Two teams that are trending downward face off Wednesday between the White Sox and Orioles. Baltimore’s pitcher in John Means will not be expected to go beyond four to five innings. That puts the pressure on the Orioles bullpen which was clobbered two days ago. Yet look for the Orioles lineup to do enough and get the win today. 

A pattern for the LA Dodgers this season has been mini-stretches of wins and losses. After ending their six-game win streak yesterday the Dodgers will try to avoid a new mini-slide. With Christian Yelich still sparking the Brewers look for the Brew-Crew to get it done yet again against LA. Grab Milwaukee.

Just last weekend the Dodgers avoided being swept at home by the Brewers to end a six game losing streak. That win last Sunday had sparked a six game win streak for LA and stemmed the momentum of the Brewers.  Look for ace Ryu to continue the Dodgers momentum on the mound as LA keeps rolling. The Twins enter Tuesday as sizable favorites against the Blue Jays. On the mound for the Blue Jays Tuesday is Aaron Sanchez whom has lasted only through five innings in two of his three starts. Although Kyle Gibson has been hit hard to begin the season look for a turn around performance tonight at home. Grab Minnesota. 

The Rangers once again will send out pitcher Shelby Miller. His first start of the season the Rangers did defeat the Astros but overall Miller hasn’t lasted beyond three innings. Off a dramatic win last night people may see the Rangers as an attractive underdog Monday. Yet look for the Angels to continue their pattern of being able to win close games. Grab the Angels. 

The Houston Astros have a chance to halt the Mariners hot start in consecutive games. They defeated the Mariners Saturday and oddsmakers have pushed up the line further for Sunday. This is odd based on the Mariners Marco Gonzales undefeated record and the Astros Gerrit Cole’s 0-2 start. Yet the value lies on the price-laden Astros. 

The LA Dodgers have now lost five straight games. This dip has put them close to the .500 mark at 8-7. Main issues have been with their pitching staff as they’ve yielded four runs or more in all losses during their streak. Against a Brewers team that has potent capabilities this would seem like another let down spot with Caleb Ferguson starting. Instead grab the value on the Dodgers as their bullpen pulls through and bats stop their losing streak. 

The Houston Astros are now 5-0 at home as they remain undefeated with two straight wins over the Yankees. On the mound for the Astros Wednesday is Collin McHugh whom has only allowed six hits through two starts. As shaky as the Yankees pitching has been look for the staff as a whole to do better Wednesday. Grab the Yankees as a road underdog to end the Astros home win streak. 

Both the Phillies and Twins have won a game going into Sunday’s series deciding matchup. The hoopla surrounding Bryce Harper on the Phillies has been an early season value advantage for Phillies bettors. Overall the lineup has produced over seven runs a game. Yet they’ve lost two of their last three games. Sunday grab the Twins to become the first team to defeat the Phillies two games in a row

The Dodgers will be aiming to extend their solid start to the season as they face the Colorado Rockies Saturday.  On the mound looking to redeem his poor start is Buehler for the Dodgers. As hard as he was hit in his debut he’ll have to now deal with the hit friendly Coors field. That’s a value indicator against a struggling Rockies team 

An inexcusable start for the Angels can be looked at from a scheduling standpoint. They started the season with six road games before yesterday’s home opening loss to the Rangers. They simply could not over come early poor pitching. That has driven down the price for tonight as the Rangers put veteran Lance Lynn on the mound opposed Felix Pena. Grab the Angels to get their first home win of the season. 

The Chicago Cubs have been abysmal their last two games, but should be at a minimum a .500 team. Thanks to multiple collapses from their bullpen they stand at just 1-5. Off of a late arrival into Milwaukee this morning they’re staring at a possible 1-6 start. That’s a value angle against a Brewers team that had yesterday off. Grab Chicago Cubs.

Last night’s public play backfired as the Angels could not get by King Felix and his woeful spring training performance. Heading into game two against the Mariners they are now 1-4 on the season. Yet they’re are several buy signs for tonight that point to value. The Angels have yet to play a home game and are facing a 6-1 Mariners team. Pitcher Marco Gonzalez may be 2-0 with an extra start from March 20th. Yet look for the Angels to show signs of life at the plate to topple the Mariners. 

