Knicks/Nets 7:30: Knicks have been rocking since acquiring Anunoby. They're 9-2 SU/8-3 ATS since acquiring him. And 7 of those 9 wins were by double digits. Meanwhile, Brooklyn on a 2-8 slide. Last time these teams met (December 20th), Knicks delivered a 121-102 beatdown. NY won the last 3 in this series by a combined 61 points. We'll stay on surging Knicks here.

Boston/Dallas 8:40: Right now, Boston a better team but the scheduling inadvertent scheduling advantage to Dallas should cost them. Dallas has been off since they lost to the Lakers on the 17th. In that game, the 3-point shooting was atrocious as Doncic was trying to get his legs back after injury. Doncic, Irving and Hardaway Jr. were a combined 3 of 21 from behind the arc. Dallas has been solid off losses this year (9-5 ATS). They've alternated wins and losses since January 7th. On the flip side, Boston is playing in their 3rd game in 4 days, going into this one unrested. And depth should be an issue late with Horford and Holiday listed as day-to-day. We'll look for them to suck wind late as the Mavericks deliver.

Denver/Philadelphia 7:30: Embiid (swollen knee) came back strong yesterday after a three-game absence. He dropped 41 points with 10 rebounds on the Rockets. Tonight, he has to match vs Jokic and the defending champs. 76ers, however, a little thin in depth without Covington, De'Anthony and Bamba. Jokic, Murray and Porter Jr. in a nice rhythm. Nuggets 4-2 ATS in this series and 2-1 ATS at Philadelphia. Jokic got screwed out of the MVP last year to Embiid and may take this one personally. Nuggets the call.

Lakers/Mavericks 7:40: This line moved from Dallas -1' at open to Dallas +4' at 2:00pm ET. Dallas has several contributors out, most likely Irving (heel bruise) and Grant Williams (knee). And I wouldn't count on Hardaway Jr. (back) playing. Nevertheless, we'll take the points with the shorthanded Mavericks. Doncic has a tendency to make his teammates better; for example, Lively II picked up his game substantially vs Memphis yesterday. Lakers are coming off winning the In-Season-Tournament. James and Davis expended their energy reserve on Saturday. Davis is notorious for his fall off following big games. Lakers just 5-7 in non-tournament games this season. And their 3-point shooting was atrocious vs Pacers hitting 2 of 13. They relied on energy and defensive intensity to win on Saturday; tonight, I see neither of those occurring. Dallas has covered 6 of the last 7 in this series and we'll take the points here.

Gabe Vincent (ankle) was a huge part of their playoff run and his absence was notable for Game 5. He's listed as questionable and should be good to go. Heat/Celtics 8:30: Heat have been a scrappy bunch throughout the playoffs. A rare sloppy performance on Tuesday should get their attention tonight. Heat realize they need to turn it up a few notches to take away confidence that was restored to Boston in Game 4. Heat 10-3 ATS on 1 day rest and covered 5 of their last 6 road tilts. They're also 4-1 ATS off a SU loss and covered 4 of their last 5 in Boston. Miami has the underdog mentality and, although not nearly as talented as their competitor, have the Pit Bull fight in them that should enable them to cover here. Shots that weren't falling in Game 4 should fall tonight. Miami the call.

Fortunately for the Lakers, Reeves and Hachimura have been fabulous in the playoffs. Walker IV, Schroder and Russell should play well. Denver's Jokic most likely won't be stopped and Murray is clearly back in top form. Lakers 15-5 O/U after scoring 100+ and 15-6 O/U after opponent scores 100+. Nuggets 5-1-1 O/U in last 7 road tilts. Lakers/Nuggets 8:30: Lakers feel good about themselves after 4th quarter comeback. Rui Hachimura was instrumental in helping to shut down Jokic. He was the primary defender on the two time MVP while A.D. roamed the paint only to chip off late to disrupt the big man going to the basket. It isn't the first time that the Nuggets have seen that look. It happened several times during the regular season and vs Minnesota. Denver will surely adjust when they see that look as the skilled big man will find roaming Gordon or kick it out to Porter, Brown or Murray. Denver has the ability to turn it up several notches with explosive play. Lakers had trouble with the pick and roll on Murray. And the Nuggets are getting good work out of supporting cast players. Lakers/Nuggets 8:30: Home team has gotten the best of this season series - splitting 4 games. I do realize that the Lakers have been entirely reconfigured since that January 9th 122-109 win in Denver. Lakers have a strong bench which proved to be a big asset thus far in the playoffs. Interesting matchup with Anthony Davis vs Jokic. Jokic has yet to be stopped in postseason and this will be perhaps his most challenging adversary. Jokic has a solid supporting cast that is on the same page. Gordon, Porter Jr. and former Laker - Caldwell- Pope have been strong, and the X Factor this season is Murray. He's the missing piece which should carry Denver in Game 1. Both teams are strong on 3 days rest - a combined 8-1 ATS, but Denver is a sweet 23-9 ATS in their last 32 home games. Bucks/Heat 7:30: Bucks were unstoppable from the perimeter on Wednesday with 25 three pointers. And Lopez had a monster game. I've seen this old dance before in the playoffs and Milwaukee came out flat as a follow up. I anticipate Giannis playing as the line dictates. Heat won't back down on this floor. They're a proud defensive team (#2 in allowing points) and will be prepared protecting their home floor. Losing Herro is a tough loss but Spoelstra has the "next man up" mentality and Robinson, Strus and Oladipo or Vincent going to have to step up their game when called upon. Need Jimmy Butler to turn it up a notch down the stretch while veteran Kevin Love needs to contribute. Clippers/Suns 10:00: Suns not in a panic mode yet, but not comfortable on the floor. The few games of rest at the end of the season for the Suns' key cogs reared their heads Sunday. Suns were out of position defensively too often and a step slow; moreover, Paul, who makes the clutch-controlled dribble penetration shots inside the foul line, couldn't late in the 4th quarter. On the other hand, Clippers' coach Lue, once again did a masterful job outcoaching his playoff adversary. And he worked his bench well as Plumlee, and Mann gave good work down the stretch. Westbrook was ridiculously bad putting the ball in the hoop but made up for it in hustle. Clippers have fine tuning on offense to do and once again should cover. They're not intimidated by Phoenix and control a 5-2 ATS mark in Los Angeles.

