10-01-23 | Dolphins v. Bills -2.5 | 20-48 | Win | 100 | 21 h 27 m | Show
Miami at Buffalo 1:00 ET Bills (-) over Dolphins- This should be the game of the day in the NFL this Sunday as to offensive juggernaut that is the Miami Dolphins invade Buffalo to challenge the Division champion Bills. Buffalo got off the a rough start as Josh Allen was picked off four times by the Jets defense but Allen has responded like the pro he is with a pair of outstanding games against Las Vegas and Washington. The play here is against any time that scores 70 points in their previous game but the price is so short the odds makers are believing the Dolphins are for real. I think they are but they will fall sometime and it should be here. Take BUFFALO! |
|||||||
10-01-23 | Vikings v. Panthers +4.5 | 21-13 | Loss | -110 | 21 h 26 m | Show
Minnesota at Carolina 1:00 ET Panthers (+) over Vikings- The best thing the NFL in thinking about this match-up of a pair of 0-3 clubs is that most likely one of them will emerge with a victory. Last season Minnesota was fortunate enough to win most their one-score games (close ones) and this season it looks like the worm has turned. This year they when the do win they are not supposed to cover the number as favorites. Carolina of course is starting rookie QB Bryce Young who returns from and ankle injury and first year quarterbacks are known to struggle. But, it is the Panthers defense that will dictate the tempo and the flow of this game. Take CAROLINA! |
|||||||
10-01-23 | Rams v. Colts +1 | 29-23 | Loss | -110 | 21 h 25 m | Show
LA Rams at Indianapolis 1:00 ET Colts (+) over Rams- The Colts are galloping alone with Gardner Minshew at quarterback and have won their last two including an overtime win at Baltimore. So, now Indy with the return of Anthony Richardson a choice of two QB’s with different styles. Los Angeles has no such issue as Mathew Stafford is at the helm, but he’s running for his life with a line that surrendered six sacks against the Bengals Monday night. The Colts have a fresh attitude this season and the rest of the league will have to realize that. Take INDIANAPOLIS! |
|||||||
10-01-23 | Commanders +9.5 v. Eagles | 31-34 | Win | 100 | 21 h 24 m | Show
Washington at Philadelphia 1:00 ET Commies (+) over Eagles- It appears that the Eagles are shaping into form while the Commanders already have to regroup. Washington was totally out-classed by the Buffalo Bills last week managing only a field goal in their 37-3 drubbing while Philly was workman like in their dominating win at Tampa Bay. Jalen Hurts is almost perfect as a starting QB winning 20 of his past 21 starts with his only blemish coming against the Commandos. Lighting strikes twice as the division home dog gets the money. Take WASHINGTON! |
|||||||
10-01-23 | Bengals v. Titans +2.5 | Top | 3-27 | Win | 100 | 21 h 23 m | Show |
Cincinnati at Tennessee 1:00 ET Titans (+) over Bengals- So, thing are now supposed to be alright with the Bengals who posted their first win of the season over the Rams Monday night. Well, not so fst my friend! Cincinnati did have six sacks against LA but quarterback Joe Burrow still does not look the same. Maybe it is rust from not playing during the preseason in which he was hurt or maybe his injury is hampering his play because to me he still hasn’t passed the eye test. In other words he don’t look so good. The Titans are off a 27-3 loss at Cleveland (A-Play winner) and their is little that can said in a positive vein about their performance. But, like most professional teams when they have a game like that they play with more intensity and compassion the following week. Take TENNESSEE! |
|||||||
09-30-23 | Alabama v. Mississippi State +14.5 | 40-17 | Loss | -100 | 24 h 26 m | Show
Alabama at Mississippi State 9:00 ET Bulldogs (+) over Crimson Tide- Alabama (3-1, 1-0) isn't among the top contenders for a national championship due to its 34-24 home loss to then-No. 11 Texas on Sept. 9. The No. 12 Crimson Tide will take another swing at finding their past standard when they visit Mississippi State in a Southeastern Conference battle on Saturday night at Starkville, Miss. Mississippi State (2-2, 0-2) have lost back-to-back games but have quarterback Will Rogers at the helm and he passed for a career-high 487 yards in last week's 37-30 road loss to South Carolina. It was his ninth career 400-yard outing. Rogers has completed 70 percent of his passes over four seasons for 11,668 yards and 88 touchdowns. The yardage is the third-highest total in SEC history. The Bulldogs have enough to stay with the Tide. Take MISSISSIPPI STATE! |
|||||||
09-30-23 | Notre Dame v. Duke +6 | 21-14 | Loss | -112 | 23 h 9 m | Show
Notre Dame at Duke 7:30 ET Blue Devils over Fighting Irish- ESPN's College GameDay comes to town with No. 17 Duke hosting No. 11 Notre Dame. Duke (4-0) has never been part of the longtime pregame college football show as a host or opponent. The task at hand for the Blue Devils is beating Notre Dame (4-1), a team motivated to get back in the win column after suffering its first loss of the season. Notre Dame had only 10 men on the field for the final two plays from scrimmage, the second of which saw the Buckeyes score the go-ahead touchdown on a run up the gut. Notre Dame boasts the nation's 18th-best scoring offense, putting up 39.6 points per game and a defense, allowing just 12.8 points per game, which ranks 15th in FBS. Duke is 28th in offense and fourth in defense, allowing just 8.8 points per game. Take DUKE! |
|||||||
09-30-23 | Reds -117 v. Cardinals | Top | 6-15 | Loss | -117 | 17 h 29 m | Show |
Cincinnati at St. Louis 7:15 ET Reds over Cardinals- It doesn’t look like St. Louis is playing the spoiler as they continue to fade no matter who they may be playing. Starting left-hander Drew Rom (1-4, 7.98 ERA) to the hill to face a team that scored 19 runs the night before. Now, this wasn’t a meaningless contest as the win moved Cincinnati into a tie with the Cubs for the final Wild Card spot. Rom has surrendered 13 runs in 6.2 innings in his last two starts and the Reds can not wait to get to the plate. Take CINCINNATI! |
|||||||
09-30-23 | LSU v. Ole Miss +2.5 | Top | 49-55 | Win | 100 | 22 h 35 m | Show |
LSU at Mississippi 6:00 ET Rebels (+) over Tigers- LSU has bounced back from a season-opening loss to Florida State with three straight victories, including back-to-back conference wins in the last two weekends. The Tigers (3-1, 2-0) and the Rebels (3-1, 0-1) have both shown short-coming as the Ole Miss offense has had issues and LSU on defense. The Rebels were 7-0 and ranked No. 7 in the country last season when LSU beat them 45-20 in Baton Rouge, La. and look to atone for that performance. Take MISSISSIPPI! |
|||||||
09-30-23 | Kansas v. Texas -16 | 14-40 | Win | 100 | 19 h 12 m | Show
Kansas at Texas 3:30 ET Longhorns (-) over Jayhawks- Saturday's match-up will be the first time these two programs have ever played each other while both are ranked. No. 3 Texas and No. 24 Kansas will look to continue torrid starts to the season when they square off in Austin, Texas. Both teams are 4-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play. The Jayhawks used a 22-yard fumble return from Cobee Bryant to race to an early lead and then added a 30-yard pick-six by Kenny Logan Jr. they won’t be so fortunate this week. The Longhorns are 17-4 against Kansas all-time and 9-1 when the teams play in Austin. Texas defeated Kansas in Lawrence last season, 55-14 and the Jayhawks' 2021 win in Austin is their only victory as a visitor. Take TEXAS! |
|||||||
09-30-23 | Georgia v. Auburn +14.5 | 27-20 | Win | 100 | 19 h 42 m | Show
Georgia at Auburn 3:30 ET Tigers (+) over Bulldogs- No. 1 Georgia will set out to extend its winning streak to 22 games Saturday and the Bulldogs have won five straight regular-season games over the Tigers. Georgia (4-0, 1-0 SEC) went 6-for-6 inside the 20 in a convincing 49-21 win over UAB on Saturday. The Bulldogs had 582 yards of total offense despite three turnovers. Auburn (3-1, 1-0 SEC) enters its match-up with the Bulldogs with serious question marks on offense after failing to find the end zone against Texas A&M. Auburn is banged up in the secondary but somehow will pull it together against the Bulldogs. Take AUBURN! |
|||||||
09-29-23 | Cincinnati -115 v. BYU | Top | 27-35 | Loss | -115 | 20 h 26 m | Show |
Cincinnati at BYU 10:15 ET Bearcats over Cougars- BYU will aim to bounce back from a 38-27 loss at Kansas in its Big 12 opener. After three non-conference victories BYU quarterback Kedon Slovis completed 30 of 51 passes for 357 yards with two scores and two interceptions. The Cougars (3-1, 0-1 Big 12) got nothing from their ground game (22 attempts, 9 yards) and allowed 6 yards per carry to the Jayhawks. Cincinnati (2-2, 0-1) got Oklahoma at home for its first Big 12 game and kept the Sooners in check but couldn't do enough on offense in a 20-6 loss last week. The Bearcats held the Sooners 35 points under their average but went just 3-for-15 on third-down conversions and couldn't find the end zone. Bearcats tougher than most believe. Take CINCINNATI! |
|||||||
09-29-23 | Utah v. Oregon State -4 | 7-21 | Win | 100 | 19 h 10 m | Show
Utah at Oregon State 9:00 ET Beavers (-) over Utes- Utah's defense has been terrific this season, they are tied for ninth nationally in total defense (263.8 yards per game), ranks sixth in scoring defense (9.5 points per game) and is third in rushing defense (51 yards per game. But if the Utes (4-0, 1-0 Pac-12) want remain unbeaten they must increase its offensive production against No. 19 Oregon State (3-1, 0-1) in a Friday night Pac-12 clash at Corvallis, Ore. The Beavers have won six straight home games and 13 of their past 14 in Corvallis. Take OREGON STATE! |
|||||||

