor is overachieving to his career averages. He boasts a 2.64 ERA and is coming off a quality start against the Mariners. With the Angels slump now at five games it’s becoming a higher influence price wise on the money line. Look for the Rangers to continue to claw at the Angels bullpen similar to Friday. 

Oddsmakers are in a poor spot with today’s As vs Mariners game. Due to the Mariners slumping record and injuries they’ve favored the Oakland As. The As after all won last night by taking advantage of the Mariners starting pitching and bullpen. In bettors minds will also by Mike Fiers recent no-hitter which has been followed up by two games of 85 pitches. Grab the road value on the Mariners to end the As seven-game win streak. 

Friday the Rangers will travel to Anaheim to take on the Los Angeles Angels. Texas does have momentum entering the series as they’ve won seven of their last eight games. That’s a heavy influence on Friday’s overnight line is struggling Rangers starter Drew Smyly. Smly is winless and has a 6.58 ERA. Although LA is looking to end a four-game losing streak, grab the road value on the Rangers. 

Thursday the Cubs will aim for a third straight victory against the Phillies. With a quick turn around after yesterday’s game oddsmakers have given the early overnight edge to the Cubs. Yet look for the Phillies to rattle Jon Lester and the Cubs bullpen and conclude their series against the Cubs with a split. 

Zack is eyeing one of the opening games for Wednesday’s card in MLB. The Cleveland Indians come in as rare home underdogs due to the pitching matchup. With injuries to Corey Kluber and Mike Clevinger the Indians have had to rely on Jefry Rodriguez to fill a spot. While his stats aren’t horrible he has struggled to get wins (1-3). Off a poor start against the Baltimore Orioles one has to wonder if his psyche will be able to handle the potent As lineup. A positive is his one win came in Oakland on the 12th. Look for that to boost not only Rodriguez confidence but also his team. Grab Cleveland. 

Tuesday the Colorado Rockies head onto the road for a third straight series. Four losses on their current road trip have been by one run. Tuesday oddsmakers have ignored their four straight losses and made them a solid price favorite against the Pirates. Expect Rockies pitcher German Marquez to hone in on his recent issue of yielding hits and for the Rockies to win.

The Cubs and Nationals three-game series will conclude Sunday in DC. After a dynamic outing Friday by the Cubs they tailed off Saturday. In a split series look for the Cubs roster to show their might all around Sunday. Kyle Hendricks has regained his true form and the Cubs bats should be able to apply hits on veteran Jeremy Hellickson. Grab the Cubs. 

Returning from the bullpen to the rotation Saturday is Diamondbacks pitcher Zack Godley. It should be a good matchup to garner Godley’s capabilities as the Giants rank 26th in runs scored. Factoring in last night’s shutout loss to the Diamondbacks gives pre-determined value on the Diamondbacks. Instead grab the Giants on a low-price bargain buy.

Yesterday saw a seesaw affair between the Indians and Orioles that ended up being one of the best games of Thursday. From a totals standpoint expect both teams to continue to be hot at the plate. Veteran Orioles pitcher Dylan Bundy has produced better outings as of late but is still struggling in allowing the deep ball. Take the over as Indians starter Jefry Rodriguez has his first high earned run start of 2019. 

Wednesday the Cardinals missed several scoring opportunities at the plate that led to them getting shutout by the Braves. The Cardinals will now face an improving Julio Teheran whom has had consecutive starts of allowing three hits or less. Yet the Braves bullpen is hard to trust consecutively. Grab the Cardinals to pull through late. 

Wednesday’s starters for the Braves and Cardinals have a combined 5-1 record. The contrasts with both Michael Wacha and Mike Soroka lies with their ERA’s. Soroka has been dominant with a 1.21 ERA and Wacha has had a tough time at 5.35. After a ten-game road trip for the Braves they faltered in yesterday’s opener 14-3. Look for the Cardinals to continue to have the advantage on the road Tuesday with Wacha on the mound. Grab St. Louis.

The Brewers and Cubs have played a solid series as usual. Sunday will cap off their current series that has featured walk off finishes from Chicago. They’ll face struggling pitcher Chacin and the ever effective Jon Lester.  Yet look for the bats to be even in this game and the advantage to side with the Brewers bullpen. Grab Milwaukee.

The Nationals are struggling early in the season as they try and adjust at the plate minus Bryce Harper.  A win last night in LA has created value for today’s early afternoon matchup.  Ryu’s dominant start is at a climax after a complete game shutout performance against Atlanta.  While he may be dominant again today look for the Nationals to do just enough. The San Francisco Giants find themselves as a home underdog against the Cincinnati Reds. This is a home and away series that was played in Cincinnati just a week ago. In that start Giants starter Jeff Samardzija was blasted for three early home runs but the Giants were able to still get the win. Look for the Giants to use the same recipe and get the win by outscoring the Reds. Grab San Francisco. 

