08-24-20 | Twins v. Indians UNDER 8.5 | 3-2 | Win | 110 | 10 h 19 m | Show
40* TWINS/INDIANS MLB SHARP MONEY (Under 8.5) I will take my chances with the UNDER 8.5, as we got a big time pitching matchup going down in Cleveland with the Indians Aaron Civale taking on the Twins Kenta Maeda. Civale has a 2.91 ERA and 0.971 WHIP in 5 starts. His great pitching combined with the Indians lackluster offense has resulted in the UNDER cashing in 4 of his 5 starts. Maeda has been equally impressive for Minnesota, as he has a 2.27 ERA and 0.632 WHIP in 5 starts. He was spectacular in his last outing, allowing just 1 run on 1 hit with 12 K's in 8 innings against the Brewers. Also important to note, both teams have strong bullpens to keep this thing in check late. Twins relievers own a 3.44 ERA and 1.203 WHIP, while Cleveland's pen has a 2.73 ERA and 1.039 WHIP. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
08-23-20 | Angels v. A's UNDER 9 | Top | 4-5 | Push | 0 | 7 h 24 m | Show |
50* ANGELS/A'S AL WEST PLAY OF THE WEEK (Under 9) I really like the value here with the UNDER 9 between the A's and Angels. I think we are getting some value with the number here as we got a couple of strong starters coming off a poor start last time out. Dylan Bundy gave up 4 runs in 4 innings against the Giants, while Frankie Montas allowed 9 runs in just 1 2/3 innings at Arizona. Bundy still owns a stellar 2.47 ERA and 0.796 WHIP in 5 starts overall and Montas has a sensational 1.69 ERA and 0.937 WHIP in 3 home starts this season. Give me the UNDER 9! |
08-21-20 | Blue Jays v. Rays UNDER 9 | 6-5 | Loss | -111 | 9 h 2 m | Show
40* BLUE JAYS/RAYS MLB STEAMROLLER (Under 9) I really like the value here with the UNDER 9 in Friday's AL East matchup between the Rays and Blue Jays. I just think that Toronto plays in such a hitter-friendly home park that there's going to be value on the UNDER when they hit the road. Note the Blue Jays are scoring 4.6 runs/game and hitting .252 on the season, yet are only averaging 3.9 runs/game with a .231 average on the road. Blue Jays starter, Matt Shoemaker, is 4-0 with a 2.41 ERA and 1.010 WHIP in 6 career starts against the Rays. Two of those coming this season. Ryan Yarbrough will start for Tampa Bay and he's also made 2 starts against the Blue Jays. He's thrown 8 1/3 innings and has not allowed a run. Give me the UNDER 9! |
08-20-20 | Reds v. Cardinals UNDER 8.5 | Top | 4-5 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 40 m | Show |
100* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL OF THE MONTH (Under 8.5) I absolutely love the value here with the UNDER 8.5 in tonight's NL Central showdown between the Cardinals and Reds. Cincinnati will have ace Sonny Gray on the mound, who is 4-1 with a 2.05 ERA and 0.913 WHIP in 5 starts. Gray also owns a sensational 1.08 ERA and 0.960 WHIP in 3 career starts (all last season) against the Cardinals. St. Louis will turn to veteran Adam Wainwright. While he's only made 2 starts, he's been exceptional in both, posting a 1.64 ERA and 0.818 WHIP. He just hasn't been able to start cause the Cardinals missed so many games. I think more rest definitely helps him perform better at this stage of his career. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
08-20-20 | Phillies v. Blue Jays OVER 8.5 | 2-3 | Loss | -105 | 3 h 33 m | Show
40* PHILLIES/BLUE JAYS EARLY BIRD NO-BRAINER (Over 8.5) I don't care that this is only a 7-inning game. I still see a ton of value with the OVER 8.5 in Game 1 between the Blue Jays and Phillies. The ball is absolutely flying at Sahlen Field. I think people are starting to catch on, but I don't know that the books have quite adjusted. With Spencer Howard on the mound for Philadelphia and Chase Anderson toeing the rubber for Toronto, I think both offenses have a shot here of eclipsing the total on their own. Either way, they should have no problem combing for at least 9 runs. Give me the OVER 8.5! |
08-19-20 | Tigers v. White Sox UNDER 9 | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 10 h 30 m | Show
40* TIGERS/WHITE SOX MLB STEAMROLLER (Under 9) I really like the value here with the UNDER 9 in Wednesday's AL Central matchup between the White Sox and Tigers. We are getting a great price because of both teams sending out a guy making his first career start. Thing is, these are two highly touted prospects that are ready for the spotlight. This also figures to be a great day to pitch, as the wind will be blowing in at Guaranteed Rate Field and temps will be in the mid to low 70s. Look for both offenses to struggle to get going in this one. Give me the UNDER 9! |
08-16-20 | Padres v. Diamondbacks OVER 9 | 4-5 | Push | 0 | 7 h 55 m | Show
40* PADRES/DBACKS MLB NO-BRAINER (Over 9) When you factor in how bad Arizona starter Robbie Ray has been and the recent rate at which the Diamondbacks offense has been producing, I think the OVER is definitely worth a shot on Sunday. Over their last 5 games the Diamondbacks are averaging 7.4 runs/game. They are hitting .312 as a team with a .356 OBP and .492 SLG during this stretch. Ray has made 4 starts for Arizona and if it wasn't for what he's done in the past, I don't think he would still be in the rotation. Ray has a 10.58 ERA and 2.116 WHIP in 4 starts. He's allowed at least 5 runs in each of his last 3 outings. He can't locate the ball. He's given up 7 HRs and walked 14 in 17 innings. Give me the OVER 9! |
08-14-20 | Rays v. Blue Jays OVER 9.5 | 4-12 | Win | 100 | 9 h 42 m | Show
40* RAYS/BLUE JAYS OVER/UNDER VEGAS INSIDER (Over 9.5) The ball simply is flying out of Sahlen Field, which is where the Blue Jays are playing their home games this season. Toronto just played their first two games at Sahlen Field against the Marlins and the two teams combined for 34 runs on 43 hits (11 HRs) in those two games. Now you got a Rays offense that is scorching coming to down. Tampa Bay just put up 42 runs in their 4 game series at Boston with at least 8 runs in each game. Give me the OVER 9.5! |
08-12-20 | Cubs v. Indians UNDER 8 | Top | 7-2 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 30 m | Show |
50* CUBS/INDIANS MLB TOP PLAY (Under 8) I absolutely love the value with the UNDER 8 in this one. I correctly predicted that the Cubs would be the first team all season to score 5 or more runs against the Indians in yesterday's 7-1 win. I don't feel so confident with them doing it two games in a row. In fact, I wouldn't be shocked at all if they struggled to score a mere 3 runs. Cleveland will have Carlos Carrasco on the mound, who has a 2.50 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in 3 starts. Cubs will counter with Kyle Hendricks. While Hendricks is normally a guy I look to fade on the road, Cleveland's offense is so bad that I like him to pitch well here. It doesn't hurt that the wind will be blowing in from right. Give me the UNDER 8. |
08-09-20 | Indians v. White Sox UNDER 7.5 | Top | 5-4 | Loss | -110 | 20 h 26 m | Show |
50* SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL PLAY OF THE MONTH (Under 7.5) I really like the value here with the UNDER 7.5 between the White Sox and Indians. Two really good starters will take the mound in this one. Lucas Giolito is coming off a breakout 2019 season. He had a rough first start, but has been outstanding in his last two, giving up just 2 runs on 8 hits with 15 strikeouts in 12 innings. Definitely helps that he's facing a Indians offense that struggles to score runs. His second start was against Cleveland and he threw 6 shutout innings. Cleveland will have Shane Bieber on the mound and he's been lights out in 2020. Bieber is 3-0 with a 0.83 ERA and 0.692 WHIP in 3 starts. He's absolute mowing people down, as he's got a ridiculous 35 strikeouts (only 3 walks) in 21 2/3 innings. Bieber has a 3.08 ERA and 1.158 WHIP in 6 career starts against Chicago, while Giolito has a 2.56 ERA and 1.074 WHIP in 5 career starts against Cleveland. Give me the UNDER 7.5! |
08-09-20 | Reds v. Brewers UNDER 7.5 | 3-9 | Loss | -100 | 15 h 29 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL KNOCKOUT (Under 7.5) Easy play on the UNDER at 7.5 for me. Two of the top NL starters take the mound in this one. The Reds will send out Sonny Gray, who has been outstanding. Gray is 3-0 with a 0.96 ERA and 0.696 WHIP in 3 starts. Dating back to last season he's posted 13 straight starts where he's allowed 3 or fewer runs (18 of his last 19 overall). Milwaukee will turn to Brandon Woodruff, who has a strong 2.08 ERA and 0.923 WHIP in 3 starts this season. He's only given up 4 runs in 17 1/3 innings with 21 strikeouts. He faced Cincinnati twice last year and allowed just 4 runs with 18 K's in 13 innings of work. Gray has a 2.29 ERA in 6 career starts against the Brewers. Give me the UNDER 7.5! |
08-08-20 | Diamondbacks v. Padres UNDER 7.5 | Top | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 12 h 3 m | Show |
50* MLB NL WEST TOTAL OF THE MONTH (Under 7.5) I absolutely love the value here with the UNDER 7.5 between the Padres and Diamondbacks. Neither offense could get much of anything going in the series opener last night, as San Diego pulled out a 3-0 win with the two teams combing for a mere 9 hits. It figures to be more of the same on Saturday with the two starters we got going. Diamondbacks will send out Merrill Kelly, who has a 2.63 ERA and 0.951 WHIP in his first 2 starts of 2020. Both of which were quality starts. Padres will counter with the highly underrated Chris Paddack, who is one of the best starters in the game right now. Paddack has a 2.65 ERA and 0.941 WHIP in his first 3 starts. Dating back to last year, Paddack has now gone 7 straight starts where he's allowed 3 or fewer runs. Give me the UNDER 7.5! |