|||||||
09-29-23 | Louisville v. NC State +3.5 | 13-10 | Win | 100 | 17 h 11 m | Show
Louisville at N.C. State 7:00 ET Wolfpack (+) over Cardinals- Louisville (4-0, 2-0 ACC) is off to its best start in conference play in seven years. Their offense has been humming along at a pretty good clip so far this season, while North Carolina State is still attempting to hit its stride. NC State (3-1, 1-0) might need to get its offense cranked up if it intends to keep up with the Cardinals. The arrival of quarterback Brennan Armstrong to the Wolfpack was supposed to be accompanied by a dynamic offense that failed against hos former Virginia mates last week. The Wolfpack will be playing on a Friday night for the second week in a row after and this will be NC State's first night home game of the season. This will be a Wolfpack night! Take NC STATE! |
|||||||

Texas at Seattle 9:40 ET Mariners over Rangers- Seattle trails the division leading Texas Rangers by four games with four left to play but are only one game behind Houston for the AL Wild Card spot. At home with their backs against the wall the Mariners are going with their best in Logan Gilbert ( 13-7, 3.75 ERA) whose last outting was a 2-0 loss to The Rangers in Arlington. He is avering a strike out and inning and only eight hits per nine innings pitched. Jordan Montgomery (4-2, 2.92 ERA with Texas) started and won that game at home and now the forces have shifted. Take SEATTLE! |
|||||||
09-28-23 | Lions v. Packers +2 | Top | 34-20 | Loss | -108 | 16 h 19 m | Show |
Detroit at Green Bay 8:15 ET Packers (+)mover Lions- Both of these clubs are off victories that came in a totally different fashion. Detroit dominated Detroit dominated Atlanta in a 20-3 win while Green Bay had to come back from a 17-0 fourth quarter deficit (something they had never achieved at home in their100 year history) beating New Orleans 18-17. The Packer rally was led by Jordan Love who has a QB rating even below Justin Fields. Some how the Pack show they may not be totally back but good enough to win here. Take GREEN BAY! |
|||||||

