Taking OHIO STATE. I think there is just a big talent gap here. Irish won't be able to slow down the Buckeyes. Probably a 20 point win. I also like the UNDER in this one. I don't think Notre Dame gets more than 10. 4* Money Maker OHIO STATE

Going with MINNESOTA tonight. The old Belk Bowl. Continental Tire Bowl. Meineke Bowl. Thank goodness for Duke's Mayo taking over this bad boy! Who wants to see a coach hit with a muffler or a tire! Mayo Dumps for the win! Hokies already going with a backup QB in this one due to injury. They also have 5 other starters that are in the portal, another half dozen opt outs, and I see here on Tuesday that it is possible that they can be missing as many as 14 starters overall. This line was 4.5, then jumped to 6.5/7. I am seeing some 9s now, so it is possible that guys are sitting. We have been on different sides of crazy line moves so we aren't taking anything for granted with a better number right now. 4* Money Maker MINNESOTA GOLDEN GOPHERS

Well. This one totally went the wrong way. We look good with Baylor at a Pk and now -3. This one, not so much. We have had a good bowl season overall but this one will bit us on the website. I was thinking the Bama guys would bail on the coach and hit the portal or draft. Not the case. They will play in the ReliaQuest Bowl! This was the Hall of Fame Bowl from 1986-1995 then the Outback Bowl from 1996-2022. What ever happened to Outback? Texas Roadhouse over take them I guess? Enough eats. I liked Michigan because they are still an 'elite' in name program that would be pumped up to play the big, bad SEC Alabama Crimson Tide. But the Tide are the team with their draft guys playing as DeBoer expects them to go full length here. While it is the Michigan team getting the opt outs. The line now 14. If you haven't played it, I WOULD NOT. I now would be taking Alabama with the updated rosters. I had no problem staying with Coastal when we had +7 and it went up. But not here. 

Taking MISSOURI here. Normally I would be looking at the better defensive team getting points.  But Iowa is suspect on offense for me. Their best weapon, RB Johnson is out. There is a drop off to the next guys. QB wise looks like Iowa sticking with Sullivan who took over for McNamara has tossed for 344 yards 2 TDs and 2 INTs.  Good news though is that the opt outs aren't that huge for a mid tier bowl. Missouri looking for win #10 will be without their Top WR Burden who led team in TDs. But WR Wease led team in yardage and 2nd in receptions is playing. Getting down early and the line hasn't moved much. I also like the Under in this one, but have not played it4* Money Maker MISSOURI

Taking BYU. Well. Hats off to Coach Prime. I had these pegged Under 5.5 +145 and here they are bowling vs the 10-2 Cougars looking for their 10th win of the season. I was wrong. But we move on. Also- a big thumbs up to Hunter and Sanders playing in this thing. These 2 guys could have sat out and nobody would have batted an eye. In todays portal, opt out land, arguably the top overall player in the draft and probably 2 of the top 3 players in the draft play in the Alamo Bowl. Great job gentleman. And Coach Sanders, 1-11 to 9-3. That being said - give me the dogs! Colorado is a team that will get everyone's best shot. The line says the stars play. Buffs took out insurance on both. But my concern with them, and other guys who we thought may sit, do they play the entire game. I would think they would because why suit up, play a half, sit out, and watch your brothers lose. Cougars will be ready for this pass attack. BYU is a little engine that could squad that won't be intimidated by the flash. BYU will bring the defense here. Taking TEXAS TECH. Bring back the old SWC Conference! Some former foes meeting up in the Liberty Bowl. Both teams torched by opt outs and portals. Red Raiders QB (injured) and 7 starters out. Razorbacks lose 12 starters and at last count nearly 30 guys in the portal. Razorbacks have their HC while TT has a pair of assistants running the show. I like that more in this spot as they are more familiar with the depth guys and can maybe add some new wrinkles. 4* Money Maker TEXAS TECH

Taking NAVY. This is why you watch my daily Mid Day Money show or get a monthly pass on the website. Unlike our Coastal +7 that soared to 11, this one goes the other way. We will take it. I thought Navy could win outright before the move, and I really like them to win this one now. Sooners sneaked into the bowls going 6-6 - but this team is a hot mess. A new OC coming to town. Starting QB signed with Auburn. #2 WR is off to Kentucky - #3 WR is questionable -  #4 WR off to Mississippi State. You have another wide out in the portal. Might be looking at 7 Freshman at WR here. And their top pass catcher, TE Sharp, signed with LSU.  The defense lost some secondary guys, but the line move here is based on the totally depleted offense. Zero lack of motivation for Service Academy schools. Midshipmen outright! 4* Money Maker NAVY

Going TOLEDO. If Holstein is indeed out like we are seeing, this will probably come down another half point or a full point. This line did open 9.5/10 and he was always questionable. I like taking the small school vs big school. That can be the first weeks of the season, or here in bowls. Slight 'rivalry' as both schools are in neighboring states. Lets cash some MACTion early! 4* Money Maker TOLEDO ROCKETS

Taking NORTHERN ILLINOIS. Yes. We don't have our QB as he has hit the portal. He was solid sure, 1600 yards, 12TDs 6 Ints - but this team runs the ball and their top RB will play. The defense is also a solid unit, giving up 18ppg, 15th best in the land. Fresno QB Mikey Keene is out. And they don't run the ball like the Huskies do. Better offense, better defense. We will lay it with the short favorite.  4* Money Maker NORTHERN ILLINOIS

