New York Yankees at Seattle 10:10 ET
Yankees over Mariners- The price on this game has me wondering how the Yankees who have lost seven of their last 10 averaging only 2.5 runs while Seattle has won three straight and eight of their last nine contests. The Mariners have already swept the Yankees three games in New York earlier this season and now they are an underdog at home with Hisashi Iwakuma (4-2, 2.66 ERA) on the hill and he is 1-1 with a 3.18 ERA lifetime against the Yankees. New York starts Vidal Nuno (1-2, 5.33) who is winless in his last five starts and yet he is favored on the road. As I've said before 'It don't make sense.' Take the YANKEES!

Tonight winless Hector Santiago (0-6, 4.82 ERA) is matched against the A's Drew Pomeranz (5-3, 2.20) who has surrendered just 34 hits in 45 innings with a WHIP of 1.16. The numbers seem so one-sided and yet the Angles are favored and give me pause. I'm on the ANGELS!

San Diego is entering an eight-game road trip and will be sending Ian Kennedy (5-6, 3.39 ERA) to the mound and he's now won three straight. Kennedy is 2-1 career wise against Philadelphia limiting them to a .214 batting average. A.J. Barnett (3-5, 4.41) has dropped four of his last five decisions and is 2-6 lifetime against San Diego. Phillies over Angels- For the Phillies to be such a strong favorite raises my eyebrows as they are 6-9 at home while Los Angeles is 11-7 on the road and and they aren't even a .500 ball club. As a matter of fact the Phillies are just 6-13 in their last 19 home games and they have struggled with inter-league games winning just nine of 33 while the Angles are 8-2 in their last 10 inter-league contests. So, why such heavy favorites...Take them with Lee...PHILADELPHIA!

This season he has yet to post a win but the Pirates did manged to win three times while he received a no-decision. He has surrendered just 14 hits in his last 19 innings in his last three starts with a WHIP of 1.19. The Cards are only 11-13 on the road while the pirates are 11-10 at home and get the win tonight. Arizona who has won just three of 18 games at home are a respectable 11-10 away from the desert. Maybe that's the reason the D'Backs are favored or because Chicago's starter Hector Noesi (0-2, 8.27 ERA) has been bombed for 23 hits in only 16 innings while Arizona will get give Chase Anderson his MLB start. Lester has given up 43 hits in 48.2 innings while tonight's mound opponent Martin Perez is 4-2 with a 3.59 and only 41 hits in 47.2 innings. Just seems odd that the Red Sox are favored here.