The Astros have lost 10 of their past 14 games as they try to extend their playoff streak to seven consecutive seasons. They've won two World Series in that span, including last year's. While the Mariners are facing the Rangers, the Astros will end the season with three games against the Arizona Diamondbacks, who are in a fierce fight for a National League wild-card berth. The Guardians (74-83), who are eliminated from postseason contention, will send fellow right-hander Lucas Giolito (8-14, 4.60) to the mound Tuesday. 09-25-23 | Padres v. Giants +106 | Top | 1-2 | Win | 106 | 10 h 47 m | Show |
San Diego at San Francisco 9:45 ET Giants over Padres- It seems a bit unbelievable to see the Giants and Pares tied with the exact same record. At the season’s start maybe we could have considered it but San Diego is making a too late serge that has seen them win nine of their last 10 games while San Francisco has dropped eight of their last 10, ergo 77-79. Both teams trail the Cubs for the final NL playoff spot bt five games with six games remaining. Each team will have its ace going in the series opener, with Padres left-hander Blake Snell (14-9, 2.33 ERA) opposing Giants righty Logan Webb (10-13, 3.35). Snell has more at stake this week than just a longshot's bid for the playoffs. He has pitched himself into the thick of the NL Cy Young Award race by going unbeaten in his last five starts, running off four straight wins with a 0.56 ERA. Webb has yet to face the Padres this season, leaving his career mark against them at 2-2 with a 2.77 ERA in nine head-to-heads. Giants bounce back here. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |

Mayfield was in his third season with the Browns when he directed a 22-17 victory over Philadelphia in Cleveland on Nov. 22, 2020. Carolina at Seattle 4:05 ET Panthers (+) over Seahawks- Carolina rookie quarterback Bryce Young, the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft in April, is hurting. He didn't participate in practice Wednesday or Thursday because of an ankle injury, leading the Panthers to announce that Young is not expected to play against the Seahawks (1-1). Veteran Andy Dalton will start for the Panthers (0-2) in Young's absence. Dalton, in his 13th NFL season, is 83-77-2 as a starter during his career. He spent nine seasons in Cincinnati before one-year stops in Dallas, Chicago and New Orleans. The Seahawks evened their record with a 37-31 overtime victory Sunday at Detroit, as Tyler Lockett scored the winner on a 6-yard pass from Geno Smith. The Titans beat the Chargers 27-24 in overtime last Sunday, holding Los Angeles to just 61 yards on the ground while the Titans Derrick Henry was limited during Wednesday's practice with a toe injury. Take CLEVELAND! |

Take NEW YORK JETS! |
|||||||

Denver at Miami 1:00 ET Broncos (+) over Dolphins- Mike McDaniel took over as Dolphins coach last season, leading the team to a 9-8 record and its first playoff appearance since 2016. Miami (2-0) picked up right where it left off under McDaniel, as the Dolphins are averaging 30 points and a league-best 462.5 yards per game following last Sunday's 24-17 victory over the New England Patriots. Denver hasn't been able to get in the win column just yet, Russell Wilson is finally starting to look like the quarterback the Broncos thought they were trading for. The Broncos led 21-3 at one point but surrendered 10 points in the final 1:47 of the first half before crumbling following the break. Denver's two losses have come by a combined three points, and executing plays when it matters most is quickly becoming an issue. This time they get it done. Take DENVER! |

Seattle at Texas 7:10 ET Rangers over Mariners- Texas (85-68) recorded an 8-5 victory Friday that allowed it to move past the Houston Astros (85-69) into first in the division. With left-handers Hyun Jin Ryu lined up to pitch for Toronto on Saturday and Ryu (3-3 2.62 ERA) is 0-2 with a 3.05 ERA in four September starts. Colorado at Oregon 3:30 ET Ducks (-) over Buffaloes- The atmosphere will be tense when No. 19 Colorado faces No. 10 Oregon in Eugene on Saturday. The Buffaloes went 1-11 last season as the dregs of the Pac-12. Colorado is averaging 41.3 points, it allows 30.3 and the defensive unit could have issues corralling the Ducks. Oregon ranks second in scoring offense at 58 points per game and is coming off a 55-10 trouncing of visiting Hawaii. The Ducks are also stout defensively, allowing 15.7 points and 158.7 passing yards per game. The latter ranks 15th nationally. The Ducks have won nine of the past 10 meetings. Bo Nix and his experience give the Ducks the edge. Take OREGON! |
|||||||

Mississippi at Alabama 3:30 ET Crimson Tide (-) over Rebels- The No. 13 Crimson Tide (2-1) benched Jalen Milroe for last week's game at South Florida, but his replacement Notre Dame transfer Tyler Buchner didn't last a half and was replaced by second-year player Ty Simpson. That tandem combined for 107 passing yards in a 17-3 victory over the Bulls. On Monday, the dial spun back to Milroe. He accounted for five touchdowns in the season-opening win against Middle Tennessee. But he threw two interceptions in a home loss against Texas a week later and was benched. The Rebels (3-0) didn't rush the ball up to head coach Lane Kiffin's standard the first two games, totaling just 232 yards. But in a 48-23 home victory against Georgia Tech last week, they finished 299 rushing yards. Alabama has won the last seven meetings, including a 30-24 road victory last season. The do it again. The Spartans will try to bounce back from that woeful on-field performance when they open their Big Ten season against undefeated Maryland at East Lansing, Mich. The Terrapins (3-0) have outscored their three non-conference opponents 118-40 this season. He threw for 342 yards and a touchdown in a 42-14 victory over Virginia last week. Tagovailoa passed for 314 yards and a touchdown in Maryland's 27-13 victory over the Spartans last season. But, after last weeks loss to Washington the Spartans come to play. Take MICHIGAN STATE! |

