Also, MLB teams that score 10 or more runs and than have to play on the road, have been a great play against in my lifetime. It's a favorite of many wise guys. That's because it has cashed about 65% since 1998. I think the Dodgers will step up and force a deciding game 7, which the Dodgers will win. Wilson Ramos is one of the best catchers at framing pitches and he's OUT for this game. His bat will be missed as he's batting over .400 against Miley. American League interleague home favorites are cashing nearly 70% in game one of a series over the past 10 seasons. I think Jason Hammel will bounce back after two sub-par starts to begin his Royals' career. He has been awesome in April (2.14 ERA) over the three past seasons, holding hitters to a .195 batting average. Jason Hammel is 9-2 in April since 2014, and 3-1 in four starts against the Giants in his career. Matt Cain has a 5.59 ERA in April of late and hitters are batting .289 against him. The Tigers have won four in a row and are battling for the last Wild Card spot, which they currently hold. Detroit is 20-7 in their last 27 during game one of a series. They have hit left-handed pitching hard at home this season. I think Duffy is running out of gas as he has pitched a career-high 169.2 innings this season. Duffy has a season-high 4.10 ERA in September and 5.06 ERA against the Tigers this season. Fulmer has pitched well against the Royals this season with a 2.75 ERA, allowing 18 hits in 19 2/3 innings. He is holding hitters to a .223 batting average this season which is 11 points lower than Duffy. Kansas City has been eliminated from the postseason and will be facing a fired-up Tigers squad with their most consistent starter on the bump. Ian Kinsler returns which should provide a boost. 5*Detroit Tigers +100 (Salazar/Zimmermann) The Indians have won all 6 games against Detroit so far this season. The Tigers are well aware of this fact. Look for them to win this opener behind Zimmerman. The Indians have not seen much of Jordan, while the Tigers have seen a lot of Salazar in his career.

5*Washington Nationals +132 (Ross/Urias) This will be the third straight game that the Nats will face a lefty starter. Julio Urias is the real deal, but the Dodgers have him on a strict pitch count of about 75 per game. The Nats are ranked No. 3 in OPS against left-handed starters, while the Dodgers are ranked near the bottom in OPS against righties. The Nats are 9-4 when Ross is on the bump and I look for Washington to avoid the sweep at a nice price.

4*Colorado Rockies +108 (Gray/Conley) Both teams have never faced either opposing starter. The Rockies are ranked 5th in runs scored and 9th in OPS (on base+slugging) against left-handed starters. Jon Gray has been on fire lately with a 2.66 ERA over four straight quality starts. He has thrown quality starts in seven of his past eight outings. Adam Conley last won on May 16. Since then, he is 0-2 with a 5.27 ERA. During the rough span, opponents are hitting .308. With Gray in better current form, I'll take the Rockies as a small underdog in this spot.

10*Chicago Cubs -136 (Wood/Hammel) The Cubs will be playing its second straight day game, while the Dodgers are coming off an emotional series against the Mets. The Dodgers have to play a day game after a late night game. That's tough especially since the Cubs are ranked No. 7 in OPS (on base+slugging) against left-handed starters. The Cubs are 14-8 in day games and 9-3 against lefties this season. Alex Wood will be pitching with three extra days of rest (tricep irritation), which has not helped him in the past. He has pitched to a 6.84 ERA in all road games this season. Jason Hammel has a 2.04 ERA at home and looks to be in top form. This line is sure to rise so get down ASAP.

4*Chicago White Sox -109 (Keuchel/Rondon) Something is clearly wrong with Dallas Keuchel. He’s gone 0-4 with a 7.98 ERA in his last four starts, allowing 44 hits in 29 1/3 innings. He’s 6-12 with a 4.52 ERA in 20 starts on the road since the start of last season. The 2015 AL Cy Young winner is allowing some lofty batting averages against the White Sox. The Astros' bullpen has a 5.84 on the road this season. Carlos Rondon has been pitched very well with extra rest (six days) and off a team loss in his brief career. Most of the Astros have seen very little of him. The White Sox bullpen has a 1.70 ERA at home. I like the host to end its two-game losing skid.

He’s faced them once in his career, throwing 3 1/3 innings of scoreless relief against them last June. The Orioles are ranked 5th in runs scored against left-handed starters and Sabathia is on the back nine of his career. Baltimore has five starters batting near or over .300 against the Yankees lefty in his career.

10*Philadelphia Phillies +120 (Bauer/Eickhoff) Trevor Bauer takes over for the injured Carlos Carrasco. He will be limited to about 80 pitches as the Indians continue to stretch him out. The Indians bullpen hasn't been spectacular this season, checking in with a 4.45 ERA. Bauer was thought to be a top prospect when he was with Arizona. It's been a struggle for Bauer, sporting a 5.07 ERA in all night games over the last three seasons. Jerad Eickhoff is a pitcher I really think can be an Ace sooner rather than later. He's got good size (6-4, 247) and one of the best breaking balls in all of baseball. Eickhoff has a 1.29 ERA in night games this season while holding batters to a .180 average. His strikeout to walk rate is very impressive with 18K's and 3 BB. In 51.2 career innings, Eickhoff has allowed batters to hit just .212 off him. Lastly, one of the best systems for wise guys in the baseball world is to play on home teams, if they won on a walk-off home run the previous night against the same team. It has cashed nearly 70% of the time since 2000. Take the Phillies to continue its win streak.

Molina should be very familiar with the type of "stuff" Lackey has and relay that info to his teammates. I like the Red Birds in this one!
