04-19-24 | Diamondbacks v. Giants -120 | 17-1 | Loss | -120 | 9 h 44 m | Show
Arizona at San Francisco 10:15 ET Giants over Diamondbacks- Jordan Montgomery is set to make his Diamondbacks debut when he opposes fellow left-hander Blake Snell. Snell (0-2, 12.86 ERA), the reigning National League Cy Young Award winner, signed a two-year, $62 million deal with the Giants on March 19, nine days before Montgomery joined the Diamondbacks on a one-year, $25 million contract. He is 5-1 with a 1.11 ERA in eight career starts against the Diamondbacks. Montgomery split time between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Texas Rangers last season, going 10-11 with a 3.20 ERA in 32 starts. He went 3-1 with a 2.90 ERA in six postseason games (five starts) while helping lead Texas to the World Series championship. He has faced the Giants twice in his career, both times last season and is 0-1 with a 2.19 ERA. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |

04-19-24 | Blue Jays -105 v. Padres | 5-1 | Win | 100 | 8 h 10 m | Show
Toronto at San Diego 9:40 ET Blue Jays over Padres- Coming off three straight series wins, San Diego will trot out No. 5 starter Matt Waldron (0-1, 3.14 ERA) to open this series. The knuckleballer is coming off a no-decision Saturday at the Los Angeles Dodgers, allowing one run over five innings in the team's 5-2 loss. This will be the right-hander's first career appearance against Toronto. Toronto starts the trip with rookie Yariel Rodriguez (0-0, 2.45) scheduled to start. He made his big league debut Saturday in a 5-3 victory over Colorado, lasting 3 2/3 innings and 68 pitches. The right-hander gave up four hits and a run with two walks and six strikeouts. The Cuban-born Rodriguez's stuff and emotions were both electric and his energy in catching. Take TORONTO! |

04-19-24 | Kings v. Pelicans +1.5 | Top | 98-105 | Win | 100 | 26 h 16 m | Show |
Sacramento at New Orleans 9:30 ET Pelicans (+) over Kings- I couldn’t have asked for a better set-up (in my mind anyway) as the Kings fly into New Orleans after eliminating their perennial nemesis. It was more than a just setting the Warriors aside it was the manner in which they dismantled Golden State and were in complete command. New Orleans of course with be without Zion Williamson which is not so unusual but it did come when he appeared to be reaching his potential. The Pelicans were 8-4 ATS without Williamson this season and there is more. The line jumped from the home team Pelicans at -2 to the visiting Kings to -1.5 and I expect it to go higher from their. But, here is the dirty little secret that the bookies are aware of and now you will be aware of it. New Orleans actually has played and is rated a half-point better in the 12 game played without Williamson. I love that the expectations have shifted but no the players will. Take NEW ORLEANS! |

04-19-24 | Brewers v. Cardinals +103 | Top | 2-1 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 45 m | Show |
Milwaukee at St. Louis 8:30 ET Cardinals over Brewers- The Brewers could really use a quality start from Freddy Peralta to relieve pressure on their bullpen, which has shouldered a heavy workload so far this season. Starters have thrown 80 innings, with the bullpen shouldering 71. Peralta (2-0, 2.55 ERA) has been up to the task while striking out 26 batters and walking two in 17 2/3 innings in three starts. Milwaukee defeated the San Diego Padres 1-0 on Wednesday with a bullpen start, with five relievers combining to blank the Padres. Last season, Peralta was 1-2 with a 4.15 ERA in three starts against the Cardinals. In his career, Peralta is 3-6 with a 5.86 ERA in 15 appearances, including 11 starts. Kyle Gibson (1-2, 6.16 ERA) has struggled for the Cardinals since signing as a free agent. He has allowed five homers in 19 innings over his three starts. Gibson is 1-2 with a 5.44 ERA in eight career starts against the Brewers but gets the win tonight. Tale ST. LOUIS! |

04-17-24 | Heat +5.5 v. 76ers | 104-105 | Win | 100 | 10 h 36 m | Show
Miami at Philadelphia 7:30 ET 76ers (-) over Heat- The Philadelphia 76ers are a much better team with Joel Embiid in the lineup and he is the Most Valuable Player in the NBA if you count wins and losses. There is a noticeable difference in the way the 76ers play when the reigning NBA MVP is on the floor. Jimmy Butler who was traded from the 76ers to the Heat in the summer of 2019, has guided Miami to two NBA Finals appearances in the last four seasons. The loser of Wednesday's contest will play an elimination game on Friday against either the Chicago Bulls or Atlanta Hawks for the eighth seed -- and the right to play the top-seeded Boston Celtics. Take MIAMI! |
|||||||
04-17-24 | Yankees v. Blue Jays -105 | 6-4 | Loss | -105 | 5 h 15 m | Show
New York Yankees at Toronto 3:07 ET Blue Jays over Yankees- The Blue Jays extended their winning streak to four games Tuesday night when they held on for a 5-4 victory over the Yankees, who have lost three consecutive contests for the first time this season. Toronto is scheduled to start struggling Kevin Gausman (0-2, 11.57 ERA) on Wednesday against fellow right-hander and former Blue Jay Marcus Stroman (1-1, 2.12). Stroman is 0-0 with an 0.82 ERA in two career starts vs. Toronto. Gausman is 10-8 with a 3.27 ERA in 32 career outings (26 starts) against the Yankees. This will be the second time Stroman has pitched in Toronto since he was traded to the New York Mets during the 2019 season. He held the Blue Jays to one run over five innings with the Chicago Cubs. Take TOTONTO! |