08-08-20 | Twins v. Royals OVER 9.5 | 6-9 | Win | 100 | 10 h 3 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL NO-BRAINER (Over 9.5) I look for the Twins/Royals to have no problem combining for at least 10 runs on Saturday. While this might look like a good pitching matchup with Kansas City sending out Danny Duffy and Minnesota giving the rock to Jake Odorizzi, conditions will not be in favor of the pitchers in this one. It's going to be incredibly humid for this game. While temps are expected to be in the high 80's, the humidity is going to be close to 80%, which is going to result in a heat index approaching 110 degrees at the start of this game. On top of that the wind will be blowing straight out to left field. Ball figures to be flying out of the park in this one. Give me the OVER 9.5! |
08-07-20 | Tigers v. Pirates UNDER 8.5 | 17-13 | Loss | -114 | 9 h 22 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL NO-BRAINER (Under 8.5) I just feel like this price is too good to pass up given how bad these two teams have been offensively. I get that Detroit starter Matt Boyd hasn't been great in his first two starts and Chad Kuhl will be making his first start since 2018 for Pittsburgh. These two offenses are atrocious. Tigers have played 10 games now and are hitting a pathetic .205 with a team OBP of just .265. Pirates are even worse at .191 and .253. Detroit has scored 3 or fewer runs in 3 of their last 4. Pittsburgh has been held to 3 or less in 6 of their last 8. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
08-06-20 | Angels v. Mariners UNDER 9 | Top | 6-1 | Win | 100 | 7 h 48 m | Show |
50* AL WEST TOTAL OF THE MONTH (Under 9) I absolutely love the value with the UNDER 9 in Thursday's AL West showdown between the Mariners and Angels. I really like both starters in this one. LA is sending out Dylan Bundy, who looks to be having a breakout season. Bundy has a 2.84 ERA and 0.710 WHIP in his first 2 starts. What really stands out to me is how he's getting guys to miss. He has 15 strikeouts in 12 2/3 innings of work. Mariners will give the rock to Taijuan Walker. He had a tough first start on the road against a loaded Astros lineup. As expected, he bounced back in a big way in his next start. He held the A's to just 1 hit with 8 K's in 7 shutout innings at home. Last time he faced the Angles (Sept. 2019), he pitched a 3 hit complete game shutout. Give me the UNDER 9! |
08-05-20 | Reds v. Indians UNDER 8 | 0-2 | Win | 100 | 10 h 36 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL ANNIHILATOR (Under 8) I see some decent value with the UNDER 8 on the total for Wednesday's game between the Indians and Reds. Cleveland's offense is struggling to say the least. The fact that they have scored a mere 10 runs in their last 7 games says it all. I get we don't know just what the Reds have in today's starter Tejay Antone, but we can be pretty confident he pitches well against this Indians offense. As for Cincinnati's offense, they too figure to have a hard time scoring runs against Cleveland starter Mike Clevinger. Give me the UNDER 8! |
08-04-20 | White Sox v. Brewers UNDER 8 | 3-2 | Win | 102 | 10 h 1 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL NO-BRAINER (Under 8) I really like the UNDER 8 between the White Sox and Brewers. It's all about the starting pitching matchup. White Sox will send out Lucas Giolito, who is coming off a breakout 2019 season. Giolito did struggle in his first start of 2020, but was outstanding in his last start against the Indians, giving up just 4 hits in 6 shutout innings. Brandon Woodruff will go for Milwaukee and he's quietly had a great start to this season. Woodruff gave up just 2 runs in 5 innings at Chicago in his first start and then allowed just 1 hits over 6 shutout innings at Pittsburgh. He's also got a strong 15 K's in 11 1/3 innings of work. Give me the UNDER 8! |
08-03-20 | Mets v. Braves UNDER 8 | 7-2 | Loss | -114 | 10 h 50 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER VEGAS STEAMROLLER (Under 8) There's no reason to overthink this one. The UNDER 8 is a no-brainer given the two guys that will be starting this game. Everyone knows how good the Mets Jacob deGrom is. For those that don't know, Atlanta's Mike Soroka is just as good. Soroka had a 2.68 ERA and 1.11 WHIP in 29 starts last year, which was his first full season at the big league level. He's opened up 2020 by posting a 1.59 ERA and 0.971 WHIP in his first 2 starts. deGrom has a 1.64 ERA and 0.545 WHIP in his first 2 starts. Soroka has a 2.27 ERA in 6 starts vs the Mets and deGrom has a 1.90 ERA in 22 starts against the Braves. Give me the UNDER 8! |
08-01-20 | Indians v. Twins UNDER 9 | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 10 h 13 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL NO-BRAINER (Under 9) I think we are getting some great value here with the UNDER 9 in Saturday's AL Central showdown between the Twins and Indians. Two really good starters take the mound in Minnesota's Kenta Maeda and Cleveland's Carlos Carrasco. Both guys pitched well in their first start of the season. Maeda gave up just 2 runs with 6 strikeouts in 5 innings, while Carrasco allowed 2 runs with 10 strikeouts in 6 innings. I look for both offenses to struggle to get going in this one. Give me the UNDER 9! |
07-29-20 | Padres v. Giants UNDER 8 | 6-7 | Loss | -114 | 13 h 35 m | Show
40* MLB LATE NIGHT OVER/UNDER TOTAL ANNIHILATOR (Under 8) I like the value here with the UNDER 8 in Wednesday's late night action between the Giants and Padres. San Diego will have one of the best young starters in the game going in Chris Paddack. Last year Paddack posted a 3.33 ERA and 0.98 WHIP in 26 big league starts (first year in the majors). He didn't miss a beat in his first start of 2020, throwing 6 shutout innings against a good Dbacks lineup. Johnny Cueto goes for the Giants and while he only made it 4 innings in his first start, he did hold a loaded Dodgers lineup to just 1 run on 5 hits. I think Cueto is a guy to watch out for going forward. Give me the UNDER 8! |
07-29-20 | Nationals v. Blue Jays UNDER 8.5 | Top | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 9 h 50 m | Show |
50* MLB INTERLEAGUE TOTAL OF THE MONTH (Under 8.5) I think we are getting some exceptional value here with the total. Washington will have ace Max Scherzer on the mound, who i'm confident is going to have a monster start after a less than stellar first outing. Scherzer did strikeout 11 of the 17 batters he retired. Toronto also doesn't have near the offensive fire-power as the Yankees. The value here stems from Blue Jays starter Nate Pearson, who is making his big league debut. Pearson is a legit top tier prospect. He can light up the radar (100 mph fastball) and more importantly is facing a Nationals lineup that has really struggled to get anything going in 2020. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
07-26-20 | Angels v. A's UNDER 9 | 4-6 | Loss | -106 | 7 h 8 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL NO-BRAINER (Under 9) I will gladly take my chances here on the UNDER 9 with the total in Sunday's matchup between the A's and Angels. I really like the pitching matchup here with Ohtani going up against Fiers. Ohtani was impressive in the limited time we saw him as a starter back in 2018 and Fiers is one of the more underrated starters in the game. These two scored 10 runs in the opener, but that was only cause they went to extra innings (tied 3-3 after 9). They then combined for just 5 runs on Saturday, which is about what I expect here. Give me the UNDER 9! |
07-25-20 | Braves v. Mets OVER 9 | 5-3 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 4 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL NO BRAINER (Over 9) I'm not concerned with the lack of offense we saw in Friday's opener between these two teams. That had everything to do with the starting pitching matchup, as we had two of the games best starters on the mound in deGrom and Soroka. Most are aware of how strong this Atlanta offense can be, but I don't think the majority realize the potential this Mets offense has this year. Factor in the wind blowing out and the heat index in the low 90s and I think we are going to see a bit of an offensive explosion in this one. Give me the OVER 9! |
07-24-20 | Diamondbacks v. Padres UNDER 8.5 | 2-7 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 59 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL MASSACRE (Under 8.5) I see a ton of value here with the total at 8.5 for tonight's NL West showdown between the Padres and Diamondbacks. Arizona will send out Madison Bumgarner, who I think is going to have a big year and get back to being one of the best pitchers in the game. On the flip side, San Diego gives the rock to Chris Paddack, who has had the Giants number in his brief career. Paddack has faced Arizona 3 times (all last year) and posted a 1.08 ERA and 0.900 WHIP in those 3 outings. All 3 of those starts saw a combined score of 5 or less. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
10-22-19 | Nationals v. Astros UNDER 6.5 | 5-4 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 43 m | Show
40* NATIONALS/ASTROS WORLD SERIES GAME 1 (Under 6.5) I'll take my chances with the UNDER 6.5 in Game 1 of the World Series. You got Max Scherzer going for Washington and Gerrit Cole on the mound for Houston. Both of these guys are capable of going 7 scoreless and I just don't see more than a couple runs on the board in this one. BET THE UNDER 6.5! |
10-02-19 | Rays v. A's UNDER 7.5 | Top | 5-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 30 m | Show |
50* RAYS/A'S AL WILD CARD TOTAL OF THE YEAR (Under 7.5) I love the UNDER 7.5 in Wednesday's AL Wild Card matchup. You got two really good starters going in a pitchers park (Coliseum). Tampa will send out Charlie Morton, who went 16-6 with a 3.05 ERA and 1.084 WHIP in 33 starts this season. Morton had a strong 8-3 record with a 3.59 ERA in 16 road starts and owns a 3.20 ERA in 7 career outings against the A's. Oakland will turn to Sean Manaea, which is pretty amazing. Manaea only made 5 starts after missing close to a year because of injury. He looked as good as ever in those 5 outings, posting a 1.21 ERA and 0.775 WHIP. He recorded 17 or more outs in each of his last 4 starts and after walking 5 in his first two outings, hel only walked 2 over his last 3. We also know that we will see the best of the best relievers in this winner take all matchup. Give me the UNDER 7.5! |