The Arizona Diamondbacks young bats crushed the Padres last night in rout to a 10-3 victory. For Tuesday they’re shockingly underdogs as Zack Greinke looks to redeem himself off a poor first start. While one can anticipate Greinke looking much sharper look for Eric Lauer to continue to surprise. Oddsmakers setting the price on the Padres as small favorites is a buy sign for a value position tonight. Grab San Diego. 

Over the past three years the Oakland As have worked on developing pitcher Frankie Montas. Beyond a couple of solid starts he was unable to show durability to be a rotation pitcher. This season appears to be different as he has earned a rotation spot and has the confidence of the As organization. Look for the As to back their young starter and win the series over the Angels.

The Tampa Bay Rays evened the first series of the season against the Astros with yesterday’s win. Saturday on the mound will be Tyler Glasnow opposed Collin McHugh for the Astros. This is a scenario that is unaccustomed to McHugh whose last start in the month of April came in 2016. Although the bullpen/hitting advantage is with the Astros look for the starting pitching advantage to side with the Rays. Grab Tampa.

Last year was a frustrating season for Blue Jays starter Marcus Stroman. Stroman only pitched 102 innings as he battled injuries throughout the 2018 season. That resulted in his highest ERA of his five-year career (5.54). Meanwhile veteran Jordan Zimmerman battled through ups and downs to have a mediocre campaign in 2018. Value for opening day lies on Stroman bouncing back to form at a premium price. Grab the Blue Jays. 

Over 8.5 Runs Rockies-Brewers

Thursday the Colorado Rockies will travel to take on the Milwaukee Brewers in the NL Division Round of the MLB Playoffs. This is now the Rockies fourth game in five nights with travel a factor in each game. Coming off a dramatic extra inning wild card win over the Cubs some would expect fatigue at the plate. Instead look for the Rockies bats to show rejuvenation after escaping in Chicago. Grab the over. 

The Houston Astros and Toronto Blue Jays will jump from Sunday’s series conclusion to a new series against each other today. Two veteran pitchers in Marco Estrada for the Blue Jays and Dallas Keuchel for the Astros will be on the mound. In recent starts both have been sporadic with control which has yielded high runs. Even with both teams transitioning to a new series expect runs and the over of nine runs. 

The Rockies find themselves in need of recovering from a poor series against the LA Dodgers. While the NL West is likely out of their reach they are in viable position just 1.5 games back of a wild card spot. They’ll take on a Diamondbacks team that has won three of their last ten and all but eliminated themselves from playoff contention. Still, look for the Diamondbacks to get in the win column behind Zach Greinke.

The Texas Rangers will aim to halt a four-game losing streak as they host the Seattle Mariners Friday. Starting for the Mariners is veteran Erasamo Ramirez whom has not looked the form of years past. That should boost the value on the Rangers will be starting pitcher Connor Sadzeck for the first time. Grab the Rangers to end their losing streak. 

A string of five straight solid starts from Derek Holland has not resulted in wins. San Francisco’s inability to have consistency with runs has been a major thorn to their season. It’s a certainty Padres backers will need an extended effort out of its bullpen with Joey Luchessi’s issues beyond five innings. Still look for the Padres recent effectiveness at the plate to be the catalyst Tuesday. 

Toronto took care of business on Monday with a 5-0 road victory over the lowly Baltimore Orioles. Expect more of the same on Tuesday as Aaron Sanchez has shown stabilization his last two starts. Opposite Sanchez for the Orioles is Dylan Bundy whom shook off a full month of losses to defeat the Oakland As. Yet grab the team momentum here on Toronto.

The Chicago White Sox enter Sunday’s matchup with the Tiger’s with a chance to win their fourth straight series. They’ll face the same Jordan Zimmerman that they ripped apart on August 15th for nine hits and six runs. Look for Zimmerman to bounce back as the Tigers are the value play against the White Sox and heralded young prospect Michael Kopech. 

The Marlins will host the Atlanta Braves Thursday in a battle of NL East teams. For the Braves it’s a chance to continue where they left off in Pittsburgh with a road sweep. It’s a customary trait of the Braves winning on the road, as they have a better record away than at home. Yet, with the Marlins starting young pitcher Elieser Hernandez there is value to be had on Miami. Grab the Marlins for a Thursday underdog casher. 