04-16-24 | Warriors -3 v. Kings | Top | 94-118 | Loss | -110 | 18 h 56 m | Show |
Golden State at Sacramento 10:00 ET Warriors (-) over Kings- The winner of the game between the No. 10 seed Warriors (46-36) and No. 9 Kings (46-36) will advance to play either the No. 8 Los Angeles Lakers or No. 7 New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night. The winner on Friday advances to play the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the playoffs the loser-goes-home Western Conference in this play-in contest. The history of losing to the Warriors made last season's postseason ouster feel even harsher for Sacramento. They floundered down the stretch with five setbacks in six games prior to hammering the visiting Portland Trail Blazers 121-82 in Sunday's regular-season finale.The Warriors had a hot finish with 10 wins in 12 games, including Sunday's 123-116 home win over the Utah Jazz. The teams split four regular-season meetings this season, going 1-1 in both Sacramento and San Francisco. The Kings have been favored in the past six home game against the Warriors and yet the 10-seed is favored on the road over the 7-seed. Smells...take GOLDEN STATE! |
|||||||
04-16-24 | Cubs +111 v. Diamondbacks | 11-12 | Loss | -100 | 17 h 18 m | Show
Chicago Cubs at Arizona 9:40 ET Cubs over Diamondbacks- The Cubs Kyle Kendericks (0-2, 12.80 ERA) is 5-3 lifetime against the Diamondbacks while surrendering seven runs twice in two losses to them, but that all happened in 2019. He was bombed last time out by San Diego and I expect he will settle down against a team that we should fade a bit this season. Arizona will send out Tommy Henry (0-1, 5.71) to the hill who has surrendered 16 hits and 10 runs in just 14 innings. Take CHICAGO CUBS! |
|||||||
04-16-24 | Padres -121 v. Brewers | 6-3 | Win | 100 | 15 h 19 m | Show
San Diego at Milwaukee 8:00 ET Padres over Brewers- San Diego’s off season acquisition Dylan Cease (1-1, 2.19 ERA) has had three starts and he has been the most impressive of all Padres pitchers surrendering just eight hits in 17 innings with 20 strikeouts and four earned runs. Milwaukee will start Wade Miley (0-0, 2.25) who is 2-6 lifetime giving 52 runs in 93 innings and ERA of 5.23. Cease is 0-1 with an ERA of 2.56 in his lone start giving up just two runs on five hits striking out seven while walking just one but, received no run support while with the White Sox last season. Take SAN DIEGO! |
|||||||
04-16-24 | Pirates v. Mets -125 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 15 h 50 m | Show
Pittsburgh at New York Mets 7:10 ET Mets over Pirates- In the past four years New York Mets starter Jose Quintana (1-1, 3.45 ERA) has pitched for six teams and has a grand total of nine wins coming into this season. In the two year prior to the last six he had 26 wins in a pair of season’s 2018-19 with the Chicago Cubs winning 13 in each campaign. He is 5-2 lifetime against Pittsburgh only allowing nine earned runs in 35 innings. Like last year the Buc’s started fast so fast were they that they had their best franchise record for quick start winning their first five and nine of 11. But, they have reverted back to form and have dropped four of six. Take NEW YORK METS! |
|||||||
04-15-24 | Braves v. Astros +103 | 6-1 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 26 m | Show
Atlanta at Houston 8:40 ET Astros over Braves- Houston Astros rookie right-hander Spencer Arrighetti (0-1, 21.00 ERA) will make his second career start on Monday. In his big league debut Wednesday he was roughed up by Kansas City. Atlanta Braves right-hander Darius Vines (1-0, 3.98 ERA in 2023) was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett and will start the series opener on Monday. The 25-year-old made five appearances (two starts) for the Braves last season. The Astros have won the past four meetings all in Atlanta. After a 4-11 start the Astros have won their last two over Series Champion Rangers. Take HOUSTON! |
|||||||
04-15-24 | Padres +100 v. Brewers | Top | 7-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 59 m | Show |
San Diego at Milwaukee 7:40 ET Padres over Brewers- The Milwaukee Brewers will look to bounce back behind resurrected right-hander Joe Ross (1-0, 1.80 ERA), who missed most of the last two seasons after a second Tommy John surgery. Right-hander Joe Musgrove (1-2, 6.87), who gave up one hit over eight innings the last time he faced the Brewers, gets the nod for the Padres. Ross is 2-1 with a 4.00 ERA in five career outings, including three starts, against San Diego, the team that drafted him in the first round in 2011. Musgrove is 1-3 with a 4.04 ERA in eight career starts vs. Milwaukee. His lone victory was in his most recent start against the Brewers and he does it again here. Take SAN DIEGO! |