Last night the Arizona Diamondbacks won in extra innings against the Atlanta Braves, 3-2. Can they carry momentum over into the second game of the series Friday night? With Zach Greinke on the mound one would think so. His last loss was on March 28th in the season-opener. Yet look for the Braves to reverse last night’s fortune and get the cash as the plus payout value underdog.

Two starting pitching factors point to the over Friday night between the Padres-Rockies. Starter Eric Lauer for the Padres has not pitched beyond five innings in four straight starts. For the Rockies their starter in German Marquez has been getting hit hard in five of his last six starts. Playing at Coors Field is typically an indicator to follow the trends of pitchers but the oddsmakers did a great job tilting this line upward. Grab the value on the under. 

The slumping Blue Jays have lost seven of their last eight games. Compounding matters is their offense has not scored a run in the opening two games against the Minnesota Twins. That’s added pressure for today’s winless Blue Jays pitcher in Tyler Thornton. Yet expect the Blue Jays to find a way to break through their runs slump in the latter innings. Grab Toronto.

After being shutout on Monday the Philadelphia Phillies will be eager to get on the board Tuesday. They’ll face Cardinals pitcher Dakota Hudson who has had his issues with walks and home runs. With Aaron Nola appearing to be settled in the price is on his side from oddsmakers. Yet look for the Cardinals to carry the momentum of yesterday’s at bats into Tuesday. Grab St. Louis. 

Yankees Tuesday starter in Masahiro Tanaka has allowed six home runs in his last five starts. In fact he has failed to last beyond six innings in three of his last four starts. Mariners pitcher Marco Gonzales was cruising to start the season with a 5-0 record. That changed in his last outing where he lasted just 1.2 innings. Look for the Yankees to attack early and get to Gonzales yet again. Grab the Yankees.

The Blue Jays and Rangers will surely see more runs than last night’s 1-0 result. On the mound for the Rangers Saturday is Lance Lynn while the Blue Jays will have Thomas Pannone. Pannone has been rocked in consecutive outings in minimal innings of work. Meanwhile Lynn has had his woes but is coming off a gem performance against the leagues best home run team in Seattle. Yet look for the Blue Jays bats to spring to life as they get their second straight road win. 

The Minnesota Twins head to New York after an impressive home-series against the Astros. Victorious in three of the four games the Twins piled up runs in yesterday’s series finale with eight runs. Yet look for the bats on both sides to be tamed by veteran pitching with James Paxton and Kyle Gibson. Grab the under.

In last nights loss the Rockies struggled at the plate for eight innings with zero runs against the Brewers. They were able to knock in three runs in the ninth that can be looked at for carry over value for today. Brewers pitcher in Chase Anderson has been effective but is still on a pitch count.  Look for the Rockies to be aggressive at the plate and cash as underdogs 

The Yankees strong west coast trip has featured wins in six of eight games. A halt occurred last night as the Diamondbacks won in a close game 3-1. Value for Wednesday’s matchup lies strictly on the pitching matchup. Long standing veteran Tanaka has the heralded history while the Diamondbacks are going with 30 year old newcomer Merrill Kelly. Look for Kelly to continue his decent start to the season as the Diamondbacks cash. 

Both starters Tuesday for the Brewers and Rockies have had their woes. German Marquez of the Rockies has had consecutive starts of allowing eight hits or more. Milwaukee’s starter in Jhoulys Chacin has not lasted beyond five innings in his last three starts. With both the Rockies and Brewers featuring potent bats the over is tempting. Ride the value on the under. 

The red-hot Rockies will look to keep up their winning ways in the second-game of their series against the Braves. One of the catalysts in the Rockies turn around has been pitcher Jon Gray whom has been outstanding his last three starts. Look for the Rockies to continue their winning ways against a Braves team that’s still fighting off their prior seven-game road trip. Take Colorado. 

Seattle endured a six-game road trip that began with three straight wins before a poor conclusion. Thursday they’ll try to stop a three-game losing streak as they return home to host the Texas Rangers. With the Rangers also on a three-game losing streak value would appear to be against them. Yet Marco Gonzalez’s 4-0 start is heavily factored into Thursday’s line. Grab the Rangers to cash. 

The Astros hope starting pitcher Gerrit Cole can bounce back today against the potent lineup of the Cleveland Indians. Cole is just 1-3 on the young season and lasted just four innings in his last start against Texas. Certainly one shouldn’t expect Cole to be outstanding but the price is worth of backing with the Astros ability to pile up runs. Grab Houston.