The St. Louis Cardinals have showed over the last two weeks to be as hot as any team in MLB. Yet, bettors are still leery to attack the Cardinals. For one they’ve been fortunate to score runs even with low hits in certain games. As great as Walker Buehler has been his last four starts the momentum of the Cardinals is too much here. Grab the value of a Cardinals road sweep.

The Royals and Rays have been great for under selections all season. Neither team has strong reliability at the plate, which has shown in consecutive unders. Yet today’s matchup should bode well for the over as each team will be in need to utilize their bullpens. Reliever Ryne Stanek will see his typical 1-2 innings of action before the Rays bullpen enters and Royals starter Jakob Junis is usually good for five to six innings. Grab the over. 

Wednesday, the Twins and White Sox will complete their series with an early start time of 2:20 ET. Starters on the mound will be Carlos Rodon and Kyle Gibson of the Twins. Rodon’s consecutive starts lasting through eight innings has not happened all season. Expecting to see the White Sox pen and Gibson’s sporadic outings draws value on the under. Grab the under.

Signs of wearing down have been evident for Yankees pitcher Masahiro Tanaka. Tanaka has been hit hard three straight starts while struggling to make it through six innings. While Marlins Tuesday starter Pablo Lopez has danced with inconsistency since entering the rotation June 30th. With both teams off Monday the over looks appealing. Yet grab the value here on the under. 

Another total of focus comes in the Royals and Rays Tuesday. In game one of their series on Monday the teams combined for a low output of runs that resulted in 1-0 game. Expect the same Tuesday as Blake Snell takes the mound for the Rays. After a near month out Snell has been eased back into the Rays rotation. In three return starts he has not pitched beyond the fifth inning or over 76 pitches. Still look for both teams unreliability to score to keep this total under.

Often times inexperienced young pitchers suffer a drastic difference pre and post All-Star break. That’s been the case for the Indians 23-year old pitcher in Shane Bieber. In four of five starts post All-Star break Bieber has had issues with his command and giving up crucial hits. Look for the Red Sox potent lineup to take care of business even with the Red Sox pitcher Nathan Eovaldi struggling. 

Another late add from Zack hails in the Houston Astros and Seattle Mariners night cap. This is a repeat series matchup as both teams just met in Houston a week ago. Aside from the initial game all went under tonight’s number. With the Astros traveling in from Oakland and the Mariners a typically low-scoring team one may lean towards the under. Instead grab the value on the over.

The Texas Rangers travel to take on a hungry Oakland team Monday night. On the mound for the As will be Mike Fiers. In two starts since being traded from Detroit Fiers has shown immediate dividends with two wins. One would expect the As offense to keep firing away with the low velocity pitcher in Bartolo Colon on the mound. Instead grab the high value on the underdog in Colon.

The Diamondbacks and Padres have a quick turn around for Sunday’s series finale in San Diego. Success against the Padres pitching staff has featured nineteen runs in the first three games of the series for the Diamondbacks. With struggling Padres starter Brett Kennedy on the mound grab the value on the under.

Two pitchers that have battled inconsistency all season take the mound Sunday for the Cubs and Pirates. Cubs pitcher Jose Quintana has lost consecutive starts dropping his win-loss record to 10-9. Meanwhile Jameson Tailon for the Pirates is exactly at .500 with a 9-9 record. Yet the Cubs are in another hitting slump as they’ve produced one run outings three games in a row. Lacking run support with Quintana’s struggles is the value angle for Sunday. Grab Pittsburgh 

The St. Louis Cardinals made it close but fell short on Thursday 5-4 to the Washington Nationals. As a result a stunning win streak ended at eight games. A new series begins Friday as the Cardinals host the Milwaukee Brewers. Staying home and Jack Flaherty’s consecutive strong starts initiates improper value on the Cardinals. Grab the Brewers as impulsive bettors chase another Cardinals win.

Two pitchers with solid ERA’s take the mound Friday in Sean Newcomb (3.40) and Kyle Freeland (3.02). Yet oddsmakers have pushed up the total to a representable number that would indicate the over. Anticipate early runs from both teams and late action off the bullpens to push this over the number. 