08-25-19 | Nationals v. Cubs UNDER 8.5 | Top | 7-5 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 15 m | Show |
50* NATIONAL LEAGUE TOTAL OF THE MONTH (Under 8.5) I'll take my chances here with the UNDER 8.5 in this one. I know the Nationals have score 16 runs in the first two games of the series, but Chicago will have Cole Hamels on the mound and he's posted a 2.56 ERA and 1.090 WHIP in 10 home starts. He'll be 100% locked in with the team desperately needing a win here. Cubs offense has been real quiet of late and figures to stay that way against Stephen Strasburg. In 9 career starts against Chicago, Strasburg has posted a 1.59 ERA and 0.898 WHIP. Both of these starters also love pitching in day games. Hamels has a 2.48 ERA in 9 day starts, while Strasburg owns a 2.87 ERA in 11 day starts. Take the UNDER 8.5! |
08-19-19 | Brewers v. Cardinals OVER 9.5 | Top | 0-3 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 15 m | Show |
50* MLB VEGAS SHARP MONEY TOP PLAY (Brewers/Cardinals OVER 9.5) I'll take my chances with the OVER 9.5. Yesterday we played the OVER 11 in Milwaukee's game with Washington and the two combined for 24. That's now 30 runs in the last 2 games that the Brewers pitching has allowed. The bullpen is taxed and that's a problem, as it will be tough for the starters to go deep in this one. The heat index at game time is expected to be around 105 degrees with almost no wind. It's going to be miserable conditions to pitch. Look for some big innings by both teams that have this thing easily reaching double-digits. Give me the OVER 9.5! |
08-18-19 | Brewers v. Nationals OVER 11 | Top | 8-16 | Win | 102 | 3 h 4 m | Show |
50* MLB VEGAS SHARP MONEY TOP PLAY (Brewers/Nationals Over 11) The Nationals and Brewers combined for 29 runs in Milwaukee's 15-14 win in 14-innings on Saturday. Not only are both offenses headed into Sunday swinging a confident bat, but both of these teams' bullpens were taxed yesterday. Add in a pretty mediocre pitching matchup of Anderson vs Fedde and awful conditions with a heat index around 100 and I think we see these two fly past the total. Give me the OVER 11! |
08-01-19 | Cubs v. Cardinals UNDER 8.5 | Top | 0-8 | Win | 100 | 8 h 9 m | Show |
50* MLB VEGAS SHARP MONEY TOP PLAY (Under 8.5) I'll take my chances here with the UNDER again in the Cubs/Cardinals series. We have cashed in on the UNDER in each of the first two games in the series and it hasn't been close. Game 1 had a total of 3 runs with a total of 8.5. Game 2 had 2 runs with a total of 8.5. We have the same 8.5 total posted for Game 3 and I see another strong pitching matchup. Cubs have Jon Lester on the mound, who is coming off a start at Milwaukee where he allowed just 4 hits in 7 shutout innings. Cardinals counter with Jack Flaherty, who has a 1.56 ERA and 1.039 WHIP in his last 3 starts. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
07-31-19 | Cubs v. Cardinals UNDER 8.5 | Top | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 9 h 24 m | Show |
50* MLB VEGAS SHARP MONEY TOP PLAY (Under 8.5) I'll take my chances here with the UNDER once again in the Cubs/Cardinals series. I cashed in an easy winner on the UNDER 8.5 Tuesday, as St Louis squeaked out a 2-1 win. I think we are in line for another pitchers duel tonight, as the Cubs send out Kyle Hendricks and the Cardinals counter with Miles Mikolas. Hendricks has a 3.06 ERA and 1.066 WHIP in 17 starts against St Louis and Mikolas has a sensational 1.95 ERA and 1.108 WHIP in 6 starts vs the Cubs. Take the UNDER 8.5! |
07-30-19 | Cubs v. Cardinals UNDER 8.5 | Top | 1-2 | Win | 105 | 9 h 8 m | Show |
50* NATIONAL LEAGUE TOTAL OF THE MONTH (Under 8.5) I'll take my chances here with the UNDER 8.5 in Tuesdays' series opener between the Cubs and Cardinals. Chicago will send out Yu Darvish, who has finally start to pitch like the guy they thought they were getting when they signed him to the big deal. Darvish has a 2.00 ERA and 0.667 WHIP in his last 3 starts. A stretch where he's allowed just 10 hits, with only 2 walks and 21 strikeouts in 18 innings. Cardinals counter with veteran Adam Wainwright, who has pitched exceptionally well at home compared to on the road. Wainwright has a 2.33 ERA and 1.204 WHIP in 9 home starts. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
07-21-19 | Brewers v. Diamondbacks UNDER 9 | Top | 7-4 | Loss | -113 | 6 h 15 m | Show |
50* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL OF THE MONTH (Under 9) I'll take my chances here with the UNDER at 9 in Sunday's series finale between the Brewers and Diamondbacks. A lot of people aren't going to think a pitchers duel when they see Brandon Woodruff vs Alex Young, but that's exactly what I'm expecting. Woodruff just keeps flying under the radar, despite a 11-3 record and 3.53 ERA in 19 starts. He's been lights out of late with a 1.33 ERA and 0.983 WHIP in his last 3 starts. Young is making his 4th start since joining the rotation on June 27th. He's 3-0 with a 1.10 ERA and 0.551 WHIP in those 3 starts. UNDER is also a dominant 11-1 in the Diamondbacks 12 home games over the last 2 seasons when listed as a dog of +125 or more. Give me the UNDER 9! |

07-13-19 | Dodgers v. Red Sox OVER 9 | Top | 11-2 | Win | 100 | 8 h 24 m | Show |
50* MLB VEGAS SHARP MONEY TOP PLAY (Over 9) I'll take my chances here with the Dodgers and Red Sox combining for double-digit runs on Saturday. These two combined for 9 on Friday with LA scoring just 1 run. I think they hit 10 runs easy. Chris Sale is considered the ace of the Boston staff, but he's pitched like a No. 5 starter at best of late. Sale has a 7.02 ERA and 1.620 WHIP In his last 3 starts, giving up 14 runs on 22 hits (5 HRs) in his last 16 2/3 innings. It's a similar story for Dodgers starter Ross Stripling, who has a 6.75 ERA and 1.667 WHIP in his last 3 starts. Just too much offensive fire-power between these two teams and the ball should carry at hitter friendly Fenway Park with temps expected in the mid 80s and light wind. Give me the OVER 9! |
06-29-19 | Cardinals v. Padres UNDER 8 | Top | 2-12 | Loss | -109 | 22 h 51 m | Show |
50* MLB VEGAS SHARP MONEY TOP PLAY (Under 8) I'll gladly take my chances here with the UNDER 8 in Saturday's matchup between the Cardinals and Padres. These two teams combined for just 4 runs in Friday's series opener and I don't see either offense exploding with today's starters. St Louis will send out the consistent Dakota Hudson who just keeps churning out Quality Starts. Hudson also has a 2.25 ERA in his last 3 outings. Chris Paddack will go for the Padres and he's struggled a bit of late, but is coming off a couple of solid outings and has a very strong 2.50 ERA and 0.750 WHIP in 6 home starts. UNDER is 5-1 in Hudson's 6 road starts this season and 5-1 in Paddack's 6 home starts. Give me the UNDER! |
06-02-19 | Indians v. White Sox UNDER 8.5 | Top | 0-2 | Win | 100 | 3 h 20 m | Show |
50* MLB VEGAS SHARP MONEY TOP PLAY (Under 8.5) I'll take my chances with the Indians/White Sox combining for fewer than 9 runs in Sunday's series finale. Chicago has one of the hottest starters in the game going in Lucas Giolito. In his last 3 starts, Giolito has a 1.64 ERA and 0.636 WHIP. He's now 7-1 with a 2.85 ERA and 0.983 in 10 starts overall. Cleveland will turn to Zach Plesac, who was sharp in his first big league start last week, allowing just 1 run on 4 hits in 5 1/3 innings. That was on the road against a loaded Red Sox offense. No reason to think he can't keep a sub-par White Sox offense in check. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
05-21-19 | Marlins v. Tigers UNDER 7.5 | 5-4 | Loss | -119 | 8 h 49 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL NO-BRAINER (Under 7.5) I'll take my chances here with the UNDER 7.5 in Tuesday's less than appealing matchup between the Tigers and Marlins. Most will just skip over this one, given how bad both of these teams are. While I'm about to predict which team will win, I do think there's a good chance this is a low-scoring game. Both starters are new to the scene and are absolutely dealing in 2019. Miami's Caleb Smith has a 2.25 ERA and 0.917 WHIP in 8 starts. Detroit's Spencer Turnbull has a 2.40 ERA and 1.253 WHIP in 9 starts. You also have to factor in these are two awful offensive teams. Give me the UNDER 7.5! |
05-13-19 | Astros v. Tigers UNDER 8.5 | Top | 8-1 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 34 m | Show |
50* MLB VEGAS SHARP MONEY TOP PLAY (Under 8.5) I'll take my chances here with the UNDER 8.5 in Monday's series opener between the Tigers and Astros. I absolutely love the pitching matchup in this one and feel we are getting a ton of value with the number. Detroit will have Matt Boyd on the mound, who has arguably been the best pitcher in 2019 that no one knows about. Boyd has a 2.86 ERA and 0.934 WHIP in 8 starts. He's got 63 strikeouts in 50.3 innings and has not allowed more than 3 earned runs in any start this season. Houston will have Brad Peacock on the mound and he's fresh off throwing 7 shutout innings with 12 strikeouts in his last start. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
05-12-19 | White Sox v. Blue Jays UNDER 8.5 | 5-1 | Win | 100 | 4 h 44 m | Show
40* MLB EARLY BIRD TOTAL NO BRAINER (Under 8.5) I'll take my chances here with the UNDER in Sunday's series finale between the White Sox and Blue Jays. Two offenses that have struggled to score runs in what I feel is going to be an under the radar pitchers duel. Chicago's Lucas Giolito has a not so great 4.06 ERA, but owns a strong 1.290 WHIP. He also has a 2.84 ERA and 1.053 WHIP in 3 road starts and a 1.80 ERA and 1.067 WHIP in his last 3 starts. Toronto will counter with Aaron Sanchez, who has a 3.21 ERA in 8 starts overall, thanks in large part to a sensational 1.59 ERA in 3 home starts. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