Pittsburgh at NY Mets 7:10 ET Mets over Pirates- Left-hander Martin Perez (1-0, 1.89 ERA) is scheduled to start for the Pirates against right-hander Adrian Houser (0-1, 5.40). The Pirates will look to continue their strong early-season start and the Mets hope to climb to .500 on Monday night when the teams open a three-game series in New York. The Pirates to 11-5 for the first time since 2018 and matched their best 16-game start this century. Perez is 4-0 with a 2.88 ERA in eight career games (four starts) against the Mets. He is 4-3 with a 3.79 ERA in 14 games (10 starts) against the Pirates. Take NEW YORK METS! |
|||||||
04-14-24 | Padres +145 v. Dodgers | 6-3 | Win | 145 | 20 h 34 m | Show
San Diego at LA Dodgers 7:10 ET Padres over Dodgers- Former Dodgers Yu Darvsh (2-0, 3.86 ERA) will get the start for San Diego against his former teammates, well maybe some because he spent three seasons with the cubs and is in his fourth year with San Diego. Since parting LaLaland he is 4-5 against with an outstanding 2.27 ERA in 79 innings with 95 strikeouts, he like to get ready for the ‘Bums. Lefty James Paxton (2-0, 1.64) gets the nod for the Dodgers while only surrendering seven hits in 11 innings he has walked eight. Take SAN DIEGO! |
|||||||
04-14-24 | Rockets -3.5 v. Clippers | Top | 116-105 | Win | 100 | 20 h 3 m | Show |
Houston at L.A. Clippers 8:00 ET Rockets over Clippers- Okay, this is easy to explain...I think. Houston is 40-41 looking to keep from finishing under .500 for the regular season and currently out of the playoff picture. The Clippers are 51-30 (21 games better than the Rockets) and are 25-15 SU at home. The visitor despite winning only 17 of 41 road games are favored against a team that they have lost to nine straight times. If this doesn’t qualify as the ‘Don’t Make Sense’ Game ...what does! Take HOUSTON! |
|||||||
04-14-24 | Yankees -128 v. Guardians | Top | 7-8 | Loss | -128 | 14 h 32 m | Show |
NY Yankees at Cleveland 1:40 ET Yankees over Watch Dogs- Nasty Nestor is back! New York’s Nestor Cortez was a huge contributor for the Yankees in 2022 with 28 starts a 12-4 record with a 2.44 ERA. He had injury issues last season and was 5-2 in just 63 innings with an ERA of 4.97 but returned to form last time out. Pitching eight innings and allowing just two hits with no walks throwing 1-2 pitches on Monday. Cleveland who was off to a great start until New York came to town will start Logan Allen (2-0, 4.60) who was pounded by the weak hitting White Sox for seven hits and five runs in four innings lat time out on Tuesday. Logan is 0-1 vs New York with an ERA of 11.20 while Cortez is 1-0 in 18 innings versus ‘Erie Boys’ allowing just nine hits three of which were home runs. Take NEW YORK YANKEES! |
|||||||
04-14-24 | Giants -120 v. Rays | 4-9 | Loss | -120 | 14 h 30 m | Show
San Francisco at Tampa Bay 1:40 ET Giants over Rays- Blake Snell (0-1, 9.00 ERA) was quite unimpressive in his Giants debut throwing 72 pitches in just three inning giving up three runs on just two hits taking the loss against Washington. Snell who still feels he has a score to settle with his former club after being yanked in the playoffs is 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA in six innings. He comes out sharp today. take SAN FRANCISCO! |

04-14-24 | Bulls v. Knicks -14.5 | 119-120 | Loss | -115 | 16 h 37 m | Show
! Chicago at New York 1:00 ET Knicks (-) over Bulls- The Knicks realize that they have a legitimate shot at moving into the No. 2 spot in the east as Milwaukee will be at Orlando and a loss with a NY win give them the seed. this is the third meeting in the past two weeks between theses two and the line was NYK -5 and -1.5. I believe it is a tell...take NEW YORK! |
|||||||
04-14-24 | Bucks v. Magic -4.5 | 88-113 | Win | 100 | 15 h 22 m | Show
Milwaukee at Orlando 1:00 ET Magic (-) over Bucks- I’ve been watching and what I have gathered is that the Bucks are just waltzing through the final stages and will have a different attitude in a week. Milwaukee lead by Doc Rivers were all smiles after their recent blowout loss at OKC and they are not all that concerned with seeding. Orlando is off a 4-game win-less road trip and will be ready to clinch the No. 5 seed with a victory. Magic have lost 9-of-10 to the Buck but that doe’t seem to bother the odds-makers...take ORLANDO! |
|||||||
04-13-24 | Giants -104 v. Rays | 11-2 | Win | 100 | 5 h 31 m | Show
San Francisco at Tampa Bay 4:10 ET Giants over Rays- Run production for Tampa Bay starts with Yandy Diaz in the leadoff spot. It’s been a slow start for Diaz, who’s hitting .196 through 14 games, though he does have 10 RBI. Still, this feels like a mini dip in form for a hitter who posted a .330 batting average with 35 doubles and 22 home runs in 2023. The Rays will start Ryan Pepiot, who they acquired in the trade that sent Tyler Glasnow to the Dodgers. He’s only got 12 career starts under his belt, but he delivered a lights-out performance against the Colorado Rockies last weekend, with six shutout innings and 11 strikeouts. Nothing has come easily this month for the Tampa Bay Rays, with their last five wins coming by two runs or fewer. The Giants fell to 5-9 and they turn to Logan Webb (0-1, 4.86 ERA) today in a showdown that the latest MLB odds have as a coin flip. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
|||||||
04-13-24 | Nationals -125 v. A's | Top | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 4 h 29 m | Show |
Washington at Oakland 4:10 ET Nationals over A’s- The Oakland Athletics are doing the little things necessary for big things to happen. They've gained momentum by winning five of their past six games. They have come out on top in back-to-back one-run games. The Nationals are 2-2 on a West Coast trip and Washington manager Dave Martinez said he sees regular improvement from his team, but the club has only two runs across the last 19 innings on the trip. The Athletics will go with right-hander Joe Boyle (1-1, 8.22 ERA), who threw five shutout innings Sunday. Left-hander MacKenzie Gore (1-0, 4.09 ERA) is slated to be Washington's starter. He has worked into the sixth inning in both of his starts this season. Gore, in his third season in the big leagues, will face Oakland for the first time and pick up the win. Take WASHINGTON! |
|||||||
04-13-24 | Reds v. White Sox +113 | 5-0 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 33 m | Show
Cincinnati at Chicago White Sox 2:10 ET White Sox over Reds- Cincinnati routed Chicago 11-1 in Friday's series opener, rolling behind a 12-hit attack and seven strong innings from left-hander Andrew Abbott. Reds left-hander Nick Lodolo is slated to make his season debut when his team visits the Chicago White Sox on Saturday. The Reds will look to keep rolling behind Lodolo, who missed much of the 2023 season with a stress fracture in his left tibia. The White Sox have been held to one run or fewer in seven of 13 games this season. On Saturday, they'll aim to lend support to their top pitcher to date. Left-hander Garrett Crochet (1-1, 2.00 ERA) has struck out 21 batters in 18 innings this season. Crochet has pitched to a 0.00 ERA in three career appearances against the Reds, with two strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings. Lodolo has a 7.36 ERA in one career start vs. the White Sox. Take CHICAGO WHITE SOX |