The Braves bullpen could not hold off the Rockies on Thursday, resulting in a 5-3 loss. Friday, Sean Newcomb will take the mound after a disastrous start against the Milwaukee Brewers. In the start Newcomb lasted just four innings yielding twelve hits. As a sizable favorite off such a loss look for Newcomb and the Braves to deliver against the Rockies. Grab Atlanta.

Thursday, St. Louis will attempt to win their ninth straight and sweep the Washington Nationals. Pitcher Luke Weaver returns to the mound for the Cardinals after skipping his last start due to a finger issue. Yet one has to believe the value for Thursday lies with the Nationals. Tanner Roark has won four straight starts and likely would be favored if not for the Cardinals run. Grab Washington.

After being shutout on Tuesday the Cubs will hope to redeem themselves against the Brewers. Strongly favored has been the norm this season when Kyle Hendricks is on the mound. Although his numbers don’t warrant the juice this is a spot where the Cubs bats should respond well. Grab the Cubs Wednesday. 

To no one’s surprise the Rangers and Yankees series has featured hits and runs galore. Through three games the teams have combined for thirty seven runs.  Sunday’s pitching starters are struggling pitcher Martin Perez and stamina reduced CC Sabathia. With a quick start Sunday bettors will chase the total on the over. Instead grab the under. 

A strong price is available today on the side of the Cleveland Indians. One of the main reasons for this has to do with pitcher Trevor Bauer’s dominant road win at Minnesota last week. He’ll face the same starting pitcher on the Twins side in Kyle Gibson. Gibson’s been better but the Twins as a whole are far below average on the road (19-34). That’s where the value lies. Grab the Twins.

Jon Gray’s post All Star resurrection has featured three strong starts in a row. Each start has featured an earned run average of two or less. The Rockies have lost five of six games and have a bullpen that’s been unsteady in winning opportunities. Yet the number in this matchup speaks volumes considering Wade Miley’s impressive stretch. A stretch that included a steep underdog win against the Dodgers. Grab the hidden value on the Rockies.

Tuesday, the Colorado Rockies will hope to begin a new win streak. They’ll take on a St. Louis Cardinals team that defeated them Monday 5-4. For the Rockies pitcher Jon Gray has been exceptional post All-Star break. Yet, both of those games were at home. Look for Gray to put forth another strong outing but for the Cardinals to squeeze out a close game. Grab St. Louis. 

Sunday, Felix Pena of the Angels will get his seventh start since entering the Angels rotation in June. Pena’s pitch count has fared between 74 to 84 pitches in six starts. For the Mariners they’ll hope Marco Gonzales can win his fifth straight game. Adding to his case are two recent wins against the Angels on July 5th and 11th. Yet that’s where the value lies on the Angels side. Grab LA to win their fifth straight with the unheralded pitcher in Pena on the mound. 

Friday, the Blue Jays crushed the White Sox to the tune of 10-5. One would expect the momentum to carry over at the plate against high ERA pitcher Lucas Giolito. Yet Giolito has strung together impressive starts. While he may not be as sharp this outing expect the White Sox bats to support. Grab the White Sox. 

At 34 years of age Anibel Sanchez has turned back the clock with an out of nowhere season for the Braves. Yet his sample size for a starting pitcher is still small as his main duties came since May 29th. Factored into the line is the fact the Braves had yesterday off versus the Dodgers a game in Philadelphia. Look for the value on the home Braves.

A price rise is installed in the Astros away favored line against the Colorado Rockies. The Rockies had reversed their below .500 home record with a five-game home win-streak. That came to an end in yesterday’s dominant win by the Astros. That boosted the Astros road record to 35-15. Although Jon Gray has been sporadic grab the value on the home Rockies against 11-2 Jon Gray.

Monday the Oakland A’s crushed the Rangers in Texas 15-3. Typically this would be a worrisome follow-up spot heading into another matchup against the Rangers. Instead the main causes of last nights pitching woes likely are to re-occur with Mike Minor on the mound. Grab the away value on the Oakland As. 

Zack finds value today with the Detroit Tigers traveling to take on Kansas City. The Royals are coming off a sound home series against the Twins. They’ll also face a Detroit Tigers team that is attempting to utilize Francisco Liriano as a starter. In his last two starts Liriano has been unable to last beyond three innings. That’s the value angle for today’s action. Grab Detroit. 