05-10-19 | Braves v. Diamondbacks UNDER 8.5 | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 12 h 44 m | Show
40* MLB - FRIDAY NIGHT TOTAL MASSACRE (Under 8.5) I'll take my chances on the UNDER 8.5 in this one. I was on the UNDER 8.5 in Thursday's series opener between Arizona and Atlanta. It was a 1-1 game going into the 9th inning and the Dbacks eventually won 3-2. That just continued a trend of horrible offense by both of these teams and we got another great pitching matchup in this one, as the Braves turn to the red-hot Julio Teheran, while the Diamondbacks give the rock to ace Zach Greinke. Give the UNDER 8.5! |
05-08-19 | Mets v. Padres UNDER 8.5 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 6 h 52 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL KNOCKOUT (Under 8.5) I'll take my chances here with the UNDER 8.5. New York is sending out Matt Strahm and he's been straight dealing of late. Strahm owns a 2.25 ERA and 0.700 WHIP. Prior to putting up 7 runs on Tuesday, Mets had scored 3 or fewer in 6 straight games. New York will turn to Wilmer Font and when given a chance the guy has produced. Add in PETCO Park and it's pitcher friendly dimensions, it all points to 8 or fewer runs. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
05-07-19 | Mets v. Padres UNDER 7.5 | 7-6 | Loss | -114 | 13 h 55 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL MASSACRE (Under 7.5) I'll take my chances here with the UNDER 7.5. I'm banking on Noah Syndergaard's last start being the first of many great outings after a slow start to 2019. Syndergaard tossed a complete game shutout, allowing just 4 hits, walking only 1 and striking out 10. Padres will send out Cal Quantrill, who is one of their promising youngsters. I'm not as confident with him being dominant going forward, but he should be good here. Mets offense has gone to shit. They have scored a whopping 7 runs in their last 6 games combined (UNDER 6-0), scoring 1 or fewer 4 times during this stretch. Give me the UNDER 7.5! |
05-07-19 | Braves v. Dodgers UNDER 8 | 0-9 | Loss | -114 | 13 h 30 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL NO-BRAINER (Under 8) I'll take my chances here with the UNDER in LA as the Dodgers will host the Braves. The ball just doesn't carry late at night at Dodgers Stadium. With the two starters we got going in this one, I just think these two teams are going to have a really tough time combining for 9 or more runs. LA will send out Hyun-Jin Ryu, who is 3-1 with a 2.55 ERA and 0.905 WHIP in 6 starts. Atlanta will counter with Max Fried, who is 4-1 with a 2.21 ERA and 0.982 WHIP in 6 starts. Ryu's ERA drops to 2.25 at home, while Fried owns a 1.46 ERA on the road. Give me the UNDER 8! |
04-29-19 | Astros v. Twins UNDER 8.5 | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 32 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL MASSACRE (Under 8.5) I'll take my chances here with the UNDER 8.5 in Monday's series opener against the Twins and Astros. Hard to see Minnesota scoring more than a couple runs. Houston will have Justin Verlander on the mound, who has started out 4-0 with a 2.61 ERA and 0.895 WHIP in 6 starts. He's struck out 27 in his last 3 starts, giving up just 3 runs on 9 hits in 21 innings over this stretch. Twins counter with Jake Odorizzi, who has a 1.54 ERA and 0.857 WHIP in 2 home starts and just limited the Astros to 2 runs in nearly 6 innings of work in his last start. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
04-29-19 | A's v. Red Sox UNDER 9 | 4-9 | Loss | -101 | 8 h 1 m | Show
40* MLB NO DOUBT TOTAL KNOCKOUT (Under 9) I'll take my chances with the UNDER in Monday's series opener between the A's and Red Sox. Oakland's Frankie Montas is 4-1 with a 3.10 ERA and 1.138 WHIP in 5 starts and will be facing a Boston offense that is coming off a 2-game series at home against the Rays where they totaled just 3 runs on 12 hits. Red Sox starter, Eduardo Rodriguez has a not so great 5.88 ERA and 1.462 WHIP in 5 starts, but is trending in the right direction. Rodriguez has a 3.00 ERA and 0.899 WHIP in his last 3 starts. He's also 2-0 with a 2.13 ERA in 2 home starts. Give me the UNDER 9! |
04-26-19 | Padres v. Nationals UNDER 7 | 4-3 | Push | 0 | 9 h 58 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL NO-BRAINER (Under 7) I'll take my chances here with the UNDER 7 in Friday's MLB action between the Padres and Nationals. Washington will send out their ace Max Scherzer to the mound and I love taking an elite talent like Scherzer off a bad outing, especially against a sub-par offense like the Padres. Key here is the Nationals offense should also be held in check. San Diego's Matt Strahm has quietly posted a strong 3.05 ERA and 1.113 WHIP in 4 starts, which includes a 0.90 ERA in 2 road starts. Give me the UNDER 7! |
04-25-19 | Marlins v. Phillies UNDER 7.5 | Top | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 1 m | Show |
50* MLB VEGAS SHARP MONEY TOP PLAY (Under 7.5) I'll take my chances here with the UNDER 7.5 in Thursday's NL East clash between the Phillies and Marlins. It's been a rough start for Philadelphia starter Aaron Nola, but the guy finished 3rd in the NL Cy Young voting last year and is coming off a promising outing at Coors Field against the Rockies. It also helps the Marlins offense is atrocious. Miami is only averaging 2.7 runs/game and hitting .215 on the season, which drops off to 1.6 runs/game and .180 on the road. Key here is the Marlins have a top notch starter of their own going in Caleb Smith, who has a 2.35 ERA and 0.870 WHIP in 4 starts. Give me the UNDER 7.5! |
04-22-19 | Rangers v. A's UNDER 8.5 | Top | 1-6 | Win | 100 | 13 h 58 m | Show |
50* MLB AL WEST TOTAL OF THE MONTH (Under 8.5) I'll take my chances with the UNDER 8.5 in this one. Texas just scored 20 runs over back-to-back wins against the Astros over the weekend, but those offensive outbursts came at home. Rangers are averaging 5.8 runs/game on the season, but just 4.0 runs/game on the road, which tells you how much better they are at home than on the road. The Coliseum in Oakland is more of a pitchers park and the average combined score in A's home games this season is 6.7. Oakland's offense is in a bit of a slump right now, having scored 2 or fewer in 4 of their last 5. Won't be easy snapping out of that funk against the red-hot Mike Minor, who has a 0.78 ERA and 0.826 WHIP in his last 3 starts, which includes a complete game shutout in his last outing at home against the Angels. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
04-20-19 | Giants v. Pirates UNDER 7.5 | Top | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 18 h 37 m | Show |
50* NATIONAL LEAGUE TOTAL OF THE MONTH (Under 7.5) I'll take my chances here with the UNDER 7.5 in Saturday's NL clash between the Giants and Pirates. Pittsburgh's PNC Park favors the pitchers and I think we have a couple of underrated guys going head-to-head in this one. Pirates will send out Jameson Taillon, who most expected to be good, but he's been outstanding in his last 3, posting a 2.40 ERA and 1.133 WHIP. His best start also came at home against St Louis and that's his only start at home so far in 2019. San Francisco will turn to Derek Holland, who despite a 4.09 ERA has been effective. Even bigger key to Holland having success, is the fact that the Pirates are hitting just .214 as a team and scoring a mere 2.7 runs/game vs left-handed starters this year. Give me the UNDER 7.5! |
04-12-19 | Phillies v. Marlins UNDER 8.5 | Top | 9-1 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 28 m | Show |
50* MLB VEGAS SHARP MONEY TOP PLAY (Under 8.5) I'll gladly take my chances here with the UNDER 8.5 in Friday's NL East showdown between the Marlins and Phillies. Miami's offense has been really bad to start 2019. They have been shutout 3 times already, including twice in their last 3 games. They just scored a whopping 1-run in a 3-game series at Cincinnati. I don't see them breaking out of their slump against Phillies starter Jake Arrieta. Key here is I don't think Philadelphia will be doing a lot of scoring either. Miami's Sandy Alcantara has one really good start at home against the Rockies (0 ER, 4 Hits, 8 innings) and one poor outing at Atlanta. I think he's going to be one of those guys that is just going to be a lot better at home. Give me the UNDER! |
04-11-19 | Mets v. Braves UNDER 9 | Top | 6-3 | Push | 0 | 9 h 4 m | Show |
50* MLB [NL EAST] TOTAL OF THE MONTH (Under 9) I'll gladly take my chances on the UNDER 9 in Thursday's NL East clash between the Braves and Mets. This one comes down to the two starters we have going. Atlanta sends out Kevin Gausman, who didn't allow a run and struck out 7 in 7 innings to start 2019. Mets will counter with Steven Matz, who has made two starts and owns a 0.87 ERA and 1.162 WHIP . Matz is also 4-0 with a 2.75 ERA in 7 career starts agains the Braves. Give me the UNDER 9! |
04-10-19 | Mariners v. Royals OVER 9.5 | 6-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 15 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL NO-BRAINER (Over 9.5) The books just can't seem to set the total high enough in Seattle games. Mariners have played 13 games and only one of them has finished below the posted total. Seattle is not only scoring a bunch, but they are allowing their fair share of runs, which is why the books can't get the number high enough. Mariners are scoring 8.0 runs/game and giving up 4.9 runs/game. Neither of tonight's starters have great stuff, the Royals bullpen is atrocious and the wind is blowing out towards left-center at roughly 16 mph. I think this hit's double-digits early. Give me the OVER 9.5! |