04-12-24 | Pelicans +4.5 v. Warriors | 114-109 | Win | 100 | 11 h 60 m | Show
New Orleans at Golden State 10;00 ET Pelicans (+) over Warriors- The Pelicans (48-32) have a one-game lead over the Phoenix Suns (47-33) in their tussle for the sixth and final guaranteed playoff position in the Western Conference. The Suns hold the tiebreaker over New Orleans, meaning the Pelicans must retain their advantage in the standings over the final two games of the regular season in order to secure the No. 6 playoff spot. The Warriors (45-35) can't catch the Pelicans in the standings and thus cannot avoid a spot in the play-in tournament. Golden State, which has won three straight games and nine of its past 10. The line is too short. Take NEW ORLEANS! |
|||||||
04-12-24 | Cubs v. Mariners -114 | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 10 h 55 m | Show

Cubs left-hander Jordan Wicks (0-1, 4.15 ERA) is scheduled to start Friday against Mariners right-hander Bryce Miller (1-1, 3.00). Miller beat Milwaukee 5-3 on Saturday after pitching seven scoreless innings, allowing three hits and one walk and striking out seven. Miller will be facing the Cubs for the first time. Take SEATTLE! |
|||||||
04-12-24 | Bucks v. Thunder -15 | 107-125 | Win | 100 | 9 h 1 m | Show
! Milwaukee at Oklahoma City 8:00 ET Thunder (-) over Bucks- After Milwaukee posted a dominating win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on March 24. In their next seven games they went 1-6 and put themselves in danger of dropping out of the No. 2 spot in the Eastern Conference. The Bucks (49-31) need one win in their last two or losses by the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers to secure the position. The Thunder own the tiebreaker over the Nuggets but would likely lose out on a tiebreaker with the Timberwolves thanks to conference records. The Bucks won that first meeting of the season, 118-93, in Milwaukee. Antetokounmpo won't be playing Friday after suffering a strained left calf in Tuesday's win over Boston. Take OKLAHOMA CITY! |
|||||||
04-12-24 | Rangers v. Astros -121 | 12-8 | Loss | -121 | 8 h 27 m | Show
Texas at Houston 8:00 ET Astros over Rangers- The Astros and Texas Rangers, who split a four-game series last week in Arlington, Texas. Since both clubs are looking to shake off series defeats. The Rangers dropped two of three at home against the Oakland A's, while the Astros were swept in a three-game road set against the Kansas City Royals. Houston right-hander J.P. France (0-1, 4.76 ERA) is the scheduled starter on Friday. He allowed three runs on eight hits and two walks with four strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings in a 7-2 loss to the Rangers on Saturday, and he is with a 4.08 ERA in three career starts against Texas. France went 11-6 with a 3.83 ERA over 24 appearances (23 starts) as a rookie last season. Right-hander Dane Dunning (1-1, 4.15) is scheduled to start the series opener for the Rangers. Dunning is 0-3 with a 5.20 ERA over eight career appearances (five starts) against the Astros. He is 0-1 with a 6.35 ERA in two appearances (one start) at Houston. Take HOUSTON! |
|||||||
04-12-24 | Bulls v. Wizards -125 | Top | 129-127 | Loss | -125 | 8 h 2 m | Show |
Chicago at Washington 7:00 ET Wizards over Bulls- Chicago, with a 127-105 road rout of the Detroit Pistons on Thursday, clinched the No. 9 seed in the East and home-court edge for its matchup with No. 10 Atlanta last week. Chicago won the regular-season series against Atlanta 2-1. As the No. 9 and No. 10 seed, the Bulls and Hawks each need two wins in the play-in round to advance to the playoffs. Washington (15-65) heads into its final two games of the season guaranteed the worst record in franchise history, both in terms of total losses and win percentage. The 2023-24 Wizards will not finish with the NBA's worst record this season. Washington maintains a two-game lead over Detroit at the bottom of the East going into the final weekend. Though the Wizards ride a four-game losing streak into their final two games, they have been competitive lately. All four setbacks were by single-digit-point margins. The Bulls are locked-in and a win or loss means nothing. Take WASHINGTON! |
|||||||

Severino is 3-1 with a 4.66 ERA in five career starts against the Royals. Wacha is 5-3 with a 3.28 ERA in eight career starts against the Mets, the Chicago White Sox were the team he pitched for during the pandemic-shortened 2020 season. Take NEW YORK METS! |

04-11-24 | Pelicans +1.5 v. Kings | 135-123 | Win | 100 | 11 h 4 m | Show
New Orleans at Sacramento 10:00 ET Pelicans (+) over Kings- The Pelicans (47-32), winners of two in a row, have moved into sixth place in the West. But each remaining opponent has a chance to catch New Orleans by the end of play Sunday. The Kings' chances of winning the final game of the season series against the Pelicans and then potentially passing them in the standings involve more than just Ingram's status. Sacramento has injury issues. The Kings squandered a chance to stay within one game of the Pelicans in the loss column when they blew a 20-point lead in a 112-105 loss at Oklahoma City. Take NEW ORLEANS! |
|||||||