One of the biggest surprises Saturday was the White Sox shut out over the Mariners. Sunday’s game focus from a betting stand point probably has high interest from a side perspective. But for value we’ll look at the over. Both Marco Gonzalez and Reynaldo Lopez have had solid stretches with respectable overall ERA’s. Yet look for this game to topple the total. 

Bartolo Colon has managed to keep a spot in the Rangers rotation by being able to dodge the hits he allows. Six of his last seven starts he has allowed three runs or less. Both Colon and Carlos Carrasco of the Indians will have had a long stretch of ten days without pitching. Yet grab the value here on the over. 

Three straight wins in July has sparked Dallas Keuchel’s turn around from a poor start. While his hits are still an issue he has dwindled his ERA to a respectable 3.75. Yet this is a number elevated due to the Astros dominant record. Grab the value on the home Angels. 

Returning from All-Star break can be tough to predict in terms of runs. Will rust be apparent from a pitching or hitting stand point? A drop down should occur between the Mets-Yankees but expect three to four innings of runs to topple the total. 

Sunday both the Rockies and Mariners will conclude the first half of the MLB season against each other at Coors Field. This has been a sound series for the bats as is expected at Coors Field. For the Mariners Mike Leake has been unable to dodge hits for runs like he did at the beginning of the season. Bullpens on both sides should need use by the 5th/6th inning making this an interesting spot for the total. Yet grab the under here.

The Brewers and Pirates played a double-header Saturday. Normally this would make for an odd situation for both teams bullpens for the following day. Yet this is pre-All Star break which means there should not be any issues. Grab the value on the under between these NL Central teams.

A surprise start to the 2018 season for Jhoulys Chacin has featured an 8-3 record. With the Brewers having lost both games against the Pirates Saturday it allowed the Cubs to retake the division lead. In fact, the Brewers have lost five straight games as Sunday will mark their eighth straight on the road. Many likely will chase the Pirates for a rare five game home sweep, yet instead grab the value on Chacin and the Brewers. 

Yankees starting pitcher CC Sabathia has only had three starts this season in which he has allowed three runs or more. Coming off a poor outing you can expect him to bounce back against an Indians team he held to three hits and no runs on May 4th. Yet look for the total to showcase some value after coming down a half a run 

Nine of twelve wins has helped the Dodgers get back in front in the NL West. Heading into the break they’re hoping to maintain their current narrow lead over their other divisional teams. Tonight they’ll face cross town LA Angels of the American League. Both pitchers in Andrew Heaney and Anthony Wood faced each other on July 7th in Anaheim. Look for a similar close result with Anaheim coming out as victor. 

The issues in regards to the Diamondbacks bullpen are traced back to a sixteen inning affair against the Padres on July 8th. The extended efforts of the Diamondbacks bullpen in that game caused a carry over effect in their Rockies series.  Traveling further to Atlanta grab the value on the under here. 

A recent return from the DL for Blue Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman has had its ups and downs. With both the Braves and Blue Jays off a rest day, this is a spot where travel is factored less into the line. With Braves starter Julio Teheran’s known sporadic play this would seem like a value spot on the Blue Jays. Instead grab the Braves to protect home field to start this series. 

Approaching All-Star break many teams are willing to sacrifice a bit of pitching as hot bats wreak havoc. Today the Red Sox will feature a bullpen starter in Henry Velazquez. Velazquez has filled the bullpen role admirably but showed last year he wasn’t ready to be a full time starter. Velazquez and Rangers pitcher Yovani Gallardo’s long-term high ERA gives value on the under. 

For as great as Corey Kluber has performed this season, he has been a magnet for overs on totals. In fact in nine of his last ten starts the Indians and their opponent have combined to score nine runs or greater. Grab the value on the under as Edwin Jackson continues to shine for the As. 

The last game on the fourth of July will be in Phoenix, Arizona. The Diamondbacks and Cardinals will get the nationally televised game as they look to close out their series. Value here lies with the Diamondbacks strictly off the pitching matchup. Diamondbacks pitcher Patrick Corbin has not won in four straight starts. In fact, he has only two victories in his last eleven starts. Grab the value on Arizona as Miles Mikolas loses in consecutive outings. 