04-10-19 | Rays v. White Sox UNDER 8.5 | 9-1 | Loss | -101 | 4 h 40 m | Show
40* MLB EARLY BIRD TOTAL MASSACRE (Under 8.5) I'll take my chances here with the UNDER 8.5. I think we are getting some good value on the number due to the fact that White Sox starter, Reynaldo Lopez, has a 10.00 ERA and 2.222 WHIP in his first 2 starts. The key here is conditions are going to make runs difficult to come by. Temps are expected in the high 30's with wind chill closer to freezing. Wind will also be blowing in from left field at 10+ mph. Rays will send out Tyler Glasnow, who has a 0.82 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in 2 starts. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
04-07-19 | Reds v. Pirates UNDER 8 | Top | 5-7 | Loss | -115 | 3 h 6 m | Show |
50* NL CENTRAL TOTAL OF THE MONTH (Under 8) I'll take my chances with the UNDER in Sunday's NL Central clash between the Reds and Pirates. Love both the starters going in this one and both were sharp in their first starts of 2019. Pittsburgh will send out Chris Archer, allowed just 2 hits with 8 K's in 5 shutout innings in his first start. Cincinnati will counter with Anthony Desclafani, who allowed just 1 run on 3 hits with 8 K's in 5 innings. Bet the UNDER 8! |
04-06-19 | Padres v. Cardinals UNDER 7.5 | 6-4 | Loss | -112 | 5 h 1 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL NO BRAINER (Under 7.5) I'll take my chances here with the Padres/Cardinals staying under the mark set by the books. I just think 7.5 is a really good number given the caliber a talent in today's two starters. Michael Wacha is flying under the radar. Injuries have limited him of late, but when healthy he's been really good. He was sharp in his first start, giving up just 1 run on 4 hits with 7 strikeouts on the road against a potent Brewers offense. San Diego's Chris Paddack only gave up 1 run on 2 hits with 7 strikeouts in his big league debut. I really like him going forward. I think both offenses struggle to get anything going. Give me the UNDER 7.5! |
04-04-19 | Yankees v. Orioles UNDER 7.5 | Top | 8-4 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 45 m | Show |
50* MLB AL EAST TOTAL OF THE MONTH (Under 7.5) I'll take my chances here with the UNDER 7.5 in Thursday's AL East clash between the Yankees and Orioles. New York has James Paxton on the mound and he's one of the best pitchers in the AL. He only gave up 1 earned run and 4 hits in 5 2/3 innings in his first start. Orioles offense has cooled off last two games, scoring 3 or less in both games. Don't see them scoring a lot here. Yankees offense has scored exactly 1 run in each of their last 2 games and 3 or fewer in 4 of their last 5. They are without one of the better hitters in Stanton and probably aren't going to go off until it starts warming up and the ball carries a little better. Orioles will also have Alex Cobb on the mound, who was much better in the 2nd half of last year and is only a few years removed from posting back-to-back seasons where he had an ERA under 3.00 in 20+ starts. Give me the UNDER 7.5! |
04-01-19 | Giants v. Dodgers UNDER 8 | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 11 h 19 m | Show
40* MLB LATE NIGHT TOTAL NO-BRAINER (Under 8) I'll take my chances here with the UNDER 8 in Monday's NL West clash between the Dodgers and Giants. While LA has been lighting up the scoreboard, they have played a lot of their games early. Ball just doesn't carry as well at night in LA. I also like both of these starters and each are coming off a strong showing this spring. Julio Urias had a 1.72 ERA and 0.51 WHIP with 15/3 K/BB ratio in 15.2 innings. Drew Pomeranz had a 2.81 ERA and 1.000 WHIP. I think we have a full run of value, which is a lot with a MLB total. Give me the UNDER 8! |
03-28-19 | Pirates v. Reds OVER 8 | Top | 3-5 | Push | 0 | 6 h 56 m | Show |
50* MLB OPENING DAY PLAY OF THE YEAR (Over 8) I'll gladly take my chances here with the OVER 8 in this one. The Reds and Pirates might not have what it takes to compete with the Cubs, Cardinals and Brewers for the NL Central crown, but these are not bad teams by any means. I think both have a lot more offensive fire-power than they get credit for and there's a couple other key factors that should lead to a lot of runs being scored. For starters, the Great American Ball Park is one of the most hitter-friendly stadiums in the league and while it won't be carrying as well as it will in June/July/August, it's expected to be in the 70's with the wind blowing straight out to left field at close to 15 mph. As for the pitching matchup, Pirates Jameson Taillon had a mere 4.85 ERA in Spring Training and is just 4-4 with a 4.30 ERA and 1.343 WHIP in 12 career starts against the Reds. Cincinnati will turn to Luis Castillo, who is 1-3 with a 4.00 ERA in 5 starts vs the Pirates and gave up 12 runs on 13 hits and 5 walk in a mere 8 2/3 innings in Spring Training. Give me the OVER 8! |
09-07-18 | Angels v. White Sox UNDER 8.5 | Top | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 8 h 10 m | Show |
50* AMERICAN LEAGUE TOTAL OF THE MONTH (Under 8.5) I'll gladly take my chances with the White Sox and Angles going UNDER the 8.5 total set here by the books. The Angels will have Felix Pena on the mound and he's got a 2.14 ERA in 6 road starts. White Sox will counter with their future ace in Carlos Rodon, who has a 2.89 ERA and 1.023 WHIP in 15 starts overall and a 2.23 ERA and 0.890 WHIP in 7 starts at home. Add in less than ideal conditions for scoring with winds blowing in from left at close to 15 mph and I don't see either offense doing much in this one. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
08-27-18 | White Sox v. Yankees UNDER 9 | Top | 6-2 | Win | 100 | 6 h 38 m | Show |
50* MLB VEGAS SHARP MONEY TOP PLAY (Under 9) I'll gladly take my chances here with the UNDER 9 in Monday's action that has the Yankees hosting the White Sox. The public loves to back the OVER in Yankee games, especially at home, but I just don't see either offense being able to get much going in this one. Chicago will send out Carlos Rodon, who has a 2.05 ERA and 0.818 WHIP in his last 3 starts and now owns a 2.71 ERA in 13 starts overall. Yankees will counter with Masahiro Tanaka, who has allowed just 3 runs in his last 2 starts and owns a 2.23 ERA and 1.268 WHIP in 5 career starts against the White Sox. Take the UNDER! |
08-25-18 | Braves v. Marlins UNDER 8 | Top | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 38 m | Show |
50* MLB VEGAS SHARP MONEY TOP PLAY (Under 8) I'll gladly take my chances here with the UNDER 8 in Saturday's NL East clash between the Braves and Marlins. These two teams combined for just 5 run in Atlanta's 5-0 win on Thursday and only 1 in Miami's 1-0 win on Friday. I look for both offenses to stay ice cold in this one. The Braves will turn to Animal Sanchez, who is 5-1 with a 3.00 ERA and 1.083 WHIP in 9 road starts. The Marlins will counter with Wei-Yin Chen, who has a 2.08 ERA and 0.807 WHIP in his last 3 starts and a 2.05 ERA in 10 starts overall at home this season. Give me the UNDER 8! |
08-24-18 | Pirates v. Brewers UNDER 8.5 | Top | 6-7 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 21 m | Show |
50* MLB VEGAS SHARP MONEY TOP PLAY (Under 8.5) I'll take my chances here with the UNDER 8.5 in Friday's NL Central clash between the Pirates and Brewers. This total is simply too high for the starting pitching matchup. Pittsburgh will send out Joe Musgrave, who has a 2.18 ERA and 0.970 WHIP in 5 road starts and comes in with a solid 2.25 ERA in his last 3 starts. Milwaukee will send out Wade Miley, who has a strong 2.18 ERA in 9 starts overall in 2018 and a 2.38 ERA in 3 starts at home. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
08-23-18 | Padres v. Rockies UNDER 10 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 4 h 20 m | Show |
50* MLB VEGAS SHARP MONEY TOP PLAY (Under 10) I'll take my chances here with the UNDER 10 in Thursday's NL West clash between the Padres and Rockies. You have to pick your spots with taking the UNDER at Coors Field, but I feel we have a great number and pitching matchup to get us the win. Colorado will send out Kyle Freeland, who is 7-2 with a 2.22 ERA and 1.145 WHIP in 11 home starts. In those 11 home starts with Freeland on the mound, the UNDER has cashed 10 times. San Diego will counter with Joey Lucchesi, who has a solid 3.22 ERA and 1.156 WHIP in 7 road starts and a 1.69 ERA and 1.000 WHIP in 3 starts against the Rockies this season. That includes an outing at Colorado, where he gave up just 4 hits and didn't allow an earned run in 6 innings of work. Give me the UNDER 10! |
08-20-18 | Indians v. Red Sox UNDER 8 | Top | 5-4 | Loss | -108 | 7 h 17 m | Show |
50* MLB VEGAS SHARP MONEY TOP PLAY (Under 8) I'll gladly take my chances here with the UNDER 8 in Monday's showdown between two of the best in the AL, as the Red Sox host the Indians. This one will feature a matchup of former Cy Young winners, as Corey Kluber takes the mound for Cleveland and Rick Porcello toes the rubber for Boston. Kluber has been lights out of late, posting a 1.96 ERA and 0.783 WHIP in his last 3 starts. Porcello allowed just 1 run on 2 hits with 10 strikeouts in his last start at Philadelphia and the last time he took the mound at home he threw a 1-run complete game against the Yankees. I also think both pitchers have an edge, as this is the first time this season and just the second time since 2016 that Boston will have faced off against Kluber. Porcello on the other hand hasn't faced the Indians since 2016. Give me the UNDER 8! |
08-18-18 | Astros v. A's UNDER 8 | Top | 1-7 | Push | 0 | 6 h 44 m | Show |