09-18-23 | Orioles v. Astros -159 | 8-7 | Loss | -159 | 10 h 7 m | Show
Baltimore at Houston 8:10 ET Astros over Orioles- This play is primarily posted because Baltimore clinched a playoff spot their first since 2016 yesterday with their win over Tampa Bay and they may be playing tonight’s game with a sigh of relief. Meanwhile the first palce Astros are being hounded by Texas, Seattle and Toronto for the final AL wild card spot if not the division outright. Justin Verlander (5-3, 3.86 ERA) has seen better days having been knocked around two of his last three starts but is 10-6, 3.62 ERA in 24 lifetime appearances against the Orioles but is only 1-4 in his last eight starts. The O’s should be hung over. Take HOUSTON! |

The Phillies (81-68) own sole possession of the first wild-card spot in the National League by three games over the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Braves (96-53) lost their third straight game since clinching their sixth consecutive NL East title. Before this weekend, they hadn't lost a series to an NL East opponent all season. 09-18-23 | Saints v. Panthers +3.5 | Top | 20-17 | Win | 100 | 17 h 1 m | Show |
New Orleans at Carolina 8:20 ET Panthers (+) over Saints- One thing both of these clubs have in common is that the both stared the season with ‘new’ quarterback under center (sometimes). The New Orleans Saints won their first game with their new quarterback while the Carolina Panthers lost their first game with a new signal caller. Now Derek Carr after nine seasons as a Raiders will be and Saints leader when they visit Bryce Young and the Panthers on Monday night. Now Carr and Young are beginning an NFC South rivalry. Carr had a limited running game to work with. The Saints finished with just 69 yards while leading rusher Alvin Kamara served the first game of a three-game season. Young, whose longest completion gained 14 yards, was intercepted twice by Jessie Bates III last week and will be facing a Saints defense that intercepted Tennessee's Ryan Tannehill three times. The Panthers lost at Atlanta but dominated play holding the ball 10 minutes more than the Falcons and allowing just 13 First Downs and only 221 total yards. Take CAROLINA! |
|||||||
09-18-23 | White Sox -114 v. Nationals | 6-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 13 m | Show
Chicago White Sox at Washington 7:10 ET White Sox over Nationals- I can’t believe that I actually have posted the Chicago White Sox who I swore off early in the season after having witnessed their play. It was one of the wiser things that I have done this season, but here I am at the well again looking to drink some tainted water. The reason to me is clear here as Washington a full 10-games better than Chicago and yet at home they are an underdog. The difference in the price is because of the starters. For the White Sox it is Mike Clevinger (7-8, 3.61 ERA) and for the Nats it will be Joan Adon (2-2, 5.92) who has surrendered 23 runs in his last six starts in 31 innings. Take the WHITE SOX! |
|||||||

New England defense that produced three sacks, three tackles for loss, four pass break-ups, four quarterback hits and a fumble recovery in Week 1 and lost. This week it will good enough. Take NEW ENGLAND! |

09-17-23 | Jets +9 v. Cowboys | 10-30 | Loss | -110 | 23 h 46 m | Show
New York Jets at Dallas 4:25 ET Jets (+) over Cowboys- Aaron Rodgers' season-ending injury sent the New York Jets into a temporary darkness retreat, but head coach Robert Saleh proclaimed his team plans a revival behind a rugged defense and backup quarterback Zach Wilson. Wilson takes the reins as the Jets (1-0) head to Dallas to measure up to the Cowboys (1-0), who annihilated the Giants 40-0 in Week 1. Dallas had three takeaways and gave up 171 total yards to the Giants. The Jets coach Saleh's background is defense and New York made Josh Allen look ordinary with four turnovers (three interceptions, one fumble) in the overtime win for the Jets. Dak Prescott and the Cowboys' offense barely broke a sweat in the drizzle Sunday night while taking apart the Giants and will find to going a bit tougher this time out. The Jets can run the ball. Take NEW YORK J-E-T-S! |

New York Giants at Arizona 4:05 ET Cardinals (+) over Giants- Coming off a 40-0 home shellacking by the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football, the Giants travel to Glendale, Ariz., to play a Cardinals team with first-time head coach Jonathan Gannon. The Giants had three turnovers, were 5-for-16 on third down and scored no points on two trips to the red zone. They were pushed back from the 8-yard line to the 27 on the first possession of the game, and a 45-yard field-goal attempt by Graham Gano was blocked and returned 58 yards for a touchdown. Things only got worse after that as quarterback Daniel Jones was 15-for-28 for 104 yards, was sacked seven times and had a passer rating of 32.4. The Cardinals led 16-10 in the fourth quarter at Washington before Quarterback Joshua Dobbs lost two fumbles, one on a sack and one on a botched center exchange, which the Commanders turned into 10 points and the narrow 20-16 victory. the Cardinals have won only one of their last 13 home games but the Giants are not ready. Texas at Cleveland 1:40 ET Watch Dogs over Rangers- The Rangers (82-66) brought a six-game winning streak into this series but lost 12-3 on Friday and then fell on Saturday 2-1. Texas trails the first-place Houston Astros by a half-game in the American League West but holds the second wild-card spot in the league. The Rangers averaged 7.8 runs per game during their six-game winning streak, but their bats have gone mostly quiet against Cleveland, especially in key situations. Cleveland plans to start rookie right-hander Gavin Williams (2-5, 3.43 ERA) while the Rangers have not announced a starter for the series finale. Take CLEVELAND! |
|||||||
09-17-23 | Chiefs v. Jaguars +3.5 | Top | 17-9 | Loss | -122 | 19 h 25 m | Show |
Megabucks Kansas City at Jacksonville 1:00 ET Jaguars (+) over Chiefs- Jacksonville won its opener, 31-21 over the host Indianapolis Colts last Sunday, while the Chiefs fell 21-20 to the visiting Detroit Lions last Thursday. The Jaguars (1-0) have their eyes on snapping their seven-game slide against the Chiefs (0-1) when two of the AFC top teams meet Sunday in north Florida. Baltimore at Cincinnati 1:00 ET Bengals (-) over Ravens- These two AFC North rivals had distinctly different opening weeks to the NFL season and will meet on Sunday when the Baltimore Ravens face the host Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals (0-1) will face a second AFC North rival in as many weeks. Cincinnati is looking to bounce back from a 24-3 loss to the host Cleveland Browns in Week 1. The Ravens (1-0) beat the visiting Texans 25-9 in their home opener, sacking C.J. Stroud five times and holding Houston to just 268 yards of total offense. The Bengals also started 0-3 in the division before turning things around. Take CINCINNATI! |
|||||||
09-16-23 | TCU v. Houston +7.5 | 36-13 | Loss | -105 | 20 h 45 m | Show
Power Play TCU at Houston 8:00 ET Cougars (+) over Horned Frogs- The Horned Frogs and Cougars haven't played each other since 2007, so it will be the renewal of what was a regular rivalry in the 1980s, ‘90s and a majority of the 2000s. It will also be the first conference game for Houston as a member of the Big 12, so the game will be the start of what should be an annual rivalry between in-state conference foes. Following a loss to Colorado in the season opener, TCU responded with a lopsided 41-6 win over Nicholls last week. As is the case with a lot of teams, the Cougars are still trying to find cohesion after welcoming in a healthy amount of transfers during the off season, most notably starting quarterback Donovan Smith. A transfer from Texas Tech, Smith is second on the team in rushing at 88 yards through the first two games, and is 46 of 76 passing for 493 yards and four touchdowns. Houston enters with a foul taste in its mouth after losing at city rival Rice, 43-41 in two overtimes. Take HOUSTON! |