Taking COASTAL CAROLINA. Well. We had a good run of taking games early work in our favor with some lines. This one clearly has not as you can get CC at +10 as I write this on Friday. This is being played on the Coastal home field. They have a ton of guys in the portal including their top 2 QBs. But we had Georgia Southern the other night vs Sam Houston. Sam Houston had 21 guys in the portal and looked pretty good in a win. Coastal will be rolling out a redshirt freshman QB in who transferred from North Carolina. Maybe we get some home field magic. The +10 won't help the stats here on the site, but it will help in the real world on Monday when this game kicks off. 4* Money Maker COASTAL CAROLINA

Taking MONTANA STATE. Trip to the FCS Championship on the line. South Dakota off a great 11-2 season winning the Missouri Valley Football Conference for the first time. This is their first FCS Semifinal appearance. The undefeated Bobcats are the #1 ranked FCS team and are ranked in the Top 10 in both total offense and total defense. Montana State also ranks first in scoring offense and red zone offense, second in rushing offense, top 10 in scoring defense, and top 20 in rushing defense. Just too much offense that will wear down the Coyotes. 4* Money Maker MONTANA STATE

Taking FLORIDA. I think we have 2 teams with different motivations. Tulane thought their HC would head to greener pastures. He stayed. But his starting QB and his backup both left New Orleans. We get a 3rd stringer. Now - he is a transfer from Oregon. A former 5* recruit. But barely sniffed the field in 4 years of college ball. I can't see some huge offense from these guys. They lost their last 2 games that cost them a possible playoff spot, or at least a much better bowl. 34-24 to Memphis and then in the AAC Championship Game 35-14. Now they get a revived Gators team in a quasi home game. Billy Napier was all but fired after a bad start. But you reel off wins over LSU, Ole Miss and Florida State and the swagger is back in The Swamp. After 6-7 and 5-7 seasons, 7-5 and a bowl game - no lack of motivation for Florida today. 4* Money Maker FLORIDA 

Taking GEORGIA SOUTHERN tonight. Really this is a just a fade away on Sam Houston. Their HC is off to Temple. 21 scholarship players are in the portal. This is Sam Houston. That is a lot of guys. Your duel threat QB is here, but your top rushing RB is out. Your Top WR is out. Your leading tackler + INT leader out. 8 of the 12 INTs you got all year have left (2 other guys). Your sack leader. There is just a lot of depth lost. Too much to overcome. 4* Money Maker GEORGIA SOUTHERN 

Taking JAMES MADISON. Another game we are ahead of the Line Move. Memphis at a PK was nice. Let's see how this one works out. A lot of portal pieces moving in this one. Sometimes this portal guys come back and end up playing. But 6.5 up to 9.5, well, we will just have to see. We know the James Madison will not have their QB as he is hurt. Billy Atkins has been here for 4 years with limited experience. We had WKU and they got absolutely pummeled last week vs Jacksonville State, 52-17. Both QBs for the Hilltoppers, starter Veltkemp and backup Finely have entered the portal. Again. the 3pt line move makes me think they are not suiting up. WKU comes in limping with losses in 3 of their last 4. The win, 19-17 on a 50 yard FG as time expired. Taking SOUTH CAROLINA STATE. If you don't know, the Celebration Bowl is the SWAC and MEAC Champions - 2 HCU's. I do think we see some points and would lean to the over. That being said, give me the Bulldogs of South Carolina State. Would have liked to have the opener at +3, but I think an outright win is on the horizon for us. These 2 met in 2021 with South Carolina State winning 31-10. The played last year in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge and Jackson State won 37-7. Jackson State is ranked 18th and South Carolina State 20th, in the FCS Top 25 poll. SCST QB won the HBCU+ National Player of the Year Award. Jackson State RB finished 2nd. JSU is going to want to run the ball. RB Mulligan SWAC OPOY 1200 yards 11 TDs - Team averaged 37ppg. SCST was the top run defense in the MEAC giving up 115 yards a game. I think the QB + OL for SCST pulls this out for us. 4* Money Maker SOUTH CAROLINA STATE

Taking UL LAFAYETTE. Oh the Ragin' Cajuns for me tonight. Marshall with their 3rd straight road game and 4th in 5 weeks. Come on! That is rough for an NFL team. Or good CFB teams that travel on Private Planes. Marshall probably on school buses, maybe a fancy charter.  And they are off a 2 OT game where they came from behind last week over James Madison.  As Charles Barkley loves to say Turrrabull. Thundering Herd 11-1 ATS on the year, so yeah, there is that. Losses to at Virginia Tech 31-14 Ohio State 49-14 and at Georgia Southern 24-23, 3 TDs and a safety for the home in the 4th to pull that rabbit out of the hat. ULL dropped a 41-33 game to Tulane and 24-22 to South Alabama. Don't worry if have the backup QB Fields under center. This guy has been at ULL since 2019!  Guy is 273-426 24 TDs 8 INTs. He has played before putting up 1000 yard season the previous 2 years in 7/8 games. 4* Money Maker UL LAFAYETTE