The Celtics became the first NBA team not to shoot a free throw during Tuesday's loss. Boston has won 13 straight home games. After Thursday's matchup, the Celtics will wrap up the regular season with home games against Charlotte and Washington. New York will conclude the regular season with home games against Brooklyn and Chicago. The Knicks are win-less in four games against the Celtics this season. Celtics will remain passive until the playoffs. Take NEW YORK! |

Milwaukee at Cincinnati 6:40 ET Reds over Brewers- Brewers left-hander Wade Miley will make his season debut after starting the year on the 15-day injured list with a left shoulder impingement. Miley was a valuable part of the Brewers' rotation last season as the team captured the National League Central, posting a 9-4 record with a 3.14 ERA Greene has been strong to start 2024, even though the Reds are 0-2 in his two starts. He has received a pair of no-decisions in 23 starts. Miley is 7-3 with a 2.86 ERA in 14 career games (13 starts) against the Reds. He faced them once in 2023, allowing just four hits and striking out eight over six scoreless innings in a 1-0 win in Milwaukee. Take CINCINNATI! |

The Mavericks, who have won 15 of their past 17 games, started this week with a thrilling 147-136 overtime win at home versus the Houston Rockets on Sunday. Heat guard Tyler Herro, playing just his third game since returning from injury, scored 33 points on Tuesday. He made 13 of 25 shots from the floor. Herro is the difference. Take MIAMI! |

04-08-24 | Purdue v. Connecticut -6.5 | Top | 60-75 | Win | 100 | 21 h 52 m | Show |
Purdue vs Connecticut 9:30 ET Huskies (-) over Boilermakers- Like I said last time out, ‘until someone beats this team there is no reason to play against the Huskies.’ Yes, of course, unless you are up against Zack Edey the Two-time NCAA Payer of the Year! Both of these clubs are championship worthy and I was surprised the opening number was as high as it was at -6.5. Most of my west coast Vegas friends like I believe the price would be Connecticut around -3...but of course my east coast people showed their bias and said it could have been higher. Now, my thoughts are who’s instincts are better. Las Vegas is very sharp and I respect their opinion as I do New York but in actuality as to who would have more influence over the outcome?...Straight-up, if this game was played without referees (I was one of them) I see Connecticut getting the best of a very good team The key of course is Zack Edey and I wonder after what I saw if he has been up against a player with the size and the talent of UConn’s 7’2’ 285 Lbs center Donovan Clingan who had four blocks against Alabama and controlled the boards. Take CONNECTICUT! |

04-08-24 | Astros -134 v. Rangers | Top | 10-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 34 m | Show |

Houston has allowed just one run and three hits total in its three victories this season. Texas had won three straight games before falling to the Astros on Sunday. The offense was silent after the Rangers racked up 31 hits in the first two games of the series. Left-hander Framber Valdez (0-0, 2.19 ERA) will start for the Astros in the finale. Valdez walked six in 4 2/3 innings in his season debut against the New York Yankees on March 28. He didn't walk anyone in his second outing when he gave up six hits in 7 2/3 scoreless innings against the Toronto Blue Jays last Tuesday. The 30-year-old struggled against Texas last season, going 1-2 with a 4.32 ERA in three starts. Overall, Valdez is 7-5 with a 2.90 ERA in 16 regular-season appearances (13 starts) against the Rangers. Left-hander Andrew Heaney (0-0, 1.93 ERA) will be on the mound for Texas on Monday. Heaney, 32, gave up three runs (one earned) and four hits over 4 2/3 innings in his lone start of the season, against the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday. Miami at Indiana 5:00 ET Heat (+) over Heat- The Heat, who are set to visit the Indiana Pacers on Sunday in Indianapolis, are 43-34 good enough for seventh place in the Eastern Conference. Indiana (44-34) is in sixth place, just a half-game ahead of Miami. Tyler Herro is finally back, and that could make the Miami Heat extra dangerous. Herro ranks second on the Heat in scoring (20.7), trailing only Jimmy Butler (21.0). Aside from the playoff implications, Sunday's contest will be interesting because the Heat have been better on the road (23-16) than at home (20-18). In fact, only the Boston Celtics have more road wins than Miami among Eastern Conference teams. Indiana, meanwhile, has been just about as good at home (24-15) as Miami on the road. Take MIAMI! |