50* AL WEST TOTAL OF THE MONTH (Under 8) I'll gladly take my chances here with the UNDER 8 in Saturday's AL West showdown between the Astros and A's. The intensity of this series got turned up a notch after Oakland's dramatic walk-off 4-3 win in extra innings on Friday. The A's are now just 1-game back of Houston for the AL West lead. I think the early start time after last night's contest really benefits the starters and we have two guys who are really throwing the ball well facing off in this one. Astros are giving the rock to Dallas Keuchel, who has a 2.25 ERA and 1.100 WHIP over his last 3 starts. A's will counter with Trevor Cahill, who is a perfect 3-0 with a ridiculous 0.99 ERA and 0.832 WHIP in 7 home starts (UNDER is 6-1). Give me the UNDER 8! |
08-16-18 | Diamondbacks v. Padres UNDER 8 | Top | 5-1 | Win | 100 | 12 h 34 m | Show |
50* NATIONAL LEAGUE TOTAL OF THE MONTH (Under 8) I'll gladly take my chances here with the UNDER 8 in Thursday's night cap between the Padres and Diamondbacks. Runs are tough enough to come by at Petco Park when a couple of struggling starters take the mound. I think both teams will have a difficult time getting anything going with tonight's starting pitching matchup. Arizona will give the ball to Play Buchholz, who has a 2.25 ERA and 1.140 WHIP in 11 starts. San Diego will counter with one of their top young prospects in Jacob Nix, who was sensational in his first career start last Friday, allowing just 4 hits over 6 shutout innings against the Phillies. Give me the UNDER 8! |
08-12-18 | Nationals v. Cubs UNDER 8 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 10 h 5 m | Show |
50* SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL TOTAL OF THE YEAR (Under 8) I'll gladly take my chances here with the UNDER 8 in tonight's prime time showdown between the Cubs and Nationals. Chicago has been in a bit of a funk offensively of late and it's unlikely they snap out of it against arguably the best pitcher in the game in Max Scherzer, who is 15-5 with a 2.28 ERA and 0.897 WHIP in his last 24 starts. While the Nationals roughed up the struggling Jon Lester on Saturday, they now face the red-hot Cole Hamels, who has allowed 1 run on just 10 hits in 11 innings over his first 2 starts with the Cubs. UNDER is 5-0 in Chicago's last 5 vs a starter with a WHIP less than 1.15 and 8-3 in Washington's last 11 road games vs a left-handed starter. Give me the UNDER 8! |
08-04-18 | Cardinals v. Pirates UNDER 8.5 | Top | 8-4 | Loss | -110 | 21 h 39 m | Show |
50* NL CENTRAL TOTAL OF THE YEAR (Under 8.5) I'll gladly take my chances here with the UNDER 8.5 in Saturday's MLB matchup between the Cardinals and Pirates. This one is all about the starting pitching matchup and how both starters should keep the opposing offense in check. St Louis will turn to Austin Gomber, who took a no hitter into the 7th inning of his first big league start. Doing so on the road against the Reds, who play in one of the strongest hitter parks in the majors. Pittsburgh will counter with Ivan Nova, who has been at his best when he throws in front of his home crowd at PNC Park. Nova has a 3.15 ERA and 1.123 WHIP in 9 home starts. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
08-03-18 | Rockies v. Brewers UNDER 8.5 | Top | 3-5 | Win | 105 | 10 h 19 m | Show |
50* MLB VEGAS SHARP MONEY TOP PLAY (UNDER 8.5) I'll gladly take my chances here with the UNDER 8.5 in Friday's matchup that has the Rockies visiting the Brewers. This is all about the home/away splits of today's two starters. Colorado will send out German Marquez, who has a 3.30 ERA and 1.083 WHIP in 10 road starts, which is quite a bit better than his 4.90 ERA on the season. Milwaukee will turn to Junior Guerra, wh has a mere 3.43 ERA in 20 starts overall, but owns a 2.45 ERA and 1.197 WHIP in 12 home starts. UNDER is also 24-10-1 in the Brewers last 35 at home vs a team with a winning road record and 16-5 in Guerra's last 21 starts after allowing 5 or more runs in his previous start. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
08-02-18 | Giants v. Diamondbacks UNDER 7.5 | Top | 8-1 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 10 m | Show |
50* NL WEST TOTAL OF THE MONTH (Under 7.5) I'll gladly take my chances here with the UNDER 7.5 in Thursday's NL West showdown between the Diamondbacks and Giants. No need to overthink this one, we have two of the best starters in the game going head-to-head in this one. San Francisco sends out their ace in Madison Bumgarner against Arizona's ace Zack Greinke. Bumgarner has posted a rock-solid 3.04 ERA and 1.184 WHIP in 10 starts after missing a good portion of the season early and has a 2.62 ERA and 1.087 WHIP in 30 career starts against the Diamondbacks. Greinke is 12-5 with a 2.96 ERA in 22 starts, owns a 2.39 ERA and 0.990 WHIP in 11 home starts and has a 0.79 ERA in his last 3 starts. He's also 12-2 with a 2.31 ERA in 18 career starts against San Francisco. Give me the UNDER 7.5! |
07-24-18 | Nationals v. Brewers UNDER 9.5 | Top | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 20 m | Show |
50* MLB VEGAS SHARP MONEY TOP PLAY (Under 9.5) I'll gladly take my chances here with the Nationals and Brewers staying UNDER the mark of 9.5 set by the books. This is all about the starting pitching matchup and the strong home/away splits for today's two starters. Washington's Jeremy Hellickson has a 2.53 ERA and 0.961 WHIP in 9 road starts. Milwaukee's Junior Guerra has a 2.55 ERA and 1.217 WHIP in 11 home starts. UNDER is 7-2 in Hellickson's 9 road starts and 7-3-1 in Guerra's 11 home starts. Give me the UNDER 9.5! |
07-03-18 | Red Sox v. Nationals OVER 9 | Top | 11-4 | Win | 100 | 7 h 2 m | Show |
50* MLB INTERLEAGUE TOTAL OF THE MONTH (Over 9) These two teams combined for just 7 runs in Monday's series opener, but it could have been a lot higher scoring than that. Most notably the Nationals scored just 3 runs on 3 homers. That was also with two top tier starters on the mound in Scherzer and Porcello. With Brian Johnson going for Boston and Tanner Roark starting for Washington, I think both teams have the potential here to surpass the total on their own. Note that the conditions are going to be miserable for pitching with the heat index expected to be in the 100's. Give me the OVER 9! |
07-02-18 | Pirates v. Dodgers UNDER 7.5 | Top | 1-17 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 35 m | Show |
50* MLB VEGAS SHARP MONEY TOP PLAY (Under 7.5) I'll take my chances here with the Dodgers and Pirates staying UNDER the total of 7.5 in Monday's contest. The ball simply doesn't carry well in night games at Dodgers Stadium and I think this is a much better starting pitching matchup than a lot of people realize. Pittsburgh will send out Nick Kingham, who has a sensational 0.991 WHIP in 6 starts and has simply been unlucky to come in with a 3.82 ERA. As for LA, the Dodgers will turn to Alex Wood, who is trending in the right direction with a 2.89 ERA and 1.071 WHIP in his last 3 starts. I look for both teams to struggle to get much going offensively and for this to stay well under the mark. Give me the UNDER 7.5! |
06-05-18 | Marlins v. Cardinals UNDER 8 | Top | 7-4 | Loss | -117 | 12 h 27 m | Show |
50* MLB VEGAS SHARP MONEY TOP PLAY (Under 8) I'll take my chances here with St Louis and Miami staying UNDER the total of 8 set by the books. The Marlins' Jose Urena is just 0-7 with a 4.41 ERA, but has pitched much better than the numbers suggest and is coming off a strong outing in his last start against the Padres (allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 6 innings). Cardinals will counter with Carlos Martinez, who is 3-2 with a 1.62 ERA and 1.080 WHIP in 8 starts. It's also worth noting that the UNDER is 13-3 in St. Louis' 16 games this season when they are playing a team that's won fewer than 38% of their games. Give me the UNDER 8! |
06-04-18 | Yankees v. Tigers OVER 9.5 | 2-4 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 38 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL KNOCKOUT (OVER 9.5) The Yankees and Tigers should have no problem combining for at least 10 runs in Game 2 of their double-header on Monday. New York has one of the best lineups in baseball and are red-hot at the moment, having scored 23 runs on 47 hits in their last 4 games. They should have no problem keeping it rolling against the Tigers Michael Fiers, who has a 4.44 ERA and 1.335 WHIP in 10 starts. I also think Detroit's offense is going to be able to put up a big number, as the Yankees will send out Domingo German, who has a 6.64 ERA in 4 starts overall, a 9.41 ERA in his last 3 outings and in his lone road start this season he gave up 6 runs in just 3 2/3 innings at Texas. Give me the OVER 9.5! |
06-01-18 | Cubs v. Mets OVER 8.5 | 7-4 | Win | 100 | 20 h 21 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL NO-BRAINER (Over 8.5) I'll take my chances here with the Cubs and Mets going OVER the total of 8.5 set by the books. Chicago's hot offensively right now. The Cubs scored 5 runs in Thursday's win over New York and have scored at least 4 runs in 6 of their last 7. I like them to stay hot here against Mets' starter Zach Wheeler, who has a 5.40 ERA and 1.480 WHIP in 9 starts overall, a 6.19 ERA in his last 3 outings and a 7.36 ERA in 4 home starts. I also am expecting NY's offense to produce in this one. Cubs will send out Tyler Chatwood, who has struggled with control all season. Chatwood has 45 walks in 48 1/3 innings pitched. He's also got a 6.75 ERA and 2.530 WHIP in his last 3 starts. Give me the OVER 8.5! |
05-31-18 | Indians v. Twins UNDER 9.5 | Top | 9-8 | Loss | -109 | 9 h 21 m | Show |
50* MLB VEGAS SHARP MONEY TOP PLAY (UNDER 9.5) I'll gladly take my chances here with the Twins and Indians going UNDER the total of 9.5 on Thursday. I think we are seeing a bit of an inflated number here given how each offense comes into this series. Cleveland has scored 7 or more runs in 5 straight games, but the final 3 were against the White Sox and all 5 were at home. The Indians only average 3.9 runs/game on the road and will be up against a red-hot starter in Jake Odorizzi, who has a 2.12 ERA in his last 3 starts and 1.14 ERA in 4 home starts. Minnesota has scored 8 or more in 2 of their last 3, but that was against the Royals. The Indians will send out one of their top prospects in Shane Bieber and there's been nothing but good things said about this kid and I expect him to pitch well here. Give me the UNDER 9.5! |