Taking UNLV. Bosie was a 4 point in Vegas and won 29-24 at the end of October. Rebels only team to contain Jeanty (128 yards 33 carries 1 TD). A rematch of the October game, a rematch of last year's MWC Championship as well. Their QB last year Maiava tossed a couple INTs in that one, cost them the game. How about the same Maiava with b2b 99 + 100 yard INTs vs ND Saturday night! Yikes.  Anyway. This line is basically the same. Will have to grab the dog here. I like Odom and what a turnaround the last 2 years. The defense for UNLV is what I think propels them to an outright win here. 4* Money Maker UNLV  

Taking WESTERN KENTUCKY. Hilltoppers ready to deal b2b losses here as they won on a last second FG 19-17 on Saturday. Last year these guys played in a 20-17 game. And now you want to give me more than a FG when it looks like Rich Rod is at the top of list to take the HC job at West Virginia? I think the line up says that Huff will play tonight for JSU. All that being said, I think this a fairly even game. Home Field + quick revenge and this is the line?  4* Money Maker WESTERN KENTUCKY

Taking TEXAS A&M. Winner is in the SEC Championship Game. Had Auburn last week in that wild one. HC Elko said last week their focus was on Texas, I mean Auburn.  He said that! So a dead look ahead spot and they still nearly pulled it off. Is Texas the better team. Yes. That is why the line opened at 3.5 or whatever it was and moved up a bit. But give me the home dog. One. I like Elko a lot more than Sark. Ewers is banged up, but Longhorns should be fine. This game should be a close one. Do I love the Aggies outright. Eh, I think they can get there. Do I believe this will be a close game? Absolutely. Texas has been pretty steady all season. But covering the number? They haven't done in 4 of the last 5. 4* Money Maker TEXAS A&M 

Taking ARKANSAS. I thought Pittman would be on the hot seat and bringing in an ex coach to run the offense might be a problem. So at 6-5, the people are not happy. But losing to Texas, Texas A&M, Ole Miss and LSU? Come on. Are those bad losses? This is Arkansas football? When has been near any of those programs. This is a winnable game with a team not in desperate mode, but a team I think that likes their coach. Missouri has 1 good win beating Vandy! A surprise Vandy team and that was 30-27 and they were 17.5 point favorites. They beat Oklahoma, Mississippi State and Auburn (21-17 -3.5 here at home) - The Razorbacks beat Tennessee after losing 21-17 at A&M. We had them covering vs Texas. I think we win this one outright. 4* Money Maker ARKANSAS

Taking VANDERBILT. Vandy 7-1 ATS as an underdog this year. I can go back to Vols/ Oklahoma at the start of the season. Oh - look at this Tennessee offense. 69 vs Chattanooga 51 vs NC State 71 vs Kent (winless on the year!!) - Then they get into SEC play. 23 points a game. Now laying double digits on the road vs a team that has covered all 5 of the games they were double digit dogs, won 2 outright, lost 2 by 3 points and 1 by 7. Another home outright dog perhaps?

  Taking COLORADO STATE. 5 straight and 6 of 7 for the Rams (6-1 ATS). These 2 haven't played vs each other since 2020 so no recent history. Fresno with a pair of losses their last 2 at Air Force and home vs Hawaii. Line here for me is Fresno off bye. And normally, I am on that bye week team. No lack of motivation for CSU, as with a win here and next week, they will be in the MWC Championship Game. But we are getting ahead of ourselves. A win is fine, but we can also lose a tough one and cover. 4* Money Maker COLORADO STATE 

  Taking NEVADA. Well, Air Force has now won 2 in a row after dropping 7 straight. A 28-0 win over Oregon State has this game priced under a FG. I don't see it. Nevada beat Oregon State also. They are also in off a bye week. I love me some bye week home teams that's for sure, especially for a team that had dropped 4 in a row. 4* Money Maker NEVADA WOLFPACK

Taking UCLA. Bruins had been playing good ball before last weeks loss at Washington. Three straight outright wins as underdogs. Maybe too much thinking they could do it 4 straight times, and on the road. But here at home vs a rival as a doggy - sign me up. They are 6-2 ATS last 8, all as a dog. USC destroys the entire PAC 12 to lose games at Maryland and Minnesota. I am sure Lincoln Riley is so pumped! 5-5. What a disaster. I have the better defense, and getting points. Taking ARMY. This game is at Yankee Stadium. I know the Irish rolled Navy. If you tell me now that Army will have 5 fumbles lost and an INT, well, Notre Dame in a blowout. Getting 2 TDs with a team that holds onto the ball for 35 minutes a game is worth the look for me. Army also in off another bye week which only helps. 4* Money Maker ARMY BLACK KNIGHTS

Taking BAYLOR. Would love to see Houston do well going forward. 2 kids on my son's team are going to Houston next year to play for Coach Fritz. But today, we are on the Bears. Houston offense just not doing it for me. 3-24-17-14-30-0-0-33-12-7. I think Baylor is better than Rice and TCU who the Cougs scored 33 and 30 against. Bears offense humming lately 49-37-38-59.  Taking OLE MISS. Rebels off their bye week. If this game was right after that Georgia win we would be on the home dog. That is not the case. Gators off upset win against LSU. They have Florida State, a much easier opponent on deck to get them their 6th win and a bowl spot. Ole Miss is 6th in the SEC and 9th in the playoff bracket. How does that happen? Well, lose to Kentucky 20-17 at home and then lose an OT game at LSU that's how. I am a Kiffin guy and I think the offense is too much for Florida to handle here. 4* Money Maker OLE MISS REBELS 