09-16-23 | Syracuse v. Purdue +2.5 | Top | 35-20 | Loss | -105 | 19 h 17 m | Show |
Megabucks Syracuse at Purdue 7:00 ET Boilermakers (+) over Orange- Syracuse has been impressive through the first two weeks of the season, but things get dicey with the challenge that they will see when they travel to take on Purdue in West Lafayette, Ind. The Orange (2-0) trounced Colgate 65-0 on Sept. 2 and whipped Western Michigan 48-7 last Saturday. They are third nationally in scoring offense, trailing only Oregon and USC, and their defense has been stout, as well. No team has yielded fewer points per game than Syracuse (3.5), which has recorded a defensive touchdown in each of its first two games. Syracuse won last season's meeting with Purdue, 32-29, as the teams combined for 42 fourth-quarter points. The Boilermakers outlasted Virginia Tech and there was a weather related delay of nearly 5 1/2 hours in last weekend's 24-17 road triumph. What is particularly noteworthy is that Purdue (1-1) is one of only nine FBS teams that has yet to commit a turnover this season. Take PURDUE |

Tampa Bay at Baltimore 7:10 ET Rays over Orioles- The Tampa Bay Rays beat the host Baltimore Orioles for the second straight game on Friday night, and the teams enter their match-up tied atop the division. While the Rays (92-57) have won nine of their past 11 games, the Orioles (91-56) have lost four straight, matching their season high. Saturday, Tampa Bay's Tyler Glasnow (9-5, 3.15 ERA) will oppose rookie right-hander Grayson Rodriguez (5-4, 4.88) in a matchup of right-handers. Glasnow has won his last two starts, allowing a combined five runs over 12 innings and striking out 22 while walking three. Last time out, he permitted four runs on six hits, over six innings during a win over the Minnesota Twins on Monday. He is 0-1 with a 6.35 ERA in two starts vs. the Orioles this season and 4-1 with a 3.13 ERA in eight career starts against Baltimore. Rodriguez has lowered his ERA from 7.33 to 4.88 over his past nine starts, giving up three earned runs or less in each outing. He is 2-1 with a 2.20 ERA over his past three starts. Rodriguez is 1-0 with a 3.18 ERA in two starts vs. Tampa Bay this season. but it won’t be enough today. take TAMPA BAY! |

09-16-23 | Vanderbilt v. UNLV +5.5 | 37-40 | Win | 100 | 19 h 33 m | Show
Vegas Hotline Vanderbilt at UNLV 7:00 ET Rebels (+) over Commodores- Vanderbilt will aim to bounce back from a disappointing loss when it visits UNLV on Saturday. The Commodores (2-1) fell 36-20 to host Wake Forest last week, due in part to three turnovers they also allowed Wake Forest to rush for 288 yards on 48 carries. The Rebels will host a Southeastern Conference team in the regular season for the first time. They fell 35-7 at No. 2 Michigan on Saturday as UNLV quarterback Doug Brumfield was 10 of 19 for 100 yards passing, while backup Jayden Maiava went 5 of 7 for 68 yards. UNLV, which was playing without injured starting left guard Alani Makihele, had no turnovers vs. the Wolverines. Rebels have enough to win his one on the field. Take UNLV! |

Texas at Cleveland 6:10 ET Watch Dogs over Rangers- Cleveland (70-78) had been failing quite a bit, losing eight of 11 games before erupting for 15 hits in the series opener. The Rangers (82-65), who trail the Houston Astros (83-65) by a half-game in the American League West, saw their six-game winning streak come to a screeching halt. Texas, which holds the second AL wild-card spot, mustered only two hits over seven innings against Lucas Giolito, who struck out 12. Home team will start rookie right-hander Tanner Bibee (10-4, 3.03 ERA). Bibee has yielded just two earned runs in each of his past four outings but has just one win to show for it. Rangers right-hander Dane Dunning (10-6, 3.91 ERA) recorded his first win since Aug. 2 and he is 0-2 with a 9.82 ERA in three career appearances (all starts) against the former Tribesman.. Take CLEVELAND! |