05-30-18 | Cubs v. Pirates UNDER 8 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 10 h 40 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL NO-BRAINER (Under 8) I'll take my chances here with the Cubs and Pirates staying UNDER the mark of 8 set by the books. I really like both starters in this one. Chicago will start Kyle Hendricks, who is coming off a dominant outing against the Giants, where he allowed just 1 run on 2 hits with 7 strikeouts in 7 innings. Hendricks has also allowed 3 or fewer runs in each of his last 7 starts against Pittsburgh. Pirates will counter with Joe Musgrove, who was sensational in his first start of 2018, allowing just 5 hits with 7 strikeouts over 7 shutout innings. Take the UNDER 8! |
05-29-18 | Rays v. A's UNDER 8 | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 10 h 4 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL KNOCKOUT (Under 8) I'll take my chances with the A's and Rays staying UNDER the mark of 8 set here by the books. Tampa Bay won the series opener yesterday by a final score of 1-0. It continued a great stretch of pitching for the Rays, who have allowed 3 or fewer runs in 5 straight games. Hard to not like their chances of keeping that streak going, as they send out Blake Snell, who is 6-3 with a 2.78 ERA in 11 starts. Oakland's pitching has been equally impressive of late. The A's have allowed 3 or fewer runs in each of their last 3 games and 7 of their last 8 overall. They will give the rock to Daniel Gossett, who is off arguably his best start of the season against the Mariners, allowing just 1 run (unearned) on 4 hits in 7 innings. Give me the UNDER 8! |
05-29-18 | Angels v. Tigers UNDER 9 | Top | 9-2 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 12 m | Show |
50* MLB VEGAS SHARP MONEY TOP PLAY (Under 9) I'll take my chances here with the Tigers and Angels going UNDER the mark of 9 set by the books. This is a really high total given the circumstances. Detroit will send out one of their best starters here in Michael Fulmer, who has pitched well in each of his last 2 outings and owns a respectable 3.91 ERA and 1.224 WHIP in 4 home starts. He'll also be facing a struggling LA offense that has scored 3 or fewer in 3 of their last 4. Angels will send out Nick Tropeano, who has a 2.33 ERA and 1.035 WHIP in 3 road starts. Give me the UNDER 9! |
05-27-18 | Braves v. Red Sox UNDER 7.5 | 7-1 | Loss | -106 | 3 h 34 m | Show
40* MLB EARLY BIRD TOTAL NO-BRAINER (Under 7.5) I'll take my chances here with the Red Sox and Braves staying UNDER the mark of 7.5 set here by the books. It's going to feel like an early spring game, as temps are expected to be in the low 50's, which will definitely keep the ball from carrying. The wind will also be blowing straight in from right field at close to 20 mph. To top it all off, we got ourselves two really good starters on the mound in this one. Boston will send out ace Chris Sale, who is 5-1 with a 2.16 ERA in 11 starts and owns a 1.96 ERA at home. Atlanta will send out Mike Foltynewicz, who is 3-3 with a 2.72 ERA in 10 starts and owns a 2.02 ERA in 5 road outings and a 0.56 ERA in his last 3 starts. Take the UNDER! |
05-26-18 | Astros v. Indians UNDER 7.5 | 6-8 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 7 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL NO BRAINER (Under 7.5) I'll take my chances here with the Indians and Astros staying UNDER the mark of 7.5 set here by the books. These two have combined for at least 10 runs in each of the first two games of the series, but Houston has done all the heavy lifting. The Astros won 8-2 on Thursday and 11-2 yesterday. Last night's game was 2-0 Cleveland going into the 8th before Houston scored 4 runs and then added 7 more in the top of the 9th. I think Indians starter Carlos Carrasco can keep the Astros from going off here, while Cleveland continues to stay cold at the plate against the red-hot Lance McCullers (2.00 ERA last 3 starts). Give me the UNDER 7.5! |
05-24-18 | Orioles v. White Sox UNDER 9.5 | Top | 9-3 | Loss | -112 | 3 h 59 m | Show |
50* MLB EARLY BIRD TOTAL OF THE MONTH (UNDER 9.5) I'll gladly take my chances here with the White Sox and Orioles going UNDER the mark of 9.5 set by the books. Baltimore is in a funk offensively right now. The Orioles have scored just 6 runs in their last 4 games combined. I know the numbers aren't great for Chicago starter Lucas Giolito, but he has allowed 3 or fewer runs in 5 of his 9 starts. The White Sox aren't a great offensive team and I like Orioles starter Dylan Bundy to keep them in check. Bundy has been much better in his last 2 starts after a miserable 3-start stretch that saw him allow 19 runs. Bundy has also been sensational when he takes the mound in day games. He's got a 0.70 ERA and 1.091 WHIP in 4 day starts. Give me the UNDER 9.5! |
05-23-18 | Braves v. Phillies UNDER 8.5 | 0-4 | Win | 100 | 10 h 57 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL NO BRAINER (Under 8.5) I'll take my chances here with the Phillies and Braves staying UNDER the mark of 8.5 set by the books. Neither offense comes into this one in good form. Atlanta has scored just 3 runs in their last two games and the Phillies have managed just 5 run in their last 3. I don't see either offense getting it turned around in this one. Philadelphia will send out veteran Jake Arrieta, who has a 2.82 ERA in 8 starts. Arrieta also owns a 1.07 ERA in 4 home starts and is 3-1 with a 2.75 ERA in 5 career starts against the Braves. Atlanta counters with Luiz Gohara, who will be making his first start of 2018 after 3 quality outings out of the bullpen. Gohara started 5 games last year and really pitched well after a poor outing in his debut. His final start of 2017 came against the Phillies, where he allowed just 1 run on 5 hits with 9 strikeouts in 7 innings. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
05-20-18 | Padres v. Pirates UNDER 8.5 | Top | 8-5 | Loss | -105 | 3 h 31 m | Show |
50* MLB (NL) TOTAL OF THE MONTH (UNDER 8.5) I'll gladly take my chances here with Pittsburgh/San Diego finishing under the total set here of 8.5. I just think this is way too big a number given the form of today's two starters. San Diego will give the rock to Jordan Lyles, who appears to have figured something out. Lyles made his 2018 debut on 5/10 and allowed just 1 run with 6 strikeouts in 5 innings. He followed that up by allowing just 1 hit over 7 1/3 shutout innings. I'm buying these two starts in a big way. Lyles has 16 strikeouts to just 2 walks. Pittsburgh counters with Trevor Williams, who has a sensational 2.72 ERA in 9 starts overall and a 2.22 ERA in 4 outings at home. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
05-18-18 | Indians v. Astros UNDER 8 | Top | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 11 h 35 m | Show |
50* AMERICAN LEAGUE TOTAL OF THE MONTH (Under 8) I'll take my chances here with the Indians and Astros staying UNDER the mark set here by the books. The starting pitching matchup might not feature the elite names that you would expect to see for a pitcher's duel, but we got two of the best in the game for 2018 with Cleveland's Mike Clevinger and Houston's Charlie Morton. Clevinger is 3-0 with a 2.70 ERA and 1.069 WHIP in 8 starts and has a 0.83 ERA in 3 road outings. Morton is 5-0 with a 2.03 ERA and 0.966 WHIP in 8 starts and owns a 1.96 ERA in 4 home starts. Give me the UNDER 8! |
05-12-18 | Nationals v. Diamondbacks OVER 8 | 2-1 | Loss | -119 | 6 h 35 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL NO-BRAINER (OVER 8) These two offenses are simply too good to continue to produce at the anemic level they have the past few games. The two teams have combined for a whopping 7 runs in the first 2 games of this series. I think that's all about to change. While the Nationals will send out one of their better starters in Stephen Strasburg, he's been up or down and owns a mere 3.52 ERA in 8 starts. He also gave up 5 runs on 6 hits in 6 1/3 innings at home agains Arizona earlier this season. On the flip side of this, the Nationals could eclipse this total on their own. The Diamondbacks are calling up Troy Scribner to make a start from the minors and he's got a less than impressive 5.68 ERA at Triple-A Reno this year. Take the OVER 8! |
05-08-18 | Astros v. A's UNDER 8 | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 11 h 44 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL NO-BRAINER (Under 8) I'll take my chances here with the A's and Astros finishing UNDER the mark set here by the books. For me, it's all about the starting pitching matchup, which features two guys on top of their game early on in 2018. Houston will send out Lance McCullers, who is 4-1 with a 3.73 ERA in 7 starts and owns a 1.80 ERA and 0.950 WHIP in his last 3 outings. Oakland will give the rock to Sean Manaea, who has a 1.63 ERA and 0.664 WHIP in 7 starts overall and a 0.73 ERA and 0.405 WHIP in 3 starts at home. Take the UNDER 8! |
05-07-18 | Mets v. Reds OVER 9.5 | 7-6 | Win | 100 | 7 h 4 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL NO-BRAINER (Over 9.5) I'll take my chances here with the Mets and Phillies going OVER the mark set here by the books. Both teams should be in store for a big day at the plate. New York is being forced to call up P.J. Conlon to start this game and this isn't one of the prized prospects in the Mets organization. Conlon is just 1-2 with a 6.75 ERA at Triple-A and it's hard seeing him excel in one of the more hitter-friendly parks in his big league debut. Cincinnati will send out Homer Bailey, who is 0-4 with a 4.80 ERA and 1.246 WHIP in 7 starts. His last two outings, both at home, he's given up 9 runs on 13 hits (4 HRs) and has just 2 strikeouts in those 10 innings of work. Give me the OVER 9.5! |