 Taking SMU. Mustangs sitting at 9-1 with a home loss to BYU (we had BYU) as their only blemish. Virginia comes in losers of 3 of 4 and 5-5 on the year. Tough to get 6 wins here vs SMU and at Virginia Tech next. I don't' expect them to lay down. Virginia QB Colandrea with 3 INTs (12 TD 11 INT on year) vs ND last week and was pulled. Do they start Muskett? With 2 games left if you are having QB problems, you really aren't a team i would want to be backing. SMU a win from the ACC Championship Game and just as important, at 13, just outside the Playoff window. 4* Money Maker SMU

Taking MICHIGAN STATE. Hey - Sparty is not playing well at all. QB Chiles has been sacked 26 times the last 6 games and are 1-6 their last 7.  Michigan State needs 2 wins for a bowl and here is 1 on a silver platter. Boilermakers have score 10-0-20-0-(49?? how Illinois!!) 6-10-21-7 --- Dreadful. One team motivated, the other deflated. 4* Money Maker MICHIGAN STATE

Taking UTSA. Temple fires their coach AFTER a WIN. Owls win total was 3.. They have 3! What is the plan Temple? What kind of message does that send to players. I'll tell.- Hi, I am looking to find out about the transfer portal. Roadrunners putting up monster numbers lately. 48-44-45-38 their last 4. UTSA needs a win for a bowl spot. 10 TDs 1 INT 1120 yards last 4 games passing for QB McCown. 4* Money Maker UTSA ROADRUNNERS

Taking MIAMI OHIO. RedHawks finding their groove after a slow start. Look. Putting up 6-16-3 vs Northwestern Cincinnati and Notre Dame to start the year isn't terrible. When the MAC begins, these guys are now 5-1 winning their last 5. Offense putting up 30+ in 4 of the last 5 also. Will lay the short number with the home team tonight. 4* Money Maker MIAMI OHIO 

Taking KANSAS. Oh my man Jesse Schule will get on me for this one. He calls them Vampire BYU. Something like 30-3 in night-games. Like they are The Lost Boys preying on the boardwalk of Santa Carla in 1987! But back to 2024. BYU is ranked 6 in the Playoff Poll. And the line was a FG. Get outta here. Kansas 0-5 in their 1 possession games. That is some bad mojo. They beat Iowa State outright. Nearly won at Kansas State on the road. Cougars are ripe for the picking. 4* Money Maker KANSAS

Taking MICHIGAN STATE. Remember when the Illini were 5-1 and people thought they were good. The loss, at Penn State, nothing to be ashamed for. Now a pair of b2b losses at Oregon and home to Minnesota and 2 road games to close out the year, 6 or 7 wins seems disappointing. Both teams off bye weeks. I have more faith in Sparty here. Bielema 5-10-2 ATS as a home favorite. Line has ticked down, but I think that is because MSU QB Chiles should be good to go here Saturday. 4* Money Maker MICHIGAN STATE

Taking ARKANSAS. Line has dropped a bit. Maybe people see Pittman 21-0 ATS as a dog in his career and want to buy in. Not many other reasons to like the Razorbacks. Texas looked good last game. Kentucky on deck before closing out vs A&M, so no look ahead looming. With Georgia and Miami losing, Texas with their 1 loss is climbing even with their loss to Georgia. Even in their 32 point win over the Gators, Florida rushed for nearly 200 yards. If you do that on the road as a big favorite, you won't be covering much. Arkansas won here vs Texas in 2022 40-21. Not saying we get an outright win, but we will be in this thing. Razorbacks off their bye week should be able to hang here and cover this number. 4* Money Maker ARKANSAS

Taking TOLEDO. 8 straight road games losses for Central Michigan. 4 straight losses in MAC action the last month. Rockets 9-1 last 10 at home - that loss, their last home game to Bowling Green. Time to make the fans happy. CMU has a bad offense and worse defense. In the past, Toledo has been a terrible double digit favorite. 8-2 ATS last 10 vs Chips. The bad loss at home their last game out. Backup QB for the visitors. Last week they threw the ball 14 times, 5 completions, 63 yards passing. That is not a recipe for success on the road. 4* Money Maker TOLEDO ROCKETS

Taking OKLAHOMA. Well. Another reason why you be on a weekly or monthly pass. Line has now gone to Sooners -3 with the Missouri QB out. Although I do not love it as much as getting points, Is Drew Pyne going to throw 3 INTs this game like he did in his game vs Bama? He has a bye week to get things corrected. He will need his old Irish team luck vs the Sooners. They are no great shakes themselves. Dropping 54 on Maine is great for a team that that in their last 4 games combined! Huge game for Vrabel and Oklahoma with Alabama and LSU on deck and them being 5-4. He needs 6 for a bowl, or he is probably out. Arnold has not been that terrible at QB for them. I think him and Barnes should be able to put some points up on the Tigers here. 4* Money Maker OKLAHOMA SOONERS