Seattle is also in third place in the AL West, 1 1/2 games behind division-leading Houston and a half-game back of second-place Texas. Dodgers rookie right-hander Bobby Miller (9-3, 3.98 ERA) is scheduled to start the opener against Mariners right-hander George Kirby (10-9, 3.48), with both pitchers facing the opposing team for the first time. Since giving up just three hits over nine innings in a no-decision against the Baltimore Orioles, Kirby is 0-1 with a 6.00 over his past four starts. Miller, is coming off a no-decision in the Dodgers' 7-6 loss in 11 innings Saturday at Washington. Miller allowed five runs on six hits over seven innings, with two walks and a career-high eight strikeouts. Take SEATTLE! |

09-15-23 | Rays -122 v. Orioles | Top | 7-1 | Win | 100 | 8 h 27 m | Show |
Tampa Bay at Baltimore 7:00 ET Rays over Orioles- Tampa Bay and the Baltimore Orioles will meet Friday night in the second game of a four-game series that will figure heavily in who wins the American League East. Tampa Bay (91-57) prevailed 4-3 on Thursday night to pull within one game of first-place Baltimore (91-55). The Rays are as close as they have been to the Orioles since they were one game back on July 22. Tampa Bay has won six of its past seven games. The Orioles have dropped three games in a row for the first time since they snapped a four-game skid on July 2. Right-hander Zach Eflin (14-8, 3.53 ERA), who will start for the Rays on Friday night, blanked the Orioles on two hits for seven innings in a July 21 home victory. He has gone 3-3 with a 3.91 ERA in nine starts since then. Right-hander Jack Flaherty (8-8, 4.98 ERA) heads to the mound for the Orioles. 09-14-23 | Vikings +6 v. Eagles | Top | 28-34 | Push | 0 | 20 h 54 m | Show |
Money Game winner Minnesota at Philadelphia 8:15 ET Vikings (+) over Eagles- My original thoughts on this meeting is that the Eagles will play a better game this week than they did in their opening week win at New England. This season it would be fitting for Minnesota to take a big fall after a string of close wins last year and it might be catch up with them where they lose close games. In my way of thinking I should be all over the Vikings after a home loss but with just 41 yards rushing they shouldn’t do much better against this one of the NFL’s tougher defenses. But, Philly managed just 251 yards on offense against the Patriots. Not, enough tonight. Take MINNESOTA! |
|||||||
09-14-23 | Navy +13.5 v. Memphis | 24-28 | Win | 100 | 8 h 27 m | Show
Navy at Memphis 7:30 Midshipman (+) over Tigers- Navy’s opening defeat to Notre Dame in Dublin saw them get torn to shreds both on the ground and through the air. Running back Audric Estime gained 95 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries for the Irish, but he also caught two passes for 26 yards. The Navy defensive coordinator last season Brian Newberry is now their head coach. The Tigers are off a win against the softest team on their schedule and will find the Middies a tougher competitor. Take NAVY! |
|||||||
09-14-23 | Diamondbacks v. Mets -112 | Top | 1-11 | Win | 100 | 5 h 28 m | Show |
Arizona at New York Mets 4:10 ET Mets over Diamondbacks- The New York Mets' three-game sweep at Arizona in early July helped send the Diamondbacks into a spiral that nearly ruined their season. Thursday afternoon they face the Mets in the final clash of the season between the teams. Merrill Kelly (11-6, 3.16 ERA) is slated to start for the Diamondbacks against fellow right-hander Kodai Senga (10-7, 3.07). Senga the 30-year-old rookie won his lone start against the Diamondbacks on July 5, when he gave up one run over a season-high eight innings in New York's 2-1 victory. Senga matched his career high with 12 strikeouts in that contest. Kelly is 1-3 with a 3.81 ERA in four career starts against the Mets. Take the NEW YORK METS! |

09-13-23 | Marlins +100 v. Brewers | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 9 h 51 m | Show
Miami at Milwaukee 7:40 ET Marlins over Brewers- This is a tough call as Milwaukee has won 10 of 11 home games while Miami trails Arizona by 1.5 games for the final NL wild-card spot. Left-hander Braxton Garrett (8-6, 3.82 ERA) will start for the Marlins, while hard-throwing reliever Trevor Megill (1-0, 3.38) will start for the Brewers. The Marlins are 7-3 in their last 10 games. Megill, who routinely hits 100 mph with his fastball, will be making his first major league start after 93 relief appearances. Garrett is 3-3 with a 2.68 ERA over his past eight starts. 09-10-23 | Cowboys -3 v. Giants | 40-0 | Win | 100 | 8 h 18 m | Show
Dallas at New York Giants 8:15 ET Cowboys (-) over Giants- New York started last season 7-2, stumbled down the stretch, eventually made the playoffs and beat the Minnesota Vikings in the wild-card round before losing to Philadelphia. Dallas has one of its most talented collections of players in recent memory and wants to avoid under performing in the playoffs, in owner Jerry Jones' eyes. New York arrived on the playoff scene ahead of schedule last year and is bringing back the same core with some improvements on both sides of the ball. The Cowboys are again rolling with Dak Prescott as the starting quarterback. He was criticized for throwing 15 interceptions a year ago, but the Cowboys are confident he will "own" a revamped offense with head coach Mike McCarthy taking over play-calling. The Cowboys have won 11 of the past 12 meetings with the Giants, including another prime-time visit to New Jersey last September, a 23-16 Monday night victory. They do it again...Take DALLAS! |