Aside from a poor start against the Pirates, Brewers pitcher Chase Anderson has been steady. He’ll face another sound pitcher as Twins pitcher Jose Berrios is a category filler in rankings for pitchers. Yet he is coming off a poor outing against the Cubs in which he allowed six runs. Look for both pitchers to do their job in delivering this over the number. Grab the over. 

Tuesday, Austin Bibens-Dirkx will make his third straight spot start against the Astros. Dirkx has managed to keep runs at a minimum but is facing his toughest lineup yet in the Astros. Look for the Astros to utilize Monday’s layoff to break out of a hitting runs slump that has featured four straight games with two runs or less. Grab the over Tuesday. 

The Twins travel to take on the Brewers after a high scoring series against the Chicago Cubs. Consecutive games featured the Twins bullpen get demolished and worn ultra-thin. For the Brewers their starting pitcher in Brent Suter will be looking to bounce back from his worst start in a month in a half. That’s created ultra value on Monday’s total to the under.

After a long run of overs the Oakland As have now been apart of four straight under. Sunday they’ll look to closeout the Cleveland Indians with a home sweep as Frankie Montas takes the mound. Montas has had his issues in the month of June that should taper off a tad Sunday. Yet the value is on the over as the Indians get set to travel to Kansas City. 

Diamondbacks pitcher Shelby Miller returned June 25th after fourteen months away rehabbing his elbow. The return didn’t go as planned as Miller lasted less than four innings. The ugly outing has detracted value on the Diamondbacks for tonight. Look for the Dbacks to get the win through a gritty team effort. 

Low run production has been the norm for the Tampa Bay Rays. Over their last fifteen games they’ve scored a combined twenty-seven runs. Five of those matchups were against their opponent today in the Astros. Poor run support against the dominance of Justin Verlander (1.82 ERA) spells another under. Yet grab the value on this matchup clearing the over as oddsmakers continue to have issues dictating the total with the Rays reliever strategy.

It’s the time of year where the ball flies out of ballparks due to hot temperatures. That should be a factor to a degree Friday as temperatures in St. Louis are expected to reach close to triple digits with high humidity. While this can wear down pitchers expect the Braves Julio Teheran to respond from a rough start his last outing. Grab the under as Cardinals pitcher Miles Mikolas continues to hold the merit of his stellar 2.69 ERA. 

The Red Sox will look to continue their solid first half of the season Thursday as they host the Angels. Pitching for the Red Sox will be Brian Johnson whom will be getting his first start since April 2nd. Johnson has had his struggles for the Red Sox out of the pen as recently as June 22nd. Yet, look for the Red Sox bullpen advantage and bats to topple the Angels. Grab Boston.

The Yankees bats and pitching have dominated their current series against the Philadelphia Phillies. It’s been done in all three phases. Monday they took advantage of the Phillies bullpen and on Tuesday they won with dominant pitching/runs. This may be troublesome Wednesday as Phillies pitcher Zach Eflin is not known for lasting deep into games. Yet, grab the value on the home Phillies based on the Yankees dominant first half of the season. 

Over the course of the past two weeks the Cubs have exhibited tired bats. Spot performance hitting is a recipe for downturns and makes a solid team need to search for other ways to win. Traveling from Cincinnati to LA will put the pressure on Jon Lester to deliver on Tuesday. Expect a pitcher’s duel and for a second straight under between the Cubs-Dodgers.

The White Sox showed hot bats in a recent series against the Oakland As scoring six runs twice and ten on Sunday. After a day off on Monday they’ll host the Minnesota Twins. Pitching for the Twins will be Lance Lynn whom is coming off an underdog victory against the Red Sox. He also has delivered six quality outings in a row in allowing three runs or less. Still expect runs to not be an issue in this matchup. Grab the over.

A rest day on Monday for the White Sox and Twins appears to have tilted value for Tuesday’s series. Twins pitcher Lance Lynn has allowed just seven runs in his last 35 innings pitched. Yet pre-All Star break expect the veteran to shift back to his first month struggles. In his last outing he dodged five walks against the Red Sox. Also on May 5th against the White Sox he dodged eight hits for just two runs allowed. Grab the White Sox to carry over the momentum shown at the plate against the As. 