Taking LSU. Well - one of these guys will be out of the playoffs by the end of this game tonight. My guess ~ Alabama to the showers. Clearly not the same team of years past. I think the coaching change is a reason why. Not that DeBoer is a bad coach. But, year 1 replacing the maybe the best ever. Lot of moving parts here coach, staff, player, scheme wise. LSU with the revenge angle off last years 42-28 loss. They pulled it out here in 2022 32-31 in OT as now Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels connected on a 2pt conversion for the upset as 13 point dogs. Not as much as a dog here, but I expect Kelly to have his team ready to go. Chinks in the Tide armor and every team that has been stepped on the last decade wants a lick. Another outright winner perhaps. 4* Money Maker LSU

Taking OLE MISS. I thought in August that Georgia was the best team in the land. I don't think that in November. Carson Beck has been a turnover machine with 8 INTs the last 3 games. I guess we can say that is impressive to throw 3 picks vs Texas and win by 15 on the road. But that kind of stuff catches up to you. Not to compare it to South Carolina last week who we had over A&M. But teams that are playing with fire, tend to get burned. They barely got past a Florida team with a 3rd string walk-on at QB. Ole Miss has a cat who just tossed 6 TDs last week, on the road to boot! If Lane Kiffin goes down here, Rebels out of the playoffs. I think offense gets us the upset today. 4* Money Maker OLE MISS

Taking SAN JOSE STATE. Spartans catch the Beavers on a 3 game slide and really slumping as Cal pummeled them 44-7.  Defense has been a bit shoddy for Oregon State. 44-33-43-31 their last 4 games. San Jose puts up 27, which means, at least 30 the way the Beavers have been playing. Road dog might pull this one outright. 4* Money Maker SAN JOSE STATE 

Taking NORTH TEXAS. Another bye week team. I know Mean Green has been trouble stopping the run. But let's look at this line. 6.5 and now on Friday I am seeing 2.5s and 3s. And I am guessing, which is why I liked NT here, Army looks to be without QB Daily. 900 yards rushing 19 TDs.. Plus the guy has thrown 13 TDs! Part of the reason why Army is 8-0 on the year.  Mean Green can lock up a bowl spot here. 4* Money Maker NORTH TEXAS

Taking KANSAS. We love our bye week teams. Kansas has beaten the Cyclones the last 2 games. Do they win out for a bowl? I don't know. I think they pull this puppy out though. I would really have loved this spot if Iowa State eked out Texas Tech last week at home. Not lose to them. They are off b2b bad games. One a loss, the other a come from behind 38-35 win. A TD with 30 seconds left saves them.  Maybe Jayhawks get some KC Chiefs mojo from playing in Arrowhead! 4* Money Maker KANSAS JAYHAWKS

Taking UCLA. Just a team playing hard right now. I do have the Iowa Over 7.5 win ticket that I am still hopeful on. But after a slow start and a bunch of losses, Bruins have shown some heart. Ugly win at Hawaii. Lose to Indiana, LSU, Oregon, Penn State, Minnesota. I think 3 of those are Top 10 teams. Where is the bad loss? They could have packed it at 1-5. They didn't - went on the road, got up 35-19 and won at Rutgers. We had them last week off their bye week and catching points vs Nebraska. Iowa can win this one, sure. But do they cover? Taking PITT. Grabbing the guys with a little extra rest. Both teams lack luster last week. We will start with Pitt 31-0 out the door over Syracuse. Well - 3 Pick 6's, 5 INTs all day. Yes. You will lose the yardage game and get a little too comfortable. SMU in off a wild one. Duke scored and gets the conversion to force OT. SMU scores TD first. Duke responds - then goes for the 2 and the win. Nope. SMU hangs out. I just don't know if 7.5 is the right number here. Normally I am grabbing favorites in 7.5 or 3.5 spots. But this one seems off. This is the ACC not AAC. I know it is down a bit. But I think both teams are about the same. SMU lone lost at home as 10pt faves 18-15 to a now ranked Top 10 BYU club. I think this is a close one also. 4* Money Maker PITTSBURGH 

Taking SOUTH CAROLINA. I do like this A&M team, but they have been playing with fire the last few weeks. Off a huge win at LSU. A win where they were outgained, got 2 TO's from LSU, and the Tigers missed 3 FGs. As I said, playing with fire. Outgained in 3 of their last 4. Gamecocks off a bye week. We can say they should have beat both LSU and Alabama. 4* Money Maker SOUTH CAROLINA

Taking COASTAL CAROLINA. A good spot off their bye week, Coastal had dropped 2 in a row. Now they have some time to right the ship and with a win here, bowl season. Troy was Sun Belt Champs last year, now, 1-7. Coastal in the habit of crushing bad teams going 12-1 SU and 11-1-1 ATS vs bottom feeders. 4* Money Maker COASTAL CAROLINA 

Taking NORTH CAROLINA. Now. As much as I don't love the Tarheels, I think Florida State is A B SO L U T E L Y DONE! I will be shocked if they have much fan support in this one. There is no home field. The coach is all but out the door. The offense is nearly invisible.  After being written off when James Madison blitzed them 70-50, and they blow a 20-0 lead at Duke, you would think they would in a Florida State-like freefall. But they battle Pitt 24-24, before Pitt pulls away in the 4th. They are down 27-14 vs Georgia Tech, get to 27-24, lose 41-34. Again. Not quitting even when down. Last week 41-14 win on the road. One thing they haven't lost in North Carolina, their heart. And sometimes that is all you need when they other side has quit.  4* Money Maker NORTH CAROLINA TARHEELS