UConn (35-3), the top-ranked team in the nation, is 10-1 in Final Four and championship games all-time. No program has a better mark. The Huskies own a 69-32 record in the NCAA Tournament, and they won both their meetings with the Crimson Tide. While all five of UConn's starters average in double figures and the Huskies can be just as dangerous on defense. The Huskies haven't allowed more than 58 points to an opponent since March 15. Alabama (25-11) is in its first Final Four, and the Crimson Tide have also played strong defense to get to within two wins of a national championship. Lakers 3:30 ET Lakers (-) over Cavaliers- Los Angeles (44-33) entered Friday holding on to a spot in the play-in tournament, sitting ninth after a successful 5-1 road trip that ended with Wednesday. Securing a guaranteed playoff spot isn't out of the question, though, as the Lakers are just 1 1/2 games behind the Phoenix Suns, the first team above the play-in line. Cleveland (46-31) finds itself in a much more favorable position at third in the Eastern Conference, it still has to watch its back. The Cavaliers were just a half-game ahead of both the Orlando Magic and New York Knicks but Inconsistency has started to plague Cleveland, which has alternated wins and losses over its past seven games getting blow out in their last four losses. There's a good chance both will sit out Friday when Oklahoma takes on the Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis. The Pacers (43-34) are coming off a 115-111 loss in Brooklyn on Wednesday. With five games remaining, Indiana is trying to climb out of play-in position and into the playoff field. 04-02-24 | Utah +3.5 v. Indiana State | Top | 90-100 | Loss | -105 | 18 h 52 m | Show |
Utah vs Indiana State 7:00 ET Utes (+) over Sycamores- Utah (22-14) closed its regular season with eight losses in its final 12 games, followed by a defeat to Colorado in the Pac-12 tournament quarterfinals. Still, the Utes earned an NIT bid as a No. 2 seed and they've certainly made the most of their opportunity. Utah's bumpy finish to the postseason feels like a distant memory at this point. The resurgent Utes find themselves in the NIT Final Four in Indianapolis, where they will battle Indiana State (and likely a large contingent of Sycamore fans) in Tuesday's first semifinal. The top-seeded Sycamores (31-6), who gave up 92 points to SMU in their NIT opener and Indiana State yielded 81 points in a four-point win over Cincinnati in the quarterfinals. Great season for State but the difference in the level of competition played with be on display tonight. Take UTAH! |

St. Louis at San Diego 9:40 ET Cardinals over Padres- The San Diego Padres are showing the type of offensive punch they so often lacked last year averaging 7.5 runs per game. Yet they are just 2-3 on the season. The Padres have some concerns about starting pitching which is their weakest link. St. Louis has emerged from spring training feeling good about its prospects of bouncing back from a 71-91 record, its first losing season in 16 years and first 90-loss campaign since 1990. Veteran right-hander Kyle Gibson is coming off a 15-9 season in 2023 for the American League East champion Baltimore Orioles. He'll make his sixth career start against San Diego, going 2-1 with a 4.28 ERA in the previous five and 1-0 with a 6.32 ERA in three outings at Petco Park. Take ST. LOUIS! |

Cleveland at Seattle 9:40 ET Watch Dogs over Mariners- The Cleveland Guardians expected a lot out of Triston McKenzie last season. McKenzie (0-3, 5.06 ERA in 2023) is scheduled to make his 2024 debut Monday night when the Guardians open a three-game series at Seattle. He went 11-11 with a 2.96 ERA in 2022. But the right-hander suffered an ulnar collateral ligament sprain last spring that sidelined him until June, then a major muscle strain. Seattle will start Emerson Hancock (0-0, 4.50 ERA in 2023), who had his own injury issues after making his major league debut last season. Seattle has a total of 10 runs on 23 hits and has struck out 45 times. Take CLEVELAND! |

N.C. State vs Duke 5:20 ET Blue Devils (-) over Wolfpack- Atlantic Coast Conference foes Duke and North Carolina State will play Sunday for the third time this month, and the plight of one of the squads is entirely different from just four weeks ago. No. 11 seed NC State is looking for its ninth consecutive victory after reaching the Elite Eight for the first time since 1986. The once underachieving Wolfpack (25-14) are now a team on a mission as they enter the showdown with the fourth-seeded Blue Devils (27-8) in Dallas, with the winner of the South Region title contest earning a spot in the Final Four. These two met twice 10 days apart in March on the 4th and 14th with each winning on the others floor, the last of which was a Wolfpack win in Durham. This time around...take DUKE! |

03-31-24 | Cavs +5 v. Nuggets | Top | 101-130 | Loss | -115 | 5 h 46 m | Show |
Cleveland at Denver 3:30 ET Cavaliers (+) over Nuggets- Denver (51-23) has lost two straight, including a pivotal game to Minnesota on Friday night, to fall into third in the West with eight games remaining. The Nuggets also are concerned with the health of center Nikola Jokic, who is dealing with a sore right wrist. Jokic had his right arm wrapped when he was on the bench during the 111-98 loss to the Timberwolves. The Cavaliers (45-29) are third in the Eastern Conference, just a half-game ahead of New York and 1 1/2 games behind Milwaukee for second. Cleveland climbed the standings with a 17-2 stretch to start the calendar year but followed that up by going 10-13. Cleveland lost four of the six games while Donovan Mitchell was out with a broken nose and starts a difficult six-game road trip. Mitchell's return to the Cleveland lineup after a six-game absence led to a win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night. The Cavaliers won the first meeting between the teams, 121-109 in Cleveland on Nov. 19 when Mitchell and Murray missed for separate injuries. This one will be in Denver where the Nuggets were dominant until the past two games. They are 29-8 at home while the Cavaliers have struggled on the road of late. Cleveland has lost four of its past five away from home but still has a winning road record (21-15). Mitchell’s return is the difference. Take CLEVELAND! |

Purdue faces the Volunteers (27-8) for the second time this season, having defeated Tennessee 71-67 in the Maui Invitational in November. But unlike the rematch against the Zags the Boilermakers may have a bit more struggles against the Volunteers defense. Take TENNESSEE! |