Monday two teams that have been prolific at run production square off in the Cleveland Indians and St. Louis Cardinals. St. Louis is coming off an 8-2 victory at Milwaukee while the Indians ran away from the Detroit Tigers 12-2. With the Cardinals inserting John Gant as a starter for Monday many may lean towards the over against the reliever. In consecutive games the Nationals have had issues at the plate scoring a grand total of five runs. Sunday, they’ll face Nick Pivetta whom is coming off allowing just two runs on four hits in his last start. Yet, May 4th he suffered his worst start of the year at Washington. In just one inning of work Pivetta allowed six runs. Expect enough runs to eclipse the total Sunday.  

Consecutive losses by the Cubs to the Reds have seen prime starters lose. Thursday as a heavy favorite with Kyle Hendricks and yesterday with Jose Quintana. Starting pitching has been the main culprit but the Cubs have also struggled at the plate. That’s created value today on the Cubs as they’ll utilize pitcher Luke Farrell.  Grab the value on Chicago. 

The Giants rode the dominance of pitcher Madison Bumgarner to win Thursday’s first game against the Padres. It pushed the Giants to their third win a row and back to .500. Friday, they’ll aim to keep things going against the Padres and veteran pitcher Clayton Richard. Richards has been stout registering three consecutive wins yet look for the Giants garner their fourth straight. 

Friday, the Cubs and Reds will play their second game of their series. Thursday, the Reds attacked the Cubs vulnerable bullpen to pull away in the latter innings. For value on Friday two reverse indicators are available. Bettors have been attacking Jose Quintana’s strong road ERA while Luis Castillo had a strong home start against the Cubs on May 19th. Take the reverse angle here on the total and play the over.  

Beginning in the month of May Lance Lynn’s ERA was above seven. He has been able to keep his rotation spot thanks to a solid string of starts that now has ERA at 4.98. Today likely will be his toughest test in quite some time as the Red Sox are tough outs from top to bottom. Yet, look for David Price to continue to shut down opposing teams and Lynn to do just enough. Grab the under. 

On June 13th Braves pitcher Michael Soroka pitched a one-hit shutout against the Mets. Tuesday, Soroka will be up against the pressure to not allow a repeat of his last consecutive starts over a month ago. After an effective debut he was hit hard his second and third starts. Look for the 20 year old to showcase preparedness this time around and for the Braves to attack veteran Jaime Garcia.

A steep total lies in Sunday’s final series conclusion between the Angels and As. It’s no surprise as both teams have been stellar at run production. In fact in the Angels last six games all have produced eight runs or more. On Oakland’s end they’ve seen a combined total eclipse nine runs or more in their last five games. Yet this is a spot to seek the value on the under as Sunday’s starters in Andrew Heaney and Daniel Mengden are coming off poor outings.

Sunday a value spot exists on the diamond with the Detroit Tigers. Their opponent in the Chicago White Sox has attracted value with solid series against the Twins, Red Sox, and Indians. After Saturday’s late inning heroics look for the Tigers to complete the sweep against the attraction play of the White Sox. Grab Detroit.  

Since his return from the DL Giants starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner has struggled with hits and runs. For Bumgarner the rust is likely to begin wearing off but look for new issues to lurk from a totals stand point. Late inning runs from either the Dodgers or Giants should send this over the number. Throughout Seattle’s ascent as one of the league’s best teams they’ve been devalued. That is the case again tonight against the MLB’s best overall current team in the Boston Red Sox. Boston enjoyed Wednesday off as a travel day while the Mariners played late into the night at home in an 8-6 win over the Angels. That’s factored into Thursdays line along with Felix Hernandez’s prolonged issues withstanding an outing. Yet, the Mariners have showed a high case of offensive efficiency recently that will be the side difference. Grab Seattle. 

The Kansas City Royals have now lost eight of nine games. Pitching has been an issue at times but the main cause is the lack an inability to hit. Last night was a prime example as the Royals had one run off a solo shot. It put immense pressure on the Royals bullpen which was not able to hold. Yet, this should be an opportune game against the Reds to get the bats going against starting pitcher Tyler Mahle. Mahle has not lasted beyond five innings in five of his last six starts. Grab the value on Kansas City.

The Seattle Mariners have been able to side-step injuries and continue winning. In fact they are right behind the Red Sox in terms of wins in MLB. A pitcher that has turned things around for them has been Mike Leake. He has produced four quality starts after a disastrous period in April. Value on Seattle lies with their travel back from Tampa Bay on Sunday and the Angels pitcher Jaime Barria’s 5-1 record. Grab Seattle to continue their winning ways. 