09-10-23 | Eagles v. Patriots +3.5 | 25-20 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 22 m | Show
Megabucks Philadelphia at New England 4:25 ET Patriots (+) over Eagles- There is a history of Super Bowl losers having a bigger hangover than the big game’s winner. Philadelphia blew a 24-14 halftime lead against Kansas City and they realize it is long road to get back to that game. New England has been picked to finish last in the AL East Division and very little is expected of them this season. That is always a time to watch out as professionals do like to be counted out before the games are even played. Early season play is a live with the dogs as their spirits are still high for the season. Look for the Patriots to ambush the Eagles in their season opener. Take NEW ENGLAND! |
|||||||
09-10-23 | Packers +1.5 v. Bears | Top | 38-20 | Win | 100 | 4 h 20 m | Show |
Green Bay at Chicago 4:25 ET Packers (+) over Bears- This an opportunity for the Packers to a man to show the league and the public that they can win without having to rely on Aaron Rodgers. Chicago has put their future in the hands of quarterbacks Justin Field who may be the worst passing QB in the NFL but he may also be the best runner. Having run for 1,146 yard last season set all kinds of records but he only had two games with more than 200 yards passing as the Bears were dead last by a far margin in passing yardage. the best quarterback on the field will be Jordan Love who finally gets his chance to show his stuff and he will. Take GREEN BAY! |
|||||||
09-10-23 | Brewers v. Yankees -130 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 3 h 50 m | Show
Milwaukee at NY Yankees 1:35 ET Yankees over Brewers- New York Right-hander Gerrit Cole (13-4, 2.90 ERA) will start for the Yankees as he attempts to win four straight starts for the second time this year. Since allowing six runs in an 8-1 loss to the Boston Red Sox, Cole is 3-0 with a 1.83 ERA. Cole has given up two runs or less in 22 of his 29 starts and allowed one run on eight hits in six innings of a 5-1 win over the Detroit Tigers Tuesday night. Cole is 4-4 with a 3.62 ERA in 14 career starts against the Brewers. He most recently faced them last Sept. 18 when he allowed four runs on four hits in five innings during New York's 12-8 win. Milwaukee starts Corbin Burnes (9-8, 3.63) will attempt to halt an eight-game winless skid as he makes his first career appearance against the Yankees. Since pitching eight innings of two-hit ball in a win at Philadelphia on July 20, the right-hander is 0-3 with 3.99 ERA. Take NEW YORK! |

09-09-23 | Auburn v. California +6 | 14-10 | Win | 100 | 27 h 34 m | Show
Auburn at California 10:30 ET Golden Bears (+) over Tigers- Auburn an SEC power for years opened the season with a 59-14 win over a non-competitive UMass team that was out of their league. With a load of transfers the Tigers ran for 289 yards and six touchdowns. Like Auburn, Cal had a lot of success running the ball in its season-opening win over North Texas. The Bears' ground attack finished with 357 yards and six touchdowns. Dynamic runner Jaydn Ott averaged 9.4 yards per carry and finished with 188 yards and two scores. Isaiah Ifanse tallied 54 yards and three TDs. Ben Finley replaced an injured Sam Jackson and completed 24 of 34 passes for 289 yards and a touchdown. Cal has enough...take CALIFORNIA |

San Diego at Houston 7:10 ET Padres over Astros- The Astros (80-62) seized sole possession of first place in the American League West for the first time this season with their dismantling of the Rangers. But Friday the Astros absorbed an 11-2 beating in the opener of a three-game interleague series vs. San Diego. 09-09-23 | Oregon v. Texas Tech +6.5 | Top | 38-30 | Loss | -110 | 23 h 3 m | Show |
Oregon at Texas Tech 7:00 ET Red Raiders (+) over Ducks- Two years ago I was spewing about the incompetence of Auburn quarterback Bo Nix who transferred to Oregon last season. Well, the move has done him good and he has matured into a Heisman front runner leading the Ducks to an 81-7 romp over Portland State going 23-of-27 for 287 yards. Texas Tech was a beaten favorite (-14) as Vegas Hotline winner Wyoming won outright 35-33. The Red Raiders opened a 17-0 first quarter lead and then tried to rest on their laurels. Returning home the will be ready for the Ducks who are flying high but will be shocked by the Raiders intensity. Take TEXAS TECH! |

SMU at Oklahoma 6:30 ET Mustangs (+) over Sooners- We have seen this before! Oklahoma starts the season by annihilating an undermanned opponent and this year is no different as the routed Arkansas State 73-0. SMU started fast building a 31-0 halftime lead defeating Louisiana Tech 38-14. The Mustangs put up 465 yards on offense and held Tech to 38rds rushing. They can keep it close with their balanced offense. Take SMU! |

Notre Dame at N.C. State 12:00 ET Wolfpack (+) over Fighting Irish- Okay, after playing two of the weakest team in college football Notre Dame appears to be ready to challenge the field for a finals berth. Hey, not so fast, this will be the first real football that they will play and the adjustment might be more difficult than they conceive. NC State slept walked through 416their opening 24-14 win at Connecticut in a non-cover victory. The Wolfpack have been laying-in-wait for the Irish to show up in Raleigh and have had 10 days and two game films to study. Take NORTH CAROLINA STATE! |

09-09-23 | Utah v. Baylor +7.5 | 20-13 | Win | 100 | 16 h 1 m | Show
Utah at Baylor 12:000 ET Bears (+) over Utes- Utah had their way in their opener hosting Florida dominating the Gators in a 24-11 win while holding them to 13 yards rushing in 21 attempts. Baylor (-26) was ambushed by Texas State 42-31 outright while out-gaining the Bobcats by over 100 yards. The Bears passed for 416 yards but three turnover did them in. Quarterback question for the Bears but they will claw their way to an ATS of not outright win here. Take BAYLOR! |

09-09-23 | Nebraska +3 v. Colorado | Top | 14-36 | Loss | -110 | 16 h 59 m | Show |
Nebraska at Colorado 12:00 ET Cornhuskers (+) over Buffaloes- If you have not seen the highlights of Colorado’s upset victory over TCU them you have missed an awesome display of raw speed, quickness, great instinct and football awareness. The Buffaloes’ behind QB Shedeur Sanders set a school record of 510 yards passing and four touchdowns completely 37-of-48 attempts. The Buffs did surrender 262 yards rushing and this week they will face a club that in know for running the ball and they gained 181 yards on the ground against Minnesota in their 13-10 loss. Colorado will spend the week a ‘Mile High’ off their 21-point upset win. Take NEBRASKA! |