03-31-24 | Pirates v. Marlins -132 | Top | 9-7 | Loss | -132 | 3 h 45 m | Show |
Pittsburgh at Miami 1:40 ET Marlins over Pirates- It is very unusual for me to switch sides in a series especially after winning the last two of a 4-game set but I believe that I’ve moved over to another winner. The Pirates have won four straight over Miami going back to the final game of 2023 and already a three game start on the 2024. But, Sunday the pitching matchup can not be ignored and the edge is so huge for the Marlins I could not stay away. The Marlins will start Trevor Rogers who sat out most of last season appearing in just four games and working 18 total innings. He showed signs of greatness allowing less hits than innings and with more strike outs that hits allowed. On the other side Pittsburgh will send lefty Bailey Falter who in 40 innings he allowed 25 runs and 10 home runs with an ERA close to six runs per game. Take MIAMI! |
|||||||
03-30-24 | Clemson +3.5 v. Alabama | Top | 82-89 | Loss | -108 | 11 h 59 m | Show |
Clemson vs Alabama 8:50 ET Tigers (+) over Crimson Tide- Saturday's NCAA Tournament West Regional final matchup pitting No. 4 seed Alabama against No. 6 seed Clemson comes with a guarantee to be a landmark moment for either program, as each is vying for its first Final Four spot in school history. The two have faced off in the national title game three times since the inauguration of the College Football Playoff in 2014 which is one time more than either basketball program has appeared in the NCAA Tournament's Elite Eight, including Saturday's contest. Alabama (24-11) beat top-seeded North Carolina 89-87 on Thursday to reach its first Elite Eight since 2004 and it will be difficult for them to maintain that level of play. Defeating Carolina was a huge accomplishment and they are riding high right now. Clemson (24-11) is playing its first Elite Eight game since 1980 after beating No. 2 seed Arizona 77-72 on Thursday. The regional-final round might be unfamiliar territory for the Crimson Tide and Tigers, but the teams know each other. Clemson knocked off Alabama in Tuscaloosa, 85-77 on Nov. 28 and they are ready to do it again. Take CLEMSON! |

NY Yankees at Houston 7:15 ET Yankees over Astros- Right-hander Marcus Stroman (10-9, 3.95 ERA in 2023) will make his Yankees debut as their scheduled starter on Saturday. Right-hander Hunter Brown (11-13, 5.09 ERA in 2023) is scheduled to start for the Astros on Saturday. He recorded a decision in 11 consecutive appearances (10 starts) going 5-6 with a 7.11 ERA during that stretch. After starting last season 5-1 with a 3.12 ERA, Brown dropped six of seven decisions with a 5.83 ERA over his subsequent eight starts. 03-30-24 | Cubs +113 v. Rangers | Top | 2-11 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 12 m | Show |
Chicago Cubs at Texas 7:05 ET Cubs over Rangers- The Rangers will receive their championship rings prior to the contest on Saturday against the Cubs. For some reason this rarely seems to work for the clubs receiving their rewards. Texas hopes to capitalize on that momentum when it sends left-hander Cody Bradford to the mound. Bradford, posted a 4-3 record with a 5.30 ERA in 20 appearances (eight starts) last season, his first in the majors. He has yet to face the Cubs in his career. Right-hander Kyle Hendricks, the final remaining player from Chicago's 2016 World Series-winning team, will get the start on Saturday. He was injured last season but put together a 6-8 record with a 3.74 ERA in 24 starts last season. He allowed three hits over six scoreless innings to win his lone career encounter against Texas, in 2016. Take CHICAGO CUBS! |

03-30-24 | Illinois +8.5 v. Connecticut | 52-77 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 16 m | Show
Illinois vs Connecticut 6:05 ET Fighting Illini (+) over Huskies- Top-seeded UConn has put together a dominant NCAA Tournament run as the Huskies (34-3) have won their first three games of the tourney by an average of 28.7 points. The Fighting Illini may have the best player in the tourney in Terrence Shannon Jr., who poured in a game-high 29 points on 10-of-19 shooting in the 72-69 victory over Iowa State. Shannon has now scored at least 25 points in seven straight games dating back to the regular-season finale. Shannon leads the Fighting Illini at 23.5 points per game. Domask is second at 15.8 and Hawkins rounds out the top three at 12.3. The Huskies have been a bit more balanced, with five players averaging at least 10.9 points. UConn is looking to reach its seventh Final Four in program history as it continues its title defense. Illinois will attempt to wrap up the East Region to punch its sixth ticket to the Final Four, and the Fighting Illini's first since 2005. The Illini have enough talent to give the Huskies their first real test...take ILLINOIS! |

03-30-24 | Celtics v. Pelicans +6.5 | 104-92 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 1 m | Show
Boston at New Orleans 5:00 ET Pelicans (+) over Celtics- The Boston Celtics have lost consecutive games for just the third time all season. The Celtics (57-16) still have the NBA's best record and had won nine games in a row before losing twice in three nights to the Hawks in Atlanta. They lost a 30-point lead in a 120-118 loss Monday and dropped a 123-122 decision Thursday when Dejounte Murray made a basket in the final second of overtime. Boston already has clinched the top seed in the Eastern Conference so the rest of the regular season is essentially preparation for the playoffs. New Orleans (45-28) is 1-1 to start a six-game homestand that began with a 119-112 loss to Oklahoma City. The Celtics won the first meeting with the Pelicans, 118-112, on Jan. 29 in Boston. 03-30-24 | Pirates +100 v. Marlins | 9-3 | Win | 100 | 5 h 15 m | Show
Pittsburgh at Miami 4:10 ET Pirates over Marlins- Pittsburgh has won the first two games of the season-opening series, including 7-2 on Friday. The Pirates are 2-0 for the first time since 2018. Pittsburgh starting pitcher Jared Jones entered spring training expecting to begin the season at the Triple-A level. Instead, the highly touted prospect will be on the mound for his major league debut when the Pirates play on Saturday. Jones earned a spot in the Pirates' rotation after tossing 16 1/3 scoreless innings across six games (five starts) in the Grapefruit League. Miami will send left-hander Ryan Weathers (1-8, 6.55 ERA in 2023) to the mound against the Pirates. Weathers solidified his spot in the rotation after recording a 3.00 ERA and a 21-to-4 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 18 innings during spring training. He had a 7.62 ERA in three games (two starts) with Miami after being acquired last August. National League batting champion Luis Arraez is 0-for-10 for the Marlins, who have hit into seven double plays through two games. Take PTTSBURGH! |