Taking UCLA. Bruins haven't quit on the season after a terrible start. Now off their bye week, the get Nebraska who gave it their all only to fall short vs Ohio State. 4* Money Maker UCLA

Taking PENN STATE. Alright. Toss out both teams games last week. You know this game was much more important and both escaped with ugly wins. I know we have some QB questions with Allar questionable. And James Franklin is not anywhere close to being a guy I like to bet on big games. But Ryan Day (2-6 vs Top 5 teams) is no great shakes himself. Will Howard - eh. Nice season, but - saw him lose in a shootout at Oregon already. Last year saw him lost in a shoot-out at Texas. Saw him edge TCU in OT and lose to Bama in playoffs. Big game experience. Not many wins. Getting points. Home field. Give me that home dog. 4* Money Maker PENN STATE

Taking SYRACUSE. wow. 5 INTs 3 Pick 6s. You better believe that Syracuse with some extra time to stew about their last game will look to be very crisp and error free this afternoon. Hokies a nice squad, but with their top RB banged up, I side with the home dogs. 4* Money Maker SYRACUSE

Taking LAFAYETTE tonight. ULL is 6-1 and on a 4 game win streak. The loss vs Tulane, probably the best team in the AAC. No shame losing that one. Let's not even bother 10 straight up wins and a 9-1 ATS run for the Ragin' Cajuns in this series. Texas State is 4-3, and have been nobody. They were 33 point faves over Lamar - won 34-27. ULL QB has 15 TD 4 INT and completing nearly 70% of his passes. They have a pair of good RBs that are gashing for over 6.5 ypc. Taking TEXAS A&M. What a love/ hate relationship I have with these guys. I think with NIL, these guys can absolutely get the best players with the money they have. Getting Ws, that has been a problem. But I love their new HC. Elko is a good coach. So 2nd straight road game for LSU after winning at Arkansas- bye week, then Alabama. They score a win their QB not throwing a touchdown. 3 turnovers by Arkansas helped. The RB had 101 yards. 34-10 looks like a dominate win - it wasn't. Keeping with shoddy QB play, A&M fits that bill also. Connor Weigman not inspiring Heisman hype this season with 3 TDs 4 INTs. But this is a team game, and the Aggies have a defense. Somehow Mississippi State scored 24 on them. Most they allowed all season! Maybe it was a flat spot as the Tigers of LSU loomed on deck. They lost to LSU last year 42-30, and these 2 have rotated wins the last 7 times they have met. Doesn't mean the Aggies take care of business, but hey, it works for me since I think A&M wins by 10 tonight. 4* Money Maker TEXAS A&M

Taking MISSOURI. Are you really thinking about running to Alabama, because - No way they can lose 2 in a row! Hello McFly.. Anybody home? This is not Saban Alabama. They guys blew a massive lead, AT HOME to Georgia (yes Georgia is good). They followed that up losing to Vanderbilt. Vandy folks, Vandy - Then they need a miracle to win 27-25 against South Carolina. Then, favored again, on the road this time, fail to get it done and lose to Tennessee. The last few games I have seen some untypical Alabama behavior. 2 losses. I am shocked guys haven't quit the team. 2 losses. Yeah. Maybe in 2 years 2 losses. Missouri is far from a great team. But they have a QB and decent WRs. For sure, we are alive for a back door cover in this one. No matter how desperate Alabama is, I can't trust them. The August Game of the Year line on this was Tide -8. Have we seen anything that thinks they should be -14? Maybe it is a square play, but until I see a good Alabama game, which we haven't seen since mid-September at Wisconsin. 4* Money Maker MISSOURI

Taking INDIANA. Washington is off their bye week. Maybe it helps. Last game they were mauled at Iowa. Now flying back to the Midwest fo an early start at Indiana. Hoosiers lose their QB, but received steady play in his place from their backup. And by steady I mean outscoring Nebraska 28-0. New HC Cignetti has done a great job so far. Indiana is 7-0. Safe to say they aren't winning last second games. So teams have to pass to get back in the game - well, Hoosiers passing defense, just 181 passing yards allowed. 4* Money Maker INDIANA HOOSIERS

Taking OLE MISS. Man. I thought this team would maybe be a championship contender. Losing to Kentucky and LSU stings. But this line has ballooned now to 20. I think it is deserved. I said last year I though Venable was out. Well, I was a year early. This Sooners team looks absolute lost. Honestly - I hate to say this. Have they quit? Texas toyed with them winning 34-7. It wasn't that close. Then to lose at home to South Carolina 35-9. Ooh Boy. Something is not right. I think Ole Miss wins this by 30. Off a bye week too -- Absolute blow out city.  4* Money Maker OLE MISS

Taking OLD DOMINION. Started as a little dog, now a little favorite. Love seeing 3-4 teams favored over 5-2 teams. Makes the public love that team even more. They will  not want to be on the better defense home puppy with us. OD won last year 20-17. GSU the year before 28-23. Should be another grinder here at Kornblau field. Georgia Southern does have the edge on the offensive side of the ball - but the Monarchs defense should be what gets us the win here. 4* Money Maker OLD DOMINION 