To start the season everyone was doubtful on the chances of Bartolo Colon lasting in the Rangers rotation. Sporadic pitching has been masked by stellar outings from Colon including a nationally televised Sunday night gem against the Astros. Colon is also coming off a win in his last outing against the As. Grab the value on the Dodgers as Caleb Ferguson should bounce back from a disastrous debut last week. 

Monday, after Wilson Contreras was robbed of a home run by Ryan Braun it looked like the Cubs would be in trouble. Hits were hard to come by and they were facing the Brewers stout bullpen. Yet, they managed to get to extra innings and get the win over the Brewers. Look for that extra inning win to get the Cubs motivated today. A win moves them back into a first place tie with the Brewers.

Sunday, the Royals will turn to relief pitcher Brad Keller to deliver three to four solid innings. This may be a tough task considering Danny Duffy and the bullpen shutout the As on Saturday. Another downgrade on the Royals is their lack of run production. Over their last eight games they’ve scored three runs or less six times. Still, value lies on the Royals due to their poor overall record and the As dominant run production in Kansas City last week. 

The Angels are currently on a six-game win streak as they look to sweep the Twins Sunday. A stout road record at 20-10 did not translate on a recent three-series road trip a few weeks ago. That factor combined with an early start time is valuable on the Angels. Pitcher Nick Tropeano has had a rough time in three of his last four starts but look for manager Mike Scioscia to be prepared to sidestep an early issues. Grab the Angels.

The Diamondbacks used their bats to break away from the Rockies on Friday. To get it done Saturday they may need a better performance from their starting pitcher. Diamondbacks starter Matt Koch is coming off a great outing but it seems to be devalued because of the opponent in the Marlins. Bettors are leery of Koch’s string of four consecutive outings prior of rough pitching. That is a gain for Saturday as the Diamondbacks get it done again in Colorado. 

The Rays will turn to starter Blake Snell to help end an elongated eight game losing streak. To get the Rays back in the win column the Rays must attack the vulnerable veteran Felix Hernandez early. In his last start Hernandez shut down the Rays allowing just one run in eight innings. That combined with the Rays losing streak and Mariners stout 20-11 away record creates value on the Rays. Grab Tampa. 

Friday, the Diamondbacks travel to take on division rivals in the Colorado Rockies. The Rockies concluded a series against the Reds in an extra inning loss Thursday. The odd line on the Diamondbacks for Friday is in large part due to Zach Greinke’s poor efforts on the road this season. His ERA is over six which could be a problem at Coors Field. Still look for the Diamondbacks to continue to produce runs and their bullpen to get over the woes of their last two games against the Giants. Grab Arizona. 

The Braves crushed the Padres last night to the tune of 14-1. It was a game the Padres conceded early by not using their main bullpen weapons. In fact they used demoted pitcher Bryan Mitchell and second baseman Corey Spangenberg beyond the fourth inning. Value still lies on Atlanta as their travel combined with the early start time today should be determining factors against them. Instead it’s the value to grab the Braves. Take Atlanta.  

Tuesday market value attraction lies with the Arizona Diamondbacks. After a near even line in Monday’s series opener oddsmakers have over adjusted on the home team Tuesday. It’s a warranted move as the Giants will have top ace Madison Bumgarner in the rotation. Yet, look for the Diamondbacks Patrick Corbin to bounce back from an April 10th loss in San Francisco.

Oddsmakers were left with no choice but to value the Mets need for a win on Tuesday. After being swept by the Cubs the Mets had Monday off to regroup. They’ll take on an Orioles team that is an MLB worst 17-41. Starting for them Tuesday is veteran Alex Cobb whom stands at just 1-7 with an ERA over six. Yet this a spot where the confidence of the Mets is shot. Grab the underdog road value on the Orioles. 

Probably one of the best value plus 200 selections exists today as Tampa Bay takes on Washington. Compounded value exists as the Rays extend to their third consecutive road series. Series that included games in California and Washington against the Mariners. On a four game losing streak the Rays will take on dominant pitcher Max Scherzer. With a 9-1 record grab the high value on the Rays and newly returned starter Nathan Eovaldi.