03-29-24 | Creighton +3.5 v. Tennessee | 75-82 | Loss | -120 | 11 h 13 m | Show
Creighton vs Tennessee 10:10 ET Blue Jays (+) over Volunteers- Neither Tennessee or Creighton who have a combined 51 NCAA Tournament appearances have yet to make their first trip to the Final Four and a pair of victories would end that drought. Tennessee (26-8), the No. 2 seed, has one Elite Eight appearance in 2010. The Volunteers reached the Sweet 16 last season, then got upset by Florida Atlantic 62-55. No. 3 seed Creighton (25-9) had a tough time getting to Detroit after a 77-60 win over No. 14 seed Akron in the first round. The Bluejays were taken to double overtime by No. 11 seed Oregon before pulling out an 86-73 win. The Bluejays came agonizingly close to reaching the Final Four last spring, falling in the Elite Eight to San Diego State, 57-56. Creighton's three top scorers Baylor Scheierman, Alexander and Ryan Kalkbrenner also were their top three offensive threats last season. They'll take one more crack at ending the school's Final Four drought. They do it here...take CREIGHTON! |

Duke and Houston 9:40 ET Blue Devils (+) over Cougars- Houston boasts the nation's top defensive unit and the fourth-seeded Blue Devils (26-8) face top-seeded Houston (32-4) in the Sweet 16 on Friday night in the South Region in Dallas. Houston has reached the Sweet 16 for the fifth straight NCAA Tournament but the Cougars were dispatched 89-75 by Miami in last year's Sweet 16. Houston almost was ousted Sunday before surviving 100-95 in overtime against ninth-seeded Texas A&M. The Cougars, who lead the nation in scoring defense (57.7 points per game) and field-goal- percentage defense (37.8). Houston is tied for 14th in 3-point-shooting defense at 30 percent. But, the Blue devils are patient and discipline enough to match the Cougars. Take DUKE |

Phoenix, which ranks fourth in the league shooting 49.6 percent from the floor, has won four of its past five, including a 104-97 victory at Denver on Wednesday. Kevin Durant had 30 points and 13 rebounds in the win. Over his past three games, Durant is shooting 67.9 percent from the floor. The Thunder (50-22), who are second in the league in field-goal percentage (49.9), might be missing one of their key players versus the Suns. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander missed just his second game of the season in Wednesday's overtime loss to the Rockets. Oklahoma City is tied with the Minnesota Timberwolves for second in the West, a half-game behind the Denver Nuggets for the top spot. They fall short here. Take PHOENIX! |

03-29-24 | Yankees +106 v. Astros | Top | 7-1 | Win | 106 | 9 h 1 m | Show |
New York at Houston 8:10 ET Yankees over Astros- It was quite a surprise the way the Yankees rallied from a 4-0 deficit to defeat the Astros. To start with they have not been the type of club that is able to rally because of their all or nothing philosophy. New York has had Houston’s number during the regular season winning the past four meetings but it has been the Astros who dominated the post season meetings. This is not the post season and Carlos Rodon made one of his rare appearances and shut down the Astros last September and he can do it again...after all it is still the regular season. Cristian Javier (10-5, 4.56 ERA in 2023) labored down the stretch last season, posting an 0-3 record and 5.11 ERA over six starts before twirling six shutout innings in an 8-1 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Oct. 1. Javier is 1-1 in five games (four starts) against the Yankees in his career. Last season, he was 0-1. He absorbed a 6-1 loss to the Yankees on Sept. 3 at Minute Maid Park. New York’s Carlos Rodon is 3-0 with a 2.50 ERA in his career against Houston. Take NEW YORK YANKEES! |

The Nets (28-45) earned a pair of wins over Chicago as part of their 13-10 start and hit 25 3s in their 118-109 home win on Nov. 26. Since then they are 15-35, including 7-12 under interim coach Kevin Ollie. Pelicans guard Jose Alvarado called the loss "a great learning experience," and Giannis Antetokounmpo had a similar description of the Bucks' loss to the Lakers. In a scheduling quirk, this is the second time this season that the Pelicans have played the Bucks in between games against the Thunder and the Celtics. The first trio of games didn't go well. New Orleans lost at home to Oklahoma City, 107-83, on Jan. 26, was routed 141-117 by host Milwaukee the next night and lost at Boston, 118-112, two nights after that. 03-28-24 | Twins -117 v. Royals | 4-1 | Win | 100 | 5 h 28 m | Show
Minnesota at Kansas City 4:10 ET Twins over Royals- The Minnesota Twins open their American League Central title defense against the host Kansas City Royals on Thursday afternoon. The Twins had a relatively quiet offseason, with more significant departures than roster additions. Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said of Lopez making his second consecutive Opening Day start for Minnesota. Making his first career Opening Day start, left-hander Cole Ragans leads a revamped Royals pitching staff. In his only previous start against the Twins, Ragans allowed one run and five hits over four innings while pitching for the Texas Rangers in 2022. Kansas City was one of the most active teams this past offseason, spending over $110 million in free agency to rebuild a pitching staff that ranked near the bottom of the majors in many pitching metrics. All of the moves come in the wake of a 56-106 campaign in which the Royals matched the franchise record for losses. Take MINNESOTA! |