Taking IOWA STATE. I thought UCF was ready to take the next step in Big 12 play, and move to upper tier. Was I wrong! - What the heck has happened? I guess we go back to that 35-34 game at TCU and think maybe we have some defensive problems. Now 3 straight losses. The Colorado at home beat down. Wow. Then to not show up at Florida. Lose to Cincy. I thought Iowa State was ripe to be  upset last week, and all they did was beat up West Virginia on the road. This Iowa St. defense will crush UCF. I don't think this game is close. 4* Money Maker IOWA STATE

Taking ARMY. Black Knights just absolute and literally, running all over teams. I don't think ECU slows this down. I think the Pirates have some problems. Double digit favorites losing by 30. That is 3 losses their last 4. Ok - lose to Liberty. I can understand that one. Not to the Forty Niners. I think that coach is getting this season. Army on a collision course with Navy and the AAC Championship Game. Their closet game was 24-7 at FAU. Even off their bye week, I don't think ECU is ready for the Army attack. Black Knights scoring 44ppg their last 4, scoring more, and playing better as they get into Conference Play. As I mentioned earlier - tougher schedule - ECU 1-3 last 4 games.  4* Money Maker ARMY

Taking MIAMI. A couple close calls for The U. Expected with their trash HC. If the Hurricanes weren't off their bye week, UL Money Line would be in play. But with a week to refocus, get their defense on the same page, I think Miami should be in a position to win this one by 10. Clear HC edge for UL - no doubt. Cardinals won last year, so it is not a spot where they will overlooking a team. I also lean OVER in this one. Louisville struggled last week vs Virginia. They lost to SMU (home) and at Notre Dame. They did knock off Georgia Tech. This Miami team is really good on offense and that will be what puts us over the top here. 4* Money Maker MIAMI HURRICANES

Taking BYU. Cougars have been on an absolute mission this season. Let's just talk about the defense with 9 turnovers the last games. That is always helpful. Defense also helps win and more importantly, cover games. 6-0 ATS for BYU. Oklahoma State is in off their bye week. Have they found a run game and some offense? They have scored 14-20-19 points their last 3 games - all vs Big 12 teams. So don't get all excited about 44 vs Tulsa and South Dakota State. 39 vs Arkansas. Ok - 1. 1 game off offense. 3 straight losses also. Cowboys won last year 40-34 in OT. So a little payback is in order. Cougars have actually been out-yarded their last few games and still have wins and covers. I think you will get out-yarded when you force the other team into turnovers - it isn't a question of them 'getting lucky.' 4* Money Maker BYU

Taking FIU. UTEP has some problems to say the least. The one game decided by less than 10 points, a 27-24 LOSS to Southern Utah in OT! This is just to say how bad they are. FIU is not some juggernaut team either. They have lost to Monmouth 48-45! But we have seen offense, 52 vs Central Michigan, a 31-24 loss to a good Liberty team. FIY QB Jenkins should be able to generate points vs this Miners defense. UTEP also has QB issues.  Locklear came with the HC from Austin Peay. Was the starter, got benched, is back with McConnell getting hurt last week. Both QBs have struggled this year regardless. Locklear 3 TD 4 INTs McConnel 4 TD 3 INTs. When your defense is giving up 35ppg and 200+ yards on the ground and in the air, you are in trouble.   4* Money Maker FIU 

Taking WEST VIRGINIA. I like these guys. They are a tough group. Iowa State is in for a fight here Saturday night. WV lost to Penn State and then blew the game vs Pitt. They looked great last week out of their bye week. Short of their rivalry game vs Iowa, who have the Cyclones played. Cupcakes. I don't think they should be favored here. 4* Money Maker WEST VIRGINIA 

Taking VANDERBILT. Normally, you think, fade a team off a huge win. A win so big, it is probably the biggest in the program histroy. But let's look at this team here. They beat VT as big dogs. They nearly picked off Missouri. And now you are giving us nearly 2 TDs. Look - Kentucky is a tough bunch. They play some defense. Just look at their scores. This is going to be a what, a rock fight. I can't believe this spread. Maybe it is too good to be true. But I am grabbing the dog here. 4* Money Maker VANDERBILT

Taking OREGON. I know Ohio State is probably right up there with Texas as who are the best teams in CFB right now, Ducks have been a little slow on offense to start the year. But this is still a talented team. I actually like their HC better than OSU. At 3.5, we have to take the points. I cannot come in and knock Ohio State in any way. We can be honest though. The loser is still going to make the playoffs. Winner gets the inside track to the Big 10 Title. As good as this Buckeyes offense is, I think the Ducks defense can slow them down a bit. We don't need an outright win, just a cover. 4* Money Maker OREGON DUCKS 

Taking the VOLS. Another team that went down last week in a Saturday massacre. I think they get right here at home though. If Tennessee was off a big win, then we would be grabbing the Gators and probably close to 20 points. Volunteers take out their anger on a bad Florida team and drop a 50 piece at home. 4* Money Maker TENNESSEE 

Taking PITT. How do we not take the Panthers. Cal should be coming in off a huge upset win over Miami. Instead, they fly across the country off a horrific blown lead and game. Tough task vs a formidable Pitt team. 4* Money Maker PITTSBURGH