09-08-23 | Mets -112 v. Twins | 2-5 | Loss | -112 | 18 h 6 m | Show
New York Mets at Minnesota 8:05 ET Mets over Twins- Minnesota Left-hander Dallas Keuchel (1-1, 5.06 ERA) will make his fifth start for the Twins and will be opposed by right-hander Kodai Senga (10-7, 3.08). Keuchel is coming off a no-decision at Texas on Saturday when he allowed five runs on five hits, including home runs to Adolis Garcia and Sam Huff, over 3 1/3 innings in a game the Twins rallied to win 9-7 in 10 innings. The 2015 AL Cy Young Award winner is 1-1 with a 2.00 ERA in three career starts against the Mets with all three appearances coming in 2019 when he pitched for the Atlanta Braves. Senga has been one of the few bright spots for an underachieving New York team that went into full rebuild mode at the trade deadline. He received a no-decision in an eventual 2-1 win over Seattle last Friday when he allowed just one run on five hits over seven innings. He walked two and matched his career high with 12 strikeouts. Take the METS! |

After starting the season 5-1, Brown has lost nine of 14 decisions with a 5.56 ERA plus 15 home runs allowed over 15 starts. Left-hander Blake Snell (12-9, 2.50) has the starting assignment for the Padres on Friday. Snell, a leading candidate for the National League Cy Young Award, paces the NL in ERA, opponent batting average (.191) and opponent OPS (.611), and ranks second in both swing and miss percentage (37.0) and strikeouts (201). However, he also has recorded the most walks (89) and wild pitches (12) in the majors. Snell is 6-1 with a 2.11 ERA over his last eight starts. 09-08-23 | Illinois +3 v. Kansas | Top | 23-34 | Loss | -108 | 55 h 20 m | Show |
Illinois at Kansas 7:30 ET Fighting Illini (+) over Jayhawks- Kansas is 1-0 and off to a winning start by routing undermanned Missouri State 48-17 Friday night while the Illinois needed late heroics to defeat Toledo 30-28. Jayhawks QB Jalon Daniels was replace because of injury by Jason Bean who went 22-of-28 for two TD’s and 276 yards. These two meet for the first time since 1968 and the first time in Lawrence since 1892. Jayhawks still just 3-8 in their last 11 overall and being favored here is a bit of a stretch. Take ILLINOIS! |

09-08-23 | Mariners -109 v. Rays | Top | 4-7 | Loss | -109 | 17 h 42 m | Show |
Seattle at Tampa Bay 6:40 ET Mariners over Rays- Although the team is winning behind George Kirby (10-9, 3.39 ERA) 7-of-8 starts he has not picked up a win since July 25. Seattle had an August that put them back in the AL West race challenging Houston and the fading Rangers. Tampa Bay had lost five straight games when Taj Bradley (5-7, 5.42) before his last outing against Cleveland on Sunday a 6-2 win where he allowed just two runs on three hits in five innings with five base-on-balls. Kirby has the advantage. take SEATTLE! |

09-07-23 | Lions v. Chiefs -4.5 | Top | 21-20 | Loss | -110 | 31 h 23 m | Show |
Detroit at Kansas City 8:15 ET Chiefs (-) over Lions- Detroit closed the 2022 NFL regular season as one of the top five clubs in the NFL, starting 1-6 they then won 8-of-10 to close the year including a final game 20-16 win knocking the Packers out of the playoffs. During the off-season the Lions were seen by the public as the possible upstart Division and a futures winner. Kansas City will most likely be without Travis Kelce and believe me it won’t matter all that much. Since taking over in Kansas City coach Andy Reid is 9-1 in opening week and undefeated since Mahomes arrival. The Chiefs have the pride that comes with being a champion...take KANSAS CITY! |

He fanned 10 Orioles in 6 1/3 innings in his most recent start against the Orioles. Shohei Ohtani may return to the Angels lineup Wednesday after sitting out due to oblique tightness. 09-04-23 | Clemson v. Duke +13 | Top | 7-28 | Win | 100 | 9 h 23 m | Show |
Clemson at Duke 8:00 ET Blue Devils (+) over Tigers- I’m not so sure this isn’t a hate bet against the Tigers as they have been so disappointing ATS in the past (at least when it seems I had them). Clemson went 11-3 last season and once again dominated the ACC having one of the easiest schedules in the nation. Duke under first year coach Mike Elco won nine of 13 decisions their highest win total since 2014. The Blue Devils return 98% of their offensive production while Clemson lost four player to the NFL draft. Houston at Texas 4:05 ET Rangers over Astros- Did Texas get off the snide with their ninth inning victory over the Twins Sunday...it was just their fourth win in the past two weeks. The Rangers will start Andrew Heaney (9-6, 4.16 ERA) and he has won his last four decisions and in unbeaten in nine straight starts. JP France (9-5, 3.51) gets the nod for Houston and just defeated Boston on Tuesday after having surrendered 10 earned runs the previous start against the on Thursday. Take TEXAS! |

San Francisco at Chicago Cubs 2:20 ET Giants over Cubs- Chicago scored 17 runs yesterday in routing the Reds in Cincinnati, they had 18 hits and the first eight batter in their line-up raised their batting average. San Francisco has won six of the last 10 meetings but the Cubs are 2-1 this season taking the series at SF the second week of June. Logan Webb (9-11, 3.49 ERA) will take the ball for the Giants and he is looking for his first win in six starts with his last coming on August 2nd. Chicago will start their season’s best in Justin Steele (15-3, 2.69) who threw six shutout innings against the Brewers on Tuesday and has the lead for NL Cy Young. But, when eight guys improve their average on the same day I expect them to fall of a bit and what a perfect spot as they will be over-confident with Steele on the mound...I would be! Take SAN FRANCISCO! |

Arizona is getting back on track and will be sending Zac Gallen (16-6, 3.32) to the hill and he had won three straight before getting racked by the Dodgers last time out.