Knicks/Cavaliers 7:30: Brunson is definitely the missing piece the Knicks so desperately needed to get them to the next level. His chemistry with college teammate Josh Hart, which helped win two National Championships at Villanova, was apparent when the lights shined bright on Saturday. Just need Randle (ankle) to shake off his playoff history rust and Barrett to step up. Knicks 6-2 ATS at Cleveland. Take points.

OKC/New Orleans 9:30: OKC 10-4 ATS last 14 in series and 6-0 in last 6 trips to New Orleans. Sure, Pelicans made a run last season without the services of oft injured Zion Williamson (hamstring) but look for young OKC to keep it competitive.

T-Wolves/Lakers 10:00: T-Wolves have covered this series 6-1 ATS; however, the new Lakers, which were transformed last month, have shown great promise, including an easy win over the 'Wolves March 31st. With Gobert (suspended) and McDaniels (hand) out, too much stress put on Edwards, Conley and Towns to log heavy minutes. Not a fan of how Lakers' coach Ham uses his bench, but Los Angeles has too much talent to shuttle in to fail here. Anthony Davis should have a huge game considering Gobert's backup (Naz Reid) is also out. Lakers the call.

San Diego State/U Conn 9:20: U Conn has been the most dominant NCAA Tournament team (20.6 PPG) since the 2018 Villanova National Champion (16.6 PPG). SDS is definitely a worth contender with a veteran team that's physical and plays great defense. But U Conn has too many ways to hurt you offensively including the inside presence of Sanogo. And to think star SG Jordan Hawkins was recovering from a bad virus and still put in 13 points in 26 minutes. U Conn a bit more polished and offensively prolific. SDS has a tendency to go into shooting droughts and most likely will fade late here vs a deep and skilled Huskies team.

Miami Fla/U Conn 8:49: 'Canes continue to find ways to be the giant killer and we'll continue to ride them here. Larranaga has pushed the right buttons for most of the season and should find a way to keep Sanogo in check despite having an undersized team. U Conn has had some trouble with good shooting teams that space the floor; after all, Xavier swept the season series against U Conn in doing just that. And Miami U does it as good as anyone. Whether it be Miller, Pack, Wong, someone on the 'Canes has continually elevated their game as a catalyst to spark a rally in post-season. We'll ride the wave of the 'Canes.

FAU/SDS 6:09: FAU proved they belong here. They clearly don't have to take a backseat to anyone. Johnell Davis has proved to be virtually unstoppable in the postseason and he has a dangerous shooting contingent that can get hot. And the emergence of big man Vlad Goldin gives the Owls an inside presence that makes the Aztecs force to honor him. FAU is deep, can run and spread the floor as good as any top team in the nation. SDS is defensively sound but not the greatest shooters, especially from the perimeter at 36.3% (71st nationally). We'll grab the Owls.

Celtics/Bucks 7:30: Much of the drama taken out of this game on account of Celtics losing to the Wizards Tuesday. Bucks have control of the #1 seeding over the Celtics by three games with six remaining. Celtics played like they were on automatic pilot Tuesday night vs the shorthanded Wizards. Look for them to turn it up several notches here. They've responded well to losses most of the year, sport a 5-2 ATS mark in last 7 road tilts, and play well in Milwaukee (18-7-1 ATS). Bucks are just 6-19-1 ATS at home vs teams with winning road record. Celtics the call.