Taking MEMPHIS. I still think Memphis is a pretty good AAC team. I can't really get on them for an outright loss at Navy. Navy has been putting up points, and again, off that Florida State win, a tough spot. Now they are in South Florida. Let's be honest. South Florida will have their minds elsewhere and have limited practice. 4* Money Maker MEMPHIS

Taking UTAH. Uh. The Utes. Will there be a Cam Rising sighting off their bye week? Who knows! What I do know - Arizona State has not been impressive. So you mauled Wyoming. But, 30-23 over Mississippi State? How have they looked? 3 point win over Texas State. Losing at home to Texas Tech. Last second win over Kansas. I know Utah HC will have this team prepared with a week to get things on track after a bad loss. Give me the small road faves tonight. 4* Money Maker UTAH

Taking JAMES MADISON. Short week for both. Madison off a terrible loss. 16pt favorites losing outright. May have cost them a playoff spot as a the small school rep. But - time for recover. Coastal also on a short week, and traveling. They also don't have a much of a defense to help them out either. Would lean over here also. I think Madison finds their offense from the previous 2 games where they scored 133 points 4* Money Maker JAMES MADISON 

Taking ARIZONA. Off their bye week, they knocked off Utah as a TD dog. Now they get Texas Tech - one of the worse defenses in the land. Don't be fooled by that 4-1 record. 44-41 vs Cincy last week. 30-22 Arizona State. Both at home. 66-21 North Texas, again home. Do we need to remind you of August 31? 52-51 win, at home, vs Abilene Christian! 51 to Abilene! Only road trip they got trounced by Washington State 37-16. Arizona by 10. 4* Money Maker ARIZONA 

Taking CAL. Tough spot for Miami. Off a crazy game vs Virginia Tech. Now to face a Cal team that can play a little bit of defense. This might be one of the Mario Cristobal bad games. We saw Miami struggle for 3 quarters at South Florida. We saw last Friday night some hiccups. Just a big travel spot vs a spunky team that plays defense. Typical Miami fashion would have them losing this game tonight. Cal with the bye week only helps them. 4* Money Maker CAL BEARS

Taking MINNESOTA. Trojans come in off Wiscy at home and losing at Michigan. Wolverines passed for 32 yards by the way. Gophers off a tough loss at Michigan themselves. But this is Big 10 country. Tough spot again for USC as they have Penn State on deck. I think this is too many points. Minnesota will want to run the ball, milk the clock, and keep the USC skill players on the sidelines. Taking RUTGERS. We had Rutgers and the Under last week for a nice miracle win. We'll take it! Look. Rutgers runs the balls and plays defense. We are getting a full TD from Nebraska, who, should not be laying full TDs. I think these guys are similar. This is a FG game in my book. Give me the points. Taking WEST VIRGINIA. Give me the rested bunch here and any points thank you very much. Oklahoma State off B2B losses. Up 13-7 on the road. Then give up 5 straight touchdowns before you punch in a meaningless score with 2 minutes to go. Last home game you lost a rock fight 22-19 to Utah, and, we had you there. And 22-5 in the 4th before you get more garbage scoring. Can't trust the Cowboys as favorites. Lot of rage filled up with OKST winning 9 of the last 10. Taking BOSTON COLLEGE. With the line move here from 3 down to 1, I think that QB Castellanos is in. Defense needed to come up huge last week for the BC win. Now they are on the road at Virginia who, has revenge, and, off a bye week. If you told me you wanted to come in on the Cavs at this number -1, -120, I wouldn't talk you off that. I think the winner has the ball last and somebody wins 21-20, 24-23. 4* Money Maker BOSTON COLLEGE

Taking LOUISVILLE here. Nice showing in a tough loss at Notre Dame. Now it is time to get back in the win column. SMU comes in riding high after demolishing Florida State. Nowhere to go but down. That was on the heels of beating TCU 66-42. But that was off a 18-15 loss to BYU! So 4 straight home games for the Mustangs. Do we remember them laying 28 opening day back in August in Nevada? A month at home for a road trip vs a real team and off one of the programs biggest wins in recent memory. Smells like doom to me. 4* Money Maker LOUISVILLE

Taking UCF. I will always look to fade this Colorado team. beat North Dakota State. Took care of Colorado State. Never should have beat Baylor. I still like my Under 5.5 +145 win total. UCF KST @ Ariz Cin @Tex Tech Utah @ Kansas Oklahoma State. Maybe they get 2. Doubt it though. Prime will screw that up. He has a 2 man team with his QB and WR/CB. Everyone else is running out 22 players. And depth behind that. Knights have been slowly building to the Big 12 level talent wise. I like the coach. KJ Jefferson is a good enough QB to put up 35ppg here. UCF is scoring 40+ this afternoon. Buffalos maybe get 20. 4* Money Maker UCF KNIGHTS

Taking TEXAS. Longhorns just mashing right now. No team playing better. Outscoring their foes 190-22 on the year. They have a bye week next week. Then it gets with Oklahoma and Georgia back to back. But taking on SEC patsy Mississippi State. Blow-out. Bulldogs 4-15-1 ATS last 20 games.  This team allowed 45 at home to Florida and 41 at home to Toledo! What will Ewers or Manning put up here? Let's be honest. Pencil the Longhorns in for at least a 50 spot. Does Mississippi State score 10 points? I think this game goes somewhere along the lines of 64-20.