05-06-18 | Phillies v. Nationals UNDER 7 | 4-5 | Loss | -105 | 3 h 19 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL KNOCKOUT (Under 7) I'll take my chances here with Sunday's MLB action between the Phillies and Nationals staying UNDER the total set by the books. Not a lot of explanation needed for why we can expect a bad offensive day for Philadelphia. The Nationals will be sending out Max Scherzer, who has arguably been the best starter of 2018. Scherzer is 6-1 with a 1.79 ERA and 0.816 WHIP in 7 starts. Most impressive is his 65 strikeouts in 45 1/3 innings. Phillies will counter with Jake Arrieta, who is coming off a poor start, but was dominant in his first 3. Arrieta should bounce back with a strong showing and limit Washington to keep us under the mark. Give me the UNDER 7! |
05-03-18 | Yankees v. Astros UNDER 8 | 6-5 | Loss | -115 | 4 h 36 m | Show
40* MLB AFTERNOON TOTAL KNOCKOUT (Under 8) I'll take my chances here with the Yankees and Astros going UNDER the mark of 8 set by the books. This entire series has been a pitchers duel. Houston won the series opener 2-1 and New York won both game 2 and game 3 by a final of 4-0. With the Yankees sending out Masahiro Tanaka and the Astros countering with Lance McCullers Jr., my money is on the offenses remaining in a funk. Tanaka has been lights out in his last 2 starts, allowing just 2 runs on 5 hits with 14 strikeouts in 12 2/3 innings. McCullers has a 0.90 ERA and 0.650 WHIP in his last 3 starts. Give me the UNDER 8! |
05-03-18 | Braves v. Mets OVER 9 | 11-0 | Win | 100 | 3 h 41 m | Show
40* MLB EARLY BIRD TOTAL NO-BRAINER (Over 9) I'll take my chances here with the Braves/Mets combining for at least 10 runs in Thursday's series finale. Atlanta might eclipse this number on their own. The Braves are averaging 5.6 runs/game in their last 7 (hitting .307 as a team). They are also average 7.0 runs in 9 day games this season. They will be facing Jason Vargas, who was downright awful in his first start of 2018, allowing 9 runs in 3 2/3 innings to the Padres in San Diego. I know the Mets' offense has been slumping, but I think they can get back on track here against Julio Teheran, who as a 5.00 ERA and 1.44 WHIP in 2 road starts. It's also ideal hitting conditions with temps in the low 90's and the wind blowing out to right center at 15+ mph. Give me the OVER 9! |
05-01-18 | Orioles v. Angels OVER 9 | 2-3 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 18 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL NO-BRAINER (Over 9) I'll take my chances here with Tuesday's matchup between the Angels and Orioles reaching at least 10 runs. This is about a favorable a pitching matchup for the offense you are going to find. Baltimore will send out Alex Cobb, who has a 13.11 ERA and 2.828 WHIP in 3 starts. Cobb has allowed at least 5 runs and 10 hits in all 5 outings. The bigger concern is that he's recorded just 4 strikeouts in 11 2/3 innings, which tells me he's not right and chances are he's not going to keep struggling. Angles will counter with Nick Tropeano, who has a 4.67 ERA and 1.385 WHIP in 3 starts. That's with throwing 6 2/3 shutout innings at KC against the horrible Royals offense. In his last 2 starts he's given up 9 runs on 11 hits and 5 walks in 10 2/3 innings of work. I think both teams have a shot of eclipsing this total on their own. Give me the OVER 9! |
04-27-18 | Rays v. Red Sox UNDER 8.5 | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 10 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL KNOCKOUT (Under 8.5) I'll take my chances here with the Rays and Red Sox finishing UNDER the mark set by the books. I think we have a real pitchers matchup in this one. Tampa will send out Blake Snell, who is 3-1 with a 2.54 ERA and 0.988 HWIP in 5 starts, which includes an outing agains these Red Sox where he allowed just 3 hits over 5 2/3 shutout innings. Boston will counter with Drew Pomeranz, who will be making just his second start of 2018. The first wasn't great, as he lasted just 3 2/3 innings after allowing 3 runs, but he did have 7 strikeouts and we know the talent is there from how well he pitched a year ago. I think he shines here at home against a relatively weak Tampa offense. Give me the UNDER 8.5! |
04-24-18 | Mets v. Cardinals UNDER 8 | 6-5 | Loss | -102 | 8 h 22 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL NO-BRAINER (Under 8) I'll take my chances here with the Cardinals and Mets finishing UNDER the total set here by the books. We have to solid starting pitchers taking the mound in a pitcher's park. New York will give the ball to Zack Wheeler, who allowed just 4 runs on 9 hits in 13 innings over his first 2 starts. St Louis will counter with Luke Weaver, who has pitched much better than his 4.22 ERA would suggest. Most of that damage to Weaver's ERA came in one start at Chicago, where he gave up 6 runs on 9 hits in 4 innings. Prior to that he'd allowed just 4 runs on 12 hits in 17 1/3 innings over 3 starts. Weaver was also fantastic in his lone start at home, allowing just 1 run on 3 hits with 7 K's in 6 1/3 innings against a really good Diamondbacks offense. Give me the UNDER 8! |
04-21-18 | Twins v. Rays UNDER 8 | 1-10 | Loss | -126 | 23 h 53 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL KNOCKOUT (Under 8) I'll take my chances here with the Twins and Rays going UNDER the mark set by the books. These two teams combined for 15 runs on Friday, but that was with a couple of struggling starters on the mound in Lance Lynn and Chris Archer. It's a different story in this one. Minnesota will give the ball to Kyle Gibson, who has a 3.68 ERA in 3 starts and the Rays will counter with Blake Snell, who has a 2.95 ERA in 4 starts. UNDER is 4-0-1 in Gibson's last 5 starts on the road and 6-2-1 in the Twins last 9 vs a left-handed starter. UNDER is also 6-2 in the Rays last 8 vs a right handed starter. Give me the UDNER 8! |
04-20-18 | Marlins v. Brewers OVER 9 | 0-8 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 32 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL NO-BRAINER (Over 9) I'll gladly take my chances with Friday's game between the Brewers and Marlins going over the mark set by the books. Miami isn't a great offensive team, but they should be able to push across a few more runs than normal against the struggling Jhoulys Chacin of the Brewers. Chacin has posted a 5.60 ERA and 1.924 WHIP in 4 starts and is averaging just 4.4 innings/start. If by chance Chacin pitches well, I still think we got a great shot of going over, as I could see Milwaukee eclipsing this total on their own. The Brewers did just that last night, as they put up 12 runs on 13 hits. Hard to not see another big night at the plate given Miami is sending out Trevor Richards, who has a 4.70 ERA and 1.370 WHIP in 3 starts. He also struggles to pitch deep in games (avg. 5.1 innings), which is worth noting given the Marlins bullpen has posted a 9.20 ERA and 1.871 WHIP in 6 road games this season. Give me the OVER! |

04-19-18 | Pirates v. Phillies UNDER 7.5 | 0-7 | Win | 100 | 10 h 5 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL NO BRAINER (Under 7.5) I'll take my chances here with the Pirates and Phillies staying UNDER the mark set here by the books. I just don't see either team generating much offense in this one. Pittsburgh will send out Jameson Taillon, who has looked like a legit Cy Young Candidate in his first 3 starts, posting a 0.89 ERA and 0.689 WHIP, which includes a complete game shutout against the Reds back on 4/8. Philadelphia will send out one of their key free agent signings in Jake Arrieta, who after a shaky first start was much better the second time around, allowing just 2 earned runs in 6 2/3 innings at Tampa Bay. Adding to the value here is mother nature figures to help out both starters. Temps will be in the 40's with the wind blowing straight in from left field at close to 20 mph. Give me the UNDER 7.5! |

04-17-18 | Giants v. Diamondbacks UNDER 8 | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 11 h 46 m | Show
40* MLB OVER/UNDER TOTAL NO BRAINER (UNDER 8) I'll take my chances here with the Giants and Diamondbacks staying well below the mark set here by the books. I just feel there's too much value to pass up with the total sitting at 8 runs given the starting pitching matchup we have here. San Francisco will send out Johnny Cueto, who returns from an ankle injury. It's back to full strength and given it wasn't an arm related issue, I see no reason not to expect him to return to the form that saw him post a 0.69 ERA and 0.846 WHIP in his first 2 starts. On the flip side of this, I don't see the Giants scoring much either. For starters SF doesn't have a great offense and they are going up against Pat Corbin, who is 2-0 with a 2.45 ERA and 0.927 WHIP in 3 starts. What really stands out is the 29 strikeouts he's recorded in 18 1/3 innings of work. Give me the UNDER 8! |

04-17-18 | Cardinals v. Cubs UNDER 7.5 | Top | 5-3 | Loss | -119 | 9 h 13 m | Show |
50* MLB VEGAS SHARP MONEY TOP PLAY (UNDER 7.5) I'll gladly take my chances here with Game 1 of this NL Central rivalry going UNDER the mark set by the books. It's all about the conditions when it comes to betting the total in Chicago's home games. Today is going to favor the pitchers, as temps will be in the 30's with the wind blowing straight in from center. I also like the pitching matchup. St Louis will send out Adam Wainwright, who is coming off a great start against the Brewers and allowed just 4 runs over 19 2/3 innings in his 3 starts against the Cubs last year. Chicago countess with Tyler Chatwood, who I think is going to have a great season now that he's not pitching half his games at Coors Field. Give me the UNDER 7.5! |
